Went there to see a friends band. After an hour of no service I went inside to get water for our table and ask for a waitress. She brought six waters and left without taking our food order. She served other tables but never came back to ours. We eventually left and went to Whataburger. Will not be going back.

This place is surprisingly good. I didnt expect it in Jacksonville. I ordered the fish tacos. They were authentic Baja fish tacos with pickled red onion:5/5 but my buddy ordered the Brisket sandwich, it came with a cold bun and was mediocre brisket at best, it was also their special. The patrons at the bar are very friendly. We were there for lunch, 6 people in the establishment,total but waited 19 minutes for service. If you have a typical 30 lunch, it could be a little tight. The craft beer selection is curated and the top shelf liquor seems to be,as well. A small bit good selection of regional favorites. This looks like a great place to be at night. The prices are dictating the clientele, this isnt a dive bar and I hope they dont cater downwards.

This is not just a drinking place. This is our 2nd time to stop when driving through Jacksonville. They have great food, staff, and atmosphere. If your ever driving through Jacksonville, Tx plan to stop or Commerce St. Drafthouse right on Commerce street.

Quaint little joint under the bridge in Old Town Jacksonville, Tx. It s been through numerous different owners over the years. It s hard to give a decent review on this place because it s been through so much. If we could just get an owner to come in and stay and stick with Jacksonville through the thick in through the thin, in sickness, and in health , it would be a lot better.

Walked in, was told to choose a table. Ordered our drinks and food. Got our drinks. Unfortunately, the table we chose ended up being too close to the stage so we moved a table back to make room for the gigs set up. No biggie there. 40 minutes later, no server, no food, no eye contact from anyone in the place. Put 3 dollars on the table for my diet coke and left. FYI, we were the only customers in the place. The good food and great local entertainment doesnt make up for horrible service. If you choose to sit at bar, youre more likely to get attention. But for those of us that dont, dont expect much in the way of checking in or refills or even getting your bill. Shame.

Service is soooooo slow, 1st at the bar and it still took 15 to get a drink. Bartender struggling she needed help. She knew what to do but she needed a barback. No glasses, backed up orders, etc. Servers not taking care of there customers hit and miss job. The band was really good.

Great place to sit outside and have a drink while listening to live music. Love the atmosphere, and the service was good. The food was just ok. My wifes stuffed potato was barely warm and gave her a stomachache. My bangers and mash entrée was ok. The bratwurst was good, but the mashed potatoes and peas were marginal. Neither entrée tasted made-to-order. While the dessert was good, the server told us it was not made in-house and came frozen. She just popped in the microwave. I would go back for drinks and music and pass on the food.

We went here for dinner last night. It wasnt super busy. Took us 15 minutes to get our drinks. 1 of which was a bottled beer. For some reason you have to order a mixed drink off of their menu (they will not stray even if they have the needed alcohols). I wanted a long island iced tea and was told they couldnt make one. About 45 mins to an hr later we finally got our food. We ordered chicken fried steak and it came out with a....honey mustard gravy? Im not real sure what it was, but it wasnt very good. The chicken fried steak itself was good, just wish it wouldve been white gravy. Mashed potatoes reminded me of something you would get from a school cafeteria. Our waiter was friendly, but the slow service, odd choices for mixed drinks, and low quality food make this a place that I wont recommend to anyone

Out of tea. Out of tacos. Finally found something they have and the toast was burnt. They brought me more and I guess they were running out of bread because I got the heel, which would have been fine, except it was burned, too. Slow services made even slower by bringing the wrong order. Sigh. Second chance for this restaurant but never again. It s more of a drinking establishment than a food place.

Great little place tucked away 1 block off of Hwy 79. Very spacious inside with great options for seating outside as well. Live music on the regular and a friendly staff. Plenty of parking and a friendly staff. Pro s of my food order- Good sized burger that was seasoned well. Draft beer selection was more than I expected Con s of my food order- Chips were great size & fried perfectly but no salt or flavor at all (unlike my burger) Raw red onion on burger when the menu stated caramelized onions Order cheese extra but did not happen. Love to have salt/pepper available I will recommend, return & bring friends on my next trip.

We were looking for pet friendly restaurants in Jacksonville TX and we found this hidden gem. We were able to dine inside with our dog under the table. We saw one other couple with their dog there also. We had the chicken fried steak. It was home made, hand battered, with fabulous gravy. We even got serenaded by a live band. Great food and very welcoming atmosphere & staff.

I ve worked at the drafthouse for going on two months now and this is got to be hands down the best job I have ever had. The people here take you in as family and just love you. They lift you up and they WANT you to grow in their business. Almost every job I have had I always dreaded going into my shifts, but here-NEVER I am always ready to go into work knowing I m going to be greeted by excited people ready to make this place go round !! To top it all off no matter how stressful the shift is I NEVER leave in a mad mood. I leave in my car singing my music with the biggest smile on my face READY for my next shift and honestly I don t really want to leave my shifts. Hands down the best job I have ever had.

Good beer selection for east Texas, starting to see one place like this in every town. 12 beers on tap, all decent selections from the east Texas breweries and beyond. Mix of varieties from stout to IPAs to cider. Staff was friendly and helpful, live music was good if youre into that. Prices were pretty typical, but the food was excellent and above what other tap rooms normally serve.

