We had a great time from when we entered and were greeted by the host. We were sat right away and treated to one of the best upscale meals we have enjoyed in Rockwall Texas. The steak was cooked to perfection and was so delicious. The Crab Cakes were fantastic. The Risotto with mushrooms was the best side. The dessert of Chocolate Mousse was fantastic and made in house. If you have any special request or need something ask for Cody the Manager who will be there to get you what you need. We will be returning again and again. The 360 bar outside with Richard as the bartender was unbelievable. This place is definitely the Cheers of Rockwall. He remembers you and your drinks. Great place let the week fade away.

Let s start this off by saying, we sat at the bar. Wesley and Lauren are through the roof in their service. The drinks were tailored to guests by the aforementioned bartenders. The food is bananas, temps on proteins are perfect, apps are proportioned correctly, and the staff are as accommodating as you d expect from a fine dining southern establishment. Bar staff inquired on your preference on drink flavorings, and produced abundantly according to your taste. The tempo in which apps and mains were a little rushed but weighed on restaurant volume seemed adequate. As a patron who s frequented 11 Michelin starred restaurants, not saying that this should be one, the fact this establishment is empty on a Friday night is insane. Service remarkable, food impeccable, ambience noticeable, this should be the go to date night spot for locals and a destination for travelers. There is a breakdown in the marketing that it isn t there. I want to visit again in 2 years and see how the restaurant has grown. Here s hoping

Run, do not walk! This place was fantastic for a special occasion dinner! The service was 5-star! We ordered the oyster appetizer, with the venison & sea bass. Best oysters weve ever had! The food was excellent with Gordon Ramsay presentation. The non-dessert drinks were also great! (Old Fashioned & Blueberry Basil Lemonade) The dessert martinis were not worth it. They came in a black glass with badly chipped paint and no garnish, save your money there. Dessert was good! Creme Brule was very yummy! The bread pudding was weird and gummy. (We wont order that again.) $$$ night but worth it!

Chef Marcus is fantastic and creates masterpieces. However, on Mothers Day, a server spilled a Mimosa on my wife. There was no apology, and when I messaged the owner, I was called a liar because part of the complimentary beverage was still on the servers tray. Spent $300 for 4 people at brunch. I was offered a free appetizer as our apology on our next visit. Pure garbage and Pathetic. I hope Marcus finds a better place to share his tallents. Pathetic. Eat at your own risk. Service is hit or miss, though the food is good.

Went to Sear Steakhouse for my friends daughter s birthday. It was a party of 10 and we had our own dedicated waitress who was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and was welcoming to everyone as we slowly rolled in. The red and white wines were very good and priced reasonably. I enjoyed a medium rare 16oz steak which was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The steak was easy to cut and chew. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered and I didn t hear a single complaint.

My husband and I ate here tonight for my birthday. The service was excellent, the food was very tasty. We both ordered the filet mignon, mashed potatoes and lobster risotto for the sides. My husband ordered his steak medium rare but unfortunately it was overcooked to medium well and the risotto was undercooked. However, I don t feel it s fair for me to leave a negative review because of these mistakes, the manager came to us and made it right (I ve been to plenty of steakhouses and have had my fair share of overcooked food and most of the time feel like I did something wrong when asking for it the correct way.) This was not the case here, our server and the manager both made sure that it was corrected as quickly as possible and we were happy. Once he got his steak and our risotto back we very much enjoyed our meal. We have both worked in kitchens before so we know what it s like when you make a mistake so I ve gotta say, you give respect, you get respect. Exceptional service, delicious food and cozy ambiance! By the way, try the chimmichurri with your steak, it s delicious!

We were so excited to try this place out to celebrate a few things going on in our life, but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The ambiance was quite nice but we had several mistakes on what we ordered, the service was abysmal (we waited so long for everything) and the food was disappointing. I hardly ever make negative reviews but with the steep price tags that this establishment carries for their menu, we really expected a whole lot more. We are not a picky couple and generally never complain about dining experiences, but both of our meals were wrong (even when we told them politely that the meal was wrong, that didn t really remedy the situation), the risotto was over cooked and because of the slow service, we were mostly sitting without drinks or water. We recently moved to the area and hoped this could be our new spot for celebrating nice moments but we will probably never be back after tonight s dinner. I give some grace that it s the Friday of Valentine s Day but again, with how much the check is, we expect to at least have drinks flowing and the food to be how we ordered.

