The service was exceptional and the atmosphere good. It s a nice place for Lubbock. Now having said that the reason I gave the food 3 stars is because I m comparing the food to other high quality restaurants in other major cities. I know that may not seem fair but that s how I can rate. I m not saying that it s bad because it s not but it won t make you say it s worth the price of admission. The dessert was amazing and of course the wine that our waiter selected was great!!!!

I guess this is a pretty fancy place for Lubbock. I m glad we had reservations. Crazy, unorganized wine list I get it, west Texas emphasis but all the other varietals made no sense in the menu. The steaks were tender and cooked properly, just a tad over seasoned .hope you like jalapeño everything. I think there weren t enough wait staff to handle the dinner crowd at mid-week move in, but it s a lovely place. Probably will come again at a less crazy time. For the price point, I feel the management should never assume that meal service is going well

My girlfriend and I visited on Sunday night after hearing great reviews from multiple people. Ultimately, I was let down for the $150 price. From the start- the atmosphere of the restaurant has a hotel dining atmosphere. Nothing intimate, no art that makes me excited for the meal I m about to have. Especially if the name is Las Brisas or if the restaurant is in cattle country - either lend itself to beautiful artwork. Neither southwestern art or ranching art were to be seen. The art on the wall looked like hotel art. Edited to add: Apparently there is no dress code? Kids were wearing shorts and baseball hats. A woman was wearing a band t-shirt. Furthering the hotel dining experience, rather than an upscale dining experience. Food: The bread that was served was good, not great. (Bread is something simple that can be made into something memorable, but in my opinion, Las Brisas missed the mark.) My girlfriend had the raspberry chipotle filet, which was good. I had the 16 ounce ribeye, which came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. But that was the extent of the good. The seasoning was salt and pepper- well over seasoned. The asparagus had no color and flavor, it seemed like it had been boiled in water with no seasoning- very boring and drab. The mashed potatoes were similar to something one would eat at a chain, an everyday steakhouse (Texas Roadhouse). I had a Malbec that the waiter recommended (I m not sure the name) that was good. I just wish the food was better to go with the good wine. While I do not mind paying more for a good dinner, I do not think our experience was worth the final bill of $150.

My server, Ryann was incredible and made me feel welcomed! Portion was more than enough, didn t have room for desert. Had the lobster bisque, was a little on the spicy side. Overall, great food & ambience. On the pricey side, but worth the quality.

Las Brisas is phenomenally good! My husband and I travel often and eat at steak houses all over the world but so far no other American steak cuisine has compared to this place. It has literally set the bar for us with many restaurants in Las Vegas, California, Texas and many other overseas establishments failing in comparison, especially for beef selection, cook and taste. Sides are fabulous too get the Lobster Mac! Though the steak entrees are perfect, I actually can t stop ordering the Chilean Sea Bass. It s too good! This is not a cheap place to dine but it is definitely worth it in so many ways.

Hats off to the Las Brisas staff! We had over-the-top service, and the food was excellent. On top of that, we received a gift card from my parents-in-law for our anniversary when COVID-19 started and forgot about it. We hadnt been to Las Brisas in a while and decided to try to use it as we celebrated a late Valentines Day. We thought there was a good chance it wouldnt work(since my wife and kids have worked a lot in the food service business) and planned to pay full price. They had switched systems but still gave us the amount off for our meal! We will definitely be back and will recommend Las Brisas to everyone!

I never really give bad reviews of places as I hardly ever have experiences that genuinely make me dislike an establishment. My girlfriend of 6 years and I came here to celebrate Valentine s Day and the great reviews convinced me that this would be the perfect place. When we sat down it took 15 minutes to order water and we waited for a whole hour on top of that for our food. Granted, it was pretty busy, but not busy enough to warrant any reduction in quality. Especially for a nicer restaurant. The food was okay. The Southwest caesar salad just had little tortilla chip pieces in it, I was hoping for something a little more creative maybe. The filet I ordered tasted great but some parts were medium well and some parts were rare when I ordered medium rare. The truffled potatoes had a very offputting flavor (not the truffle, it was something else) and the side of asparagus was more of a garnish with just four pieces. Not to mention we never got any bread for our table, and hardly saw our server to ever ask her about it. I understand it was Valentine s and it was busy. But it wasn t that busy. If I didn t order a salad and eat my date s uneaten french fries I would have left hungry, which is absurd for a $70 per person restaurant. I m glad she enjoyed it but I think we ll go anywhere else for our next Valentine s/Anniversary.

