Charming little dive diner that is the epitome of a throw back. Came in with high standards for the experience since it was so highly rated here, but was unfortunately let down. Eggs and French toast were bland, but the ham and pancakes were decent. Our waitress was slow but overwhelmed by her tables, while others were surprisingly snappy at their customers. Overall we spent $24 for 2 breakfast plates and coffee, and I cant see where the high rating came from.

I went to this location today. It was the worst experience. The waitress a blonde older lady with a ponytail was not good. We waited over 10 minutes for a cold sandwhich. Then she gave us our ticket to pay immediately. The white couple behind us came, ordered they hot food and received it within 5 mins. Then the couple complains about the order, she tells then Ill bring you a new order and comp their food. I then ask the waitress for a container to, it took her forever to bring it. While our meal came I asked her dor extra napkins, she had a attitude. Clearly this establishment is not ise to people of color. We paid and left. I will never go here again and anyone I know Ill let them know. Although this lady is a minority she was racist towards us, and was serving us.

Long time diner, with long time reputation and the food is down home and done right! Ive been a fan for YEARS. They have GREAT pies! Feels like a small town diner, and you get called honey! Love this place. Really good home style cooking with a large array of vegetables for sides. Chicken fried chicken and the Fried Catfish are my favorites. Wall murals are a bit amateurish and the rest of the furnishings look a bit tired - but who cares? The wait staff is great and we almost always can walk right in and sit down. Our go to place for when we re really hungry!

We had the absolute best food and service at Mamas! Here for the firefighters bowling tournament and tried this place. Everyone had something different and everything was delicious! I had the homemade beef stew and I complimented the chef because I havent had beef stew that Google since my mom passed. Love this place! Excellent service too, we were attended fabulously throughout our time there. Loved it so much we went back the next day too! We wishe we had Mamas Daughters Diner in Austin Tx.

I love the roast beef. Usually get the sandwich for lunch. It comes with dill pickle slices so I add them to the sandwich. If I m really hungry, I get the dinner with mashed potatoes, yellow squash casserole, and toss salad. Large portions for a Senior, but the servers are great about giving us to- go boxes. The hot rolls and corn muffins are so good we sometimes order 6 to go. Servers know our names and bring coffee as soon as we are seated if it s morning. Customers help open doors for us when we use canes or rollator. Parking: I have handicap plates and usually can find a spot near the door or just across the drive way. Wheelchair accessibility: Servers move tables if necessary to make room for wheelchairs, rollators, walkers.

Food was good, although the ham and tomatoes on my ham and egg sandwich were a bit to thick that I wasn t able to take a bite from, everything else was good, Pancakes were fluffy and scrumptious! January 2024: Lewisville location of well known local icon eatery keeps up the family standards. Food was good, served hot, and fast. Staff always works hard to check on everybody. Storefront building on a cold rainy day was warm but still a bit drafty. NOT a reason to avoid, just be aware and come anyway. Definitely worthy of weekly visits, or maybe more as prices are very good for portions and quality in the current economy. You wont leave still hungry or with an empty wallet.

The flavor of my waffle was bland they should try adding almond or vanilla extract. My friend said her breakfast was just ok. Service was good.

Man I love this place for breakfast. You have to try the bacon omelette. The first time I stopped in I did not think I would like it so much. Its just a diner. And tuen the food came out and itdid not look like much. Its not all super dressed up. But I challange you to get a better one.
