I forgot how much I LOVE this place! I would go everyday if I could afford it! We spent an afternoon painting for a friend s birthday recently and the staff was so helpful, nice, friendly. The turnaround after getting the pieces fired was so fast! Can t wait to go back!

My wife and I come here every anniversary to paint mugs, plates or some of their fun figurines. Every time Ive been here, the employees and owner treat us like family! I dont have one thing negative to say about this establishment! Youre never rushed, youre always helped with a smile and I love when I ask for ideas.. they give me great ones! Ive seen the reviews about prices, however; these people fail to realize that these pieces will last a lifetime... Just think of the plate you put your 3 year olds painted hand on.. they are now in college.. it was worth every penny and those memories are/should be priceless!! Super fun experience & the staff is wonderful! We have been here twice and enjoyed it both times. I love that you are not charged extra for studio time or paints. My kids tend to take a long time and so its much more relaxing this way.

We had so much fun at Clay Cafe. It was the perfect place for our mommy/daughter date. We went for the first time and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the affordability and expected the prices to be higher. There is more than painting too. I saw mosaic options and more. We are excited to pick up our first pieces soon and go back to paint more!

I took my grandson to have a day out of the house. He enjoys finding a fun piece, painting and waiting to see the outcome. People are friendly. Our pottery day was fun and no ipad or gaming needed.

I took my daughter here for an early birthday treat and we both loved the experience. The owner and staff are very friendly, ambience is calm, and they have an abundance of items to choose from! This is a great place to get together and create some art!

I visited Clay Cafe for the first time yesterday with my daughter and mother in law. So much fun. I am not the greatest painter for sure but enjoy this kind of thing. My daughter finished her painting pretty quickly and has a limited amount of patience. I get lost in details. The wonderful staff made a to go painting kit so I could continue working on my project at home. So awesome. Returned it today so I am excited to be able to pick it up later. Really recommend stopping by.

Clay Cafe is a great place to relax and have fun with friends and family all while painting clay figurines how ever you want. I have been coming here for many years and can confidently say that my friends and family will continue coming here. This is a great place for your child to have a birthday party. In my experience the staff there has always been very kind and helpful. The figurines are returned within a week or two and have a very nice finish. So if your staying in Lubbock for 1 or 2 weeks this is a great way to spend a good 2 hours of your time.

Ive been to Clay Cafe a number of times, and never had a bad experience except for this last visit which was a bit disappointing. I explained to the worker that I was painting a mug for my moms birthday, and requested to pay the extra fee in order for it to be done it time. She assured me it would be done by then without me having to pay the fee. I was still a bit worried because I really needed this either before or on her birthday, but she insisted theyd have it out in time and will call me when its ready for pickup. The day before my moms birthday arrives, and I called to ask if it was ready, and they said come by tomorrow. No big deal, so I went in the morning and it STILL had not been put in the kiln. So this was a but upsetting especially because I love coming here, and had never had a problem before this, but overall I think they could have handled my situation better.

I took the granddaughters to make mothers day gifts for their mom. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. There was a good choice of items to paint and we generally had a good two-hour time of visiting and painting.

Nice and friendly when I come here, but Ive tried to come in to browse around 5 or 6pm on several occasions [on weekdays, usually] and theyre closed, even though their hours state theyre open til 7 or 9 [except on weekends]. Would be nice if they were open to the public until the time thats stated. Seems you have to get there earlier in the day or use time on a Saturday catch them when theyre actually open.
