Ahhh! The signature Marriott comfortable beds provide the best travel rest. If I stay longer than one night, I wont wanna get out from under the sheets! Near the front desk, there is a convenience store area, and all the basics needed for a nice or 2 stay. Lamps or a desk with USB ports would enhance the rooms. Only the alarm clock has a USB port, which is unusual. Noteworthy details: The bar area should be open and promoted. The pool area is furnished for a party, so wheres the DJ? Wheres the Saturday afternoon BBQ special? Who manages/markets this place for events? Rent the bar area out on weekdays. The place has potential and furnishings for more business but no inspired management.

Very basic, no frills hotel with an extremely comfortable bed. A nice perk is the lobby bar open in the evenings and there is a pool table and seating area in the lobby for use at any time. It was what we needed it to be for the weekend: a place to shower and sleep.

I stay at Marriott s religiously for work purposes. I have never been so disappointed. I understand the hotel is under renovation, but there is no reason for this hotel to be as nasty as it is. The bathroom shower is just not up to par. The mini fridge is under the bathroom sink? That s something that definitely needs to be taken care of. The customer service was no good. I asked the front desk to refill my shower gel, they forgot so I put in a service request through the app asking them to do it the next day during room service. Someone came to my room that night and knocked on my door at 10:30pm absolutely not okay. I sent a message in the chat with the hotel stating to not do that again and please have them refill the soap the next day. And it still didn t get done. My coworkers staying in other rooms complained of being itchy after sleeping in the bed. The hotel is just inconvenient and needs to be held to a better standard as other Marriott hotels are.

This hotel was very poorly taken care of. Dirty hallways and carpets. Pretty icky. The rooms had a weird feature where if the bathroom light was on (which encompassed/controlled the toilet room lighting) then the whole bedroom area was illuminated, brightly at that. It was awful. Would not recommend staying here at all.

I stayed at the Aloft Hotel as my apartment was having AC issues fixed. The room was clean and ok. No microwave oven in the room. And, the Wi-Fi didnt work very well. However, there were billing issues from my apartments credit card as they were paying for the hotel room. The general manager is a very nice and professional lady named Andee. She took care of the billing issues very easily. I would stay at this hotel again just because of Andee.

Clean, decent rooms with nice workspaces and reliable WiFi. The floor in the shower is just as slippery as it ever has been the other times Ive stayed here. This time in room 230, the air conditioner wasnt working too well either, but I travel with a small fan, plus the weather was actually OK. Otherwise, the conditions may have been worse. I set it on 70 the first night, but it never got below 73...I set it on 68 the next night, again never below 73....tried turning it off and turning it on again and setting it on 65, still sat at 73. I luckily was out for business during the day, so I only had to suffer at night. It wasnt enough to complain to the front desk, but its noteworthy for a less-complacent guest. The surprise wake-up call by the fire alarm was a little startling, but after looking out my door and seeing the firemen saying there was no fire, all was well. There needs to be a little more lighting and a few more places to hang things (towels, toiletries, etc.). Would be cool if there was just ONE soap dish/shelf in the shower too. This is a nice little hotel in a great location, I just wish some of the tiny details were taken care of.

So were to start, we checked in and got to our room Friday. We were in town to help family move into their new home, got back to find the elevator was broken, my wife has a bad foot and knee, so up the stairs we go, get to the room , bed not made, no clean towels, no coffee ......, we tried to call front desk, phone doesnt work, call on cell finally answer after multiple attempts. I know this isnt the George ,where we usually stay, but dang it, after reading the reviews maybe then GM might get a handle on some of this repeated sub standard performance, and apologies just run short. We wont be back. P.S. Free breakfast will not break the Marriott Group.

Im not a fan. No microwave in the room. This was my 3rd time staying in an Aloft hotel. This particular time this location had an electrical issue. Elevators didnt work, key pad didnt work. You had to walk up flights of stairs to your room and someone had to let you in. So if you wanted to go out you had to repeat the process. I dont like that they dont at least have a continental breakfast and even if you brought food you have to leave out your room to heat it up. Im not a big fan.

This hotel is extremely dirty and the GM does not care about it. He said Alofts are a dark brand. I moved to 2 rooms one was next to construction and the other was smelly and completely covered from the outside with no light in it. Because both rooms were completely not fit for staying in I left and was told I would get a refund by the front desk staff. The GM said no refunds are ever given and doesnt want to make it right. If you want to stay in a dark and dirty room then you will love this place.

So you have to wake everyone up in the room with all the lights on. The rooms are very small. The bed was a little rough! Far from a Heavenly Bed! Get Breakfast at a drive thru because the choices leave something to be desired! Also there is a charge for that. It is not inclueded in a room stay! Definitely will never stay at an Aloft again! Although I am a titanium elite Bonvoy member, the hotel would not grant me a late checkout. As titanium elite, I am entitled to a 4pm checkout. The lady at the front desk told me that it was based on availability. However, the program rules state that Titanium Elite members can get a 4pm late checkout, unless at a resort or convention hotel. This hotel is not one of those. After some deliberation, the front desk employee reluctantly gave me a 1pm checkout. I spoke with customer service over the phone, and they agreed with me. They cited 15009 in the employee handbook as the source.

Ive stayed all over the country for the last year. Most hotels have gone back to some normal practices. Not this one. They have no kitchens open for breakfast or otherwise. If you want some rotting apples, they are available for purchase. The bar wasnt open on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. At that point why even say you have one? They are still only doing room cleaning upon request. Worst of all.... the staff sits around watching TV or on their phones instead of being ready for guest needs. If you ask for something they seem bothered to have to stop talking through their airpods to whomever they are speaking with. One was actually on a couch with a blanket wrapped around themselves when I walked in. At least they were in the lobby instead of in the back like others I had to wait around for. My room was clean so Ill give them that. Otherwise Ill stay at a hotel that actually has some amenities and would have had they notified that they had nothing open.

