Had to get a water heater replaced, Steven was quick to diagnose the problem and then Ian and Lee had the new one installed quickly even after having to work around a few hitches due to the originals failure and work to remove it to fix the water damage.

I wouldn t use these people. Before installing my water heater the guy dropped it outside and then claimed it never fell. But I have the video from my camera. Not to mention the water heater is dented and has red scratches from hitting the brick of my home. They installed my water heater and left tons of insulation in between the drain pan and water heater. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD. They also didn t add the insulation to the lines properly. They removed a valve to my water heater that would allow the water to be cutoff to my home in case the water heater went out. I ve called and emailed but after 2 weeks of trying to contact them I haven t received a call. Please stay away from this company.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience with Mr Rooter. The scheduler, Brittany, was very pleasant and friendly. We had no problem setting up our appointment and she was accomodating and worked to get us in... however, when we asked to communicate with our tech and the manager once we had a problem, she was not solution focused nor caring. Im unsure whether the manager or the tech ever received our message, but we never received a return call after 3 attempts. The tech, Josh, was articulate, but did not seem to know what he was doing and reported in error that a leak had been ongoing which caused our insurance claim to not be approved. It was an abrupt burst and our ceiling was raining in 3 places. He said he was going to talk to his supervisor and get a good price for us and call back with the quote and referrals for an a/c tech and remediation. We never heard back and were left stranded to pick up the pieces and figure out ourselves how to repair or call another company. VERY disappointed... they dont seem like they actually want to be in the plumbing business unless it is a simple, easy fix.

Edited from 1 Star to 3 Stars. See update after original review. Had l faucet and stoppage issues filed with my home warranty (AHS). Rob came out on the 21st after photographing the faucets, said the snake auger he had was too small for the stoppage and would be back the following day. No calls or followup so I placed a message inquiring about the stoppage issue late Friday. Today (following Monday), I am notified that the faucets have arrived and will be done Thursday. I ask about the stoppage issue and am told it would have to wait until the faucets are done. One unsuccessful and two successful calls to the home warranty (AHS) has not provided any earlier appointments. Disappointed in the contractor and home warranty. If you ever have to have Mr. Rooter come out, make sure its in writing for situations like mine. #mrrooter #ahs #poorcustomerservice UPDATE: So, Rob shows up Thursday with one faucet of the two needed. With more reasons on why he wanted to come back the following Saturday with the other faucet. At this point, I am so done with this guy knowing that on the third attempt, AHS grants a replacement plumber more easily. He asked if Sunday is ok but he eventually agreed to Saturday. No notifications or followup calls so I call Mr Rooter asking on wheres Rob. They take the message. Rob calls me back soon afterwards and said that he had some family emergency and that Larry would be out in an hour. This is where, the extra stars are added. Larry came in and started his work and und unlike Rob, no over explaining or trying to hustle extra services. He did an excellent job so if you do have use Mr. Rooter at this location, request Larry.

Great experience. I rent a house and was assigned Mr. Rooter Plumbing through AHS by my leasing company. Once assigned I was contacted promptly. Communication was great and they showed up during the time frames provided and sent me a text when on the way to be sure I would be home. I did not have to be the middle person to discuss payment etc. Every person I encountered was kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I will use them again should I need plumbing needs in the future.

I had a poor experience with Mr Rooter Plumbing. The young man that showed up was extremely courteous. I was busy and did not pay too much attention to his presence as he went to look at my water heater. It simply is not heating the water appropriately. I have AHS to cover the water heater and he said I would have an out of pocket expense of $1200 on top of the coverage to replace the WH. He wants to up date all the valves and connections even though they are not worn. This is crazy I only want the water heater diagnosed of which he did not do just said replace it as it is covered and then presented me with additional parts that are not covered as my expense. No diagnosis as to your regulator is out, you have a gas leak, your valves are not working something anything just my out of pocket. I felt like I was at a Dr office and here comes these cost that are out of this world for a shutoff valve $200, replace my brass flex pipe with PVC $195, dispose of heater $200, replace gas line new $175, with mine in perfect shape in fact all of these items are in excellent shape. I was a maintenance man for several years for a couple of high rise buildings and did not see the reason for these changes. I did not realize what he had written till after he left never even placed the coat of the water heater on the estimate . I don t understand where is the integrity we should have with workmanship. These items require a certified plumber so as the insurance does not default but this is beyond belief. I replaced this water heater in 2007 put my old one to be picked up by our trash service. I just thought I should use my AHS insurance and now this . Unbelievable the entire job should take about 2 hrs. Why must we try and gouge every customer. Honesty no price on it. Sorry for the poor review, but this is bad.

