I have been a customer here for several years now and always enjoyed the food. However, today the older gentleman with glasses who I presume is the owner was very rude and made me want to not return. My friend and I paid separately for our order and he acted extremely rude and loud to us in front of the entire restaurant as if that was an issue. We have eaten here together and paid separately for years and it was never an issue so I am unsure as to why this scene was caused today. Unhappy and not returning in the foreseeable future.

We are first-time customers, and I had the chicken vindaloo, not as spicy as I would have liked but still very good. To be fair, I love really spicy food. Everyones food was fresh and made to order. My daughter is gluten-free and had no problem finding what she liked. If I lived closer, I would certainly be a regular! Grape leaves were good too.

A amazing local find with outstanding Greek / Mediterranean food. We had the chicken rice bowl and Gyro plate and both were excellent and highly recommended. It was the best Greek food I have had in Texas and we will definitely be back. They don t serve alcohol but you can bring your own wine. It is pretty basic in the restaurant but the food more than makes up for it.

My family introduced me to this place as they went there for lunch. My Dad raves about the gyros (who has high standards for gyro meat) and my Mom was a fan of the spicy chicken plate. I tried the plan with them during dinner and I will now be a regular. You can tell they use fresh olive oil and even sell their olive oil in bottles. The rice was flavorful and the hummus was up there with the best hummus I had. I normally do not eat salad but it was well dressed and a great compliment to the meat and rice. The s falafel is the best falafel I have ever had in my entire life.I had to placed an extra order after destroying the appetizer. The baklava had such a unique almost cinnamon bun like taste, I loved it so much I got one to go for my significant other. Additionally, the service was phenomenal and the person who took our order was very deliberate in taking good care of the place and keeping things orderly. I cant believe we got this for this price! This is the thoughts that run through my familys head every time we order from Blue Olive Grill. Now let me be very clear: We have ONLY ordered food online and picked up in person. I cannot speak to eating inside or what food would be like when having it delivered through a third party. Everything written below is from my multiple experiences of ordering, going to pick up, and then eating at home. Quality: I love my seasonings. Blue Olive has a lots of flavor packed into their meats, hummus, and salad. Their rice that comes with entrees provides a great counterpoint in having less flavor so you can break up your meal. Quantity: Seems like so much! I eat my entire meal and am full (6 foot male). My wife splits hers into a dinner and lunch. While they are generous with the pita, I only wish I had more because they give such a good portion of hummus! Timing: Amazing. I have a 7-12 minute drive based on traffic. I place my order online, get in the car, and by the time I arrive my order has been ready every time (typically week days right around dinner time). In addition, when I get home we sit down to eat immediately and everything is still at a great temperature! SUCH a win in my book! Location: For someone who likes to find places off the beaten path, this feels a little like one of those. The accessibility is right off of University, but the strip center it is in is easily overlooked when compared to more recently built areas around it. This is a GREAT price for the quality and quantity of food you are getting. If you like fancy, go somewhere else, but if you value good food I hope you dont find yourself disappointed!

The UberEATS photo made this place look like an Indian restaurant, but thats definitely not the case. The curry was not authentic at all and served with plain white rice (not even basmati). It had some spice, but mostly tasted like tomato sauce with grilled chicken thrown in. I realized afterwards that this place specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, so that was my bad. I might try that next time and see if I like it better. I will give points for the packaging and timely delivery (though somehow my curry was lukewarm, even though it got here fast).

As far as Im concerned, this is the ONLY Mediterranean restaurant in McKinney. This place is my all time favorite. In fact, its my offices all time favorite. We eat here at least once a week. The family that owns the restaurant is the best! They are so friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. The food is the amazing too! I love the grilled chicken Greek salad and their hummus is so good! Go now. Really, just get in your car and drive over there and eat. You wont be disappointed.

Went to pick up food. Food took a good 15 mins to come. I guess you have to place an order before you go in. Food flavor was very bland i ordered the chicken, gyro and kofta kabob plate. Since i was waiting so long i thought they were making it fresh, but it didnt taste fresh. It was super dry. The chicken was EXTREMELY DRYand kofta too and The meat lacked flavor (i added more salt when i got home). It just didnt taste fresh. Flavor was bland. Salad was decent (small side with feta and cucumbers). They didnt have any garlic sauce. What kinda Mediterranean restaurant runs out of garlic sauce? For the wait, i not worth it All in all its a place where if you REALLY want some bland grilled food its ok. Otherwise it didnt have any Mediterranean flavors. Would really suggest working on your flavors!

This was the go to spot for good Mediterranean dishes, But like all the restaurants that start out great they soon start to lose it because they hate the customers or the job but either way this place has gone to the dogs. Its always clean and smells good but the quality of the food has dropped and so has their customer service.

