This used to be my favorite burger place in the valley. I loved coming in on Tuesdays for their .50 cent 3 pound burgers. But today I learned that they upped the price to 3 dollars and are now forcing you to buy a side with each burger, which now will run you $10-15 dollars total. What if I dont want a side? Im just disappointed, probly wont come back. 09/28/24: After reading the update from the owner, Id like to clarify, it may not have been a 3 pound burger, but I am 100% sure the Tuesday special was NOT 3 dollars before, and you were certainly NOT obliged to buy a side.

this is my second time here, i loved the fried pickles and their onion rings are so different md delicious, they are thinly sliced and it made them really sweet. definitely try their fungus amungus burger! and on WEDNESDAY they have Wednesday Wing special and the wings are only 50 cents each! i recommend the Seoul Sauce and Garic Parm flavor! their wings are decently size as well!

Food is great, but customer service is not. After ordering combos the cashier gave us our cups for fountain drinks. All fountain drinks were flat and after bringing it up to the cashier s attention, she replied that they have been flat for two days. The manager stepped out and offered bottled drinks for the inconvenience which was great but after receiving our order it was incomplete smh. I had to request my side order three times until they finally gave me my side order to go after I had finished eating at the restaurant.

This is a high class establishment, great food made hot and prepared with fresh ingredients. The setting is modern rustic and the restaurant is sparkling clean with a polite and attentive staff. I put a review up on my instagram about tower burger saying that they are false advertising with the wing special for 50cents. That s the main reason people go. They fail to advertise that you have to buy a side and a drink to get the wing special. Point being there is really no deal it comes as the same price of a regular meal. To top it off they BLOCKED me on instagram so the comment won t come out. At the end of the day my 8,000 followers are gonna see what false advertisement they are holding. An amazing burger joint that sources their meat locally and has a solid variety of options - including of the non-burger variety. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces available, albeit shared with other storefronts. Kid-friendliness: While not a restaurant tailored to children, there is a child menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Wholly wheelchair accessible, and easily maneuverable in and out. Handicapped parking available right outside the front door.

The burgers are good, the fries are 100% natural, the place is more or less clean, just two things that I will personally give my opinion since it was what I ordered. Point 1.- I ordered jalapeño peppers but oh surprise, 1 dollar for a very small glass for the price of the product . 2.- At the time of paying and receiving the first ticket arriving at the table we realized that they take money from you without telling you. The first ones were hamburgers and they took .75 cents from us, when I later bought the chilies they obviously gave me another ticket since at that time we were having dinner and when they saw the ticket they took money from you again, in this case it was 60 cents. Here the point is not the amount, but that they take money from you WITHOUT TELLING YOU ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING AND THIS IS THEFT.

Tower Burger never disappoints! The fried pickles are to die for and if you try them with their buffalo sauce wow! Food quality is great and although a bit pricey, you ll walk out of there happy and satisfied. They have lots of good options on their menu and are willing to customize your burger however you want it. Everything is good but I highly recommend eating in especially if you ve ordered the fried pickles or onion strings as their packaging tends to make them soggy. There s plenty of variety in their fountain drinks and they even offer Cholula sauce! This place is a special eating out option and highly recommended! My favorite is the Blue Buffalo with onion strings and friend pickles! Always craving Tower Burger!

Order to go. Placed 3 orders of wings, 2 garlic parm and 1 buffalo with 3 ranchs. Doubled checked with the employee at register placing my order if it was correct she said yes. Then before I leave, I check my order. I only got 2 orders of parm and 1 individual buffalo wing and 2 ranchs. I thought this was a joke to received only 1 individual wing buffalo. I went back to the employee that placed my order and showed her my order was taken wrong. She doubledcheck how she took the order and said she made the mistake. Then I had to pay again because the employee took my order wrong. Then while I wait for that order to come out, while my food already to go gets cold. Then I got my order, doublechecked it. It was right. I asked about my third ranch, I order originally and she said only 1 ranch is allowed for to go orders. I told her I ordered 3 ranchs. She didnt give me the ranch. Customer service was horrible especially for it not busy during this time. And, Tower Burger why would you allow your customers 1 ranch for to go order, when I order 3 orders. But if you eat your wings at the restuarant, you get 1 ranch per order. That doesnt make any sense. Took about 40mins altogether. Was not busy at all. Time was between 6pm-6:30pm. Very Displeased. Also 3% gratuity charge added with no sign anywhere and Im taking my order to go. They even did my order wrong! I hope this review makes future customers aware and learn from my experience. I hope Tower Burger owners read this. If it wasnt for your customers you wouldnt have a business.

