The most amazing Ramen I have ever had! Everything is so fresh and crisp, the flavors slap you in the mouth. I have never ate so much food and been full but felt so light and energized. After eating the spicy miss I felt like I could box Mike Tyson and win.

Upon entry, my wife and i were immediately greeted and seated. Decor looks great, atmosphere is nice. We grabbed our menu and I noticed how the laminated menu smells like a dirty old rag. Like it was cleaned with a dirty, used, smelly rag. I asked to swap it out, they obliged, no problem. My wife orders the pork cutlets with rice, I order the seafood ramen. Her dish turned out great. Flavor was on point. My dish, the noodles were good, the broth was good...but my big bowl of seafood ramen was 80% cabbage filler, some noodles, 2 small pieces of shrimp, 3 small pieces of mussel and one small diced up calamari. The flavors of the limited amount of protein I had didnt exist...it was incredibly disappointing. Basically this was a cabbage ramen with a dash of seafood and some noodles. I think, if I ever go back, itll just to get what my wife ordered and Ill just skip the ramen all together. It wasnt worth the 17.50.

My daughter and her boyfriend took me to dinner here during a recent visit, and it was fantastic! She threatened to disown me for not ordering Ramen at a Ramen restaurant, but that Katsudon Rice Bowl was outstanding!! It was a 30+ minute drive through terrible traffic, but it turned out to be completely worth it. They also make some of the tastiest gyoza Ive had in a while. Cant wait to go back!

Service was slow, was seated and took awhile to even get someone to come over restaurant wasn t particularly packed either. My husband s food came out before mine and he was done by the time mine came out. Ramen was probably the worst I ve ever had and I ve been to a lot of places. I didn t even finish my ramen it was that bad. Would not come back here and would not recommend anyone else come here either. Was hoping for a different outcome as this place has a high star rating but alas.

Love Ramen hakata, Addison location especially. But todays at lewisville location the person serving us really treat us bad, we were eating and he just brings us the bill without out asking, it makes you feel like he wants us to leave the place. Best ramen but definitely they need to pay attention to this, the even moved other customers from tables in a very rude manner.

I ordered gluten free noodles but the waitress didnt write down my order which was weird. When she gave me my receipt there was no extra charge of gluten free noodles. I thought they must forgot to add that charge. Nope. I had horrible cramps all night. My fault for not checking the noodles and asking to make sure they had my order right, even tho that s not my job. Another time I asked for a chili oil ramen. Waiter brings out my order but there was no chili oil so I asked for it. His response? It doesn t come with chili oil, even though it s in the name. He told me that he would have to charge me extra but he was going drop the charge this one time. Obviously he forgot the chili oil and instead of admitting his fault, which is no big deal because everybody makes mistakes, he tried to blame me for thinking that the chili oil ramen comes with chili oil.

I used to eat here all the time, but the prices are ridiculous now. 3 years ago I paid $14.50 for a Large bowl of Spicy miso. That is now over $20. Insanity. Sadly, I will not eat here ever again because I cant justify it in my mind to be spending over $20 for a bowl of noodles. Everything on the menu is crazy expensive now, they are completely taking advantage of their customers with the pricing. SUCKS. Goodbye Hakata.

I ve come here a couple of times and it s been great every time. The Tonkotsu and Miso ramens are on point, I got the spicy versions and it was just the right amount of heat. The chicken karaage was also good but if I were to make it better, the pieces could be bigger and juicier, and the spicy version could be more spicy than sweet. Oh the regular portion size of the Ramen is huge!!

Best. Ramen. Ive. Ever. Had. Grab your hearing aids and listen up. There is not one single good Ramen place in Albuquerque so whenever I visit I have to hit this place up. This is the Nagasaki Seafood Ramen with added spice/soft boiled eggs/chashu. The broth is amazing. Also, be sure to try the Takoyaki (pastry with octopus in it) and the korokke (fried potato) which is like McDonalds hash Browns on steroids. Maybe one day Albuquerque will step up... Until then theres always Ramen Hakata.

