Great trail, you can walk mostly in paved. Dirt track, the track moves next to lake so some path might be flooded, if you look closely you can spot frogs, birds and spiders. Many places to stop and take some pictures. Plenty of shade when we were there. We were able to do 3.6 miles back and forth from one end to another. We parked at DFW Surf.

This is a great beginners trail with a very clear path, part of which is paved. Great for families with young kids, or any dogs, since the elevation barely changes. Currently, June 2024, there are at least 3 low lying spots that are flooded due to all of the rain in May that has allowed the lake level to rise by at least 2.5 ft (so the volleyball courts are underwater). But its still an enjoyable stroll. In the evening we saw at least 4 cotton-tail rabbits! Lots of wildflowers at certain points. The parking space at Little Elm park south of the trail is huge, we brought in a 12 passenger Nissan van no problem. Still have to pay $10 for parking, but just on the weekend it seems. Bathrooms are pretty decent, and the beach is ok, crowded on a Saturday. Personally, I didnt enjoy all of the debris (twigs, leaves) from storms washing up and floating around, but my 6, 8, and 10 yr olds didnt care at all.

Great trail (relatively great for this area). I ve taken the kids here several times (elementary school age) and we park at the Rec center (The Rec at The Lakefront - Little Elm) and enjoy a nice hike on this trail all the way to the kids playground. Highly recommend this trail for young family!

This is a very short and easy trail to run or walk your dog on. There is a little grill/picnic area that opens up into the lake. When we went, someone was setting up for what looked like an event. Parking: There is parking south of the trail or at the trailhead Dog-friendliness: This trail is dog friendly

Fees: free Toilets: No bathrooms available except in stores as it loops behind some. So not a good situation if you have dogs with you. It would be nice if they had a place to tie off the dogs for when they descide to add one. Dog-friendliness: There was not many options for dog stations. You will need to cary the bag for a long time.

I was very pleased to find a trail with some tree cover! There are wide paved trails and some crushed gravel trails, very mild to no elevation. There are several access points to the lake that are walkable.

This nature trail is very well maintained, excellent walking trails for miles and miles. This trail has a spectacular scenic view, just be cautious of your step or you might fall. Remember to go around the back way because they charge 10 dollars for the main entry (its free to park in the back where the Trail is)

I really enjoyed Little Elm city. The trail is small and the best part to me is the dirt trail that goes nowhere just ends loop trails are the best a small few open spots to see the lake

Very nice trail. The trees are dense which makes for some dark areas that get darker during sunset. The area is absolutely beautiful. It leads by a lake that is very relaxing to chill by. You have to cross a toll bridge to get to it. It is about a buck and some change but it is worth it.

As I was walking through the tranquil water bordered trail, it was interrupted by all the trash that has accumulated along the tree line and bushes on the outskirts of the trail. Yuck!! Youd think since Little Elm is now charging people for parking to enjoy the park, they could also have someone regularly clean up the trash (bags, cans, bottles, paper wrappings, etc). I did see many Cardinals, Blue Jays, and squirrels
