I do wish there was more to see but it was 100% worth the trip regardless! I definitely recommend checking them out!

Not much to do. Quite small and most of the illusions just have to do with mirrors. The tunnel was by far the coolest thing there. One step into the tunnel I thought I was going to But we were in and out in under an hour and we were taking our time. It is acceptable as somewhere to go when you need something to do and have the cash for it, otherwise I would skip

Awesome!! Dont be fooled by the location, or what might look like a small space. Theres super helpful and engaging staff, fun energy, interesting and cool illusions, and concise explanations posted throughout on the science behind the illusions, in English and Spanish! Youll definitely need a charged phone/camera because a lot of the illusions look great in the photos. Depending on how long youd like to engage with the exhibits, you could spend a couple of hours there, as we did! And of course, cute little gift shop to get that puzzle you stumped on for a long time, and asked for help with from three different staff, to keep practicing with so you can freakin solve it yourself! Oh, and free parking, so yeah! Go and have fun messing with your mind

I recently visited the Museum of Illusion in Austin and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing encounter with the assistant manager that negatively impacted my experience. I asked an employee if there was a place to check my friend s stroller, as I had seen information about this online. She kindly informed me that there wasn t, and we proceeded with our visit. However, a short time later, the assistant manager approached me in a way that felt unprofessional and intimidating. Without any greeting or politeness, he demanded that I show him where I found the information about stroller check-in. His tone was rude, and he wouldn t leave until I attempted to find it. As someone who values good customer service, I was shocked by his confrontational approach. He eventually left, but I was left feeling shaken and uncomfortable. Later, I found the information I mentioned, which was included in the email receipt. It says: Strollers are welcome but recommended being checked in. I received it after purchasing tickets, not on the website as I had initially thought. While I was mistaken about where I saw the information, nothing justifies the manner in which the assistant manager addressed me. The museum itself is small but interesting, and it could have been an enjoyable visit. However, the way I was treated by the assistant manager made me feel unsafe and unwelcome. After reading another review describing a similar experience, I felt compelled to share mine as well. Customer service is crucial, and I hope the museum takes this feedback seriously to prevent others from having a similar experience.

You can probably walk the entire thing in a couple of minutes but if you re interacting with each piece, you can be in there way longer! Staff are nearby to help with understanding the illusions and will take pictures for you. 10/10 recommend for a fun date time or just take your kids.

Super friendly staff. My brother booked this for my family and I and the staff was very kind and welcoming, even though we were about 20 minutes late for our scheduled time. The staff inside was so nice, kind, and truly wanted to help us get the right photos. I am in a wheelchair and they would even assist me in and out of my chair or even on the floor to get the perfect shot. It was very fun but it only took us about a half hour once we were inside to go all the way through everything. We did go around 4:15pm on a Sunday so it was quite busy, too.

I think if you really take your time and read each description under the exhibits and really take in the information its pretty cool. However, if you dont plan on doing that its very tiny for the price. The staff is really nice and helpful and very eager to help you take pictures. I think overall the experience was just too short to warrant the cost. I feel like places at the Domain can get away with high prices because lots of people come from out of town. But if you live here you might be scratching your head. If you have a kid, a place like the Thinkery would be much more worth your time.

It s unfair to call this place a museum. The layout is that of a museum but exhibits are treated like rides at a theme park with lines formed in front of them and people helping themselves regardless of lines in most cases. Every exhibit requires personal space to properly experience it and the amount of people prohibits that completely if staff aren t present, which is only two of the exhibits. Although they take reservations, all walk-ins are immediately welcomed which is where the problem starts in my opinion. It feels like a big exhibit at a fair where anyone can come and go as they please, and the exhibits are the babysitters. Per a member of the staff, this is called their weekend experience

A fun experience that is greatly over priced. 2 adult and 2 kid tickets are currently priced at over $100. The museum can take less than an hour to get through (but you can stay and repeat everything as long as you want). $100+ dollars for less than an hour exhibit is not a good value. There are other museums in the area that offer better value for the price. The crowds can ruin the experience.

The number of stops inside is just right, you don t get bored and spend just the right amount of time It is recommended to ask for help from one of the nice associates there if an illusion doesn t make sense at first. They are all very helpful. Follow the footprint sign for camera to get the illusion right. Good luck understanding what the train station stop is all about. All in all a fun and engaging experience. One star for cute Instagram photos but overall, I wouldnt recommend it, especially for the price. This spot also shouldnt be called a museum, as it is more of a collection of photo ops and run of the mill illusions that youve seen on social media for years. So it s cool-ish, especially the rotating tube, but WAY too short for the price. You ve seen everything in 30 m. I d spend my $25 per person elsewhere.

I highly recommend this interactive museum. Arden and Carson went above and beyond showing us how to get the best photos and taking pictures of our group. Alex was also extremely helpful. The Museum of Illusions is a blast for all ages!

Very neat rooms, especially if you re into oddities and strange interactions, but it is small and not worth $60 for two people. Maybe $40, but it is much smaller than it seems and while the exhibits are cool, there aren t a lot of them.

We absolutely loved our visit to the Museum of Illusions Austin! Took our family ages 1 to 66 and they all had so much fun. Great place to take pictures, explore and learn. The staff Herman and Eric are incredibly knowledgeable, polite, friendly and explained each room and activity in a manner that was easy to understand and enjoy. It is hard to find activities that accommodates a family with a large range of ages, from babies, to kids, teens, parents and grandparents. This museum is a great choice for families, friends and couples on a date, I highly recommend it.