Cool decor. Service was ok. Food was ok. Took the tsukemen; too much noodle for the small broth bowl plus broth was warm, not boiling so the cold noodles just bring the broth cold. Could do better.

We ordered takeout using online ordering, and there was a HUGE markup. Do not waste your time ordering online - it was minimum $6 more per dish, and we easily spent $25 extra because we didn t know about the increased prices online. I understand that online ordering services aren t cheap, but this high of an increase felt extremely scammy. The ramen was tasty, but it was not worth what we paid. If you want take out, call in, or just dine in to get a normal price.

We were super excited to come here for a date night but we were instantly disappointed when we took our first sips. I had the Tsukemen thats made with pork broth but the fish powder they used made it just taste like fish and the mushrooms were over salted. It was a slow night for them, but my noodles were really overcooked and stuck together. Their seasoned egg just tasted like soy sauce instead of that sweet and savory taste, so it made my dish way salty, fishy, and overcooked. My husband and I made a joke about how we could get papercuts from the Shashu pork because it was so thin. (See pictures) Service wasnt great either. The waitresses brought our beer and food but never came to ask if everything was OK, which is the norm. I asked for a different broth after finally flagging down a waitress and they never asked if we needed another drink when our glasses were empty, again it was a slow night, way over priced for they serve you. Nothing like the other ramen places weve gone to, this place is a sad joke...

I think this place is fine for ramen. But it is not Hakata Ramen. It tastes like they use MSG and Soy Milk to make their Tonkotsu ramen. It would be cheap if they just used a Hammer on pork bones and pig feet to make the broth. If they wanted to cheat a bit I would say use pig skin and chicken feet. But what they have seems lazy. Their miso just is too sweet, it tastes like Doenjang (korean soy fermented with bacteria not a fungus). Its obvious. Its a total lie that it is miso. They could say it is awase but it tastes like doenjang/ or yellow miso from China. They are overpriced and toppings make it expensive. Akin to going to a froyo place and overpaying for getting toppings. They make profit from the ramen craze but. It tastes okay I wasnt upset with it. But it isnt accurate. And the cheapest stuff is way overpriced. They need a real chef. They have 3 branches - and honestly - i bet the owner knows his stuff but the chef seems like they never had real ramen or just told to cut corners. - its really a 2 - if they lowered their prices would be a 3. 3-5$ ramen is better than this in Japan. If youre reading this you should hire me as your chef for a few days. BEAUTIFUL store though - I cant blame them too much for the prices. Ramen is meant to be like fast food and quick but people tend to hang around a long time and the lack of turn around drives up those prices. I have more to say about noodles but its all about the stock. I have been here 3 times same every time. And it is someone else saying to go.

Weve been to a lot of Ramen joints in the mid cities area. Overall, Ramen Hakata in Lewisville is the one we keep coming back to. Always fast and friendly, the ajitama (soft boiled eggs) are consistently jammy and well-marinated, the various broths are always rich and creamy (Im partial to the tonkotsu, but Ive had others that are excellent as well), the chashu is well-cooked, and the whole package hits just right. There might be other places that do individual components better, but for us, Hakata offers the overall best variety, quality, and price. My wife got the kimchi ramen this time and it instantly became her new favorite. I went with the tantanmen which was outstanding-- the ground pork in place of the chashu was a nice change of pace and the spicy broth was delicious. My ordinary go-to is the N2 (spicy ramen hakata), and I really love how they dont skimp on the spicy. Theyve also got a wide variety of appetizers and other ramen alternatives. I highly recommend this place!

