I stayed here on Thursday September 19th. When checking in they ran my card for the $75 incidentals fee, they had to run it twice because they said the 1st time did not hold the charge. After doing this I got a notification from my bank showing 2 charges ran at the same time, one for $75 (correct) and one for $633.68 ( incorrect). I immediately went to the front desk and inquired about it and they said they showed no charge for 633.68 in their system. On Monday I went to my bank and they showed the charge still as pending. One week later (today) I went to the bank and the charge for 633.68 has cleared and the money taken out of my account. The front desk who I ve been in contact with still claims they showed no evidence of this, and I ve called the general manager and left messages, but they will not return my calls about this fraudulent activity.

Rude management, not your typical Aloft stay. Avoid if you can! If you are looking for your usual great Aloft hotel experience, you will not find it here. Aloft touts they are dog-friendly, and normally allow dogs to stay for free, but this one charges a pet fee. We chose to stay here anyway assuming we would have a great experience as we normally have at Aloft locations across the country. Booked via the Marriott app, stated that we were bringing a dog, paid the $25 per day fee, and brought our dog through the front door at check in. I asked the front desk clerk to bring a crib for my 6-month old, and my dog was in the room when they brought it. Not 5 minutes later, the hotel manager calls the room angry, accusing me of hiding our dog, and demanded I come downstairs immediately to pay the pet fee and sign a form. My husband booked the room so I assumed he overlooked paying the fee and I went downstairs to gladly pay. Keep in mind, for 5 years, we have been bringing our dog to Aloft hotels. Called my husband to confirm and he says no, we already paid the pet fee on the app. Awkward! I go downstairs anyway to clarify with the hotel manager and he angrily states he will be charging our card on file the $50 pet fee for our 2-night stay, even though we already paid it on the app, and that I can take it up with my card company for a refund. So rude! Call my husband again because the hotel manager switches up and says I m not allowed to speak to him on the matter (my name was not on the reservation initially), and my husband tells him again that we already paid. Not to mention that the pool is bright green, filthy, and the hotel is run down. We saw another child fall on his face in the lobby from tripping on the loose transition strips between carpet and slab floor. Not dog or kid friendly.

I stayed here for 2 days while my house was getting re-painted. I have stayed at many aloft locations around the country and this is by far the worst one yet. In hindsight, I would have rather stayed at home and inhaled paint fumes than stay at this hotel. The biggest issue is the lack of customer service. The manager here is extremely rude and arrogant. I booked a room on the Marriott app, marked I was bringing a pet, and the app showed there would be a $25 fee per night which I had my card on file to pay. I checked in with my dog and a couple hours later the manager calls the room very angry, claiming they didn t know we had a pet, wanted us to come downstairs immediately. I was not at the hotel at the time so my wife went downstairs but they refused to talk to her because her name wasn t on the reservation . When I got back I showed the manager how I booked on the Marriott app and it showed a pet fee on my charges, and he still acted like they had no idea and implied this was my fault. Other than that, the hotel lacks amenities and the ones they do have are not maintained correctly. 1. We have a 6 month old baby and requested a crib, they brought up a pack and play crib that had no mattress, instead they gave us a few pieces of cardboard wrapped with a blanket to use as a mattress. The cardboard was not stable and seemed dangerous for my son to sleep on so we did not use it and had him sleep in the bed instead. 2. The pool was green and filthy in the middle of the summer when people would actually want to use it I would not stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel last year and had a pleasant experience, so I decided to return. Unfortunately, my recent stay was marred by repeated issues. Despite having completed the dog registration form at check-in, I was constantly stopped by different receptionists who asked for my room number and requested that I fill out the form again. This repeated inconvenience significantly impacted my stay and detracted from the otherwise positive experience I had before. I hope they can address this procedural issue to improve future guests experiences.

They are modern but the halls smell like mildew covered in perfume. When you walk through the halls there is trash and trash bags full of garbage like as if housekeeping started to clean and got distracted and didnt finish. The carpet in the halls needs to be re-stretched. And sometimes the staff can be a little rude, like if you go ask them something they show attitude like they are being inconvenienced. I used to stay here all the time for years due to work travel, and I have requested not to be booked here unless it is absolutely necessary and the Westin and Marriott are full. Edit- I like how the owner said I should bring up concerns immediately. I AM LITERALLY STAYING AT THE HOTEL NOW. And I guess they missed the statement about when you talk to the staff they are rude and act like they are being inconvenienced..... Rooms: The rooms are okay. Nearby activities: There is lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, thanks to its proximity to the Toyota Music Factory. Walkability: There are several fast food places next door to the hotel. Food and drinks: They have a bar and a sundry with breakfast options, but you have to pay for them. Noteworthy details: Dated and kind of dirty

This was a perfectly nice little place to stay. Pros: Newer, stylish, good location. Cons: No drawers in the rooms only shelves (part of the loft feel by design I suppose. ) No restaurant on site although there are a number close by. Owing partly to the design listed above, the ironing board is located in the strangest place in a cubby on the other side of the bed. Very hard to find. If you just want a sort of of nice place to stay for the night with coffee in the lobby, this place is fine. I wouldnt stay here more than a night or two at the most.

