I used this so called lawyer for custody hearing. He Never filed one motion on my behalf. When my ex wife took my daughter out of state on my possession days he failed to file a motion to stop it or file a complaint afterwards. This clown took over 20,000.00 dollars from me and did absolutely nothing on my behalf. Sold me a bill of goods saying I could and should get 50/50 custody of my child. After getting over 18,000.00 dollars, he started back peddling saying I should just be nicer and forget about it. My ex wifes lawyer changed judges at the last minute Once again Barger did nothing to stop it. I fired this clown after he wanted another 6,000.00 on top of the 20,000 dollars he took... He will milk you dry and do nothing to help you...

I had my consultation with Mr. Barger to discuss the case and cost. At that time he told me the retainer would be $4,000. I asked if that would be the final total and he said, if anything, maybe $200/$300 more to file the order. We went to court 10/2020 to finalize child custody/child support orders. In 11/2020 I was hit with another invoice. We are now in 10/2023, I have paid around $9,500 in fees, and my orders still have not been finalized. Every time I call, I get the runaround and get told someone will call me back, but no one does. I am now in the process of filing a grievance.

I have used multiple lawyers for my divorce. Mr. Barger was mediocre. To his credit it was during Coivd and zoom legal hearings were new for everyone. However he gets 1 star because after terminating services, I kept getting charged for things that clearly had not been done or did not take as much time as claimed. After the hearing I told him to close me out. One week later I got a bill. (I had paid prior to the hearing and expected that would be it) I didnt really think it was insane, just a little much. two weeks later I got another, I thought that was absurd. One YEAR later I started getting collections calls. I had paid everything that I was asked to pay. The hourly charges were absolutely insane for someone who seemed not to have a basic understanding as to what I was asking him to argue. Not to mention the fact that it doesnt take 60 hours to CLOSE A CLIENTS ACCOUNT AFTER ONE HEARING THAT LASTED AN HOUR... Avoid if you have a sense of right and wrong or if you are hoping to walk away from your legal situation, win or lose, without getting rammed in the rear by the greedy paws of Barger and assoc. Sticky Bandits, Wet Bandits, and the Hourly Bandits. Super good solitaire players I hear.

I ve never met Mr. Barger, he did my consultation by phone last minute after his secretary called me to say he wanted to reschedule because he was sick. So we consulted by phone and he mailed me his contract, I deposited his full retainer and pre-paid for consultation. Then by Gods Grace my wife and I worked things out and decided to stop the process. Our case never went to court, they billed me twice because instead of printing the non-fillable pdf file they said they needed I wrote the information on lined paper, scanned it and posted it to their website. When I told them I no longer needed their services I was then notified that I would have to wait 30 days for my refund, today is day 42 of waiting for my refund. While I was told by my wife that her attorney wasn t looking forward to facing Mr. Barger, I can t recommend him.

I am so glad that I chose Mr. Barger to represent me in my recent case. He and his staff (Angie!) were respectful, understanding, and compassionate. My case got complicated and there were times when I made changes that diverted our course of action; however, I never sensed that Jason/staff were at all frustrated or upset by the complications. I also received quick responses to all calls and emails and was never left in the dark about what was going on with my case. Barger Law helped me make the best out of a bad situation and I could not be more thankful and appreciative.

I found Jason Barger in the midst of a long and difficult divorce, after having had bad experiences with two other law firms. Mr. Barger took charge immediately, which was exactly what I needed. Instead of doing my own research and explaining all of the messy details to ensure my attorney fought for me and my children, I was able to put everything in his hands. I didnt have to convince him specific things were needed- he just did what needed to be done. I was happy with the final agreement, and I didnt think that was possible before I hired this firm. Jason Barger was very professional, kept me constantly informed on what was happening with my case, and always responded to me in a timely manner. His staff was very friendly, and always there to help. I found his fee to be reasonable, and felt that my money was well spent.