My husband and I have yet to try something we didnt love!! Tayokai 5/5, tuna tataki 5/5, fried shishito peppers 5/5, garlic ramen (both reg and spicy) 5/5, yakisoba 5/5, chicken karaage 5/5. We even got a side of tofu for my niece when I went with my brother/fam and she loved it. Not gonna lie. I drink the remaining sauce from the tuna tataki because its so ridiculously delicious. So, I went to this place today. The food? Absolutely delish! But, oh boy, the service was a whole other story. Get this: they served us soup, right? But guess what no spoon on one of our dish, Tonkutsu(pork cutlet) with a soup! They seriously thought wed slurp it up with chopsticks or something. And our server, tall and skinny lady, seemed like she was doing her best to avoid us. No one came over to check if we needed anything, not even once. Kinda put a damper on the whole vibe, you know? I mean, the food was top-notch, but the service? Nah, they gotta step it up big time!

We were a little surprised after eating here that this restaurant has such a high rating. The food did not live up to it. We had the korokke which were good but so dry and thick that we needed a gulp of soda after each bite. The geso karaage were way too greasy. The katsudon was disappointing and wasn t as the menu described. The miso garlic ramen was just okay, didn t have as much flavor as we were expecting. Their menu just says melon soda but it was actually a melon cream soda so it wasn t quite what we had been wanting. Overall would recommend this restaurant for decent food, but nothing great or special.

It is a fairly small space so it can get pretty crowded. The service was okay. Not great but not horrible. They were fairly quick to seat us, ordering was pretty quick, but the check ins were almost non-existent. I had empty water until the point we almost left. Other than that, things were fine. I had the Miso Garlic Ramen and my boyfriend had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. We also had the dumplings. All were amazing. Wait staff was prompt and attentive; not overwhelming or asked if you need anything every 5mins. The food. . .well its Hakata so its gonna be good. Went with a newcomer to the ramen world and they loved it and now a fan. Went close to closing time and was seated and sever with no problem. Order drinks, appetizers, and main dishes for 3; served under 10mins for the time we ordered. Great location for this chain. Food was okay but they have deceptive practices in the billing. They have mandatory 18% gratuity for 6 or more. We were 5 adults and 2 toddlers. They charged gratuity which was still okay, but the credit card receipt still had the tip column and suggested tip amounts. No one cared to clarify as well that the tip has already been added to the bill. Customer can unwittingly end up double tipping. Expected more sincere service from a Japanese chain..

Great food but service was lacking. Once we got our food our server disappeared so refilling drinks and putting in an other order took awhile. I had to wave down a line cook from the kitchen area to get someone else to help us out. We never did see our original waiter again. They were on the other side of the room busy with a table of ten people. Well have to try this place again. 4-2-2023

The Ramen was AMAZING with the exception of the Charsu Pork looked and tasted old. It was dry and dark brown sitting on top of my Ramen. They knew it was old but served it to me with this knowledge. Other than that, this review could have been a FIVE Star review. That broth is AMAZING and the noodles are perfect.

This is my second time coming to Ramen Hakata. I had to get the okonomiyaki again, its so good! I grabbed the tsukemen this time and it looked and tasted amazing! I also got the Hakata Yuzu Sparking Soda, which tasted really good. I highly recommend coming here! Parking: Big parking lot shared with the rest of the shopping center

Have eaten there many times; however during lunch. Wanted dinner tonight. Came in @7:30 and noticed one table available. Sadly, we were seen but not acknowledged by staff. Waited 8 minutes for a table or at least an acknowledgment. (Two servers walked right by with water pitchers and couldn t say hello or we ll be right with you) Two gentlemen came in behind us and asked how long we have waited. Explained to them that I was frustrated that I was seen and not acknowledged so I left. Upon leaving in my car I see the two gents are seated .. likely waiting only a minute or two. I went back in to tell the waitress who seated them what happened. She giggled and she was sorry..not sincere. Offered to find a table..which there were none. Told her I had lost my appetite based on how I was treated. Sad how one experience like this can change your feelings for a place and deplete any desire to return.

Disappointing spicy miso ramen. Spice level was good, but the egg was cold, and the pork was thin and rubbery. Too expensive for what it is. There are plenty of other options these days for ramen, will go elsewhere.