Hotel was fine as usual, but my checkout experience this morning (Jan. 30) was disappointing. I politely asked for a printout of my bill, and the clerk curtly said, well email it to you. When I requested it again, she said nothing and printed it as though I was making her work too hard. While waiting for the printout, I asked her to notify maintenance to change the dead battery in the hotel safe in my room (427). The clerk handed the printout to me silently. I thanked her, and she responded with an emotionless have a nice day. As I was putting the printout in my carry-on, she walked over to a dirty table in the lobby, brushed the debris onto the floor, sat down, and became engrossed in her phone. She didnt jot down a note for maintenance. While the clerk was wearing a Texas A&M sweater, she didnt display any Aggie hospitality.

I ve been staying here for a few months for work and I will tell you I have not had a better experience anywhere in my entire life. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are top-notch. This is by far the best hotel you can stay in in College Station. Kudos to management for treating me like a king!

Probably one of the most bizarre hotels I have ever stayed at. The way the architect laid out this hotel is odd, at best. Hard to get to what I guess is the front entrance. Secondly, the room was 81 degrees when I walked in. I am all for energy conservation, but not in rooms you know guests are staying in. Finally, half the lights in the room were burned out when I checked in. I had rely on my cell phone light for any navigation in the room during my stay. Wouldn t stay here again.

Frequent traveler and always chose Marriott as my choices of hotel. Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. Marty front fest very welcoming, and enjoyed Taylor s company at the bar. Super attentive and communicated well if she attended other guest. Made me feel very welcomed. Definitely a nice stay here with lots of places to eat nearby.

Actually did not stay. We had a reservation at another Marriott hotel and with the regional NCAA track meet in town our room was bumped. We walked over to the Aloft. Jackie at the front desk informed me that they were full but she got on the phone and helped us get over to the residence inn. I am a Bonvoy Gold member. I did not tell her that, I just know any Marriot property is good to stay at. She made sure we had a room available before we drove over to the Residence inn. And then made sure and told them to hold it and gave them my name. It was their last room. That kind of service makes The Aloft a place I will stay anytime I m here. I own several companies and we have contracts to stay at Marriotts. Now when I bring the company to College Station we will stay at the Aloft. We stay at JW s and Marquis when traveling for the service ect. I have never received that type of care for my family from an employee at anytime and Marriotts are the best across the board. Jackie at the front desk at the Aloft is the definition of service and action that makes a company better and is the type of professional that I look to hire at our highest levels of management. Thank you Jackie, you made our weekend.

Be careful if you choose to stay here. They took our money and couldn t accommodate us. Put us in a different hotel that was horrible. Customer service has done nothing for us and pretty much gave us the sorry, not our problem response. I booked a night at the Aloft in College Station, TX for this past Friday, April 9th, directly through the website. I called to confirm my reservation before making the drive upon which I had to give them my card info again, they ran my card to pay for my room and said I was all set. Upon arrival, we were told that they could not accommodate us. The said the best they could do was put us in a different hotel acrosss the street. This hotel was nowhere near the quality that we expected when we booked Aloft. The a/c did not work and we were not at all comfortable. We had stayed in an Aloft prior and booked this reservation based on the comfort and cleanliness. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude to my wife when she was asking why we weren t notified. We have reached out several times to the location and haven t been able to speak to a manager. We did not receive the quality hotel we paid for. The customer service has been horrible so far!

A nice hotel. Covid guidelines enforcement inconsistent. We were told we could not gather to eat so we had my wedding party in the rain. Came back to find a large pizza party in the lobby. Other than that a great comfortable place with a lot to do.

Worst experience in twenty years!!! Unfriendly staff, small rooms, very noisy!!! Charged me $120 for incidentals for 2 nights stay! Cant believe its a Marriott chain member. Ill stay at Motel 6 next time! Very few people staying there but they are all grouped together which added to the noise level, someone zipped their bag next door and I could easily hear it-this place is terrible. Im a Marriott Silver Member but will never use an Aloft anywhere, Be Ware!!!

The only reason I am giving a 4 is the websites say you pay upon arrival , they took 2 rooms out of the the morning before I arrived. .... when I got there he said management likes to secure the dep .... ummm isn t that why I give you my cc info when I reserve ???? Other then that staff was super nice , super clean and nice all together. Will come here again for sure ....

Staff was (as expected) college students more interested in hanging out with their friends in lobby. But either way its well kept and affordable. Not a fan of the doors to the shower... they dont lock or even shut all the way. I like my privacy in the restroom lol.

I wasn t sure what to expect from ALoft. I knew it was a Bonvoy Marriott hotel, but it looked like the hotel was designed for the younger traveler. I was pleasantly surprised as it retained its standard for cleanliness. The staff was friendly and quick to assist. The hotel room was well designed and actually felt larger than normal Marriott rooms. The only drawback was the shower flooring. It was extremely slick when it was wet and I almost slipped getting out of the shower. Luckily, I got footing on the towel mat outside the shower.

One word!!! AMAZING... We only got to spend 1 night here but our experience was great, the Hotel is decorated in colorful art, lights and carpets, the rooms are very contemporary and very clean, the beds and linens are to die for. ( I want the comforter and sheet sets. ) I honestly did not want to get out of bed. The gentleman who checked us in and helped at the bar was a real delight, our overall experience was awesome and we will stay here everytime we visit College Station