DO NOT BOOK! URINE and BLOOD on blankets. I recently stayed at this hotel and encountered a terrible experience. Upon entering my room, I found urine stains on the comforter and mysterious red and brown stains. When I requested a clean blanket, I was told to get it myself. Unacceptable! I emailed the hotel management but received no response. Rooms: Overall, the rooms are sparse and cold. They have a very modern motif. But under the surface, you see a dirtiness. For instance, the shower had an excellent shampoo and conditioner, but the shower fixture was used and gross, and the water smelled like rotten eggs. When I brushed my teeth, my breath smelled worse after brushing. That suits me for some funny quip, but it s true. you will feel like it s an average experience when you walk in but when you look at everything, you ll be disgusted.

This Sunday by chance was horrible and not because of the service but because of the rudeness and disrespectful guest being obnoxious and clearly intoxicated If you going to have big groups like this you should consider having security no one should be on such a hostile environment for trying to do their job the front desk agent had to ask them to quiet down while we waited to be checked in after this all hell broke loose. I had to repeat myself so much I grew annoyed. Please consider your guest and staff safety because this was so unsafe and horrible to see. Full bar in the lobby. Lobby has several chairs and couches. There is no restaurant however hot food can be ordered; the menu is very short and not good. There s a Starbucks, Chipotle, Jimmy John s, McDonald s, and Chicago Pizza located nearby. It s a 20+ minute walk to the Toyota Music Center. There is a shuttle service but it doesn t go to the airport- other than traveling to nearby businesses, it doesn t really have a purpose or set schedule. The elevator is slow but nowhere as slow as the TV remote. It literally takes 5 seconds to change each individual channel!!! The small fitness center was crowded early in the morning. It has a universal weight machine, a couple treadmills, elliptical, bike and dumbbells. Nice place to stay short term but falls short on food and shuttle service.

I also received an email from the Guest Services Manager indicating that my reservation had to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Interestingly, a simple online search reveals that Aloft Las Colinas is still accepting reservations for my original dates, but the price for a room is almost double what I paid two months ago. I caution anyone who books a stay at this hotel - you will want to have a backup plan in case they decide to pull something shady like they did with me.

Ehh.. wasnt terrible but wasnt superb either, hence the 3/5. Everything seemed fairly quiet, even being maybe 150 yds from the freeway. The only irritating noise would have been the neighbors letting their door slam everytime they went in and out. The doors automatically close, and its forceful, so unless you pay attention, itll slam closed. The a/c unit is under a countertop so that side of the room freezes while the other side is comfortable. The bed is pretty comfortable, but the mattress is on a low platform. If you have back issues, just be aware. The shower and toilet is in a separate wet room. Even though there is a curtain, water still gets underneath and goes everywhere. There was a moderate size chunk of porcelain missing from the toilet, the sink drain was slow, the shower gel dispenser was mounted with caulk instead of screws, so that didnt stay on very long. Guess the devil is in the details. Again, not horrible, but not really worth the cost either. I mean, it was clean, felt safe, and was mostly quiet. Guess the basics were covered.

Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. Whoever the night attendants are, they need to be fired. Requested an extra pillow, was told theyd check and call me back. They never called back. Go down to the front desk and find the front desk empty, the lobby is full of people being incredibly loud, screaming. Stood there for a bit till I was approached, the employee was sitting at a table having takeout with some dude. Leaving the front desk of a hotel unattended is absolutely uncalled for with a lobby fully of people, let alone to sit down and have a full meal with someone while youre at work. Pay almost 200$ for a room and cant even get an extra pillow cause for some reason the pillows are locked up. Its a hotel.... Extra pillows should be readily available to anyone. Come down a 2nd time, someone else is at the desk, and this person is doing stuff on the computer, and she tells me shes not even working...oh but shes at the front desk on the front desk computer but shes not working? Its cool, your over weight employee apparently felt her meal was more important than customer service and her job. The walls are thin you hear everyone and all their kids running down the hall, breakfast isnt free, the ac units are loud, their TVs are slower than their staff, all this started cause management didnt wanna give me an extra pillow....if I wouldve gotten it, I probably wouldnt be writing a bad review but here we are. Three stars might be generous. But when it comes to hotels, I already have low expectations. The bed was comfortable and on a weeknight it was quiet. But this place has a lot of design flaws. They re supposedly pet friendly and pets are allowed in the lobby, but nowhere near the dining room area. The only problem is, there s no clear demarcation between the two areas. The hallways were dark and gloomy - it s like they were going for a 1970s contemporary look, and not succeeding, with their dark blue and burnt orange. They didn t have a clock of any sort. So bring your smartphone. The ironing board was definitely subpar. The remote control to the TV didn t work right - at times you could hear sound but the screen was black. My fiancée had to work on it to get it to work right. The shower wouldn t drain properly. And it s like the toilet was designed for someone 3 or 4 ft tall - it probably sat around 10 inches off the floor. But they charge you as though you re staying in a much better place than you actually are. Won t be booking there again

