The park is beautiful, mosquitoes are bad, bathroom is like a glorified outhouse with no running water. No where to wash hands if utilizing facility. Flowers and park are kept up.

Nice and clean playground areas. After my kids got tired from playing, we walked around looking at gigantic ships while the sun set! Very beautiful day. However, there is no sinks and soap in the bathrooms unfortunately. So make sure to bring your own hand sanitize with you if you plan to visit this park. Also, today we found a dead snake close to the playground areas. The playground fence is less than 10 ft away from water so WATCH OUT FOR YOUR KIDS....

Real calm and relaxed place. Plenty of shade from really nice trees. Right near the water so you can fish or watch the ships come in and out. I think its geared more towards relaxing then to have fun but both are managable.

Park is nice and with a nice view, but the restrooms are extremely dangerous! The toilets are just big holes! A small child could easily fall through to who knows where! Even a thin adult could fit through these toilets. DO NOT LET A CHILD GO TO THESE RESTROOMS UNATTENDED!! The toilets should be remodeled. Until then there should be signs outside saying that children shouldnt use these toilets without supervision.

Came here in July after visiting San Jacinto and eating at Monument Inn. Even though it was over 100 degrees it was a great place for a walk and getting some air. Spent some time on the pier and got to see quite a few dolphins and watching ships go by in the channel. I was the only person there which was great having the place to myself. Great information on Juan Seguin and of the area in the park. If youre in the area visiting San Jacinto, eating at the Inn, or crossing the ferry, make sure you stop by and enjoy the scenery of these historical grounds.

This place is the OLD hang out where you could sit at one of the few picnic tables and watch the ships and vessels pass by within 300 feet of you. NOW! Its a beautiful park with multiple tables, free parking and a really nice play park for small children! Still has an awesome view of the ships and vessels passing thru the enfamous Houston Ship Channel, one of the busiest ports in the World! A MUST see!

Juan Seguin Park was a great place to visit. Breezy when I was here so it felt nice. Lynchburg Ferry with the Monument Inn across the street, Battleship Texas (temporarily closed) and San Jac Momument down the street within eyesight. From here you can see channel, the landing, the Inn, the top of the monument and some of the battleship. Four cool things to see and visit on a day trip. So much history here. Let us not forget about those who served and died in these battles since tomorrow is Memorial Day. May they rest in peace. What you gave to us can never be repaid in full. You are appreciated. Playground: Small playground areas for the kids with really soft flooring. Toilets: Restroom on property. The hole is DEEP Dog-friendliness: Pick up YOUR dogs PooP! Barbecue: No grills allowed.

Nice place with a lot of historical information around the area to read about the ship channel and Juan Seguin. No cooking, fishing or crabbing allowed yet there were two groups of people fishing wit all their stuff on the picnic tables and on the sidewalk. Plenty of places to sit and watch the ships go by. We had eaten across the street at the monument Inn and went over and walked around a bit and learned some history and enjoyed the evening breeze.

Last visited 3-18-2022. This is a very nice park with wonderful views of the water!! On the floor of the small gazebo is a life-size map of the bays. The playground is a reasonable size and in great condition! There are covered picnic tables. The parking and areas are handicap accessible. This Park is right across from The Monument Inn restaurant and beside the ferry. I also noticed a smart eco-design in how the playground benches are weighted down using rocks and shells.

Very beautiful, clean, serene little park on the water. A nice place to watch ships coming in and out of the Port of Houston. My only complaint is that some of the walking path is very uneven with dangerously textured tiles. I found it to be treacherous. Someone could easily trip on the raised surfaces and get hurt.

Half of it is off-limits, their elevator is broken down so the full experience isnt possible, but theyre still charging full price. At the very least they could cut the cost even if its by $5 bucks, give or take a buck or two. Charging full price for a partial experience just doesnt seem fair to anyone. But with the upper half closed off, there really wasnt that much to see except for a few antique guns, paintings, official documents, letters, jewelry & the stories behind it all. And a step-by-step of how they built the place. Thats it. The staff were polite & genuinely seemed to enjoy their job though. We realized when we were leaving that there is a trail thats around 3 miles but with the heat, well save that for next time & hopefully theyll have the entire building open to the public.

The park is nice! Think it closes to early tho. The Texas Battleship needs to be repaired and dry docked in park somehow. When they spoke of moving it somewhere else last year it was sad, its been in the park for such a long time. We parked in front of the Monument Inn by Ferry Landing. Lots of trash and debris from ship channel litter the small beach. Really sad how people litter and destroy our earth.
