Old dusty western cowboy vibes -in all the best ways! The bartender was friendly and cool to talk to. Drinks were made expertly. And overall a peaceful place to sit and take a load off. Just wish they had a drink menu of not just standard drinks. I want the pearls unique drinks!

There is a lovely atmosphere here. The bartender (Reuben) came over and chatted to us and then told us a story about one of the drinks. When my daughter went to order a second drink she changed her order halfway through and Reuben made it for her adding 4 cherries(!) which made her really happy. Then later on the owner came over and said hello and told us a little bit about the place. I would really recommend this place, me and my family really enjoyed it.

We loved this little bar! The bartender Reuben, was awesome! They had a good selection of beers, including craft beers. We were each able to find a beer we hadnt tried yet. They also had some good whiskys so had to end with an angels envy! Service was great and it was very clean and cozy! Wish we lived closer.

We were here on the first Texas Monthly BBQ fest held in in Lockhart, the bar tenders, Ruben and Hannah worked so hard they could barley come up for air. They sling drinks faster than any bar tenders I have seen in a long time. Amazing to see this level of talent in a small town.

The decoration makes this old building looks fresh and vibrant. The wood floors looks original, combined with fresh white paint on the walls and high ceilings . The wall behind decoration are a mix of traditional Texas artifacts and modern art, the combination looks great! My favorite part in the place is the long wood bar. Behind it, Ruben, the bar tender. He is super efficient and friendly. He takes care of everybody. Many of the customers are locals and he knows everybody. But even if you are not local he makes you feel welcome!. We are planning come back some Friday when there is live music night. Local artist come and perform. I heard this event it is worth it!

What more cld ya want from a local place but good drinks and good folks. Reuben promised to buy the ingredients for a vieuw carre, so please do ask him for this!! :) But his old fashioned is pretty good! And the story that goes with the Sheriff Franks Manhattan is pretty worthwhile. If youve never been to Lockhart, its a cute little town. Across from the Pearl is a beer and wine bar. Great downtown city square. Anyway, Pearl - stop in and have some fun! EDIT: Wrong pics?! Good Lord. :face_plant: AND - I already deleted those pics. Sorry bout that!

The Pearl---just 23 miles from South Austin---is worth a visit to Lockhart all by itself. Its an atmospheric blues bar with home-on-the-range decor and the friendliest bartender youll ever meet. Try Reubens craft cocktail with his homemade lavender syrup. All the drinks at affordable prices. We got to hear Austin blues legend W C Clark, who plays there often. This is a very special place.

Great local bar, Reubens hospitality is so warm and welcoming! Best bartender ever. He invited us in for some live music and it was WC Clark the godfather of Austin blues performing., It was Sunday late afternoon. How lucky were we! We were at the Pearl a few days ago- Beautiful little bar, affordable prices, with live music on certain days, I think? And to top that off, great hospitality and friendly service. We had a blast, lots of fun and laughers, thanks to everyone at the bar (Emilio, Dale, Mike, Jackie), and everyone one behind the bar (Ruben and Faith) - Texas hospitality at its best! Thanks Yall! NB: We meant to go back there the next day, but little did we know, the hotel we had booked did not honor the reservation and we ended up having to drive another 20 miles to find an hotel.. so we moved onward with our trip - but hit most places Ruben recommended :)

Reuben is great, he interacted with everyone who came and went. I understand why he received Best Bartender multiple times, as well as Best Cocktails and Best Bar. The clientele was an array of folks from different walks of life, and we enjoyed watching everyone having a good time. From multiple beer and craft beer choices to Moscow mules and Mexican (or Texas?) martinis, The PEARL has something for everyone. Note that Lockhart has a First Friday event every month throughout the square and beyond, and lots of places hold their special events those Fridays and stay open later for folks to come enjoy a good time, with some offering live music, drinks, and nibbles. We shall return!

Great place! Ruben, the bartender was exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere was so laid back and welcoming! Not to mention the location in downtown super historic Lockheart in a fantastic historic building was awesome. They had the BIGGEST buffalo head mounted over the bar I have ever seen! Yea, the ice cold beer was good too!
