Some of the most expensive Mexican food around with some of the smallest portions. I ordered the street tacos (only comes with 2) which had MAYBE 2OZ of brisket in each taco, some of the skimpiest tacos I ve had in a while for $17. Served with enough beans that would leave a 4 year old hungry along with a decent portion of rice. It s a cool restaurant with a good vibe but the food is way over priced and the drinks aren t far behind.

Lots of fun Mexican-inspired bar and restaurant. The main attraction is the atmosphere. My company used the upstairs room for a party and it was highly successful. We had 200+ people and everyone was comfortable.

Eleven of us got here at 7:30 on a Wednesday evening, and the parking lot was packed! But when we went inside, there hardly seemed to be anyone there. So Im not sure what that was about. But we thought it would be an easy-in, easy-out experience. Our waitress was very friendly and kind, but for some reason that I cannot understand, we didnt get our food until around 8:45. The beef fajitas were really good, the chicken less flavorful. Most everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their dinner. But the wait was excessive for such a light crowd. Yes, we were a big group, but definitely the only table in our section. And really, most everyone else seemed to be at the bar. They claim to be the spot where the locals go. Im a new local, but Im not sure if I will be visiting here very frequently. Edit: after reading some reviews, I wonder about the differences in service. So many people felt like this is the best Tex Mex restaurant around. Nothing but good things to say about the food and the service. However, some people felt like they were being overlooked while others around them were served quickly. And others felt like staff treated them rudely. I wonder if there is a vibe they are going for, and we maybe didnt meet the vibe check.

I rated this a 5 because of the food and atmosphere the service was very,very,very,very, slow the waiter (JP) however really overwhelmed and I blame that on management for not having enough waitstaff JP had a table of what appeared to be 20 people plus another 5 or 6 tables to take care of as well...his attitude was great and he was very helpful and attentive as he could be I would definitely go back again because the food and drinks were very, very good and I would ask to be seated at one of JPs table as well...but I will say that once again management needs to do a better job of having enough waitstaff on duty especially on the weekend. My wife and I have eaten here before and was not impressed by high prices and typical mexican food. My wife met friends tonight and brought me the basics of mexican food, quesadillas. She bragged about the beef she had. I was not impressed, she tasted it and said it was not what she got in restaurant. Hope this is not your standard of take out.

Three different beef taco orders, all legit Tex-Mex style. Salsa amazing. Will definitely return if in the area. Service (drinks) were a bit slow but it was a Friday at 5:30pm...not a huge deal. We had a nice meal. Spacious place, glad its there! Tip: they need to print a list of all available Tequilas....they did not have a list/menu when I was there, but they do have a nice Tequila selection if you ask your server.

The hostess sat us in a wobbly table in a location with a large party with children that were very loud. When I asked hostess if he sat us here because of our age he shocked his head yes and continued to insult us more. It s pretty easy how to react to this, tell everyone you come in contact with and just never return.

We paid $3 extra dollars for onion rings and I kid you not, they gave us 3 onion rings. They gave my mother in law 4, and my father in law 5. That was $1 per onion ring. Thankfully, I asked/pointed out the lack of onion rings and they brought more. Apparently their onion ring stinginess is well-known among the customers. If you order onion rings, expect to have to ask for more.

The food here is horrible to say the least. From appetizers to entrees the only thing that was decent was the soda. Queso (yellow) was salty and gritty like grits. We had carne asade tacos again salty so bad we sent them back and still the same result. We also ordered beef tacos and they brought out chicken. Our server was kind but had way too many tables including a 14 top and 4 other tables. We waited for drinks and food because of this. The managers the African American and other guy running the host stand didn t support their staff. Both refused to help run food, get bar drinks, or help struggling servers who had too many tables. They instead hugged every woman in the bar and talked to them or their husbands for the entire 1 hour 45 mins I was there. No attention to detail about any part of their restaurant. No wonder there was no quality control of what was leaving their kitchen. I will not be returning to this restaurant by choice. If they don t change their business model they will continue to decline in standards.

