What an incredible surprise. Beautiful steakhouse in the middle of Mansfield. 5 star experience from walk in to dessert. This place majors in the minors. Every detail was attended to. Get the salmon and pork chops and do not pass the opportunity to get the Brussels sprouts. When youre done, go next door and grab a cigar and a port. Best money I have spent in a long time. Executive chef Derek is innovator and all around great guy. He is running a great show that can compete against any steakhouse in the world. Its that good.

My family and I have visited Meehans a few times a since they opened. Each time has been great. The atmosphere and food are amazing, and the bar area is especially awesome. The head chef even came around to ask our opinion a few times, and once even sent a few apps our way to critique and give our opinion on. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak bites app and the filet. Fine choices, and for a fine steak place their prices are reasonable and locked into what you get and the awesome service you receive.

My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch experience at Meehans. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. We were greeted by two lovely hostesses and sat immediately. Our server was Tatum and she was an exceptional server! Tatum was kind, sincere and very knowledgeable of the menu. She was so attentive to our table that we never had to ask for anything. The staff were all amazing as many of them stopped by to say hello and check on us. I ordered a Oaxaca old fashioned and it was one of the best I ve ever had!! Our food was plated beautifully and superb! I highly recommend Meehans to anyone looking for a beautiful dining experience with excellent service .there are no disappointments here. Thank you to the entire staff both foh/boh! We will be back.

Talk about an excellent experience. Had a business meeting here, but did we did not go light on the food and drinks. We started with the seafood tower, which I guess we were hungry as 0 photos were taken. The oysters were great. I didn t ask, but they tasted like east coast oysters to me. The shrimp and lobster cocktails were also great. The crab mixed in with some veggies was very good, though I m not a huge fan of celery. I got a wedge salad (modified my way), as well as a 6oz Filet and a Grilled Lobster tail. It was all phenomenal and I left so full. I also had the special old fashioned that has peanut butter whiskey. Quite good. Parking: It gets busy at times and there s difficulty finding parking, however they do have a complimentary valet.

It was my second time here, I brought my husband to celebrate our 12th anniversary. The service was mid and my crabcakes were burned on the bottom. The manager Jarrett came out and made sure they were made over and removed from my ticket. Ill definitely go back again, I love their crabcakes and their prices

FAIR I am comparing this restaurant to other chophouses which I have experienced in other cities. They overload their dishes with way too much sauce. Potatoes were huge and loaded. This does indicate inexperience. This place is new since 2022 so there is room for improvement. I do not know if there is another chophouse in the area.

We were looking for somewhere to celebrate our Anniversary after church. I Google 10 best restaurants in Mansfield. Meehans was #1. We were able to get a reservation immediately. From the young lady that greeted us (black hair with blonde in the front) it was a great experience. We order calamari all the time. We all agreed that it was the best weve ever tasted. My mother and I had salmon and mashed potatoes. My husband had the 8oz steak with potatoes. We walked away satisfied and said that wed love to visit again. Weve lived in Texas two years now, this by far is the best food weve had to date.

