It was our first time dining in this restaurant and our family was greeted warmly. Food came out fresh, hot and fast. We ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and the portion size was huge! The chicken teriyaki was grilled to perfection, and I especially love that they use chicken thighs (reminded me of Japanese grilled chicken teriyaki) We order the tempura appetizer and that was delicious, shrimp inside was generous and has crispy crust! Would highly recommend to everyone!

Very clean and the food was delicious! We tried the chicken teriyaki, the spicy chicken/gyoza combo, the chicken yakisoba, the Texan sushi roll and two fountain drinks. My girls loved their food so much they asked to go back the next day! The only thing is it s a little on the pricey side. Our family of 4 paid a little over $84.00 for those items with a tip.

I unfortunately live in McKinney so this place is a bit of a hike. The food is amazing, one of the workers asked me to try the 206 roll, and now its a regular purchase for me. Had I not been encouraged, fruit and sushi didnt sound like it mixed. My goodness, it is delicious though. Ive been several times now and had the pleasure of meeting Julia and she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Ive taken different groups of my friends and they have enjoyed it as well. we end up sharing food because we all want to try each others picks. Sushi is awesome, Teriyaki is chicken is awesome. one of these days, I need to try the spring rolls, and some other plates. I love going to 206! I m lucky because it is literally down the street from me. Every time I want good food and sushi, I go here. My favorite picks are the Seattle Roll and the Garlic Parmesan Edamame, which is a must for me. Julia, the owner, is so sweet and welcoming to everyone, and is always smiling. She s gotten to know my face, from how often I go, and she always makes sure to say hi when she sees me. They have slowly been adding to their restaurant and now have games available to play on their new, outside, gated patio. Parking is pretty easy, there are plenty of spots in the small plaza. You won t regret a trip here and I can bet you will be back for more. Come check it out for yourself and enjoy your whole experience like I have!

My husband and I have had a hard time finding very good Asian food near us. 206 Luster grill was fantastic when we went. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The portions on the food are very large so we chose to split an entree in order to try multiple items on the menu. They also deliver which made us super excited, so we can have this at home as well. We will be eating here again. The service was also wonderful and quick, for such incredible tastes.

Since moving to Dallas from Seattle, we have been missing our Seattle style teryaki! We got this recommendation from another Seattlite and came with high hopes ..and it exceeded our expectations!!! We almost didn t order sushi, thinking how good could sushi at a teryaki place be .. but again, we ordered sushi and it was some of the best sushi we have ever had! The teryaki chicken is perfection and the portion was very generous!!! The owner was sooo incredibly kind and gracious and her sweet family came running in after school to say hi! For the Seattle locals, the owners are actually from Seattle, so you know they know what s up when it comes to Teryaki! The atmosphere was such a great vibe and it was quite literally the cleanest Teryaki shop I have ever been to!!! We will return again and again! I found the food to be somewhat expensive, with prices starting at **$15** and a meal of fried rice, chicken thigh, short rib, and salad costing **$29**. The portion sizes were small, and the prices remained the same for lunch and dinner. While the short rib was tough, it was flavorful, and the chicken was tasty. Other nearby places offer lower prices for similar quality food. TERIYAKI HEAVEN!! Growing up in Seattle and recently moving to the area a few years ago I have searched far and wide for proper teriyaki! THIS IS IT!!! Came here for first time today. I was enjoying my yakisoba when I pulled a hair about 6 inches long from the food. I politely asked for refund because of it. There was still about 90% of the food left. Not sure who the lady was but she comes from the back telling me she will give me a refund but nobody has that color hair there. I explained to her that it came from inside the food and not on the top. I am bald and my wife has brunette hair. The hair was blonde or grey. She got an attitude with me because I wanted a refund. I even waited after other customers were away from the register as to not make a scene. She comes back with a loud voice telling me I will give you a refund but this isn t our fault. Will never go back to this place if this is how you treat customer. I advise people not to go here either, unless you like to be treated like dirt. They need to get their management under control. Edit: you did not give me a full refund!! You gave me a refund for the plate but not the appetizer, which we didn t eat because we were so disgusted!!

