Where do I begin? We had a party of 20 for my daughters basketball team and parents. Parents were seated at one table (13 adults) and kids (7 kids) at the other table. We get seated fairly quickly with 4-5 setups of salsa on each table and no menus or napkins or chips. The waiter comes to get drink orders. We ask for drink menus which he said they didn t have any. Okay no big deal we just ordered what we wanted based off what we usually like. We get our chips before our drinks come out. Still not an issue. Still a little annoyed we haven t been given any menus yet. We were eventually brought maybe 6 menus to share and the kids brought 2 to look over. Our drinks come out and we begin ordering for us and our kids. I can t speak for everyone but I ordered for my 2 daughters sitting at the nearby table. Refills on drinks mainly came from one of the parents that found a pitcher of coke and a pitcher of sprite nearby and was able to fill our glasses because the waitstaff was very inattentive. Food came out fairly quickly. Still no napkins but one of the parents was able to track down a napkin dispenser from an empty table so he distributed napkins to everyone at our table. One of the kids and one of the adults at our table did not get their food which was then told to the waiter. Their new plates of food came out after everyone else was done eating. Now it s time to split the checks. After a grueling 45 mins of everyone having to re explain what we ordered to the waiter, most of us got our tickets. But where s mine? So I walk up front because at this point it s been an hour since we ve been ready to go, and I m handed a ticket for $93.41 for 1 adult entree ($17.75), one margarita and 2 kids meals? Nope they charged us for adult meals for the kids. After explaining that can t be right the waiter argues that s what the kids ordered and that s the price. But no I told you what to order for the kids and I never said $20 meals for them. Then he gets his manager who still doesn t try to fix the issue. After 20 mins of this, I m finally given a corrected bill for $73 which still wasn t correct. I just was so desperate to get out of there at that point I just paid it. This was the absolute worst service of any restaurant I ve ever been to.

After having a bad experience at our usual place, Don Pepe s. We decided to go here, they opened the door for us, all the waiters greeted us at the door, sat us down in a table for 6 but we were only 4 but we appreciated the room bc at Don Pepe s the table for 4 literally has no room! Anyways, our waiter was amazing, brought our drinks along with chips and 3 delicious salsas not even 15 min later we had our entrees and they did not disappoint!! My 2 y.o stuffed his face with my rice, had to get a side order just for him! My entomatadas were flavor party in my mouth! Everything was great! Employees looked happy and were very helpful. Even had complimentary pictures taken of our family having dinner, such a sweet gesture Overall impressed! Definitely recommend.

BREAKFAST BUFFET!! Yes I put it in all Caps. 8.99 gets you the best Breakfast buffet in the entire RGV. Homemade tortillas both flour and corn to order. Next time I go I will take photos. They also cook eggs to order, i.e. sunny side up, over easy.Migas, Machacado, and so many other Mexican delicacies. Its a must dont be discouraged because its a buffet. Its always super clean and food is made in small batches. Coming out fresh every half an hour or so. Pictures soon I promise

The food here was mediocre. There wasn t anything special about the Tex Mex food. The service was spotty, our waitress only came around a few times doing the bare minimum. The atmosphere was horrible. We came when there was a live boxing promotion event. The announcer was screaming into a mic and people were shouting. It made my family and I uncomfortable for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant as well as the bathrooms were dirty.

Very large indoor Mexican restaurant. It s lost its appeal over the years. The service becomes a little weak when serving large parties. We ve had the fajita botana platter and have been very satisfied. Portion sizes are large. Rice and beans taste authentic. Their chips and salsa are also good. Nice added touch with the traditional Mexican colors and decor. The large fountain in the center tie it all together. Parking: Large parking at the back, side or front. Kid-friendliness: Yes. They may still have adult karaoke late weekends. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Very spacious. No stairs

The food was very bad, I ordered a barbecue for eight people surf and turf and it was very greasy, little meat and a lot of bones, when I paid they did not give me the list of what I consumed, they only gave me the amount, I paid more than 400 dollars. I expected the meat to be of a certain degree of quality, but no, the price was too high for the quantity and quality. Unquestionably, this is the best Palenque taco in terms of prices and especially in terms of the quality of the meat.

Place look dirty and outdated from inside and outside. Walls in the kitchen looked dirty. Floors had dirt pile from days on the entrance. Fountain looked dry and it need maintenance. Food for morning buffet didnt taste that good. Tortillas holders werent clean after each person. Just removed and restock for a second person to use. The only good thing was the cook doing breakfast but at the same time waiting in line was inconvenient.

I used the drive thru service. The service was pretty quick, the items were wrapped up securely and kept warm, and while I ve had a lot of chicken tacos, these ones were exceptionally delicious. My only feedback would be that it would be nice to have the menu posted at the drive thru window rather than just the QR code I have t-mobile, and my service was a little iffy in the area.

Mediocre mid - Ate fried fish and shrimp with no seasoning just basic ah batter - the marisco was good but it s too salty - ni La salsa tiene sabor - Drinks are over priced - I came from up north and they re literally more expensive here than there where the cost of living is higher - I bought a red bull and vodka for like 12 dollars and they didn t even give me the entire 3 dollar can of red bull he was charging me another 5 for the other half the can, glass was literally a shot of cheap ah vodka and about 4-6oz of redbull and the rest was ice - Margaritas up north where I work are 8 dollars with more liquor, their margaritas are 11 dollars and they prolly have like maybe 1 shot in them - wouldn t recommend, the building is nice, the karaoke would be great if it wasn t for everyone there singing sad depressing songs todos amargados llorando I was honestly falling asleep

The culinary experience left something to be desired, some of the meat was a little toasted and the belly didnt have much flavor, but what I really didnt like was the karaoke, the air freshener jumped on me and made some people who seemed like her friends sing... We ordered a mixed snack for 3, I could count the little pieces of meat they put in, full of nerve and leather, yes, there were a lot of nachos and beans in the snack, maybe on the menu they should say that the snack is chips and beans, They only give you 6 tortillas for 3 people! Whats wrong with them? It is very expensive and it is not even well served!!!! I had already forgotten the reason for stopping eating in ponchos before, and this was the reason! Would leave 0-stars if possible but I m giving 1-star for the good customer service. The food was horrendous we paid $150 for 4 people and left unsatisfied. Also, the inside of this restaurant is very depressing. 10 years ago, it was a place to come and celebrate birthdays, graduations, and special moments. This place now looks dark, sad, and like it s only making enough to pay rent. It does not care about the experience of its customers. Do not spend your money on this place and go find another place in the RGV.

Walking into the restaurant the host and door person very nice. Sat immediately. Waitress gave horrible service from beginning. Extremely pricey even with todays inflated prices. Expect to spend $25 per person for food and another $15 per drink. Waitstaff would barely move to provide service. Food was ok but with so many options in the city, I WOULDNT return. At the bar the buffet, the bar is not very big but with very good flavor, I liked the barbecue and the Menudo and also with handmade corn and flour tortillas, but the best thing about the buffet is Señor Miguel, who is the one who cooks anything you want to order, hot cakes, omelettes, mashed potatoes, etc., excellent cook. As a waiter, Mr. Pedro, very helpful and attentive, excellent at his job. The place is big, there are musicians, clean bathrooms, large parking. I highly recommend it.