THE WORST. The plumber was called out for a stopped toilet. He came out to the house, DIDNT EVEN GO INSIDE. I would assume when you call a plumber, they would go into the bathroom and use a plunger or something. Nope, he said he was coming back with a camera. He came back a couple days later, and said Nope, my camera is too big. It s a septic issue. My septic was pumped out and inspected 2 days before Mr. Rooter even went out. My septic is fine. HOW DID HE DIAGNOSE IT AS A SEPTIC ISSUE WITHOUT EVEN GOING INTO THE BATHROOM? I ve tried calling him, calling the main office asking to speak to a supervisor to explain. Nothing. Radio silence. Charged me $100 for literally nothing.

Always receive great service from this company. Nothing but trust the past couple of years with everyone that works there. Robert and Rease recently fixed our leak that caused mold damage within our home. Both of them were informative and cool to work with, and they got our copper pipe repaired in a short amount of time. Worse company when it comes to customer service. They replaced a water heater through AHS and had us waiting on the inspector for half a day. They called the inspection for the wrong date twice! I called asking to speak to their manager or supervisor about 5 times to see what what s going on but no one ever called back. It doesn t sound like they care. I will definitely not allow them to work in my home again.

There should be commonsense for a service company to be courteous to get more referral services. There was a Mr. Rooter trust tailgating me on Great Wood Blvd Sugar Land this morning. Not sure he was late for an appointment or what, but this action was not good for public relation and may pose a liability risk for Mr. Rooter company as well.

This Company came out through AHS(run from them first) the Technician Garry looked at the problem and told me he would send it over to AHS? My Toilet was flushed and a piece of porcelin came off the back resulting in a flooded bathroom. He never told me he thought it was a problem from bring snaked? But he wrote that dishonest report and AHS denied my claim. All this was done without my knowledge. Im just waiting for them to repair my toilet. My biggest issue is why did Garry make this lie up? Thats very horrible and I would never recommend them to my home. Do Better by people ugh.

I m a new home owner and this was my first experience with having to hire a plumbing service. I will never use another company other than Mr. Rooter. It was less than 24hrs for them to make it to my house to fix the issue. The plumber who arrived was Steven and he is the main reason for this review. His service was quick, efficient, and very professional. He took the time to actually explain what he was doing and what all needed to be done to fix the issue. When I say he went above and beyond, he truly did. 10/10 recommend Mr. Rooter s plumbing and Mr. Steven with excellent service!