As I m in the top 10% of Google reviewers, I like to think my review carries some weight. My wife and I were here at 2:00pm today, waiting for my daughter and son-in-law; it was her birthday, we were taking them out, and the restaurant was her recommendation. I had the chicken katsu, and my wife had the aloha roll. Both were absolutely delicious. Before my guests arrived, a rude couple complained about a hair in their food and got a refund. We were at the table directly across from the register and witnessed the entire incident. There was never anything said that was rude or disrespectful by any of the staff, only the customer. They were clearly in it for the free food aka refund. After they left, I asked to see the hair, which the staff had put into a zip-lock baggie. It was clearly that guy s beard hair that he either plucked or it fell out. We all had a good laugh about their threats to provide a bad review, and their obvious made-up indignation to the very polite and respectful staff. Such people are the bane of respectable reviewers and the businesses they frequent. I see that they did indeed make good on their threat (both of them) to leave bad reviews. I hope that my counter review and integrity as a respected reviewer will offset their outrageous claims. That food was great, the atmosphere is clean and pleasant, and the staff were extremely helpful, gracious, courteous and enthusiastic. I will go back. Great food, better people.

The Chicken Yakisoba here is actually amazing. Seasoned to perfection. It s not too salty which is a big thing I look for when eating out. The seasoning in the batter on the katsu is the best I ve ever had and I ve been eating katsu my entire life. The overall atmosphere and service was just as good as the food too. Very homey vibes. I went to this restaurant for the first time and I got to teriyaki chicken which everybody said it was good. I got the fried rice. The rice was overcooked and gummy The meat was chopped up so small you couldn t identify what it was. The best thing that they had was the pot stickers and the sushi fingers were small I won t be going back again.

Recently visited 201 Luster Grill in The Colony and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the great service set the tone for our lunch. Now, lets talk about the food a genuine highlight! The shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy, not too oily, and definitely my personal favorite, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating. The edamame was fresh and flavorful, also meriting a 5-star rating, and the sushi with mango took my taste buds on an unexpectedly delicious journey, blending sweet and savory to perfection. The lunch special offered great value and did not disappoint in taste or presentation, easily a 5-star choice. The only item that fell slightly short was the zucchini, which was good but not as remarkable as the rest, thus a 4-star rating from me. Overall, 201 Luster Grill serves up a winning combination of excellent service, great ambiance, and mouth-watering dishes. A big shoutout to Richard and the entire team for making this dining experience memorable. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for top-notch food in The Colony!

Took our sushi loving girls because the reviews were so great and oh my did they deliver. It was a little pricey, but once they brought the GIANT plate of fried rice out we understood why! Definitely worth the price, absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing. We will absolutely be back!

I am writing this review as I finish eating, clearly I could not wait to rave about how amazing the food was! This was my first time coming to 206 Luster Grill and the experience was wonderful. Everyone was very kind and helpful, we had a large menu to select from and went with some of the most popular dishes recommended to us by what seems to be one the owners. He was super kind, attentive, and willing to explain each dish. We ordered a combo with Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu, The Texan Roll, and Gyozas. Super recommended, hidden gem!

Cannot brag enough about how great 206 Luster Grill is. Every plate I ve tried is great although I cannot go away from their spicy chicken teriyaki. It is by far my favorite I ve ever tried anywhere. Their salad + dressing is an excellent compliment that tastes great every single time. The staff couldn t be more caring and welcoming. This is the place I recommend when people come to the DFW area from out of town and that will not change! Give it a shot and you won t regret it.