The food here is usually good, but today I had a red velvet cinnamon roll that was absolutely inedible. It was so dried out, like it had been made weeks ago. They would not give me a refund or exchange it for something else. If I go back, I ll never get a dessert there again.

Love the burgers here, but this is now my 4th time to go in, wait for cashier , then be told it would be about 40 min for my food. Don t know how you all plan to make it if you don t staff your restaurant properly. You all have my favorite burger in the valley, but I am giving up on trying to go for lunch because it wastes so much time when you all are backed up. I m glad they took a while unloading our truck at the HONGKONG GROCERY. It took me a couple of days to write this review. I loved the quality and quantity of the burgers. My issue is the extra charges added to the bill that are NOT posted anywhere in the establishment. They have a credit card use extra charge and they also have a 3% gratuity charge that is NOT posted anywhere! I paid in cash and yet both of those charges we added to my bill. Why are they charging a gratuity bill for 2 people in an establishment where you sit and all they do is bring the food to your table? Why dont they post that! I am giving them 2 stars for the principal of not being transparent. Is it legal for an eating establishment to have additional charges without posting them?

This is strictly on The wings. There s a Wednesday deal .25c only 1 flavor 8 wing max per person and only dine in or take out but in person order only. Was debating between XO and the Seoul Sauce .waitress was nice enough to offer samples of the sauce. Honestly the seoul sauce was more tangy rather than spicy. When I think and see Korean inspired sauces, gochagang is what I visioned at least tasting and seeing that deep red color. The sauce wasn t closed to what I thought it would be. The XO sample was a bit sweet so I ended up trying the Seoul sauce but light on it. I still like the sample and curious how it would be on the wings. Wings definitely are a great value for Wednesday deal and probably would be back to try some of the other flavors. Nice crunch more like a tempura batter that is used for the wings.

I had the Snoop Dog at the McAllen location and it didnt compare to the first one I ate at the Alamo location. I couldnt stop raving about that one. This one was very sub par. Bun was cold and dense, the hot dog was small, bacon was scanty, and it was way overloaded with jalapeños (i took a bunch of them off). Most likely wont be going back to this location for the Snoop Dog.

Use to come to Tower Burger often, but lately the service is very bad. To busy hanging out in the back, to make sure customers had what they needed. Had to go get my own utensils, codoments, and napkins. When the order came, the cheese was wrong, burger overcooked, bacon was hard as rock. Why ask how I want my burger cooked if they all come well, well, done? When I asked about the wrong cheese, they said they were out of that type of cheese. But the person I was with had the cheese I had ordered on their burger. So they were not willing to make my order right. Very skimpy on some of the expensive add-ons to my burger also. Then, there is a non disclosed 3% gratuity charge to the meal that is not posted anywhere. For what, to bringing me my food that I wasnt happy with. I will say the fries were good but will not be coming back.

This place could be the jewel of McAllen if they adjust their menu and some service items. Burgers are good, Fries were super soggy, chili cheese fries were bland, and the cheese sauce ruined them and made soggier. The onion strings were dripping oil and seem to come from a bag. Not a place I would strongly recommend. Advice: listen to your customers, update your menu, you need a new manager that is in tune with what a good restaurant should run like, empty drink dispensers and soggy food are a recipe for non-returning customers.

