When I look at my maternity pictures, I am overwhelmed with emotion. You wouldn t be able to tell in these photos, but I am a breast cancer survivor. I have had so many procedures done to me throughout the years, and all the scars to prove it. I have struggled with body dysmorphia and was really anxious to get my maternity photos done. However, I am 6 years into my survivorship and pregnant for the very first time, so I knew I would regret not getting photos. I am so glad I found Rita. She was so comfortable with me, and I with her. You can totally tell how confident I felt in the photos. All the outfits are hers, so it was so easy to just show up with hair and makeup done. She is efficient with her time in the studio as well as post. She did not keep us waiting with photos and edits. I am so appreciative of the experience and will work with Rita in the future. Thank you Rita for these photos that I will look back on for the rest of my life!!

We found Rita based off previous 5 star reviews and we now know why she has them! We chose the Baby Collection but ended up buying almost 1 of every set because they were so good. We could tell immediately that Rita was going to be great! The way she was able to comfort our baby throughout the process was something very special to us. Her sets are 1 of a kind because most of her outfits were made herself. Stop shopping around and just book a time with her because youre going to love the entire experience.

Absolutely loved having Rita as our newborn photographer! I booked her last minute for an availability she had and she went out of her way to work with me on such a short timeline. She was so great with our baby girl during the whole shoot, worked with me on my vision and what I wanted for the photos, and made sure the session was stress free for us. Rita is an amazing photographer. There are a lot of newborn photographers in the DFW area, but Rita stood out to me. The quality of her work is incredible. It was hard picking out photos at the end because we loved every shot. She worked effortlessly with our Son, making everything look so easy even though what she does requires hard work and patience. She was wonderful and patient with our Son through all the feeding breaks we had to take during the photo shoot. It was so easy to work with her and she is a great communicator, responding to any questions you have quickly. I would highly recommend Rita to anyone looking for a newborn photographer. Rita photographed my daughters 1 year cake smash and did a fabulous job! She had outfit options for us to choose from and was so patient as my daughter threw a tantrum for about half of the session. I was so amazed that she was able to capture such darling shots despite how hard my daughter worked to be miserable the whole time! If you re looking for a maternity photographer, Rita is the one!!! She has such a detailed eye when it comes to taking photos. I had never had a professional photoshoot before and was nervous about how to pose. Rita breezed me right through it with directions on everything that made the photoshoot so easy and fun! She picked an amazing location with beautiful scenery. The wind was not in our favor that day, but she still managed to turn out amazing photos! I ll be honest, I m usually not the type that leaves reviews but after Rita did our newborn photos I made it a priority to do so. Everything went smooth from the moment I first contacted her until the finished product. The newborn shots are priceless and timeless her attention to detail and patience is unmatched. She had so many outfits and headbands to choose from and worked so efficiently yet gently to get my baby changed and posed so sweetly for each shot. I hate myself in pictures normally but postpartum ladies, listen up, Rita knows how to work the camera angles to hide the chins and left over baby chub! There is definitely some major talent here and I m so happy I will now have these pictures to treasure forever- my little girl will LOVE looking back at these some day. I highly recommend Rita and look forward to working with her again this Autumn for our next session.