The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were outstanding. We asked to substitute items and were given great options. The meatball appetizer is deceptively named; it can be meal on its own. Absolutely delicious. This is truly fine dining.

We have been to a handful of fine dining restaurants here in LBK and Las Brisas was good but did not quite live up to some of the others. The flavor was not lacking whatsoever (we especially enjoying the asparagus that came with our steaks and the creme brulee for dessert), however, some details were overlooked such as my steak not being properly rested. The service was very good, our server Deivan (Im pretty sure that was his name) was lovely. The atmosphere was what let us down ultimately. It felt like we were dining in a hotel meeting room. Im believe it was the very cold and uninspired decor. Overall we definitely enjoyed our meal, but for a fine dining establishment, it could use some TLC.

So today January 15th at 6pm I had reservations to celebrate my birthday . Our server (Laizer) was doing well till our order came out and one of our plates were wrong. Had to send it back don t think he was okay on that because after that he didn t treat us the same. I didn t receive a Happy Birthday song, cookie, scoop of ice cream Nothing and my husband told the server we have a birthday and when I called to make he reservation, she asked me if we were celebrating anything and I replied with Yes it s my birthday. We were a table of 5 and a baby and we felt discriminated. There were 5 birthdays and all had a sparkling candle and when it came to our time to pay all I received was our tickets. We were the only Hispanic in there. We all no how to act so of course we we re on our best and respectful behavior. And left feeling discriminated. I will not be returning. The food was really good but the hospitality service gets a 2 from me.

We ordered the filet topped with lobster, the ribeye, and appetizers We tried the calamari- it was sliced calamari steaks so a different but delicious way to enjoy it. The filet was ridiculously tender- like slicing through butter. The lobster was unforgettable. It had a wonderful buttery infused flavor in it that I ve never savored before (and i lived in Boston). Wine list was good, service was on it. We will be back.

I rarely, rarely give 5-stars. I always preface certain posts with this. I have eaten dozens upon dozens of restaurants , I am a hardcore foodie, and we love to cook so I am picky when it comes to 5-star. Las Brisas is one of the few that made the mark. We started at the bar while we waited. Drinks were almost instant, service (with a smile) was inpeckilbe. Drinks were great with the exception of my dirty martini. I should have opted for top shelf vodka but that is on me. We had a decent size party, 6 in all. Not bad but it was busy. Our one waiter (forget his name but he is tall and red-haired) did an incredible job. We didnt wait. I ordered the special, steak and fresh water lobster. It was very, very good. I almost exclusively cook steak at home because it is hard to get a good steak anymore. Las Brisas delivered. There was more to the meal from the amazing appitizers to the lobster Mac and cheese. Overall, was impressed enough to give a 5 star review. Well done Las Brisas!