My bestie made reservations here at 3:30 yesterday (Friday) for 7:45 time. We got in but she had to call back to say we would be closer to 8 - my fault, had to work late. They were very nice about it. It seemed to take forever to get here (Im from North Dallas, not from this area) but when we arrived, it seemed perfect, right on the corner, plenty of room for complimentary valet, with two young people waiting to greet us and park our car. We love to dine in nice establishments all over the world but I must say we were impressed by what we saw as soon as we walked in. Lots of smiles all round and we were seated immediately. As we strolled to the dining area, I noticed a nice bar area to the right. Cute booths, I thought. The dining room was full and we were seated in a table right outside the kitchen. I am particular and as a I watched people coming out of the kitchen, walking right past me - on both sides, I didnt want to sit down. I told the host - Id rather sit somewhere else. I was told there were no other 2 top tables available. We considered moving my chair so that I wasnt on the aisle in the corner, with people quickly passing on both sides, but it was too tight a fit. I should have taken a star off for that and I wont eat here again - I dont care how few people are in my party - without being assured that I wont be seated here again. On to the service - we were seated for a few minutes before someone asked about drinks, but we were tended to as far as water. We both asked for a martini - different for each. They arrived but seemed weak. My friend asked for a shot of Grey Goose $11 and split it with me. I had asked for extra olives with mine, thinking they might bring a tiny bowl with maybe 3 or 4 extra. But I guess their olives are flown in - I was charged $3 and there were 4 olives on the toothpick. I abandoned my drink and asked for a 12 yr old Macallan $22. I was surprised that it was served in a glass very different from the traditional rocks glass. Ive been enjoying much pricier whiskys for years but always in a rocks glass so I looked up this glass. My glass appeared to be either a tulip or a Glencairn glass, perfect for swirling the whisky to open up the aroma. I learn something new every day! And the night continued to improve, in spite of where we were sitting. We shared the crab cakes $24 and they were delicious. Cooked just right, slightly flaky and with a slight crunch to the batter. We also split a wonderfully fresh Caesar salad. It was topped with a couple of anchovies, and lots of beautiful shaved parmesan cheese on top. The service by Quon was exceptional. We did have to flag down others more than twice, but we women want what we want when we want it, lol. He knew the menu so well, spoke eloquently and made us laugh. My lobster and 8oz filet $78 arrived at the same time as my friends ribeye $76. My lobster was very tasty but the filet - oh, it melted in my mouth. Seasoning was excellent and it all went well with my scotch. My friend loved the ribeye and of course we needed containers to take the extra, but ordered a glass of Bordeaux each - she told the waiter she just returned from France and wanted a nice French wine. It didnt disappoint. We ended it with dessert - I got the chocolate souffle $14 and she ordered the divine carrot cake $13. Overall, this is a beautifully-designed restaurant with wonderful staff, happy management, delicious food, nostalgic music and left me not minding to see the $360 bill. Ill gladly do it over again - at a different table!

The service and atmosphere were excellent! My key lime martini was yummy!! My seafood plate was not. The sauce was bland. The lobster was overcooked. My mom had salmon and said it was ok. My husband had the lamb chops and said they were amazing. The warm spinach salad and calamari were both really good! The mac n cheese and asparagus were both ok. If we choose to dine here again we will try the steak. Altogether it was a bit overpriced.

Why have I never been here?? Met a friend for lunch, but Ill be coming back for date night. Lighting was great--dim, but no so dark as to be weird for a lunch with friends or for business. Music was instrumental and a good volume--it could be easily heard but did not drown our conversation. The server, LJ J, was exceedingly knowledgeable and attentive while both maintaining a polite distance and displaying a friendly sense of humor. There are several things on the menu that sounded amazing (and even better with his description), but I had vowed to be good, so I had already settled on the salmon. It was some of the best Ive ever had, and now it will be difficult to order anything else. If only all healthier choices could be as fantastic! Prices were also extremely reasonable, especially for a chophouse. We will most definitely be back.

Nice premium Steakhouse in Mansfield in the old mellow mushroom location. Service is absolutely on point. Burratta was good. Excellent salad and side choices. Ribeye great, fish was good - what I expected for a steakhouse. Excellent creme brulee. The only thing that wasnt worth it to me was the pecan bourbon old fashioned. Overly sweet without any pecan I could taste. Thats a minor point. Food was good, will be back to try other things. Cant beat the location if you live by there.