Got to the location at 11:30 PM for a super late check in after driving for 8 hours to get there. Had made reservations the week prior but when I got there, no rooms and they had no back up plan for the screw up. The lady behind the counter was flustered and unable to function with the stress of the situation and had a hard time concentrating while calling other hotels to beg for a room. She stated that no other facility close to the Aloft but she said that there were no rooms. I used my IHG app and found a room within 1/4 mile. Not at all impressed with the place or the staff. Would NOt recommend the hotel.

Front desk was so rude at check in. Like it was a bother that I was there!! Horrible customer service. And there is NOT a restaurant on property. It is very misleading when you are booking. It s actually false advertisement. The internet was not working in the rooms. I had to use my phone as a hot spot. And the outlets in the room do not work. I woke up to a dead phone. I will be checking out a day early and I will NOT stay here again.

They advertise the bar to be open till 2am although it actually closes at 12. Guy at the front desk tried to close it down well before 12 and was very unpleasant and wouldnt stop harassing us as we were trying to get drinks. Bar tender was awesome! The rooms were decent. Wont be coming back again, the rooms arent nice enough for the hassle of the employees.

So I love this property and I also love the staff here I have been staying at this property the last few months due to work let me just say I enjoyed my stay until Saturday evening a bunch of drunk people where in the lobby causing all kinds of problems me and my nephews proceeded to go to our room after the front desk asked the people to quiet down I m guessing because of the quiet hours my hats off to jaquain at the front desk because he handled them well even when they where extremely out of line and I personally heard racist remarks which is why me and my nephews left I would just wish you guys had security because the noise level was extreme and we could hear the drunk ppl on the 2nd level and that s just ridiculous otherwise I love the property and love this location.

The hotel is otherwise good despite the smell of sheets in the rooom. The particular thing that really makes the experience poor is the person at the front desk during late nights. Once I checked in at 3 am and she tried to refuse letting us in last week and this week, she wouldn t let me pay extra or even consider an early check in. Poor management or poor employee ruins the experience entirely

Decent hotel in a nice location. Food options such as Chipotle, Mediterranean and McDonald s within walking distance. Starbucks you can also walk to. Our room was clean but the bathroom was kinda small. The shower/toilet area won t work for a chunky person. I liked the sliding door full length mirror. The room needed a rack or something in the shower to place your toiletries. The outlets to charge your devices are sooooo slow!! Took my watch hours to fully charge. The towels are horrible quality..feels like you re drying off with sand paper. It s pretty quiet so that s a plus. It s also pet friendly but you wouldn t know because it s pretty clean looking. Breakfast is not included!!

Blonde guy in the front is super rude. He wasn t answering the phone when I called and when I got there, I had some corporate card issues and he wasn t at all helpful. I was in the front figuring it out and he started banging on my window to move my car. Why when I m about to check in? He ended up coming outside yelling in the phone mad that he had to cover for someone but that s not a reason to be rude to guests. I ended up leaving and I will not be booking any future trips here and advising my coworkers of this experience. Never again.

We travel a lot and have stayed at quite a few hotels. This was out first time in Dallas and I was excited to stay here for my birthday trip. We checked in Thursday Oct 27 and checked out Sunday Oct 30. The decorations were cool and there was a nice vibe. However when we checked in we were told they would be testing the alarm system on Friday. We didn t think it would be a problem because planned to sight see and would not be in the room. However, the alarm system started going off around 8:15 am . I guess I m not sleeping in. After about the 5th time the alarm went off I called down to the front desk to find out how much longer will it be and I was told for hours. I asked to speak to a supervisor because there wasn t a warning or indication that this would happen when we booked. When we were informed about the alarm being tested I thought they would test it in the middle of the day not early in the morning. What a way to really inconvenience the guests. When I spoke with the supervisor I was hoping she would say I will have them stop testing and start around 10am. To my surprise she says I can refund you for last night and try and find somewhere else for you to stay. I felt like she didn t care and basically was saying you can leave if you don t like it. Not to mention this weekend is the Bears vs. Cowboys game so the idea that we would be able to find something else last minute was basically impossible and the supervisor knew it. Two things could have Ben done better, a warning should ve been indicated when booking and they could ve started testing later in the day. The supervisor could have been more accommodating than just saying you can leave. What a disappointment after I was so excited to stay here. I m sure if this is how Texas customer service is or just Aloft but I doubt I will stay here again. Just because of the nonchalant attitude from management. I have it two stars because check in was smooth, the front desk was friendly, and the room was clean.