This is our 3rd time using Mr. Rooter. Gary was our technician each time. He was always professional, kind, on time and fixed the problems perfectly. What I like about Gary is he doesnt mind answering my questions and concerns. Gary installed 4 Moen faucets, a tub spout, shower head and bidet. Mr. Rooter plumbing was 1st referred to us through AHS and they have earned our repect as a A+ Company. We now call Mr. Rooter for all our plumbing neededs because we know the job will be done fast and right. Gary thanks for educating me on Moen lifetime warranty. Robert helped us out in Pearland, Texas. Not only did he fix the leak in my shower....he helped me with a broken shower head. He felt bad that we had it dead wrong, and spent his own time adjusting and installing my mess up. He soaked all of the trim components and adjusted the water temperature for us as well and added major value to the simple shower leak that he was fixing. 5 stars... his is the best plumber that I have ever had help us. If I could give these people, no stars, they would get just that. I had to use Mr. Rooter through my American home shield warranty company. The first time I had to use them was when my hot water heater went out they said it was gonna be an extra $1000 because of all the modifications that had to be made since they didnt make my particular style hot water heater anymore. The only thing that American home shield would cover is the hot water heater itself and I would have to come up with the rest out of my pocket. I got a second opinion that I paid for and that technician laughed and said everything that they were going to charge you for actually comes with the hot water heater that is available at Home Depot. I managed to get American home shield to pay for the hot water heater. I guess this guy felt sorry for me so he only charged me for the installation of the new one. Fast forward to today. My main shower has very little hot water pressure. When I called American home shield for a service call, they sent out Mr. Rooter again. The technician came out and was here all of 10 minutes. The only thing he did was take the handle off of the shower and said, Im gonna have to go to the warehouse and see if I can find a replacement faucet because I think the cartridge is bad. he said to give him a couple of days. The next day I received an email from American home shield that they were denying my service repairs. When the technician left here he did not write anything down. He just said he was going to try to find a replacement faucet. But what he turned into American home shield was totally different, and said that he recommends that, the pipes need to be replaced. So of course they denied it. when I tried to call Mr. Rooter and question where the discrepancy came in. Autumn answered the phone and was very rude would not hear me out and just kept telling me I needed to call my warranty company. I called American home shield and told them again that this is unacceptable! This is not what the technician told me when he left my house and now he submitted something different to you all. So according to American shield, Mr. Rooter closed out my service request because I did not accept the technicians recommendations so therefore I am out $100 with them, I called and I spoke with Sarah at Mr Rooter and she said she would have the supervisor call me back. Ive waited all day and the supervisor has not called me. I called again and asked to speak to Sarah and They told me she was on the phone and I asked for a return call and I have yet to hear back from Sarah. This is unacceptable and so unprofessional and if theres two things that I hate more in this world and that is a liar and a thief and that is what this company is! UPDATE: I did get a second opinion through AHS and when the second company came out they actually took the time to go into my attic and check the hot water heater. He not only took the handle of but also took off the plate to look behind the shower wall and check things out. He submitted his repair request and I m currently waiting for a new faucet!

Crooks. Make sure if they run a camera they arent showing you pre recorded footage from another job. They came out while I was at work told my wife we had roots in our mainline and wanted 7900 to fix it. I dug the line up when I got home and there were no roots at all it was baby wipes and tampons from the previous owner. Could have been cleared with a water jet for 1000 or less. Called the owner of the shop and he told me to go screw myself. CROOKS

No one notified me that the plumber was not coming which is very unprofessional. I do understand if he was not able to come. I do not understand, no one notified me. On Oct 2,2023 A guy by the name of Galindo came into our home through AHS. He told us that the water heater needed to be replaced as well as the pipes. And also told us it would cost us $6,200.00 to replace it. He never left any paperwork explaining what needs to be done. We called the company to get paperwork as well as AHS. Nothing, so now the company told AHS that the water heater just need to be lit. This Guy lied he never lit anything. Hell he didn t even touch the water heater. & he also never went in our attic to check the water heater. He looked at it from the door. He told me that AHS wouldn t pay anything. We would have to pay the full price. I believe he was trying to get over on us cause he gave my husband his phone number to call him to get the repairs done. Was referred to this company , John came out and knew excatly what my problem was. Main broken sewer pipe to my house, due to the ground being super dry because of the heat and it not raining. Come out in a timely manner gave me a very reasonable price, answered all my questions, walked me through the whole process of them tunneling under my house to fix the pipe. Got started immediately toke 2days to fix , and one day to inspect and fill in the hole. All the techs and crew were nice and helpfully, friendly answered any questions I had for them. I will definitely be using them again and referring them as well.

