My mother unfortunately rented with Pat Garret for over 5 years and during her lease the property was acquired by Doors Management. Maintenance was difficult to come do repairs; a leaking faucet on the side of the outside building never stopped flowing, fence was hanging on by a few nails with a gate attached that was the only access to the dumpster, people illegally dumping and leaving trash outside said dumpster. What adds insult to injury is after Doors acquisition, Pat Garrett failed to send all of the leasing documents to the new company. Because of Pat Garrett s incompetence, they lost the inventory and conditions form and my mom was charged for things after the move out that were already damaged and notated on the form. They also failed to return a pet deposit $250. Pat Garrett s office has turned away my mom s in person visits and phone calls to respond to the missing documents. This is a woman on disability and a fixed income just looking for answers. They have also told the manager Robyn at Doors the paperwork that is missing is stored on a broken computer and inaccessible. Please keep all documentation in physical form if you must rent with this company, they are unprofessional and disorganized.

I have rented for 3 years and the customer service staff is amazing and quick to get you an answer to any questions. Also maintenance requests get handled in a timely manner, I have never had to wait more than one day before getting a technician scheduled to fix any issues. Very happy I chose to rent a home from this company!

I had a issue with my garbage disposal and faucet and they had someone out to fix super fast! The handyman Maurice was excellent and very efficient. I truly appreciate the quickness on getting this resolved. 10 out of 10 Great job!

The first time I came with my friend they were nice and just a tad snotty but tolerable. Mind you I was dressed regular. This time me and my mom came in (dressed in packing clothes) and they were so snotty and rude! Made us wait forever while looking us up and down and walking right past us. Talked to us like we were common trash once they found out where we were moving from. Thats the point of moving is to get out from where you are for one reason or another. We wound up just walking out. Pay Garret realtors your loss is someone elses gain. Would only recommend to snotty and judgemental people. Youll fit right in.

Walked in, and was greeted very cheerfully and warmly. When explaining our upcoming move from Colorado, they listened to our needs, budget, and time frame and found a very good looking property we were immediately interested in. While we havent yet entered an agreement with this management company, the friendly service we received in a quick drop by impressed me a great deal. Looking forward to proceeding with this company in our move to Lubbock.

The worst realtors Ive ever dealt with. They do not fix problems with your home, even after sending professionals out to assess the issue. As with all landlords, all they care about is money. Edit: they are now requesting I take down this review before they will work with us. Do not rent with this company.

I am BEYOND happy with our rental house through Pat Garrett. My husband and I were desperate for a house trying to find something fast. Mary Lou is such a blessing for this place and she has always been the sweetest and helped us with everything we have needed! The ladies at the front desk are always so helpful with our rent if we ever needed to be late they were understanding and have NEVER hounded us for rent. If there ever was a problem with the house somebody was out that day to fix! You won t be sorry to choose them as your realtors

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! After a month and a half of calling for my deposit of $1,000 we only received $175 back!!!!! We were charged $225 for carpet cleaning and $600!!!!!! For nail holes and TOUCH UP paint I knew they would keep some and come up with some unethical reason but not $800!!! We left the place SPOTLESS there were no huge holes in the walls just a few from decorations hanging! There we no receipts given or an explanation!!! KEEP YOUR MONEY and try your hardest to rent somewhere else! I ve read over a few of the reviews already posted and from what I can see the 5 stars are from the people that pay them to manage their properties!!! If I would have known they were going to charge such a ridiculous amount for a few nail holes and some touch up paint we would have done it ourselves for way less!!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!

I have never seen anything Like these people. My friend is disabled and Chad McDougal e mailed 2 disabled people that had Never been late was there around16 months in a nice quiet neighborhood.and Made 2 disabled people move in 5 weeks. Then They Never got their Deposit Back. This Place is a big rip off. My friends Bever did anything and stayed to their self. For them to get a e mail No certified mail . And 1 of them Had just had surgery was on a walker. Chad McDougal didnt care he threatened them on the phone. That if they wasnt out in 5 weeks he would keep their thing. This place is a joke NEVER RENT FROM THEM You will Not get Your Deposit back.They are money hungry People !!!!

Do not do business with this company! They are awful. My daughter and her 2 roommates are renting a property from these people and they have been horrible! This was my daughters first experience with renting a house and they treated them horribly because they are young college kids and they thought they didnt know any better. Mary Lou was condescending and rude and I made sure to have someone else finish their transaction. They tried to charge them for 2 days rent before they even turned over the keys! Ever since they moved in, they have had nothing but problems. Broken oven, both water heaters broken and one was said to be dangerous by Atmos Energy, switches that dont work, not to mention it was trashed and dirty when they moved in. Now the air conditioner has been broke for 4 days and they have done nothing but give them the run around and now they are telling them it will be fixed tomorrow...it is summer in Texas, this is unacceptable!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! I gave one star because I had to choose something. I would not even give them that!

This is by far the worst rental company Ive ever dealt with. For 2 years we stayed in one of their rental properties. We reported several things inside the house that needed fixing, but they never bothered to send anybody out to fix. Carpet was worn away prior to us moving in , and there were sharp metal pieces sticking up out of the floor. I cannot tell you how many times I or a family member stepped on them! After my husband tried fixing the kitchen sink he discovered the whole thing needed to be replaced. Never happened. The roof was missing many shingles which he also reported, finally after 9 months somebody was sent out to fix it. That was the month we put in our 30 day notice. I spent an entire week scrubbing, vacuuming, and sweeping the house so it was ready for inspection, and the next family, but we never got our deposit back. Nobody returned our phone calls, and we were blown off when we actually got a person on the phone. Pat Garrett owes us $900 of which we havent received one red cent!!! DO NOT RENT from this company, I guarantee you will regret it!!!!

My house sat empty for several years as it was in poor condition and not rentable; and I live outside the US. I met with Pat, she managed the renovations much less expensive than I could have imagined, and has been keeping it rented out for several years now. She took a liability and made it an asset. I have been very pleased with the management of my properties at Pat Garrett Realtors. In my opinion they are the best management company in Lubbock and I been with several over the years. I wish they would personally show the properties instead of checking out keys to vacant properties. In my opinion meeting with the prospective renter gives a higher prospect of a success. But that is a personal opinion. They communicate well with the property owners and keep them informed. A Great Company to deal with.

Think twice about using this company to manage your property. From our experience with them, they dont come soon enough to make repairs that more damage to the property has occurred. They do patch up jobs and do the minimum to correct problems so they keep returning to correct the problem. We discovered that there are other companies here in town that are excellent managers and are fair minded when viewing repairs. As both home owner and renter in the past, we rate their practices as unsatisfactory.