Great place to stay. A little older construction so rooms arent dead quiet but I have stayed in much worse. This hotel is for online oriented people. You will need to go online to learn more about hotel amenities and such. Im fine with that. But some may want printed info about the hotel in their room. Only nag was a very slow bartender one night and it was hard to get his attention. Maybe is over paid and doesnt need tips? I dont know.

I mostly stay at Marriott properties. The room was nice and cold. The staff was nice. Honestly the place was OK. The hotel pushes to be modern but, some how forgot the small things. I know Im being picky but, the room felt cramped (king size bed). The room was too dark. The hallway light had these decorative light covers that were falling apart or falling off. The lobby seemed so busy and everything crambed in. Oh we forgot the front desk, lets put it in the middle. Lets place all these drinks and food items in this area but, spread it around so it looks like a lot of items. They are looking to be more personal and forgot to treat me as a customer. This is my personal preference. Inconsistencies in the chain are bothersome as well. Marriott member includes fast check-in. Some places I dont need to stop at the front desk. I check-in on the app, use my phone as a key to my room, bypassing the front desk completely. Some places I need to just show ID, get my key card and thats it (since I checked in on the app). At this location, I had to show ID, show the credit card I used to prepay for my room (which is on file with Marriott). And then I was charged a deposit fee. I have not been charged a deposit fee for a Marriott room since becoming a member. Its a nice hotel. Good place to stay. Its not for me.

I chose this hotel because of the location and being convenient to visit several friends around the DFW metroplex. The customer service could use a little attention. The front desk rep was not the warmest and was often on her cell phone as I left/entered the premises. During check in she did not ask if I was a Marriot Bonvoy member so I had to submit this stay at a later date to thru the app. Also, she made an error with swiping my CC for hold and instead of owning up to the mistake she kept making excuses. The manager I asked for was much more pleasant and helpful. I agree with the other reviews that the a/c is quite loud and makes it difficult to hear tv or get sound sleep. However, I do appreciate the ability to have a cool room in Texas heat. Overall the room and hotel as a whole is adequate but I wouldn t highly recommend to friends or family.

Im very ambivalent about this place. Spent a couple of nights here while doing a marathon and still cannot decide whether I enjoyed it as much as I thought. It has a great location but did not like that the store was too far. Yes they have a mini store inside but its hard to pay 3 bucks for a bottle of water. They have a nice bar inside but did not have a chance to try it out. No free breakfast butt they have free coffee. Bed was very comfy but pillows were nothing more than t-shirts, all flat. TV was nice with on demand hbo, it took forever to find anything though because the controls were soooo slow. Shower was nice and with decent pressure but shower head was not secured in the wall and felt like it would give out while adjusting it, loved the look of the sink and toilet, but they were very low height wise and after running 26 miles (17 for me as I failed to finish (thats another story)), it was torture having to bend down to sit it was my face. Oh well, I guess I might stay here again simply to try out the bar. Thank you!

Beware. Make a reservation through a 3rd party and your reservation isnt actually guaranteed, as the front desk manager said. I made my reservation well in advance of a month through a 3rd party, paid extra for a king bed, and upon time to check in was told that they are sold out of rooms and only have a queen room available. The manager explained that since we made a reservation through a 3rd party our room time isnt guaranteed, meaning that they will give your room away to someone who pays them directly for the opportunity to make more $$$. She then tried to make it sound like we were getting a better room putting us on a higher floor. Big whoop. Higher floor with two beds instead of one. I could have dealt with the fact they had no rooms left and just tell me that. You dont have to make it seem like I did something wrong by making a reservation through a 3rd party and thats why Im not getting the room I paid for. Why sell your rooms through 3rd parties if youre going to treat them like 2nd class citizens. Nice job! ** Rooms are nice and clean - no issues there**

This hotel needs a bit of a renovation, seems a little aged and tired. The staff were outstanding and Lois was the bright star to my entire trip. She was able to provide me with excellent advice and directed me to some of the DFW areas best places to eat, walk and experience. Food menu at hotel is rather limited and the bar is only open for very short hours but numerous great places to eat and drink near by. I had a 5 night stay and unfortunately only had my room serviced once during my entire stay and that was by request after my first night. Garbage was overflowing, bed never made and other than after the first night I never received clean towels. I would return as the location is safe and has many great venues near by but they should really take a moment to provide hotel hospitality with simple things like room care after each night.