I cannot begin to express how I feel about this place, today I went here again for a second time and it was just as amazing or even better this time around. When we entered the lady was helping someone else she still acknowledged us and asked us to sit anywhere we like, right away she asked us what to drink and was very helpful. Constantly check to make sure we were doing well. We order one chicken Kabob plate, one gyro place and Chicken Qorma everything was delicious excellent taste flavor and much more. Definitely will be going back for some more delicious food. This place is a hidden gem and I m so glad to be able to find this place.

Blue Olive Grill is one of the hidden gems of McKinney. I have had many gyros in the U.S., but this is the only place where they were just as good as the ones we had in Greece. Very nice people who run the place as well. Give it a try!

Unfortunately, not a great take-out quality on last visit. Grilled Chicken extremely dry. Grilled Lamb was mealy - maybe over tenderized or previously frozen. However, the Gyro meat was tender and flavorful. The Flat Pita was amazing - soft and delicious.

WOW! TALK ABOUT A REAL GEM! Honestly if it werent for Google I would have never found this place but I am so happy I did. First, the food is tasty and the lunch plates come with this spicy hummus you want to just keep putting on everything. Then you also get FRESH HOT PITA BREAD. greek salad drizzled with a yogurt dressing ooooooo trust me, its just an overall great meal for anytime and THE LUNCH SPECIALS ARE UNBEATABLE. They only do to-go but thats what I was looking for anyway. Read good reviews and was not disappointed, all 3 plates were stuffed. Walking up to the Blue Olive I can definitely say its a spot that is not well known and it does not really catch your eye but after eating there (and this will sound selfish) but I am actually happy about that because this is a place I will definitely keep going back to and no line is a huge plus

Ordered a very large take out order for my husbands birthday, but the order wasnt correctly made. When I reached out to the owner / manager / via Facebook (I tried calling, but no one answered) I was treated as an inconvenience & felt spoken down to. In this day & age w/ Covid limiting business, customers should be treated with the upmost amount of care. I dont recommend & I wont be returning.

This place is good everytime we come. Their hummus is consistently the best I have ever had! I dont know what magic they put in there, but keep it up! Also, I usually get the grilled chicken plate and everything is fresh and goes super well with their hot, fresh, oh so yummy naan. My husband loves their gyro plate and today, I tried their veggie biryani..was not disappointed!

First time for us. We asked to replace their normal chicken combo with spicy chicken mixed combo platter, the staff was very helpful. The food is fresh and tastes great! The combo comes with blue cheese salad and cucumber yogurt dip, which is complementary to the combo platter. Best middle eastern food I ve had. We will definitely be regulars here.

The best greek food I ve ever had. I ve been other places but no where else compares. I always get the gyro and it s perfect. Their pita is so soft and their sauce is amazing. Their fries are good, but sometimes could use more seasoning. I love this place and it s officially one of my favorite restaurants.

Tried visiting here passing through McKinney. We try to support local as much as we can too. Entered the restaurant, the owner was not wearing a mask and confirmed that most likely his kitchen staff weren t either. We walked out disappointed as we were very excited to try his food considering all the great reviews. I m sure takeout was prepped without a mask as well. Really bummed out.

I have ordered take out many times for Chicken Biriyani. I made it very clear that I have tomato allergies and asked if the dish contained tomatoes. Everytime I called to order I was reassured that there were no tomoatoes. I ordered yesterday and had an allergic reaction after eating the food. I called in today and apparently the chef sometimes adds tomatoes. It is incredibly upsetting that my health and well being have been impacted especially when I took steps to confirm the presence of tomatoes. I will not be going back. Please do better for other clients who advise you of allergies. Luckily I have an EpiPen, but others may not be so lucky.

I love the food here. Been ordering this since quarantined started. My go to order is a spicy chicken plate and every time I get the most perfect spicy, lemony, grilled chicken with some hot rice and lot s of hummus. Hat s off to everyone who makes that possible. Oh and two pita bread . Feels like eating hot home made gooood food. I encourage everyone to try this place.

Tried the place for the first time, and all the meals we ordered were missing flavor. Chicken kabob tasted like it was frozen, they defrosted it, marinated and grilled it in 15 minutes. The flavors simply werent there inside the meat. Rice tasted dull, same with Kofta kabob. The only thing that tasted kinda ok was the gyro (not the rice that came with it). Very disappointing after you see 4.5 star aggregate review.

Delicious Take Out! I had placed an order on-line and (user error) when I arrived they didnt have it. The staff could not have been nicer!!! They didnt care that it was my own fault, they just wanted me to get my food as quickly as possible. It was so yummy, cant wait to go back!