My carne guisada was excellent! However, my wife s enchiladas didn t arrive until she reminded the server twice and the other six people in our party had finished eating plus 15 minutes. They actually charged us for her meal without apology. I gave them feedback through the OpenTable reservation system, but didn t hear back. I figured if they were asking for feedback they might respond. It s very loud in there and hard to hear the server and other people in your party.

1st impression walking in was great; but that quickly changed. We are newly arriving to Mansfield last night and looking for something opened late since we had just gotten RV set up by 9:30 pm. Date night sorta evening and wanted to go for dinner/drinks . Upon arrival loved the place. One of the bartenders treated and asked us if wanted to sit in bar. Other tables still there and eating. Ordered and then came to let us know kitchen closed and they wouldn t prepare meal. Opened till 11 but kitchen don t cook after 10 pm. No one had informed us till that moment and very disappointed. Asked if they had Bud-light lime and informed yes. I was served a bud-light w/ a lime. Not sure if this Bartender was new or just end of shift . Very disappointing and my reasoning behind my scores.

Large restaurant that s good for bigger parties. There s a covered patio area with live music sometimes as well as an upstairs dining area. We visited on a Friday evening and there was free valet offered as well as a bounce house in front of the restaurant. The food was good, though I think service on the second floor differs a little from the first level dining as we were given plastic cups with water and our tortilla chips were in small paper food service trays.

Welp..This was not the resturant for me..The hostess start it off with a less than professional demeanor..The server was the best thing about the resturant but played bait games by recommend the most expensive plate on the menu..The food was terrible, small portions, overly salted, and just did not taste pleasing to the palette..One of the bartenders tried to intimidate me with a stare down, grown up champ..Life is not that serious and whatever aggression concerns you have handle them before clicking in on someones clock.. lets play fair, I just want to get a bite to eat and was trying to intimidate or provoke..I just did not feel safe after that interaction..I will not return..the food was overly salted and the sweet drink were too sweet..You go here for diabetes and high blood pressure..Avoid at all cost...Worst money I ever spent..

I tried this restaurant out for the first time with my fiancé and his family. We walked in and it immediately smelt like a sewer. We sat down ordered drinks and the white queso. The chips themselves were super stale and the chicharrones were hard as a rock. We couldn t even eat them. My fiancé and I shared a plate of the tacos al carbon. When the food came out it was a tiny plate of 2 street tacos with rice and beans. We ordered double rice and no beans but we didn t say anything because we just wanted to get the experience over with. Our waiter was okay. He wasn t very friendly and seemed like he hated being there. When we ordered or tried getting more of something he gave off the impression that we were an inconvenience. I will never be going back there.

Ok, so did not start well because we waited for 15 minutes for a waiter to come over after we asked the manager for our waiter . But, the chips and salsa , and the food made up for it. Tacos were on point and the shrimp & lobster enchiladas was a home run and pozole verde was awesome. Leo the manager was very hospitable and apologetic for the wait. Waiter was ok that s why the 4 star. My wife and I had a very surprising meal and the bus girl that my wife conversed with was nice and pleasant, better than the waiter we had. Been a Mansfield resident for the last 16 years and had visited this place once before and did not make an impression. BUT THIS TIME THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT, WOW! El Primos Mexican Grill is located off Matlock Road in Heritage Plaza, serving classic Mexican meals and margaritas in a beautiful modern setting. We came by to dine in on a weekday afternoon, and were seated right away from the lovely hostess. Inside is very spacious with plenty of chairs and tables in a dimmed environment with blue LED lights surrounding this fine establishment. There is a bar inside with multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, playing local sports and news. There is also a patio dining area with garage style doors that open during the cooler months in Texas. Our waiter handed us the menus and gave us ample time to browse through the drink and food menus before he came back to take our order. For the drinks, we went ahead and placed an order for the berry margaritas and blue margaritas. We went ahead and ordered the fish tacos and had them grilled. For the kids, we ordered the queso macaroni penny pasta, which came with potato wedges and a small serving on banana pudding. Last but not least, for the main entrees, we went with the prime steak beef fajitas for 2. Chips and salsa were also served to us as a complimentary dish, and the salsa was indeed very herbal and tasty! Our food came out within 15 minutes, looking stunning as ever, and I was ready to dig in. The fish tacos came with 2 tacos in a flour tortilla and Spanish rice with black beans. They tasted fantastic as the fish was well seasoned and grilled. They were garnished with a cabbage slaw and a special sauce. The steak fajitas were looking exquisite and smelt phenomenal! They came perfectly cut into strips with 2 pieces of corn on the cob and a redskin potato. They were garnished with green vibrant chopped cilantro laying beneath a bed of thinly sliced caramelized onions and red and green bell peppers soaking in the beef drippings making it flavorful than ever! Along with the beef fajitas came sides of freshly made guacamole and Pico along with cheddar and mozzarella cheese and sour cream. Beneath the sizzling dish of fajitas were soft and warm flour tortillas waiting for you to stuff and dress them properly so you can eventually devour them. The customer service provided was second to none, and our waiter provided top-notch service to us and was eager to serve us in every way he possibly could. They have happy hour specials on select drinks and food throughout the week, and the margaritas are as good than ever. They definitely didnt skimp out on the tequila, and the drinks came packing with a flavorful punch! Im looking forward to coming back and trying something different from the menu and maybe catching one of their happy hour specials they have.