Had a fancy dinner tonight and it was out first visit here(and last). It was a cool atmosphere that left a lot to be desired for. Staff/server s were exceptional Drinks were great. I had the Maple Brown Sugar Old Fashion and the wife had French Blackberry Cobbler. Pre appetizer bread was meh Bacon Wrapped Quail Appetizer was phenomenal! Dinner sides were great as well. We had Potatoes au Gratin and Lobster Risotto Dinner choice was down right terrible! We both chose the Delmonico Steak. We thought you couldn t go wrong with a good steak, but we were so wrong! The steak had no flavor and was tough, almost like it was the lowest grade quality of steak available. I ve had better from Chili s, and I m sure you have too! We were not once asked how the food was nor were we approached by management. For a $320 meal, it left a lot to be desired. The anticipation of a good quality melt in your mouth steak fell short, way short! Like it must have fell into the lake when nobody was looking! In conclusion, if you re going for drinks/appetizers/fellowship it s a great place, hands down! If you re going for dinner, go next door!

We had a reservation through Open Door for dinner last evening. When we arrived, our reservation could not be located. I offered to show the maitre de our reservation. However, he said he would seat us, but rather than seat us in the dining room, maitre de seated us in the lounge. Live entertainment was too loud to enjoy dinner and it was cold in that area. As we were leaving, we noticed the main dining room appeared to be empty. We should have complained in the beginning. My wine was a very acidic Malbec, not good though price was reasonable and the pour more than ample. Our server was attentive. We will probably not return to this restaurant for dinner.

I can only speak to the service of Sear Steakhouse for this review. My husband and I arrived for a 7:00 rez on a Tuesday evening to enjoy a celebratory anniversary dinner for two. Long story short, we waited 10 mins for service before asking if we had a server. We were told of course! But another 10 mins went by and no one asked us about drinks, food, the weather, not a damn thing. We watched 4-5 staff members tend to 2 other tables in our same section. There were a total of 3 tables seated, including ours, that I could see. Not a busy night. But no one paid us any mind. As we got up to leave, someone finally came over and asked if he could get us anything. But it had been 20 minutes by then, we were done. A few offered apologies as we left. Pretty disappointing, but the evening was SAVED by Yuzu, a new Japanese steak and sushi restaurant next door. Impeccable service and incredible food!

My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. We sat at the table with water and bread for 15-20 minutes and no service as employees and a manager walked by over and over. It was like we didnt exist. Then after hailing a waiter to ask if we can be served, the server that was sent over walked up and just said I guess youre ready? No mention of specials. We ordered the tomahawk steak. At $150, you would think it would be incredible. It was ok, nothing to call home about DEFINITELY not worth the price, its comparable to an outback steak. The $8 double baked potatoes were not good at all. The manager never once came over to check on us... Not. One. Time. Mind you we sat without service for nearly 20 min and we were spending hundreds of dollars, I think a stop by the table was warranted. If for nothing else, just to apologize. The tables have cheap cardboard tents that are simply tacky. When you go out to a restaurant with such upscale prices, you expect a certain level of quality and service. We dont go out to these places often, but anniversaries are special, So we decided to splurge. Unfortunately, the only thing I enjoyed was my company and the beer. They need a management overhaul.

I would say this place is a bit overconfident. At the prices they charge there is a certain level of service and quality one would expect and they just dont make the cut. My wife and I went for our anniversary. After the hostess forgot to tell anyone she seated us, we waited at our table for at least 15-20 minutes with just our water without a single member of staff (including the manger) even acknowledging we were there. Once the waiter made it to our table we were greeted with I guess youre ready. No mention of specials which as it turned out I would have wanted. We ordered their most expensive steak which was mediocre at best and Im pretty sure not the size that was advertised on the menu. We had their twice baked potatoes which were underwhelming for how easy of a side that is. The atmosphere is unremarkable with cheap cardboard signage on the tables as if your were at Chilis. I have been to quite a few nicer establishments around the country and this place doesnt even rank. $250 later we left hungry and disappointed. The shortcomings at every level of service in this restaurant could only indicate complete management failure.