The technician Richard was very unprofessional. He did not engage with me to find out what happened. He went out to speak to AHS and told them that the broken valve wasn t normal wear and tear so AHS denied coverage. I believe that he is racist and intentionally stated this so that I would have to pay him $599.99 which he stated was the price of the valve. He stated that it wasn t him but put the blame on AHS. He then changed his diagnoses and told AHS to go with wear and tear. He also wrote it down on the form. He contradicted himself and changed his diagnosis. I didn t force him to do so, and he is not credible. A true professional would stand on his original diagnosis. AHS still denied the valve replacement and he stated that he will have to cut a hole in my wall to access the pipes, cut the pipes, and cap off the plumbing. Instead of replacing the valve, I now have cut pipes with no water flow at all to my shower. Now that has to be fixed along with the valve, and Sheetrock repair. He made the situation worse. I will never recommend Mr Rooter Plumbing. AHS agreed to cover the valve replacement due to him changing his diagnosis and an appointment was scheduled with Mr Rooter Plumbing to come back out to repair the problem. The technician went out of the way to call AHS to get them to deny the coverage. Richard from Mr Rooter Plumbing stated that valves just don t break and he s never seen it in his entire career. He told AHS that excessive force had to be used. My home is almost 18 years old. How is that not normally wear and tear. He went out of the way to get my claim denied. In my home he kept apologizing and telling me that I should have the Platinum Plan with AHS and I wouldn t have this issue because they wouldn t blink and eye and pay for everything 100%.

Initially my appt was not scheduled until next week but the rep with Mr. Rooter Plumbing contacted me about a cancellation and so they were able to come today.. how awesome is that?! I am seriously blown away by the professionalism, knowledge, caring and overall house call experience with Richard and his son. They both put my mind at ease regarding the process and the plan for repairs. He even looked at my toilet and gave advice on how to DIY that repair. Wow, talk about going above and beyond. After purchasing a home in League City, we immediately encountered sewage backing up into all of the downstairs tubs and showers in the house. Called in a service request (at 10pm) via the warranty with American Home Shield who passed the request onto Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Mr. Rooter Plumbing promptly contacted us first thing the next morning and John and his assistant (sorry I don t remember his name) were at our house by 11am. They quickly diagnosed our issue as being a collapsed main sewer line under our driveway before it reached the city side of the sewer. John called the issue into American Home Shield, who quickly denied the repair because the issue was outside the footprint of the house and therefore was not covered by our policy. Despite this we went ahead and agreed to have Mr. Rooter Plumbing perform the repair. So John and his crew were at our house the next morning at 9am, at which time they very accurately mapped out where the hole in our driveway needed to be, cut the concrete, and dug down to sewer pipe. They replaced the faulty pipe and called out the city inspector who came out the next morning and approved the repair. The following day the dig crew returned, filled in the hole and repaired the concrete, including rebar tied into the existing slab. The crew then hung around for a couple more hours to tend to the concrete, which resulted in a repair that is very consistent with the rest of the driveway. All told from start to finish the total repair took 3 days, however the all important sewer line was functioning in a bit over a day after Mr Rooter Plumbing contacted us. I m always wary of home service companies and contractors, but in the case of Mr. Rooter Plumbing, specifically John and his crew (not to mention John s brother who also came out and who was super nice), everything they did from the diagnosis of the issue to the explanation, schedule and execution of the repair, was exactly as promised, which in my opinion is a rarity these days. Bottom line, the American Home Shield warranty was completely worthless, but Mr. Rooter Plumbing came thru for us with extremely quick, accurate and honest service.

Went with this company because my home warranty sent them out. They came out to repair the plumbing leak. The actual plumber is difficult to get in contact with I dont even know why they give you the number if they dont respond to it. The actual business doesnt return call either. I was house sitting for my daughter in Clear Lake. While I was there, I accidentally backed into the hose bib by the garage. When I got the main water line turned off, which was quite an ordeal, since I had no idea where the cut off was, and really DID NOT want to stick my hand in that opening, LOL, I called Mr. Rooter and told them what I had done, and that I had no water for the house until the hose bib was repaired. I called that morning around 10:00 am and the hose bib was repaired by 4:00 pm that afternoon. Larry was the technician that came out. He was very pleasant and professional. I was assigned this company by American Home Shield and was pretty worried due to the negative reviews I have seen here. However, my experiences were positive. Mr Rooter has been to my home twice through AHS. In May 2022 I had a leak in behind my shower wall that caused some water damage to the wall. Steven from Mr Rooter came in the time scheduled and fixed the leak issue (damaged line and shower handle I believe). Just last week I put in another plumbing requests to repair some faucets and a cold water valve. Jonathan with Mr Rooter came out and diagnosed the issue and repaired my issues in a timely manner. Both Jonathan and Steven were on time, personable and willing to answer any questions I had. They were also open about what they could and couldnt do under the AHS warranty and what options I had to not end up paying extra.