Tried this with a group of 5 people. Ordered simple things. My roll didnt come out until everyone was completely finished with their hot food. About 15 minutes. My roll was TERRIBLE! It had a bad fishy taste and the raw fish was minced and mixed with water and who knows what else. It was absolutely not fresh. It was very expensive too. $16 for a bad tasting roll when I can go to Edoko or Ra sushi for the same price with excellent service and even better atmosphere. The chicken teriyaki was very good and rice and salad was plentiful on the plate and tasty...but it was cold. This is why they got the two stars instead of 1 star. I told them there was no sweet tea, but noone filled it. Nice hostess and possibly owner, but then I see a guy in the kitchen eating straight from a pan of a meal for some customer he was cooking for. He just kept reaching in and eating pieces of food with his hands then would come back upfront chewing away and asking if you needed anything. The California and Avocado rolls were very dainty and nothing at all impressive. To top it off,, I poured some teriyaki sauce into a clean black dish and their were short pieces of hair in it! I cleaned another black dish very well thinking maybe it was the dish. Still, hair all in the teriyaki sauces that they provide on thr table. We did not enjoy our visit in the least. $40 for cold chicken teriyaki and a bad unfresh fishy tasting sushi roll. No, no, no.

My wife and I stopped in after a trip to NFM, the food was incredible. The chicken Katsu was easily the best we have ever had and perfectly cooked, and the yakisoba was also excellent. Portion sizes are very generous and you can easily make two meals from an entree. The staff are very friendly as well. Parking: Dozens of parking spaces, it is located in a large strip mall type of area.

206 Luster Grill is an amazing place to eat, relax, and recharge. You are greeted with a smile and welcome as to enter. The food is light and fresh and served in an incredible presentation. Start with an appetizer of Garlic and Parmesan Edamame or Eggrole or Dumplings. There are many Sushi rolls to choose from and all well please your palate. All of the sauces are made daily.

Updated march 24. Place is still amazing Tried this place for the first time tonight. Wasnt sure what to expect but this place was recommended by a neighbor on facebook. Place was actually had amazing food. Great presentation as well. The gentleman working at the counter and the women in the kitchen seemed very passionate about their food. It was just 2 of us tonight eating. We had chicken fried rice ( came with salad), Teriyaki chicken ( came with salad and very delicious white rice) and a shrimp tempura sushi roll. It was almost a cross between chinese and that amazing rice you get at Jinebeh. Everything had great taste and very fresh. Even the salad was very good. A+++++ will repeat

Excellent food, Spectacular Service, and relaxing Ambiance! Great location off of Josey and Windhaven! Plenty of parking, and welcoming atmosphere! It s fast casual, with a huge menu that s split by apps, entrees, combos, sushi, sides, and drinks! It s a bit overwhelming but the server was extremely friendly and helpful! I went with the most popular item: Combo of Teriyaki Chicken and Chicken Katsu (fried chicken), steamed rice and salad! The portion was large- easily shareable if you re not super hungry ;-) The grilled chicken teriyaki was perfect!! It a slight crunch and a sweet flavor. And the Katsu was super delicious, crunchy, and perfectly cut into bit sized pieces! The salad was also tasty and provided a good balance to the meal! Overall I loved the food and I will be back to try their other items!

I was just looking for something to eat after work one day and randomly found this place. I ordered the 206 Luster Roll, it was suggested by the sweetest woman who rang up my order. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn t busy when we ordered but by the time we left it was packed. Met the owner and she was fantastic. No kids menu but the portions are huge so my three kids shared the chicken teriyaki dish and we had leftovers. I had the Salmon Poke Bowl and that was chef s kiss. We ll definitely be back.

All the reviews are pretty accurate. This place makes fantastic food, portions are large, and the staff is super friendly. Wend around 3:30 in the afternoon. Owner took our order let us know the portions were generous, and she was not kidding! Was perfect and so big we had to take home almost two full rolls of soosh! lol sushi for real was so good! Wife s poke bowl rarest g great (had to collect hubby tax!)