I had high expectations but the burger was really dried but it was a chorizo burger and asked medium well and my son was medium but they were dry and it didnt help that the bread was pretty hard , they need to change the buns or just use fresh buns because stale buns tend to harden faster after getting warmed up . Some seasoning please and the elite for the wings was a miss . The wings themselves were good but that seasoning isnt it , once again I can tell it was old and the cheese they used was to generic for the loaded fries . I have taken some of our clients to the location in Alamo and to the one on Tenth St. in McAllen, I took my son on 3/5/2023 at 5:25 pm to share a burger and fries since we were not that hungry and their servings are usually pretty substantial, prior to ordering Daniel mentioned that the Combos would only come with Onion Strings because they had run out of fries which I found unsatisfactory as an excuse - you only have an HEB down the street, to me that just means you dont have employees taking ownership, they just dont care. I didnt want to go driving looking for another place so we settled for the Onion Strings. I had been in the sun all day and I chugged down my first glass of mixed sweet and unsweet Iced tea when I went to get a refill I informed the young girl -server that they had run out of sweet tea - her response was that nearing closing time they no longer put out any more tea which I found to be absurd- I am expecting the same type of service at opening time as well as closing time and I found this to be totally unacceptable and poor practice. I then mixed my own sweet tea and asked her for some lemon slices and her reply was We dont have any! All you need is one or two employees to cost you your business, I would really re-evaluate your true reasons for being in business and if customer service is not your first priority - you should just pack your bags and close it down and ride off into the sunset.. Another thing, I think it would be a good idea to offer your First Responders and Military a discount.

bad place to eat, they do not cook and treat food right, they put together hamburgers that they look as if they pull them out of the trash, and fries are extremly oily since they do not have the temp right, fries where limp and disgustingly cold. It was my wifes BDay and I wanted her to have a good time, her blue cheese burger had a smear that looked like BCheese but it was not. Bad all in all! Do not recomed, Good luck! I suppose is my fault and not tower burgers, since I have travled out of the RGV and I do not know any better...........

My first time there. I heard alot of great things about the Alamo location and we finally had chance to try. It did not disappoint. Burgers were fresh , flavorful. I cant wait to try out the different burgers. Their desserts look delicious, just didnt have room lol. Cashier was super friendly and helpful with menu and patient with us for taking our time. Definitely going back

Got here to pure attitude at the register. I asked for a specific burger w a veggie patty, I got something else which was also no longer hot nor warm. When I told the waitress the order was incorrect I got more attitude that I wasnt charged for the additional stuff so I had to make another 2.59 charge. My husband got a specific hot dog with kimchi and was advised after that they dont serve kimchi. Very disappointed. I was looking forward to eating here but normally go to the one in Alamo. Will not come to this one again.

No sense of customer service. Got there at with two people in the place. My buddy and I ordered the same thing. Five tables got there after us. They brought my buddy his plate and said mine was coming right up. They then served a table that got there after us. Then another table. We asked for my burger. The girl didn t apologize but said they messed us in the back and my order was coming. They then serve another table. Then two ladies walk in and order. They get served their food . So everyone is now served in the restaurant. I get up to cancel my order. All of a sudden it is ready. I had to get back to work. Word of advice. When you forget an order get it taken care IMMEDIATELY! Don t serve everyone else. The worse part is that I had talked up this place to my whole office. My buddy didn t want to go.

It would get a better rating from me if the service was better. The food is great, but they have only 1 person at the register who is ALSO the server & only 2 Cook in the back. 3 people running the place. If you dont mind waiting for your meal, give it a shot. If your in a rush during your lunch break, Id skip it.

This was our 1st visit to the N. 10th location after some 20+ visits to the original Alamo location. We were kind of disappointed with the servings of fries on both my wifes order and mine. The 1/2 lb burgers were fine and properly cooked, but the fries were greasy and salty. We tried to muster the willpower, but we couldnt finish the fries. We were used to getting crispy orders of fries in Alamo and unfortunately that was not the same yesterday. I do not believe that we will be returning to this location again, but we may return to Alamo at least one more time and see if it was just a one bad off visit....

No ice for drinks. Come on people a stripes is next door. We walked over there and bought a bag of ice which we shared with other patrons. Ordered a Chile dog. Waitress came to table and advised they were out of Chile. Substituted a slice of bacon. When order came it was cold! Would not recommend this restaurant.