The food has absolutely no taste nor seasoning and the portion size was like a kids plate.. The crab cakes looked like 2 scallops that s how small they were. The service was extremely slow I know we waited 45-50 minutes for our food. The live music was okay but could barely hear- the mic seemed muffled. The lemon drop Martin was sour. Finding this restaurant was very challenging. The location directories we found did not list it, but did show some that are out of business. Google Maps seemed to change the layout each time we brought it up. Once we did find a sign for Sear, it did not indicate where the door was since it was over the entrance of a different establishment. We did eventually find the front door for Sear and got to our meeting on time. The food was above average and the service was prompt and courteous. We likely will not try Sear again since it is too expensive for our budget. Parking: The layout of the harbor area in Rockwall is confusing for first time customers. The parking area is completely separate from the shop buildings. You have to find a parking space and then walk around across the street to try to find your establishment. There are directories that list some of the businesses, but they just show a limited set and are not very clear.

Went for a free insurance presentation meal. Listen to Medicare schpeel and get a free meal. Service was adequate for the party of about 25-30 OLD peeps. Liqour / drinks a little on the high side...yes they are in the Harbour in Rockwall, but its still ROCKWALL. Yes it kinda has a few tables that you can see Ray Hubbard Lake, but it is still ROCKWALL. Our menu/options was already decided...so we could not order off menu. If we would have had to order the least expensive was a chicken breast for $28....the SIDES....all $7-$9 additional. Salad $7 additional. So for a chicken breast, 1 side, a salad and a drink...you are looking at over $50 / person. Most steaks started between $40 and $50. Add the $24 for 1 side, a salad and 1 drink.....you are about $70 / person before tax and gratuity.....for a place you might see Lake Ray Hubbard or the I-30 bridge....in ROCKWALL. Service was fine, food was fine, but IF I would have had to pay for it....forget it. Price to value way negative even for the Harbour in Rockwall.

The oyster appetizer was good but they didn t sever the muscle from the shell. Put sauce on and tilted to enjoy and only sauce came out. Our waiter was very good but other staff seemed uncomfortable with their job. From the time we were seated until we received the first drink we ordered was 35 min. For the prices they charge, this place falls short in so many ways. If youre gonna spend this kind of money, dallas has so many better options. Wont be back here

The restaurant was amazing. Ambience was great, location is really good, with views toward the Ray Hubbard lake. We reached at sunset and it was beautiful. People at this restaurant were nice and the food was delicious. Recommend this place for anyone who wants a great steak experience. Most of the time, it is difficult to get a party of 10+ on a weekend to get reservation for any steakhouse in Dallas. But Sear has a lot of room and had wonderful people who got us a table near the window facing the sunset They validate parking also

We needed a nicer steakhouse here in Rockwall and we got one now. Great spot, Ive been hoping someone would get this unit back open, it has been vacant for a while. The outside bar is awesome, they have drinks and a limited food menu with a great patio experience overlooking the water that will have a dj or music. The restaurant is a great finish out. Wonderful views of the lake from your table. Its a nicer ambiance inside, expect nicer clothing but doesnt seem like its required. I would come dressed nicer. The Delmanico steak is their signature, I highly recommend it. Wife loved the scallops. We will definitely be back! Keep it up guys! Parking: If you come during busy times parking can be limited in main parking lot. Look to park in the 2 story garage to the right of Cinemark or overflow lots. The restaurant is close to the Cinemark so not a far walk

Love this new addition to Rockwall dining. Ive been here a few times and everything from their burger to the steak have been great. I also enjoy their quail appetizer. Im not a seafood person, but there are quite a few seafood options that seem to be enjoyed by others. They have several signature drinks and their Bar 360 overlooks the lake for drinks and a bar type menu. The bar area inside the restaurant has always had live music. Restrooms are cute and clean. Very nice ambience for a romantic dinner in the dining room.

