David Routzon messed up my divorce so bad that he knew better than to send me a final bill. He lost me at minimum $100,000 in the divorce and another $25,000 in post divorce stuff I had to pay for. I cannot recommend his services based on my experience.

I researched a local firm to help with a will and estate planning. I decided on Routzon Law and setup an appointment. Everyone was very nice, professional and interested in making our experience the best. They were very helpful in explaining everything and making sure me and my wife understood all the different aspects like trusts, living wills, asset distribution and beneficiaries. They answered many questions with patience and understanding and delivered a solution that makes us feel comfortable and guarantees our estate planning! This attorney is trying to remove my post telling google i was not a client. Well i was opposing client. He caused his client and I over $50,000 worth of additional unnecessary charges, fees, costs. Why, cuz it was a divorce and a property sale that had over $300k worth of profit, and this attorney did 10% of the work; opposite counsel did 90%. He just rode the ride and collected more and more. Basically legalized theft. Dont trust this idiot. After I threatened to file a BAR violation is when he finally stopped and signed off for final which took several weeks & multiple edits and reviews cuz of his ignorance.

If youre looking for an attorney that wont rack up the charges, david is NOT the attorney for you. I was billed 45 dollars for being left a voicemail among several small miscellaneous charges. They drag their feet with cases and they truly dont care. I was pressured to pay a lump sum amount to finish my case and then was told if I paid it fast some of the charges would drop. If you have METLIFE do not use. They will go over your time. Shady vibes all the way. Two thumbs down.

Please read this before hiring David Routzon law firm. I had hired David Routzon Law firm for a child modification back in 2nd quarter of 2020. Plus/minus three months when the retainer was paid, communication was was ok, not great, it was just ok. He did get me a court hearing in summer of 2020 but after court hearing communication was absolutely horrendous. I would call and no answer received. I left messages and did not receive a call back. There was a few times I was able get a hold of him. He did actually gave me BAAAAD advice on paying more child support than what my California court order stated. I kept asking this law firm to send the request for a second court hearing to close out my case. They never followed with my case. I went to different lawyer and they were able to pull my case transcripts. Case transcripts listed my case had been dropped which I was never aware, David Routzon law firm never notified me of my case had been dropped. I did my research of different options that can be done . I tried to calling the Routzon Firm to request partial retainer refund with a phone call/voice message/ email again no response. The other option is calling the Texas State Bar association/agency and file a complaint against David Routzon law firm.

I have MetLife Insurance and that is how I found Mr. Routzon. I also had to file in Wise Co. as this is where I live. I filed for my divorce in January and my divorce was finalized in May. Granted my Divorce was non contested & there were no children involved, but there was other issues that could have been contested but were not. Do to the Covid things were done a little non traditionally and it was a learning experience for everyone. The only issue I had was trying to get some emails through. I had to use my work email instead of my private email to take care of that situation. Other than that I had no problems at all.

I was the respondent in a case where David represented the petitioner. While many clients feel the attorneys dont due much and just that attorneys just take their money, they have now idea how much is cost to file a suit with the county clerk, how much it cost to do the research and pay the legal team who drafts your petitioner, ect, Its definitely not free. David came on strong and I felt defeated and even questioned my own decisions as a parent. He was so legally aggressive and it took me having two attorneys to take him on. Granted, I won, when asked for a family attorney I always recommend David . So trust them, when his office says that they are working one it.

My family chose this practice because of their association with MetLife and was a recommended firm through my fathers workplace benefits. We paid them all fees upfront. We were told by another firm that a case like ours would be wrapped up within a month. We started this process in September 2020 and here we are in March 2021 unable to get in contact with anybody from the office. We have sent multiple emails and called multiple times with no response. Whenever we do get in contact with the office we are told that the lawyers are out of office or have left for the day and that they will call us again tomorrow but we never receive a call back. The last communication we have received from any of the lawyers was on November 11 via email stating that the paperwork was filed with the courts and that they would reach out with more information. Again, I called yesterday and I was told that the lawyers had left for the day and they would call me today and have not heard from anyone. We are very unhappy with the communication from this office and the fact that it seems as though they just took our money and pushed us aside.

My cousin ended up losing custody of her daughter to a horrible man. Cost a lot of money we all pitched in to hep her. They don t help people who can t pay nonstop money. Keep asking for more money. I m sure if we had the money to keep giving them our case would have gotten more attention. They knew exactly what my cousin s ex did. Now they are helping that mother accused of the same thing as Chris ex.

Hired them to revise a few documents for my business. Communication was little to none, and it took over 3 weeks longer than they told me it would. I asked a few questions after receiving them back and NEVER got a response. Disappointing.

David is awesome! Hes honest and was upfront from the beginning and charged a flat fee. I came to him not knowing anything about what the process was on a divorce. He met up with me a few times to go over all my concerns and spent hours with me over the phone. He went above and beyond to meet my expectations and deadline. It was my first experience having to deal with a lawyer ....I went to them because a referral by my job place. I was dealing with a situation about Child Support and they told me the could take care of it for $1k....I paid that on the spot, then I gave them all the information I was receiving from the DA office and I made sure to tell them there were some due dates on it. They told me it was not big deal and guess what.....they didnt reach out to the DA office by the due dates and they went and access my accounts, and my direct deposit. They never communicated with me unless I called them and there was always the same excuse we are working on it That started in Sept 2018 and they just reached out in April because of a new paralegal...and wanted to work my case and asking an additional $1k.

Not sure where all the great reviews came from, but I had a horrible experience with David Routzon. If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired him to do some work for my company last year, paid 1/2 of the money down, then had the most horrible time trying to get in contact with him again. I called numerous times, emailed many times, and even stopped by the office to let the staff know that I cannot get a hold of him. He never picked up his phone, never responded to any of my voicemails or emails. He missed the due date to complete the work I paid for, and never delivered what he promised. I lost over $1,000 with this office. Never heard from him again. No apologies. Nothing. Stay far, far away!

David Routzon does a great job at trust, wills and POAs. He can incorporate businesses in a timely manner. We appreciate all that he does and that he does it well. I would recommend David for legal issues for both family and busniess issues.