I got a Holy Guacamole with some loaded fries with the combo, and I honestly wish I didn t. You could tell that they give their burgers attention, however the loaded fries are an abomination. The melted cheese was already stiffening when it got to my table and the fries are a rubbery, squishy mess. No crispness, no flavor other than the oil they were in a total mess. I understand their focus is burgers, but I mean this isn t okay. Fries are to burgers what peanut butter is to jelly. Perhaps in the future this won t be the case. Parking: Practically empty lot on a Monday.

Update: the last coupe of times (last time in September 2022 and about 1 month before this) the quality of the food has taken a hit. The burgers not as tasty and the service was a little slow. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty dry despite of the sauce. Meat was not as tender. When it happened the first time I didn t edit the review but now it happened again so I decided to give an update. I know after the pandemic many businesses are struggling with staff and supplies and I am hoping that is the reason for this change. Praying for all businesses. Both restaurants in Alamo and Mcallen have the same flavor. The food is delicious, fresh. Restaurant is clean and welcoming. Tower Burger in Mcallen is a bigger space than Alamo. We have tasted the pulled pork burger which comes with fried string onions, pickles, bbq sauce in the burger and a side choice of fries, loaded fries or more string onions. I tried the loaded fries for the first time and was not disappointed. Very good! Beef burgers are so juicy and delicious as well as their grilled chicken sandwich in Texas toast. Whether in Alamo or Mcallen , you have to stop by.

Food was horrible. They used spoiled food and stale hot Cheetos that tasted like they been out for over a week. Paid over $40 for two spoiled burgers and the most disgusting hotdog I ve ever had. They have little kids working here with no management or quality control. This place has been bad the last 2 years. Just go to the Food Trucks across the street.

Clean facilities, friendly staff, and great food! I ordered a Tower Burger, and it was awesome. Half-pound patty, cheese, a fried egg (because the runny yolk really adds some magic), LTP, and onion strings. The onion strings were delicious. The onion was sweet and the breading was light and tasty. The fries were perfectly cooked and salted. Give it try for a really good burger experience. Fair warning: this was a slippery burger. Recommend cutting this beast in half. Totally worth it though. :-)

Very rude staff. I was trying to call in an order an was told that I would have to pay over the phone. I said that i had no issue with that and the employee said he would put me on a brief hold. He never answered again. I hung up after 10 minutes and called again a few times but the line was still busy because they had put me on hold. Very, very rude.

I ordered a burger no bun, with no cheese, lots of jalapenos. It came with processed American cheese half the amount of jalapenos so I had to order & pay for more. My husbands burger bun was greasy on the bottom. No lids for the plastic cups so if you wanted to take the remainder of your drink you couldnt put a lid on the cup.

I absolutely love this place. Either location is awesome, but the McAllen location is closer to home for me. I love their fluffy buns, and dont get me started on the loaded fries. My date got the fried onion strings and we split them. Soooooo good! I have always had excellent food and service here. Oh, and the bacon is thick cut! Update! Just chose to celebrate my bday here! 53 is looking great, and so was my Sexy Mexi with loaded fries! Dang! Yummy!

This place was amazing. The patty had such a smokey flavor and seasoned perfectly; added grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, and avocado. The bun was soft inside and toasted on the outside. Loved the slight sweetness of it. We accompanied it with shoe string onion rings. They were so crispy and the flavor just burst in your mouth. Be prepared to come with an appetite. These burgers are not for anyone on a diet!!

A local favorite! For a couple of dollars more than a fast food place, Tower Burger offers quality, delicious, enormous burgers and heaping servings of fries! Dont know where to start? Order the regular Tower Burger and take it from there! Went here for lunch for the 1st time the other day with two others. Girl working the counter & delivering food was very nice, but was unfortunately the only one doing everything out front. It took 30 minutes for our table to get our 1st burger, 10 minutes later I was given my veggie burger, only to bite into it and find out it was NOT a veggie burger. After almost an hour we all finally had our food. Food was actually very good, but not somewhere Id go if I wanted a quick bite or if I wanted to eat with the people I came in with, since the cook was not preparing meals on the same ticket together. I was also very off put with the staff being unsure what burger theyre delivering to the table. As a vegetarian, I did not appreciate taking a bite of what was definitely meat.
