Great food at a really good price with friendly service. I walked to this restaurant from my hotel and ordered a junior burger and fries. I carried it back to the hotel and attempted to devour this mountain of a burger. It had 3 patties, bacon, and two types of cheese! The beef patties were juicy and so flavourful. The hand cut fries while cooked thoroughly, and had decent flavor but werent crispy. I shared my experience with my coworkers, and we returned a couple of days later. The second time, I ordered the steak and chorizo tacos with a side of charro beans. The tacos were so cheesy and delicious! The charro beans were AMAZING! They were so good that I would have loved to have had even more of them. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor entrance with no step.

Went to the downtown location. Had seen some videos on social media and it looked good so I decided to check it out. I was extremely disappointed. We went on a Saturday and at the time we went it wasn t that packed so we we sat down I expected it would be a timely experience. I was wrong. With not that many people there it took forever for them to get our order, forever to get our food. On top of that the guy who took our order first greeted us by telling us what they didn t have or ran out of. Which was a lot. So we ordered what they did have. I ordered a blue cheese burger and my gf ordered the pastor tacos. Shortly after we ordered he came back and told my gf they were out of charro beans as her side so we had to change her order. The food took forever to come out. I was hungry which made it worse. I figured the food would be worth the wait. I was also wrong. The burger was mediocre. And I love burgers so I m very easily to please. My gfs pastor tacos were very seasoned to the point where it tasted too salty. And the macaroni salad was absolutley horrible. No seasoning whatsoever, very bland AND it had lettuce in it. I ve never seen lettuce in macaroni salad before and for good reason. The lettuce was wilted. Not a good experience at all. Paid 34 dollars for a burger, tacos and 2 cokes. I feel cheated.

Chelitos is actually at 115 N Mesa St. as per Google, Facebook had a different address. Anyways...poor management by the owner, this restaurant was out of a lot of things like flautas, shrimp cocktails, several Mexican beers, their cucumber lemonade as well as their Margaritas to name just a few. We kept being told we are out of this and that. I wanted to leave but the gf was hungry, so we stayed (whos the boss?). I had the Blue Cheeseburger that comes with two 4 oz patties, Provolone cheese, long green chile and Blue Cheese. It was very tasty. The fries were also very good but I couldnt finish them because the burger was so filling. The gf had the Pastor tacos, charro beans and macaroni salad. She loved the charro beans, the taco were okay but she ate them all, hmm. She took one spoonful of the macaroni salad and said nope. And as you can see we shared a caguama of Pacifico beer The waiter was a very courteous and friendly guy, but we dont intend on going back.

The food was good. A little above fast food quality, but the place smelled like a wet fart, so we ate outside. The bathroom toilet seat was broken, so I hope you dont have to drop a deuce or youre going to be working on your balancing skills, while trying to drop the kids off at the pool. I had the special burger with bacon, turkey sausage, and ham. It was filling and I didnt feel ripped off. We were disappointed they were out of steak nachos, but the pork nachos were good. They had the nice crippling tortilla chips that didnt get super soggy. Overall, this is a good place to stop if youre on a budget and looking for filling food, but eat outside unless you like the smell of farts.

Chelitos was recommended to me by a local and it did not disappoint. Its a quaint little corner spot with a small dine-in area with around 30 capacity. Service is friendly and adequate, and by that I mean its like any other small diner type atmosphere no hurry, no pressure. The menu isnt vast or overwhelming but, all your favorites are there and made to order. Prices are on the low to low medium side however food is certainly delicious and probably a much larger portion than youll be able to eat in one sitting. Its not elegant fine dining, but it is great comfort food perfect for next day hangovers.

My co-worker and I came for lunch. Arrived at 12:00 p.m. and we did not get served until 12:53 p.m. We were able to tolerate the 1 hour delay in them serving us, had the food been good. The meat was not fresh, it tasted old as if it had been packaged for a while. I complained to the waitress. She called the manager named Edgar. All Edgar told her to do was to subtract a drink. I refused to pay until the cashier explained that if I did not pay my fee would be deducted from the waitress s pay. I paid $28.68 for this not to happen and had them remake our food. This interaction was very poorly handled. The manager was not present and the staff seemed very uneducated on how to handle this situation. Zero empathy and customer service. I would give this place zero stars.

We ordered the nachos, tacos, burger, quesadilla, charro beans, and macaroni salad, and all were good. My favorite was the charro beans. The only complaint I had was that the nachos had what tasted like canned concession stand cheese on them. The lady working was super friendly and helpful, they had some music playing and the restaurant was clean and bright. I would stop by again if in town.

Came based on the high reviews. Sad to say, we were disappointed. Food took too long, half arrived and ten more minutes the other half and after all that waiting, it was meh . So many stars from so many . Maybe it was just a bad day, for reference it was a Saturday. Waitress was really nice .

While visiting El Paso and staying downtown, we decided to eat at Chelito s. First and foremost, Edith was our server and she was amazing! The menu is limited, but everything on there is good. We had some flautas and quesadillas that were mouthwatering. The green and red salsas were so flavorful the red brought the heat but it was addicting! Finally, we paired our food with a Mexican Coke. Overall it was such a great experience. We re hoping to come back and try the burgers which looked amazing too!

Edith was great. She welcomed us, served us, always made sure we are happy with our food and drinks. She was the only server and cashier, but she was so efficient at her job and paid attention to every customer that walked in. She s the type of person every place should have. Also, the food was AMAZING! 5 stars! Oh, and try their salsa with anything you order from here. ;)

This place needs to hire more people or something because the service is sooo slow only one waitress working register and serving tables and one cook making food for the 10 people in the restaurant probably more since they offer doordash and grubhub, and they took about 45 minutes just for two $20 burgers. My boyfriend and I ordered two sodas and they got flat way too quickly its like they were sitting unopened for a bit but thats just the soda. When we decided wed want to leave instead the waitress suggested taking our items to go for 2 more minutes but instead that was just an extra 5 minutes. My bf and I got our burgers in 2 paper bags and it was just soaked with the grease they need to invest in some to go containers for these burgers. Save your time and choose someplace else.

This place has some of the most delicious, authentic Mexican food in all of downtown. Edith in specific, helped me get my order Just right For my family and I after a stressful event at the plaza, will definitely be choosing this place as my dining service for all my future downtown ventures.