Rita was PHENOMENAL!!! Not only are our maternity pictures absolutely stunning but the quality of care, consideration and attention to detail Rita demonstrated exceeded all expectations from the time we first contacted her until our photos were finished. I found Rita through a simple google search and a lengthy process of sifting through hundreds of photographers. Sending out tons of emails hoping someone was available, all we received were automated replies with tons of informational packets. However when we heard back from Rita we knew it was an instant match. She was not only the fastest to reply, but at no point did she allow there to be blanks in our planning. She instantly had date options and times, a location in mind, and beautiful dress options for the shoot just in case we didn t have a dress or we wanted more options! Not to mention the most important thing to us above all, she was just as excited for us and our first maternity shoot as we were. After a traumatic experience with a previous photographer for our wedding day my husband and I were so nervous to share such a special moment with another photographer but Rita was beyond anything we could ve asked for. The day of the shoot Rita constantly checked to be sure every detail was in place from hair to posture to hand placement on my baby belly haha! She even went the extra mile to get me changed into her other dresses just so I had some variety to choose from and see what we thought was most flattering!! Rita not only delivered phenomenal customer service and quality photos but she made the experience something my husband can look back on and be grateful for. That is absolutely priceless for us. Rita was BEYOND amazing from the very moment I inquired about a newborn photoshoot for my baby boy all the way down to the end of our photoshoot! She pays attention to every little detail and makes sure you and your baby feel as comfortable as possible. My baby was super rowdy and fighting sleep but Rita was able to soothe him and get the most beautiful pictures in the process. I know what you are thinking - here is your gift - your baby and you want to figure out how to capture this once in a lifetime occasion. Let this review be a guide for what I learned as I went through the process - is the best I can do for others in our position. *Quality - is a huge thing - you want someone who really - I MEAN REALLY knows the baby game. For 2 hours... non stop Rita labored over our son to make sure all was perfect. Poses, camera angles, lighting- trust me hard work when you see it. *Details Matter- YES you want someone who is extremely detailed oriented, because there is not direction to be given. The subject, well is a sleep most of the time. You want someone with the tools and the knowledge to make it perfect. Rita has an extraordinary set up, pillows, lights, props (Most of which she has made to make sure all of the colors matched) temperature, calming items like a great white noise makers, a changing station (YES) where she actually took over and changed your baby, snacks for mom/dad and waters. It was be a long process. ALL OF THE DETAILS cared for. Professional attention to paperwork and digital delivery - from the moment we started to work with Rita, all communication was efficient, digital and executed simply. Contract, signatures, payments, photo proofs, selections, review. All seamless, all digital, all worked perfect. Why so important you ask? trust I have never - I mean EVER have been this sleep deprived- having all of this sorted for you - is just magnificent. Also for sending to the fams (ours is all over the place) this is just a great way to transact. When we started, we though - lets make a decision on quality of photographs seemed reasonable enough of a criteria. I now would advice, Yes portfolio has to match you style/look you are looking for. With the 5 start service we got from Rita we now know its about everything. I showed up to my new born session and from the beginning Rita was so welcoming and sweet (she even helped me take off my car seat since this new momma had no idea how ) The room we did pictures in was all set up so perfect with a heater and white noise for my baby to be comfortable and relaxed. Rita was AMAZING! We had a few things come up and did not get scheduling finalized before baby but she was so great and squeezed us in super last minute after his birth. He was awake for the first half of the shoot and she was super patient with him. We ended up with a ton of outfits and poses that I didn t think we d be able to with him not sleeping straight through. I also had my 4 year old with me and she was so sweet to him and had snacks and water for him as well. On top of all of that the turn around time was crazy fast - we didn t have to wait a month for photos. Book with her guys!