The food is great as well as the atmosphere, if you choose to dine in. However, the take out experience varies depending on the day of the week and manager on duty. There is a disconnect between the online app and the cook(s). They do not seem to follow the instructions you select when building your order unless you specifically write in the notes section. Even when dining in, they still made the same mistake. Although the managers on duty made it right, they still continue to make the same mistake. This past Wed (6/19), we placed an order online and it was full of mistakes. When I went in to pick up my order, the waiter basically told me to grab my order from the to go and bag it up myself. While in the car i noticed the order was wrong, so I called the manager on duty. She basically said it was our fault for not checking before I left. When I asked her who checks the orders before they leave the kitchen, she took our number then said she would check and call us back. Needless to say, there was no call back. Again, overall, the food is great and the service has been ok, with the exception of 6/19, or else my rating would be lower.

We came here as date night to try out a new place since we just moved into the area. We just went for drinks since we read really good reviews on them. We ordered the Elote Mac and cheese with steak and it was B O M B! Im really picky with Mac and cheese and this was definitely delicious and worth a try. I ordered the pineapple margarita and it was good I got another round. For dessert we tried the sopapilla and husband approved lol, hes picky with his dessert so this is definitely recommended. At first sight I thought this was a Mexican joint, but walking in Im not so sure. However it was a fairly quiet visit I did enjoy. My waitress Lily was very attentive the entire visit fulfilling what little needs I had. I had the Hayward tacos, very good. I went here with my family as my usual place was closed on Monday. We have been here many times before and the food is always spectacular for quality and presentation and taste. Wrong with anything you order or drink. As far as the atmosphere, it is pretty packed on the weekends and a whole lot lighter during a Monday. Also the service is OK. You can tell a lot of the servers either are inexperienced or are on the newer side, but they mean well and are courteous. My one beef with this place now is that I know that inflation has taken a hold of a lot of things but Dollar for Dollar. I feel that the prices here have jumped significantly in the last couple years compared to other locations in the area and the food is excellent, but not sure if it s worth the price that it s being sold for.

Where do we begin? The chips were stale and were mostly broken. The hot sauce had little flavor. The traditional queso with chorizo lacked chorizo, not bad but not good either. I ordered the carne guisada, which tasted more like a sauce used from a can. I would not call this authentic at all. Its a shame since we spent 100.00 not to get full. We will not be back and wouldnt recommend it to my friends to go there either.

The absolute worst food. The margerita was nasty, I took 2 sips and sent it back. If I wanted bagged chips and canned queso, I wouldve gone to the store. The chili rellino pepper was not cooked. I must start by saying the inside looked awesome for a family night and service was good, however the food I tried was cooked perfectly but was seriously lacking flavor! Fresh food, great service. Came after church. Busy but no wait. Food was very good, on the slightly pricier side but not too bad really. Chips came with the most delicious green salsa I ve ever had. I think it had pineapple in it. I wanted to take it home! Sampler appetizer was tasty but $40 was a bit much. All of the adults and kids enjoyed their entrees and dessert. Prices and food quality are about the same as Uncle Julio s but with 10x better service. Plus they have a bounce house and kids play area. Nice place to eat, drink and relax with the family.