One star cause I cant give negative! Mr Rooter Plumbing of League City was called out through a warranty claim through American Home Shield. Water heater went out on Christmas night, Mr Rooter came out 4 days later, 12/29. Technician immediately looks at my water heater and advised its not repairable and would put in a claim to AHS for a full replacement. We then look at the electrical receptable, which looks to be fried, which is what lead to the blown out water heater. He advised he would let AHS know and Mr Rooter would take care of the problem. I confirmed multiple times that I would not need to let AHS know, he confirmed, MRP would take care of it. The next day, I get a note from AHS that they would be covering the heater but not the $480 charges MRP submitted, who which was $180 for an electrical component. I tried calling MRP 3 times that Friday requesting clarification but got ZERO call backs. I called 3 more times Saturday with the same result. I finally get a hold of someone Monday morning and they advised those were there prices, sorry. After 3 days of dealing with AHS, AHS decided to cover $200 of the costs, seeing how I have a wife and 2 young kids, I agreed to the other charges just so I could get hot water. The appointment was scheduled for 1/6, but wouldnt you know it, they cancelled. Came out Saturday, the 7th. Tech pulls up and advised he was there to install the new water heater. I asked if he was going to change out the electrical receptable first and he claimed he new nothing out it. After looking at it, claimed he could do it, would just need to run to Home Depot to get the new part. The other tech started to drain the water heater, they then left for HD. Oh and prior to draining, asked if he needed a stool or ladders, said no, and proceeded to just stand on my cabinets. 20 min later, I hear running water, the tech disconnected the hot water line before ensuring it was fully drained from the house, so it was flowing out into my utility room, which lead to flowing under my wall into the kitchen and under my kitchen cabinets. I tried calling the tech, no answer. Finally texted me back and advised they would not be installing the water heater. I sent pics of the mess and he advised I could reconnect if I wanted but they were advised not to come back. Tried calling the main line 3 times, no call back. Needless to say, this plumber is unprofessional, unresponsive, and lacks the experience to run a professional business. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! And I am yet to have HOT WATER!

My water heater went out. I booked through American Home Shield, but I would use Mr. Rooter again. They replaced my water heater. Two young men showed up, Ray and Drew. They were polite and used manners. I have a hurt foot so cant go up in the attic to inspect at this time, but Ray asked for a broom and he swept and cleaned up the rust trail through the house from the bad water heater that they carried out. I did not inspect further until they were gone, and the bath tub they used to drain the nasty water from the old unit is filthy. They did not clean it out. When I went outside, there was big and small pieces of rust all over my front porch and down the sidewalk. If you have a water heater replacement, I suggest you check these things prior to the tech leaving if you want them to clean up.

He determinedmy guest bathroom sink leak was not at my P trap but a worn washer at the sink juncture above and replaced it. Sink is fine now! Hello, i usually dont write reviews but unfortunately would like to share my experience with Mr. Rooter this week as it wasted two of my days for their League City location. I have scheduled an appointment thru home warranty to unclog a kitchen sink. Mr. Josh showed up, took the p-trap down, ran a 20 foot manual snake and said its grease and need to charge 895 USD to run jetter thru the roof vent (FYI - if he looked closer there was not even roof vent drain attached to the kitchen sink as we had pressure valve installed). After notifying warranty company and Mr. Rooter about sink not draining, he came back two days later, pulled to driveway and after asking if its the same sink, he left. Zero effort. When calling Mr. Rooter dispatch, they said theres no one to escalate as they dont have a manager and my only option is to pay 895 to use the jetter. I used another local plumber that came the same day, used a PROFESSIONAL tools like electric snake and unclogged the sink in 15 minutes. I was very disappointed in this particular technician approach as I had Mr. Rooter done some work in the past (out of past two technicians one was excellent and fixed a leaking toilet; one had to come 3 times to fix one single dripping faucet).

