I arrived on Labor Day and needed 3 meals, It took a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes to not only be able to order my food but also to have it prepared and corrected. Their younger waiting staff is not new but acts like it. I witnessed 3 occasions where this waiting staff ran or walked in front of other staff without warning. My meals were delicious. But given the hassle of nearly one and a half hours, was it worth it? Kinda. 6.5/10 (Messed up 2 of the 3 meals and forgot a few sides, like my sour cream they so happily charged) Wont come back unless Im in a pinch. Its not worth the hassle on its busy days.

It was a great choice! The wait staff was fast and our waitress constantly checked on us even though it was a super busy labor day weekend lunch! Our wait was just around 20 minutes but they got us in quick and were organized with it! We got hit with chips and salse as soon as we sat. Got a small queso, yum! We ordered a full quesadilla, added rice and beans on the side. It was perfect, hot melted cheese and crispy Tortilla. Flavor was great! Definitely going back! Side note: I forgot my sunglasses, had to drive back, and as soon as I walked in, a young staff member held them in the air and smiled. I was so happy!

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. It was very busy, but the service was excellent. Even though they were busy, the waiter was attentive to us, and the manager even worked the floor. The food is classic TexMex, and excellent for group gatherings. We recommend the horchata.

Stood at the register waiting to be attended while workers were standing in front of me talking. I was asked if I wanted pico de gallo and I asked for something spicier. Her response (speaking softly and not clearly) was cilantro and onions? . lol I clarified spicier and she shrugged and repeated cilantro and onions. I then asked do you have red salsa and she said yes so I said okay I ll take that. Either this place doesn t have salsas or this person didn t feel like providing service. Idk. Each taco was almost $5 too.

Its not as good as it used to be. I used to go a lot, but it has changed and not in a good way. The food is not as good. I dont know if they changed the recipe or what, but it dose not taste the same, and its a pain to pay the ticket having to wait for the waitress who served you to check you out at the register. You and up having to stand there 10-15 minutes waiting for your waitress to get done serving other people before you can check out. Its not a very good system. This is not the restaurants fault, but its very cramped in the building all the time they should really think about getting rid of the patio and extending the building.

Despite that they didnt know what a Stevens Special was or even heard of it, our server Erica made sure we were able to order something similar while suggesting an alternative. The Queso was actually better than we expected for a Chile Con Queso combination. It wasnt as spicy as most. As you seen in the submitted picture post of the supreme nachos, you better bring an appetite or youll have leftovers. I also suggest the Fiesta Plate (all beef or cheese) as you get a small variety of favorites as a meal combination. You also better arrive early to avoid the lunch rush and breakfast is served all day. Outside of the one server making sure our salsa bowl didnt remain empty to our wonderful server Erica making sure our needs were met and no one was dissatisfied or thirsty, we enjoyed our 1st visit here with the possibility of a return.

No idea on how the food tastes. I came into the restaurant and stood next to the please wait to be seated sign . After a few minutes I was acknowledged and told I can sit anywhere. I chose my table and sat down. A few minutes later a lady brings me some chips. I don t know how long I sat waiting for a waiter or waitress but the two families that came after me were already being served. Heard this was a good place to eat. I guess I ll never know.

Ordered menudo & Barbacoa tacos. Garcias takes the time to cut into small pieces which we like. the barbacoa tacos are not greasy & the barbacoa does not soak your tortilla. At most places i have to discard the greasy tortilla & move my barbacoa to a fresh tortilla by the time i get home. these & especially the homemade corn tortilla were delicious Update: first time here in the evening, amazing dinners, beer, & a great selection of deserts. We used to like this place. Not any more. Breakfast tacos are overpriced ($4.20 each plus $1.20 to add an extra item). This would be high even if they were good. They are not. Not anymore anyways. The last few times we got tacos there they were dry, tough tortillas and just not very good. Not sure if they changed owners or cooks or just got lazy because they were pretty busy most of the time. Only good thing I have to say is that the employees are always very nice.

If you like this place is really going to depends how you like your food. If you like very basic, plane food you will probably like it. Like tortilla, meat, onions, thats it. With a side of re-fried beans and Mexican rice. No heat or spice. The primary seasoning flavor is salt. If that sounds like you, this is your place. If you are like me and want peppers with the fajitas or Pico and lettuce or ever cheese on the tacos, or would prefer black beans, if you like a little taste of cumin or cayan, you are going to be very disappointed by this place and feel like you could have poured this out of the can at home yourself instead of going out. Im not certain, but I would guess the salsa for the chips is just Ortega, but its been a long time since Ive bought jared Sala because of how meh it is. All that said the service is really good and the place was full. I do think I have friends that would genuinely like this place, but for me, Im looking for more flavor and complexity out of my food if Im paying to eat out.