Great experience! We went on a Wednesday night and they had karaoke going. Food was all delicious. They had some unique menu items such as the elote mac and cheese with steak which was amazing. I also enjoyed their jalapeño margarita. You get a shaker to refill your margarita glass with and they are strong.

If you want to have a quality experience and not hear anything from the people you are eating with then this is the place for you. Every time I come here it s just overly loud like they are constantly having a party. If that s your cup of tea then it s a great place. The food is great and the staff is great but the simple fact that I can t hear my waiter or my own wife without yelling is mind blowing. Also, be aware that this Mexican restaurant requires that you request chips and salsa. When you request it, it will come out literally the same time of your order, almost always. Was really excited to try this place out. We were greeted very respectfully & nice. The atmosphere is really beautiful but the wait time is terrible! Weve been waiting 30 mins & all Weve received is chips & drinks. The waitress kept assuring us shed be with us shortly, but never came to take our order. This is by far the worst restaurant Ive been to. Service is a joke. Its run by teenagers that dont care with managers that care even less. No organization, no streamlined service, theyre running around like headless chickens trying to seat parties with clearly empty tables. Its not just me or something wrong with the day either: I had a friend that was hired here as a line cook, but apparently their management completely forgot they hired someone new, didnt get them in the system at all. Was promised to be placed in the system the next day but never got any further communication and ended up getting a free day of labor out of them, if this is any help to knowing what the people running this sham of a restaurant is like. Oh, and no they never fixed this. Didnt even give a paycheck for the one day. My friend was so irritated they didnt come back, tried to call for at least one day of wages, but considering the restaurant didnt care or ever reply? Incompetent is an understatement. Food is so subpar, even for Tex Mex, its terribly flavorless and not fresh. Cheese is gooey and not in the good way. The drinks are okay and the restaurant is well decorated enough with a nice atmosphere, but Im gonna be honest with you, the only reason this place has the business it does is its the closest thing Mansfield locals have to a bar. Pathetic!

We are regulars here and love it, but last night for Valentine s Day was exceptional! Great food and usual great service with extra touches for atmosphere and dessert options. Tony prepared a fabulous table-side flambé presentation Coffee El Diablo that was entertaining and delicious. Parking: Parking can be tough but usually offer free valet parking. Kid-friendliness: They have an arcade and bounce house for the kids.

Came to try this place out for the first time with some friends. First impressions the place is nice and energy is good. The food and service was lacking unfortunately. The margarita flight was not impressive, we weren t sure which one to order so we went with the flight to try them out. Only one kind was decent the others were not. The food is not worth the portion you receive. Nachos half order is only 4, rice was clumpy. One of our food orders was put in wrong by the server and had to wait a long time for it come out. First and last time to come. Was expecting an amazing experience.

5 years ago I gave this place 5 stars. After tonight I give it 1 and we wont be returning. We had to ask for water 4 times. My sons chicken tenders came out 30 minutes after our food. I got charged 25 dollars for a margarita with mezcal instead of 1 dollar more like the menu states. And everything else just wasnt as good as it used to be. Maybe it was a rough night even though it was only 4pm and not busy, or maybe our server Veronica was new. But it was terrible and I hate to say that because we used to love coming here....

Still a great place even though they are post COVID expensive. Standard meal here is 16+ and cheapest drink starts off at $14. HH is 2-6 every day. Came for Sunday brunch. They are almost back to usual. Breakfast and lunch items and its back inside. Fruit was cut up and the omelette station is back. The mimosa and bloody Mary now cost $5.95, used to be $3. Kids buffet $7.95, adults $16.95. They do still have a veterans discount. Waitress was attentive even though we got the buffet.

The food is amazing. The service is terrific and I love the way everything looks is awesome. I love the atmospheric with the blue lights and Ill eat here most Sundays for lunch when Im not caught up doing something else. The people are incredible and the managers make sure all your needs are met and expectations surpassed. Ben and Tony are great managers they have that place running in tip top shape.