We have a used camper that we moved into not long ago and our black tank quit draining. Larry came out to try and fix it for me. He tried everything to get the clog to move. He was knowledgeable in the situation and tried many different things to get the clog moving. It was unsuccessful but i was charged a very cheap amount and told sorry many times. If you receive work on a camper just know that if they have to snake from the outside they do not have pumps and it will pour all over the ground under the camper. Long story in short, it took this plumbing company more than 20 days, and many hassles, to install a wrong part on the water heater, which voids the water heater warranty and damaged the burner. Below is the detail. I contacted the MRP through my home warranty company, American Home Shield (AHS), for a water heater issue at one of my rental properties, on May 28th. On May 28th, Friday, my tenant reported that their A.O. Smith water heater s pilot light couldnt stay on. I requested the service to AHS. Soon I received the text message saying MRP is assigned to that work order and MRP would contact me for schedule. However, no calls during that following weekend and Monday, so I called them on May 31st to follow up. Then they scheduled a plumber to come on June 1st, Tuesday. On June 1st, Tuesday, a plumber came and left quickly, saying that it is an easy fix but he needed to order some parts. He scheduled to come back on June 8th. On June 7th, Monday, MRP contacted my tenant and said they had to postpone the schedule till next week since they could not get the part. I contacted AHS. I told them if they could not solve this issue, I would have to find some other plumbers to get this job done. AHS agents could not get hold of MRP at first either but eventually they agreed to come on June 11th, Friday. On June 11th, Friday, MRP came around 3PM but brought a wrong part. They said that they would come back on Tuesday, June 15th. On June 15th, Tuesday, neither my tenant nor I could get hold of MRP in the morning. I finally got talk to the front desk lady around noon time and I was told that a technician was at supply store searching for the part at that moment and she would let me know whether the technician could find the part or not in 30 minutes. After about 1 hour, the front desk lady called me and told me that they found the part and would be at my rental property first thing tomorrow morning , since they were already fully booked up that day. On June 16th, Wednesday, MRP technician finally came at 12:36 PM (yeah, first thing tomorrow morning ) and installed a 3rd party control valve of Bradford White brand. On June 17th, Thursday morning, my tenant woke up to no hot water again. I contacted AHS and they said that I could not change to another plumbing company unless MRP give them permission, even after MRP could not fix the problem in the past 20 days. I had to keep waiting on MRP to send technician back sometime next week. No certainty on which day they can come. On June 18th, Friday, I spent almost whole day talking to AHS trying to get this problem solved but I cant. In the evening I finally decided to contact another plumber and his first question was how old is this water heater? My tenant took a picture of the label on the water heater and it turned out that the water heater is less than one year old! The MRP technician could have contacted the A.O. Smith warranty department for parts on day1 (June 1st)! On June 19th, Saturday, I called A.O. Smith and described the problem, the customer service created a work order, promised the parts would be shipped out on Monday June 21st and delivered on Wednesday June 23rd. Why it took so long for MRP to get a wrong part? On June 23rd, Wednesday, my tenant received the parts in the morning as expected. I contacted A.O. Smith local vendor to install the parts. They came fast in the afternoon. Immediately the plumber noticed that MRP installed a wrong control valve, which voids the manufacturer warranty. Also, the wrong control valve damaged the burner. As a result, we must replace the burner, which is not covered by the manufacturer since it is MRP s fault to put on a wrong part. I was also informed that wrong control valve may cause fire. I called MRP and hope them to take responsibility of all the mess. An employee took my call and said he would call me back, but he did not. On June 24th, Thursday, the owner of MRP, John, called me back. He refused to consider this is their fault.