Great place to go with a small group of friends, family, or perhaps a small business meeting. Chashu is non-standard, feels more like pulled pork but still delicious and umami. Ramen broths feel full and robust. Their kimchi is feels very authentic, reminds me of my mothers home made kimchi when she would put some in a stew or ramen for me growing up. Noodles were cooked firm(which is how you should enjoy ramen IMO ). You get A LOT of food for the price, and the food is good enough for me to write this review! I eat a lot and the large size ramen was actually to much for me to eat in 1 sitting!

This is easily on of my favorite ramen places in the whole of Texas. First off, their spicy edamame. No one (NO ONE) makes the sauce like theirs. It is the perfect blend of spicy and savory. I have been to many other restaurants, trying their spicy edamame, and none of theirs compare to theirs. Then, there is the matter of ramen. Its really good. The broth is good, and so are their toppings. It truly feels relaxing and amazing. Finally, there is their ambience and service. AMAZING. Edit: their pan-fried gyoza is the best in Texas, and maybe the U.S.. Food and Drink 4.7/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 4.8/5

Worse ramen I ever had. The broth is bland, noodle meh. Gyoza is not real japanese way of making and preparing gyoza. It looks more like Chinese fried dumpling. Its horrible. Its also not cheap to eat here. Would have been OK with the cost if the food and service is good. Warning, if youre looking at decent ramen place this is not it. Disappointed. Never coming back.

Perfect place to be in cold weather. Ramen soup is super delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options. I had ramen vegetable miso broth and others had chicken. Everything was delicious. They charge 75 cents for extra spicy sauce. We ended up paying $4.00 for spicy sauce but it was all worth it. Vegetarian options: Three vegetarian options

Loved the Ramen here!!! Ordered the Spicy Ramen and it was great! The flavor was perfect and not too spicy. Highly recommend N2 :) The restaurant serves Sapporo, Asahi, Kirin and few other beer options. They also serve Sake. Interesting dessert options like Japanese Cheesecake and Mochi icecream. The menu is quite interesting with several options other than soup bowls. Gotta try them the next time. Nice looking restaurant with easy parking. Right at the entry of Vista Ridge Mall. Service was good and quick. This will be my go to place for ramen. Pricing : Moderate Will I return? : For sure!

Ive been eating here for the past few months. I held off on writing a review until i had eaten everything on their menu. Aside from a certain seasonal cold ramen dish that Ive yet to sample I can say that everything, personal tastes aside , is very tasty with most dishes being delicious. The food is always prepared fresh and comes out piping hot or in the case of their desserts are cold but not so cold as to dampen the flavor. Their sparkling citrus drink is refreshing and their hot green tea is my favorite out of their offerings. The imported beers are ice cold with asahi being on tap, though i will admit i didnt drink the alcohol the very often. A few people Ive met that traveled abroad said the ramen tasted authentic compared to their memories of Okinawa. I will continue dining here in the future and look forward to next spring when i can final try the cold ramen.

One of the best place to get Ramen. Ambience - I love this ambience and quotations on the wall about the food. A tiny place with decent lighting and sanitized and clean tables. Food - vast varieties of food with different meat options like octopus fries , squid , shrimp , fish and chicken. As I m allergic to shell and sea food , I preferred chicken which tastes delicious. Service - The service was great and very quick. Love to repeat the place.

I hate to leave this as I love this chain but the service, at the lewisville location, was the worst. I usually go to the one in Farmers Branch and will continue to go there. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy. We ordered and the lady helping us was not listening to my needs and had a bit of an attitude. I also ordered a drink that I had to remind her twice I had ordered. The other lady working last night was more helpful and grabbed the drink. I also ordered 2 eggs with our noodles and this lady walked by us three times before reminding her. She acknowledged me but never grabbed it. I had to ask the Other young lady to grab it and she only grabbed one, which is ok long as my partner got to eat what we asked for. The food was excellent as always but the service was just not up to par as we are used to. Very disappointing.