After browsing Rita s online portfolio (Instagram), I knew I wanted to have her as my newborn photographer. Her work is absolutely stunning! Rita was really welcoming and I felt comfortable with her and her handling my baby. I showed her a couple of poses and outfits I liked from her portfolio and she made it happened. I had newborn photos done by Rita and it was a wonderful experience for this first-time mom and baby girl. Rita made the entire process easy and fun. When we arrived, she already had multiple color backdrop options and outfits based on what I had told her when she asked. That was so convenient for me because it can be creatively paralyzing for me to have to choose. And, she was open to any tweaks I had once on set. She has so many adorable options in her studio! What i was the most comfortable with is how engaged she kept my son through out the photoshoot. She has all the props and outfits for the pictures, all you do is show up with your baby and get some adorable photos. We got some gorgeous family photos as well. Honestly, I only wish I had Rita take photos of all of my children. I cannot believe how courteous, professional, kind, and sensitive to my child s needs and my needs during this whole experience. We took our three week old for newborn photographs and Rita knew how to keep her calm between poses. We had an amazing time working with Rita. The love for what she does shows on every little detail. She has amazing props and gorgeous handmade outfits that she prepares and runs through with you before starting the session. Her studio and house are clean and inviting! She even had cookies, water and toys separated for our 15 month old toddler so that he could keep himself entertained while she was busy with our newborn. Her patience is out of this world! Our newborn arrived wide awake and since he s still only breastfed she waited while he ate and got himself full enough to sleep. Not once did I feel rushed to use a formula or a bottle on him (which happened at my oldest session when he was a newborn with a different photographer). Her patience and love for kids showed even more when our 15 month old simply refused to take pictures with his brother. She spent time getting him comfortable and getting him to give us the cutest most mischievous smiles thoroughly showing off his sassy personality. Last but not least, once we were done with our session she suggested we feed our newborn right there and then so he wouldn t go home hungry, again not rushing us to supplement or use a bottle on him. That same day she sent us two sneak previews of her edited work, the next day she uploaded a gallery so that we could choose our favorite pictures (hard work with so many amazing choices), and once chosen the turnaround for the final GORGEOUS pictures was super quick as well. This has been the best decision ever, I was so worried that, at 9weeks how could we capture all the little poses of our baby boy. But, Rita was fabulous, very patient, warm and sweet. She had a beautiful setup at her house, which was clean and welcoming. She never was reluctant to change diapers, clothes or even feed my baby boy to make him comfortable. We found Rita while attempting to find someone who would be able to take pictures of our little one at a reasonable price. Ritas prices were average but the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Photography is noticeably her passion and with babies/children even moreso. She was fully equipped with a plethora of props and little outfits to accommodate so many different tastes and styles. Amazing photos! Definitely worth the money and the 45 minute drive I had to make. I spent a lot of time looking at photographers before deciding on Rita. Working with Rita was a fantastic experience from start to finish. My newborn was not easy during the shoot and Rita was incredibly patient and caring. She soothed my baby and was very gentle. Rita is one in a million! She has a personality that can light up a room... heck a whole building! Being late in my pregnancy I felt extremely self-conscious and like a gigantic whale. I wasnt confident in the decision to go through and shoot our maternity/family session but I am SO glad that I did. I would have regretted not scheduling a session with her! Rita is amazing. She knows all the good spots and takes her photography really seriously. She scopes out the locations ahead of time to make sure the light is perfect. I loved her as a photographer for all these reasons. But what I REALLY loved was how good she was with my kid. My toddler is going through a shy phase where she is afraid of all new adults but she LOVED Rita. Right away. It was so sweet. Some people just click with little kids and Rita is one of them. Personally I was looking for more than that and little did I know I was going to find it with Rita K Wilder photography. She took our newborn pictures and she was steps ahead of any of my questions. I spent months looking for a newborn photographer and was only impressed when I came upon Ritas portfolio. She showed so much tenderness and patience with my little one and has a warm and inviting environment in her studio that made my whole family feel comfortable. Rita captures the most beautiful pictures you can imagine!! She is an absolute delight to work with and her passion and love for photography is evident in everything she does. She has done newborn, family and children photos for us (both indoor and outdoor) and was so patient and persistent, which is not always easy to do with little ones who are running around. I highly recommend reaching out Rita if you want a experience thatll put a smile on your face, not only when youre working with her, but every time afterwards when you look at the memories she captured!

Rita is hands-down THE BEST! She has photographed so many milestones for my family. She first shot family photos and my son s six month photos, and from there, I trusted her with all of our milestones. Family photos, baby milestones, maternity, newborn, and most recently, a mommy and me session. Rita is kind, amazing with kids, and truly takes her time and has a great attention to detail. Her turnaround time is unbelievable, and she never delivers anything that isn t top quality. One experience with Rita, and you ll have a go-to photographer!