Asian Salmon was a bland horribly overcooked piece of frozen fish. Maybe the cook could read up on how not to ruin Salmon. Potatoes chips were stale. Helpings were small. Food was hot though. Horrible music overly loud. Service was marginal. Waitress in yoga pants was flirting with a customer and ignored my wife who was trying to pay our check. Edit: Owners response accusing me of insulting the musicians is silly since I was referring to the overly loud juke box in the indoor dining area. Also what part of my comment about the staff was rude ? The waitress really did ignore my wife. And yes the salmon was terrible. I would love to have told the waitress about it but she was too busy talking. If the truth hurts bear it, if the shoe fits wear it.

Nice place with a friendly staff. Large variety of beers & a few decent wine options. Hubby had the chicken fried steak, mac & cheese, & fried brussle sprouts. The chicken fried steak was a great piece of very tender meat & a crunchy crust. Appreciate the gravy served on the side thus keeping it crispy. Tasty, creamy mac & cheese. The fried brussle sprouts were interesting with the honey drizzle. I ordered the meat loaf, which is really meat balls. Now, IM SUPER PICKY, but with that said, they were very dry & served luke warm. My side salad was super fresh & I loved their basalmic dressing. The patio area is nice with a covered option & a large grassy area for kids to play & run around. Pet friendly too - so added bonus points! Live music too!! Well be back again!

I had the fish and chips, and LOVED it! The fish was crispy on the outside, and the flesh was firm, flaky, and had the perfect flavor! The fries were wide, curly, and had just the right amount of crisp! They serve beer and wine. I had a sweet white wine, $8 for a small glass. Hubby had a burger. It came with a sourdough type of bun, and he ate every bite. We were there for Cruise at Night, and met some nice people, saw some cool cars, ate good food, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We plan to go back for Cruise at Night regularly. It is every second Tuesday from 6-9, though we will probably only be able to go every other month.

The food came to the table cold. The waitress barely heated it up. My loaded baked potato was hard most likely a couple of days old and wasnt loaded, added pulled pork and it was just as old. My friends meal was a 2 meat plate. The brisket tasted old also. The waitress put the can of coke on top of the glass of ice. Pretty unsanitary if you ask me. The help was more interested in playing the juke box and the drinkers outside than tending to the customers inside. Wouldnt reccomend this place to eat at.

The lunch was good. However when I got the bill my lunch was $2 more than what the menu said. So I asked about it. They said prices had gone up and the menus were out of date but online menu was correct. I looked. Same price as menu and instead of giving the customer a bill to reflect the price advertised she said she would tell the owner.....sorry honey. Your owner just got your tip too.

Walked in on a rainy night, 5 people at tables: 3 at one table, 2 at another. Sat down and 9 minutes later, the bartender came and asked me if I wanted a drink and a menu. She returned quickly with a drink but didn t take my order, so I waited another 7 minutes until I went and asked the bartender if I could place an order. I ordered the CFS - lunch portion. I patiently awaited my food and it arrived in a timely manner, but the waitress put it down and the table and disappeared. I never saw her again the rest of the night. Thing is, she didn t even give me silverware. So I got up, walked over to the kitchen and there was a table full of napkin-wrapped silverware, so I took one. It was good, but small. I got the impression it wasnt homemade though. Got Mac n cheese as a side. It was cold. Not warm or room temperature, but actually COLD. Eventually, the bartender walked by to talk to a friend and I stopped her to ask for my bill. The price listed on the menu for a lunch portion chicken fried steak was $9.00, but she charged me $11. I thought about saying something, but I waited 9 minutes for a waitress just to recognize me. There was no chance I was getting anyone s attention that crazy busy night! It was a pretty bad experience. They lost a customer and that s ok. I m sure they don t need my $.

This is a family owned and operated restaurant. They put every ounce of serving your family as they do their family. The generous food portions are created and cooked to make your dining experience memorable. The band that played the Saturday night we were there was very good. We played pool and had drinks after our dinner. It was busy but everyone seemed to really enjoy an atmosphere where you can bring your family and friends for a wonderful evening. I am from the Tyler area and I would recommend this place even if you have to drive a little to get there!

Just had the fish and chips for lunch and it was heavenly! Perfectly cooked fish in an amazing batter. Everything was delicious! Also enjoyed the Big Chief sandwich on another occasion, so, so good. Great staff and atmosphere, I highly recommend it!

Really not impressed :/ the sweet and unsweet tea both tasted very old and the food was barely okay. I ordered the pulled pork and Mac and cheese sandwich, the pork was so dry and there was barely one bite of Mac and cheese. The pork skins it was served with were the best part but even some of them were chewy like they were stale instead of crunchy. Did not finish my meal and definitely wont be back. Hopefully this was just a bad night for them because the place looks like its well liked by locals

The service was awful, there weren t any waitresses or waiters but one, and he was the manager. There was a small selection of options to choose from and the loaded potatoes my family and I ordered were undercooked. I ordered my potato with sausage, (you can order your potatoes with sausage, brisket, or pulled pork) but the sausage tasted like hotdog meat. Have very low expectations when you go, that might help your experience. I doubt it, though.