This was very much probably a once in a lifetime thing. The only reason we went was a friend had a gift card from her boss so we had a girls night. Super spendy for my Wendys budget lol. The staff was very friendly, wait staff was great and sometimes overwhelming when 5 were setting food down around us at one time. For the 3 of us we shared the chicken fried steak bites (appetizer, delicious), 2 steak frites (sliced filet (I think 4 slices on each plate) w shoestring potatoes and some kind of sauce, delicious but salty), a side of asparagus (delicious), a side of sauteed mushrooms (delicious but enough for 5 people) and a slice of white chocolate cheesecake (also delicious). 3 drinks (lemon drop martini, blushing lady (I think), blackberry gold rush*2, all good. All that was $240ish but a fun experience.

Had an amazing lunch at Meehans today, and Keaton, the bartender, made it all the more special. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a genuine smile and warm hospitality. Keaton was not only skilled at making delicious cocktails, but he also had great recommendations from the menu. His friendly and down-to-earth demeanor made me feel right at home. He paid attention to every detail and really went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. The other day I was complaining to a friend our area lack of deliciously prepared high quality restaurant options served by professionals in an elegant setting. He highly recommended this place. On Saturday for lunch gave it a spin. From the time we were warmly welcomed by the team through having felt so special by our professional wait staff with providing us a run down of the over the top daily specials thru making recommendations. We ordered the lobster rolls, setting our expectations of a so so roll. Only to be overly surprised by the large, yet reasonably portion size of freshly prepared lobster. The dessert options are plentiful. No need anymore to make the long drives to Dallas or Fort Worth for those special occasions or just because lunchtime dinners. This place puts Ruth s Steakhouse to shame in terms of genuine service and food quality. I found my restaurant treasure here in Mansfield. Bon appetite

My wife, our son and I went to have an early dinner there. We ordered the calamari, it was just okay. Ruth s Chris Steakhouse s is far better. Our steak came and it was just okay. It was cooked correctly, but it could have had a better sear on the outside. I ve been to other steakhouses, like RC or Peter Lugar in NY, that really knocked my socks off. It was just okay. Mashed potatoes were very good, so was the asparagus. We probably won t return.

The atmostphere, the service are exceptional but they lack of good food in my opinion. We had the hafl dozen oyster and the oyster were very tiny, my bf ordered rare steak and it was medium cook, I ordered the sear ahi and the fish was too over cooked, not a rare and red looking like how I had it before in another place. Luckily we ordered side dishes and we filled with mushroom and spinach. The side dishes were worth eating lol. I never left any food but I had to leave the ahi on the plate. The service were great though.

I would think something from the Russian river valley might be available, and perhaps it is. I was sold on the house blend. The filo wrapped Brie is simply ridiculous. It is a must have. The steak is cooked perfectly, as you would expect. This is a Michelin star restaurant. We had high expectations of the place. Sadly, the expectations were not fully met. Maybe the staff didn t know where they were working. Our server was a pro, but the 13 year old they have working in the front are just too juvenile. These kids don t know what courtesy is. So, you spend a fortune on a meal, you re expecting some courtesy. Seems like an easy win. Management: hire and train more knowledgeable staff.

World class dining experience!! David was so incredibly warm, friendly and professional! My server, Justin, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable though also very down to earth and approachable. Felt every bit like the fine dining establishment it is with a personal touch! Had the Steak Frites--amazingly prepared with fantastic texture and melt-in-your mouth chew while maintaining a satisfyingly beefy taste you expect out of a perfectly prepared steak. Brussel sprouts were divine, perfectly roasted and paired with a creamy parmesan sauce. Creamed corn was fantastic and I swear the kernels were freshly separated from the cob just before service! And of course the calamari lives up to the praise from all the other reviewers! So tender yet somehow encased in such a perfectly prepared crispy and flaky crust! Paired with the cilantro cream sauce it was some of the best Ive ever had! Finally I had an amazing roasted pecan and brown butter Old Fashioned which, hands down, was the best cocktail I have ever had! A must try when it is available on the menu!