Our appointment time on the day of service was listed between 10a - 2p. The tech finally called at 2:30p to say that hed be at our home by 3p. He didnt show up until 4:30. Then, he realized he didnt have the correct tools and/or materials for the job and had to leave for 45m - 1 hour to get them and get back to our home. After fixing the leak, we noticed that the faucet closest to the leak has lost over half its pressure. Im now in the process of trying to get them to come back out to fix their mistake, but so far, theyre dodging my calls and I cant talk to anyone in charge to discuss how theyre going to fix this. A toddler with a plastic wrench would do better work than Mr. Rooter. Please take your business somewhere else if you value your sanity.

What a joke of a company. It has been MONTHS since they had a guy come look at the problems, he started blabbering on about the parts he will need to order but how outdated they are and difficult it will be to find them, yeah okay bud. They never called back, my parts have been on order for the last 2 months, anytime I call they say they will call me back, they never do. what a waste of a company. How they are even still in business is beyond me.

We were assigned this company through American home shield. With our experience this company has to be ripping off people. I did check the reviews before andrew showed up and saw this company with many complaints but tried go keep an open mind. He introduces himself when the door is opened by saying whats the problem red flag should have never let him in. Our shower head is leaking very minor just replacing the valve and he said he isnt doing that he does not get paid for that. We proceed to call his supervisor and tell him we are he walks out the door and leaves. We explained our concerns with the office she says she will have a supervisor call us. 3 hours later im writing this review because i received no call. Im sure they dont care this is my way to vent and maybe help someone see that being open minded with this company is a mistake. woman tells me andrew the plumber is her best guy.

Simply put, this is a terrible company. They were scheduled to replace a toilet in my house on 12-24-2020. I had already bought another toilet, and I had all of the supplies in my garage ready to install. The technician showed up around 11am, said that he had to fix an emergency leak in someone else s attic, but that another technician would call me and come out later that day to replace my toilet. By 3:00pm, I still had not heard from anyone. I called the company, relayed this information to receptionist, and I was assured that Larry or someone else would contact me. I never received a call back. I contacted the receptionist again on 12-26-2020 at 10am, and again was told that someone would contact me to install my toilet. No phone call. As of today, 12-27-2020, I have not received any phone calls, emails, texts, or anything from this company. Further, they were going to charge me $299 in order to install our toilet. I have a plumber that came out today and finally installed my new toilet for $125.00. With all of this being said, my recommendation is for everyone to avoid this company at all costs.

This company was sent to me via American Home Shield warranty. I just moved into the house two months ago, the kitchen sink was draining slow. The plumber Steven shows up and didnt even try putting a drain snake down to clear the stoppage. Instead he sent in a report to AHS saying its due to excessive grease beyond normal wear and tear. Then he tried to cajole us into paying for his $500 hydro jet scrubbing service which is not covered by the warranty. He knew our service request would be denied by AHS if he claims its beyond normal wear and tear. So thats exactly what he did, with no proof of camera inspection or anything. Dont use these people, they know how to play this game with the warranty companies. All they do is file a report to make sure you get denied service and then try to take more money for themselves. I got the drain cleared by a local plumber, didnt need hydro scrubbing jet or anything. Just a regular drain snake and only took 15 min.

*Updated from - 1 to 3 stars* ___ I was wrong on this and have updated my rating appropriately. After replacing the faucet I can see how the tech arrived at the decision he made. His conclusion was still incorrect but I can no longer fault him based on what I saw when I disassembled the faucet. I still wish they had engaged in a conversation about it but I cannot fault them. ___ Terrible service. Was a warranty call. Tech came out to look at leaking faucet, spent a minute under the sink with a flashlight and decided that it wasnt normal wear and tear and wouldnt be covered. No rational explanation other than I must have twisted it somehow and broken it. Didnt disassemble it to check for other causes. Lazy and incompetent. Wouldnt recommend.