Ive been waiting to eat here for years, and it was my first time. I had very high hopes. This is my honest review. (I really wish it was going to be better.) The food wasnt very good at all. Bread wasnt very special, but oh well... Filet mignon & New York Strip steaks were both crusted in black pepper so much that it was crispy. (The crispy texture on the crust was awesome, but the black pepper flavor was WAY overpowering & didnt taste good at all.) My wife ordered a medium rare NY Strip, and it came out well done. Zero red, pink, or any color other than black & gray. We arent the type to complain about that sort of thing, so we pressed on, but youd expect much better from the most fancy steakhouse in town. Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, Logans, and even my own personal steaks all taste way better than these steaks. The mashed potatoes were kind of bland. Asparagus - you know what youre getting. The Lobster Mac & Cheese tasted fishy. It was pretty disgusting. With lobster mac, I like to taste that the mac & cheese was made & completed before any lobster was added... this one seemed like they soaked the noodles in lobster water from the get-go. It was pretty gross tasting, sadly. The lone bright spot was French onion soup. That was tasty. Not the best in the world, but compared to all the other food, it was the best dish. The server was very nice and very attentive. He did a great job. He went above & beyond to offer to put our flowers in a vase on the table. The hosts also seated us immediately when we walked in, and we did have a reservation. Excellent service. The atmosphere was weird. It felt like an intimate place...where everyone was eavesdropping on your conversation. I saw multiple workers react to my private conversation as they walked by. I felt like I was being watched the whole time... My wife felt the same. It was very odd. I started pausing my entire conversation any time someone would walk by. So that made it feel weird. I really wish the food were better. Wanted to have an awesome experience. But even if the prices were similar to cheap steak houses... I still wouldnt come back. The food was that bad. We spent close to $200 and my wife left still very hungry because she couldnt even eat very much due to the bad taste. Next date night or special occasion, we will be going somewhere else. :/ Bummer.

I was passing through Lubbock on Sunday afternoon. Very few local steakhouses are open on Sunday and I didnt want to eat at a chain. The crowd here appeared to be after church late lunch goers. It wasnt full, but not empty, with good atmosphere and no waiting. The steak was simply amazing. Cooked with butter, which I dont like at Ruths Chris, but the execution was better here with the butter not overwhelming the steak flavor. I eat a lot of steak and at many places. This is one of the top examples Ive had in my life. The eggs, potatoes, and toast were fine, but best to just get the last bit of steak flavor. The wine list was good. I got a glass of cabernet I hadnt had before, a sub label of Caymus. Great restaurant, Im planning my next trip already.

We came here on a whim after a Google search for nearby restaurants. Best steak we ever had, and we have been to a lot of steakhouses around the country and abroad. We got the special 40 oz Australia Wagyu tomahawk and the crab beignets. Excellent service, robust wine list, all the food was amazing, but the steak was absolute perfection. Perfectly seasoned, perfect sear, deep flavor and the tallow served on the side put it over the top.

We had a fantastic evening here with Family. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the service was excellent from arrival to the end. I enjoyed a wonderful filet migion, and started with the appetizer plates foe the table. I personally liked the jalapeño poppers stuffed with smoked brisket. The wedge salad is also a must. For dessert the Butter cake with vanilla ice cream was out of this world.

We came here to celebrate our 18th anniversary. There was plenty of parking and a little side lake with a waterfall structure next to the outdoor seating. There were plenty of ceiling out on the patio. The inside has multiple sections that accommodate more seating and still maintain an intimate atmosphere. We sat in the dining room. The temperature was comfortable and had no draft. There is a VERY extensive wine menu if you are a connoisseur. The FreeFall cocktail was exceptional. Highly recommend We ordered seafood stuffed avocado. It comes with a side of white queso that was very tasty. They also give you complimentary bread and butter. It was also warm and delicious. I ordered lobster bisque and a house salad. The bisque has a little space to it if you are sensitive and there was only one small chunk of lobster, but the bisque was very good. My husband ordered the Bone in Ribeye with asparagus, truffle mashed potatoes and the wild mushroom medley. It was all very tasty. The steak, however, was more than tasty. I never eat steak because it s gross, but my husband let me taste his and it melted in my mouth. It was the best steak I have ever had. It had the flavor of heavy marbling without the gristle. The outside had a light crispy crust that broke apart like a pastry puff. I asked for a second bite which I never do. Las Brisas obviously knows how to choose a good cut of steak. We finished with dessert. I can t remember the name, but it was the last on the list. It was apple pie with vanilla gelato on top presented on a skillet with brandy butter poured over it. It was delicious. It is very pricey so we will return for special occasions only. There is no dress code, but it makes you feel like you want to dress up.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here around 5/30 on 7/21. And we could not have been happier with our experience. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and seated immediately upon our arrival, even though we did not have reservations. Our sever, Deiven, was amazing and took great care of us. We started with drinks and an appetizer. The Free Fall was the best cocktail I ve ever order. The roundness and depth of flavor was amazing. The seafood stuffed avocado was superb. Then my entree was the bone in ribeye with asparagus, truffle mashed potatoes, and I added the wild mushroom medley on the side. The steak was better than the ones I make myself at home! So very delicious! And the sides were just as tremendous. To finish off our meal, we had the apple pie for dessert. We did not expect it to come out in searing hot cast iron which caramelized the sauce right before our eyes! Bravo Las Brisas! What great memories we created here! Thank you!