My husband and I went to Meehan s for our anniversary this past weekend and the entire experience was top tier. The restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter was so attentive and kind. He wished us a happy anniversary several times and brought us a celebratory slice of raspberry cheesecake after our meal. The cheesecake was the perfect touch to top off an amazing dinner. We had the calamari and crab cakes for appetizers. They were so good. For our meal, we shared grilled salmon with asparagus and the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent. The filet mignon was some of the best we ve ever had. We also enjoyed our drinks. I got the Blushing Lady and my husband had their tequila old fashioned. They were great. We will without a doubt be back.

Meehans is better than most high-end steak houses in Dallas or Ft. Worth. Everything Ive ever had at Meehans is cooked to perfection and delicious. We went with a group last night and had everything from a Fillet, Ribeye, Steak Frites, French Onion Soup, lobster risotto, and finally, the bread pudding for dessert. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable. Everything was amazing. Im so glad we have an upscale restaurant in downtown Mansfield.

My wife and I went to Meehans for our 23rd anniversary. We have always had the worst of luck going to restaurants. Meehans did not disappoint. From the time we walked in, we were greeted politely and my request on our reservations were observed. The general manager greeted us during our visit. He assured us we would have a wonderful visit. The staff walks with a since of urgency, and makes you feel like you are their priority. Our waiter was amazing. Explained the menu in detail, made us laugh, and interacted with us on a personal level. The staff that brought food or drinks to the table all wished us a happy anniversary. The food was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection for once. My wife had the crab stuffed trout and was in heaven. The calamari was the best that I have ever tasted. Let s just say we had an amazing visit. We appreciate the efforts from the staff to make us feel special. Thank you Meehans.

The service was superb, highly recommended, we went to the smoker/cigar lounge first, but the front door guy walked us over to the restaurant, was impressed with the lighting, it was just low enough to set the mood just right, the waiter did a excellent job explaining the menu items, his recommendations on the salad, life changing he said lol. We never had to ask for water, the team made sure I glasses were full, don t know if the owner and his family being there enjoying dinner in one of the private rooms off to the side, which they had abundance of, had anything to do with it lol but we came from the dining experience, very satisfied!

This place is excellent. Fancy chain steakhouse level of food and drink but much more well done. Everything we have had here has been excellent. Salmon- 9/10 Chicken fried steak bites - 8/10 Calamari- 9/10 Spinach salad- 10/10 Brussels sprouts- 12/10 Pear martini (no longer on the menu, but they will make it for you) and old-fashioned very good. Our server was Kendall and he did an amazing job. Priced a bit higher than we would prefer, but it is great food and a great experience. One piece of feedback, we like to eat in the lounge. There is typically 3 to 5 employees huddled up at the bar, visiting and talking, etc. and it really takes away from the atmosphere.

I visited this location an hour before closing and sat at the bar. This was my first time there I believe he was the bar buser, Alec, was his name, was extremely attentive and kind. The food was really good, my first drink I felt was a bit stingy, but my second drink was a good poor. I m assuming it s a strategy I wasn t impressed outside of that. The chef is exquisite, wait staff is exceptional, the ambience is amazing and last but not least, the food is absolutely delicious! There is a beautiful dark wood bar that has amazing drinks. Booked private room for Christmas Eve dinner with family, ordered $65 bottle of wine for the table, was silently swapped to a $225 bottle without even a subtle mention of a price difference. That totaled up to $1125 for the table, instead of the $325 it should ve been. Management was rude to us after spending $5k at their restaurant, and began to kick us out while we were saying our goodbyes, before we had even been given the check! I checked after we had left, and we had exceeded their closing time by a bit, but no one had even mentioned the fact that they were closing, so I don t really understand the passive aggressiveness towards paying customers. Service was all over the place, servers were offhandedly rude and everyone was acting as if we were burdening them by being there. We ll take our money elsewhere next time. Also charged full price for a plate on a child, $105. Laughable. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly.