This restaurant seems to be struggling we ordered the Sears Burger with a baked potato no sour cream they had no complimentary bread for the table they charge for cake if you bring it in are if they provide it they nickel and dime you to death. James the waiter was the best part of the experience. I hope they make it. Definitely wouldnt take children there especially Teenagers they will not get full are you will go broke trying to make sure they got enough to eat. I wont be eating there again to pricey for the food advertised on the menu.

Amazing! My husband and I had anniversary dinner here. When we gave them the name on the reservation, the hostesses gave us an immediate happy anniversary -- same thing with our waitress. We ate some of the best steaks weve ever had, and then at the end of dinner, they made it even more special by writing happy anniversary on our creme brulee plate. Our waitress, Selena, was so attentive and pleasant. We will be going back soon!

Best steak in Texas. Carrot cake was beyond magical. We were lucky enough to have Brandon make dinner an event. He was so proud and excited to share the menu, he encouraged us to try things I would have never ordered and he was right. The chef here is a genius to share the dishes and the back story with his staff. Brandons excitement and love for the menu was intoxicating. I cant wait to come back and see whats next. I volunteer to be a taster. Ask for Brandon, he is a remarkable foodie

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. This is a beautiful, cozy, romantic place with a twist. The twist is the nice lounge side with live music opposite of the main dining area. It was like being in two place at one time. Fine dining with a nice drinking area. My t-bone lamb chops were amazing paired with my twice baked potatoes and grilled asparagus. I nibbled on my husbands double cut pork chops and grilled vegetables and his food was just as wonderful as mine. However, the apple crisp came in a skillet but it was not hot. The filling was watery and the crumbles tasted like flour flakes. Nevertheless, the food and atmosphere were outstanding. Our server, Casey, was very attentive and accommodating even when she had to move us to the other side of the restaurant to the lounge area for the live music. She served us in the lounge and her other tables in the main dining area and never missed a beat. This place was definitely worth us fighting through the thunderstorm and tornado watch. We most definitely will return. PS if you are coming for the live music specify that when making your reservations because the live music is on the lounge side. You can have a great dining experience on either side.

Delicious food. I d recommend their signature steak. Sides can be lack luster overall but the baked potato and Mac and cheese were the best. Seasonal veggies were decent but nothing memorable. Went in on a Wednesday and they have specials for bottles of wine over 75, which was perfect for our party of four. Our server was a young woman who said she had just moved to the area from California. I don t remember her name but she was very kind and attentive! Would recommend as there aren t many places in Rockwall offering a decent steak!

Great romantic, cozy atmosphere. Had been looking for a good streak house nearby and this was a great choice. Recommend making a reservation on line. We got a great table very cozy and romantic. Felt like they had been waiting for us which was very much appreciated. The food was excellent we started of with the crab cakes which did not disappoint. Others we have tried are doctored up so much you can barely taste the crab. This were light and full of flavor. We then split a wedge salad and the blue cheese and bacon were delicious. Another great choice. We each got a filet mignon and the meat was tender and soft and definitely did not disappoint. I recommend the chimichurri sauce to go with the meat which was just right. Other sauces we ve tried are overwhelming with garlic but this one was just perfect. We also tried the horseradish sauce but honestly tasted like fluffy butter and didn t taste any of the horseradish in it. We also tried the mushrooms and the macaroni & cheese. Both of those sides where mediocre at best. Not much flavor in either one. Hubby said the mac & cheese from a box is better. And the mushrooms were nothing to rave about. We ended up getting the apple crostini for dessert and it was to die for. I LOVED it. Wasn t too sweet like some desserts can be. It was delicious. All in all definitely will go again. Can be pricey we spent over $250 with tip and only got two drinks. But will try different side dishes next time.

I was very curious about this restaurant, what I can say is that it is Phenomenal from start to finish. I am still daydreaming about some of the dishes we had. The restaurant is cozy, elegant and romantic, definitely one of the most spectacular views in Dallas, it was worth the drive from Frisco. I opened with Crab Cakes, but what definitely caught my eye was the Prime Bone in Ribeye, it s delicious. Perfect for a sunset date, or just to treat yourself with a delightful dinner! Impeccable service and splendid selection of wine!