Neighborhood, sit-down tex-mex at its finest. The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and the food is good. I (almost) always order the special which rotates regularly and is usually under $10 including an iced tea. The charro beans are as good as any pinto beans Ive had. Generally, I set Coopers in Llano as the pinto bar; these meet them. Two notes: 1. Beer and wine only, so margaritas are not made with tequila. 2. Tilapia tacos... this isnt a seafood restaurant.

First of all, the staff of the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The wait staff explained the dishes very well, making us aware of the ingredients (to ensure people with certain allergies and intolerances can choose to deduct/alternate from their orders). The food was really good - all of the items we ordered and they were fresh. Although we went there towards the closing time, the staff understood it and they were fine having us finish off our foods before we left. We gave them a tip for being so helpful. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and warm to let customers dine in with their loved ones/family/friends. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Kyle or have a craving for Tex-Mex and feel adventurous driving all the way to Kyle from San Marcos/Buda/your location. Parking: Theres ample amount of parking spaces for the restaurant customers.

Very disappointed with my recent experience. I have been a loyal customer since this location opened - at one time, many years ago, I used to know the owner and have always been treated very well by the GM, Oscar, in years past. I called to order a To-Go order and was kept on hold long enough that I was able to drive from my home all the way to the restaurant - told the girl with the over long nails - typically a no-no in the sanitation-centric restaurant environment - that I was there and would come in to order. Fair enough - they are busy. No problem. After placing my order for a bowl of soup and two chalupas, I was presented a bill of $32.00! Mind you, Kyle is Mexican restaurant heavy and with all the new high quality competition we ve acquired, I have many choices. I called the shift manager, Christina, over and told her my hold experience and the fact that it seemed very excessive to charge $32.00 for a bowl of soup and two chalupas! In light of the fact that because it took so long to be able to order, that I d now have to wait and that I really didn t feel $4.50 for chips and salsa was fair and that for customer good will they could surely afford an order of chips and salsa while I waited and enjoyed a Diet Coke that I was also charged several dollars for! It was all just way too much and the fact that the shift manager was so unbending and actually decided to check the phone and inform me that there had been no phone call because she had looked ! Sad to say, this very long term customer is a customer no longer. As they say, voting with my dollar - who teaches these people their customer service skills?

We decided to eat breakfast here today. We had been here a few times. This place tends to be hit or miss. Today, it was a miss. The service was lackluster. We had ordered breakfast tacos. The the only thing good about the taco was the tortilla. The salsa was more tomato and garlic than anything else. I expected a tad bit more heat with it. The eggs were not dried out like you find at other Mexican restaurants. Our Server disappeared after he brought us our check. We went to go pay and the manager who was running the register was very rude and unprofessional. He was like, You need to pay your server. If your server did not disappear and never come back to my table, maybe I would have paid him directly. The manager then in a rude tone told me to move over as he was ringing up other customers. If you are going to serve your customers like this and the food being just meh, I am happy to take my business elsewhere.

One of the better places in Kyle! Food is pretty good. A lot of good flavors, but they can be a bit stingy with like things the amount of cheese on a quesadilla, or salsa and pico. Service is fast and friendly, but forgetful. Dont bother asking for a lemon or lime for beer or tea. Depending on the time and day, parking can be tight as its at the back of a sometimes busy shopping center. Overall pretty clean place, and not crazy atmosphere. Good for a quick lunch or dinner if youre in the neighborhood.

Ive visited this place a few times over the years. The food is good but -- the service is just incredibly friendly and attentive. The fajita is good but the portions are small, not worth 16 dollars for a fajita plate. You are left hungry even after eating. A taco is more than 5 dollars. The service is alittle slow due to short staff. Also they take too long to get your food out. Salsas are not good they need salt.

The patio is back open and Im super happy about it. It looks great with all new wood, nice new tables, and a fresh blue paint job. Will be dining here more often again. The shrimp enchiladas with poblano sauce are still amazing. The beans and rice mixed into some fresh flour tortillas is delicious. If the salsa isnt hot enough for you, ask for the breakfast salsa, its much spicier. They also have a salsa verde that is just pepper and onions, and its really good. Service is attentive and respectful. The waitresses were kind and friendly. I really enjoyed my lunch here and will be back again and again.