For a Friday night we were able to get in, server Lawrence awesome. Appetizers were OK and main dishes were OK. One fish order and one massive steak, steak was just ok, sides were good and dessert was really good as well as drinks. Comparatively, most high end steak restaurants across the metroplex, pricing is the same however the flavor and tenderness of steaks is apparent. Always willing to try again to support local businesses. Good experience overall. Parking has a valet option, self parking for the few restaurants in the area at peak times can be limited.

We celebrated our 16th Anniversary tonight and were treated so special! We did not expect any handouts because truthfully we were just glad to eat local and be less than 10 minutes from home! We were completely surprised with a champagne toast and dessert! Great experience! The staff was AMAZING! Especially one of the managers, Quinci. She was very attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. Constructive feedback: We have traveled and lived in different places in the US and the world and we have never been to a chophouse or steakhouse that didn t add something special to the table when celebrating a birthday or anniversary. For example, perhaps a little chalkboard sign that reads Happy Birthday or a free dessert would be nice as a thank you for sharing your special day (and lots of money) with us. Also, the restaurant was beautiful, however it could use the soft touch of fresh flowers or baskets, etc. Overall, a great experience and we will visit again (although not for a birthday celebration )

I highly recommend Meehans for a special occasion. The restaurant is beautiful and intimate. Its nestled in historic downtown Mansfield. The service is impecible. The food was devine. The calamari was the best Ive ever had. The lobster risotto was dreamy. The steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked as requested (med rare). The raspberry cheesecake was the perfect finish. Did I mention the service? We felt like royalty. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. Unfortunately I didnt get pictures but trust me, you wont regret a visit to Meehans. Side note, the have a cigar bar attached to the restaurant if thats your thing. Beautifully renovated downtown Mansfield restaurant with a touch of sophistication and high end menu choices. From the looks, I would estimate at least a $10 million investment was made to this property. We had an 8:15p reservation and they were running about 15 minutes behind so we started with 2 old fashioned from the bar. Nice selection of liquors to satisfy most taste ranges. I had them make our drink with Bulleit Rye Whiskey. Well made cocktails by knowledgeable bartenders. Will have them make mine less sweet next visit. The signature M pressed into the square ice cube was a great touch. You can also order restaurant menu food from the FCFS bar seating area without reservation. The lovely solid oak interior dining space is well designed with several private rooms of varying sizes and a central divider all working together to reduce the ambient noise and deliverer a private feel to your dining experience. Yes, as mentioned in other reviews, the chairs are large, comfortable and a little tight for the table spacing...but I really like those chairs. Knowledgeable and well trained staff and management were very attentive. Bottle of cant miss Justin Cab to start with their delicious crab cakes. Accompanying sauce had a nice spice that went well with the cakes and corn relish. We had the Duroc Pork chop and a Seared Chilean Seabass. Both coked to a perfect medium to preserved optimal moisture and tenderness. They remade my pork shop, without my asking, and a manager came to our table to notify us that the first one did not finish to their standards. Notification was appreciated, a slight comp would have been nice. Pork chop was tender and delicious, presented with the long rib bone attached. The Sea Bass was flaky and tender but could have used a touch more seasoning. My wife actually dribbled some of the Brussels Parmesan Cream sauce on the Sea Bass to kick up the flavor. Side of Mac and Cheese was acceptable...an add on option for lobster should be on the menu. The Brussel Sprouts in a rich parmesan cream sauce were delicious. I would recommend cooking them quartered, instead of halved, since they were so large. Overall, a great upgrade for downtown Mansfield. Well done, for the length of time they have been open. I expect continued refinements this year will be incorporated to get the recipes up to what is available from similar DFW establishments. I will review the Henrys Cigar Lounge with its giant TV screen and full bar area at a later date. 12/19/23 update: Couple of Woodford Old Fashioneds got us going in the right direction. Brussels are delicious and perfectly cooked. 6 oz filet and lobster were delicious. Crab cakes always a favorite and love the slightly spicy relish accompaniment.