Grant was great, best service and he made it a pleasant experience! The food was great, except the broccoli and asparagus could use less butter/oil. The place was super crowded, and we were seated next to a loud party, so it was hard to hear each other across the table. The food did take a while to come out as well, but it was busy, so thats understandable.

Easily one of my favorite high end steakhouses ever. My steaks are always cooked and seasoned to perfection! Ive had the ribeye and filet mignon. Ive dined inside and outside which is nice when there is a breeze and you hear the sound of the waterfall. If your looking for a fine dining experience in Lubbock go here.

Amazing meal. We had the wagyu tomahawk. Food was 10/10, makes the former best steak id had like a 2/10. I have thought about the meal multiple times a day each day since going. Wait staff never let the drinks get low. They were very polite and professional. The wine menu is EXTENSIVE, and that is putting it lightly. But with a whole book for wine selection i was surprised to only see one page of mixed drinks, although that is likely due to demand and demographic. Price is about what youd expect from a higher end restaurant like this. Whole steak looks small in the picture but it was definitely enough for two people.

Maybe a little bland, everyone except one had some type fish entree. Gorgeous presentation of food. I had the lobster macaroni and cheese. The cheese over powered the lobster, there was a very small amount of lobster. The stuffed mushrooms were bland. The food was good but not delicious. Out of seven, no one laid their fork down and said that was so good or that was the best ever. Our waiter was very attentive. Great atmosphere. My opinion is the whole menu is extremely pricey we might have had better luck at a Lubby Cafeteria.

I ve been very disappointed in most steak places I ve been to for the last few years but this was not one. The quality of the meat was really high and the preparation was spot on with lots of butter and pepper. They are obviously selective in where they source their steaks. The service was attentive and professional. We were with a large group during Tech s graduation weekend and the staff kept up amazingly well. I won t spend that kind of money for eating out often, but this would be at the top of my list to go out for steak.

Do not order the oysters! Spent almost $300 on a meal for me, my faughyer and granddaughter. Ordered the meatballs and 1/2 oysters for an appetizer. 10 minutes after eating 4 of them my daughter started thru up and was very sick. I ate 2. Our meal came and I told the waitress to box up my daughters meal as she was very sick and I thought it was the oysters! She never responded or sent a manager over or asked if she was ok. Later that nite I became very sick and began throwing up. My granddaughter who didnt eat any was fine. Disappointed in the experience and the lack of concern on the staffs part. Otherwise have always had amazing food

Was so excited to drive from out of town to eat here. Dined in with my mom and daughter to celebrate my daughter buying her first home. We ordered meatballs and oysters as an appetizer. 30 minutes later I was in the bathroom vomiting. My food had to be boxed up and we had to leave. I was so sick for the next several hours into the next day.. My mom told the waitress I had gotten ill most likely from the oysters and asked her to box up my filet. She never sent anyone over or asked how I was. Never apologized or asked if there was anything she could do, just gave me my food thrown like slop into a box. Very disappointed that our night was ruined. DO NOT order the oysters at this restaurant and do not expect good customer service.

Made a reservation in the patio for 7, was seated and waited for a server to ask what we wanted for our drinks and appetizers and never got attended. Had other people come in after us and were asked right away for their drinks and I looked over at waitress and she noticed I got upset about not being attended and still had us waiting. So we gave it another 15 min and still nothing so we walked out. May have been a racist thing but doesnt matter, I will never go back or recommend to anyone. Thanks for ruining a special dinner I had lined up for wifeys birthday.