I have a home warranty and they allow me to choose my provider. Ive used Mr. Rooter before with good results so this time was no exception. My garbage disposal started the bottom-side death leak so I placed a service request on Monday afternoon. Within an hour Mr. Rooter called me back stating they could have a technician at my house as soon as the next morning! Ricky and Drew showed up exactly when they were supposed to and jumped right to work. Im currently working from home so they completed my garbage disposal replacement quietly and efficiently. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes! My kitchen was clean and they were professional and friendly! This will always be my go-to plumbing repair company, even if I dont have a home warranty. I can count on them to be punctual, professional, efficient and fairly priced. Thanks again!

BEWARE, DO NOT USE THEM . was a warranty call , very unprofessional . They use the warranty to get in the door , so they can rack up the repair charges. The tech made no attempt to clean his mess up. he didnt take measures to remove the toilet carefully , which caused damage to the flange , and BAM $700 repair . at that point you are at their mercy and dont have a choice because you need it fixed

I was sent this company through American Home Shield, my home warranty provider. I put the request in on September 27, 2020, and the technician came out on September 30th. He told me that he needed to order a part but he d be back the next week to install it. Today is October 10, 2020, and the technician has not come back at all. I have called the plumbing company 10 TIMES, and they keep giving me the runaround. I need the plumbing fixed so that I can close up the wall, but no one will return my call, or tell me when the work will be done. I am going to have to get it done myself. This company is absolutely worthless.

Mr Rooter prides themselves looking out for their communities being open on nights, weekends, and holidays. After camping twice on hold for a total of 26 minutes I was told no business in south Houston are open on nights and weekends. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with the time I wasted.

I came home to a flooded kitchen - called Mr. Rooter and they were at the house within an hour. Promptly informed me that the water heater needed to be replaced. IT WAS A MESS! Water had come through the ceiling. They quickly replaced the water heater and had me back going again. My house is a 1972 and all of my pipes were rusted and almost completely closed due to rust and Mr. Rooter came in replaced my pipes and got it up to code. The pressure is way better now and the work is quality. They we re here in no time and got me back going. I have several rent house s and they will be the first call. Paid 125.00 through american home shield to have Mr. Rooter plumbing come out and diagnose the problem, which was fine. Our water heater needed to be replaced. He spent three minutes in attic to tell us that. He quoted the job would be done in 2-3 days. Water heater was finally replaced after 9 days. I received no updates. I had to call and annoy them to get updates. When techs finally showed up to replace water heater, 8 days later, I was told the wrong water heater was ordered. They stated they had to come back another day to get the correct water heater. When the techs arrived the next day I looked over the work that I paid for and they had charged me for a drip pan. $125.00. Went to look in attic as I didn t notice them bring in a new drip pan and in fact it wasn t replaced. It was the same old rusty broken water pan that leaked. When I discussed this before they left one tech said well it seems to hold the water. I said well I paid already for a new pan and I want a new pan. The only reason old pan held is because my husband put putty on it to hold until they arrived. He again stated that if I really wanted him to he could and I again stated that I have paid for it. This really got me really angry. They would have charged me an extra 125.00 for a drip pan that wasn t replaced. If you have no choice but to be contracted with them please go behind them and check their work. Verify things were changed/ corrected/replaced, or you could just be paying for no reason!

Paid $75 Deductible through American Homeshield to sub contract Mr. Rooter Plumbing Scam: Martin, with Mr. Rooter arrived & used a camera underneath the home to try & diagnose the leak issue in the laundry room. He didnt do anything else to figure out the cause of the leak. His repair quote was for $8,500 & when he was told that seemed high for the repair, he said the best he could do it for was $6,500 if we did everything today . He immediately referred a water damage company to access the damage at no charge. That company said water damage was $2,200. We called another reputable plumber to get a second opinion & they immediately identified a cracked pipe in the P Trap and repaired all for $201. They also stated there was no major water damage. MR. Rooter conducted unethical business practices & provided fraudulent information.
