Wonderful little neighborhood park. Tucked back in a shady area, it offers playground equipment for a wide range of ages, as well as plenty of seating around the play area, picnic tables, a bbq grill, and a large field. One of the best aspects of this park is that the playground area has solid rubber ground cover instead of sand or wood chips. It makes it easy to walk on for all ability levels and means we don t take bits of the park home with us in our shoes or hair, which makes me happy as a mom. :) The slides have canopies over them and there are also a ton of big trees to make this park shady for most of the day. We ve been in the morning, early afternoon, and evening and have been able to stay out of the blistering sun thanks to how much tree cover there is. It s usually not very busy here either which is another thing I appreciate. And there s a pretty big parking area which also gets plenty of shade so you don t have to walk out to a hot car! Playground: There is a very large climbing structure (recommended age is 5-12 according to signage) and another smaller one for toddler/preschool age. There is a huge metal and web climbing gym, swing set, and monkey bars. There s a large faux boulder to climb as well. Toilets: There are NO restrooms at this park. Dog-friendliness: I see people here walking their dogs on the trail around the park often. There is not a dedicated dog park, so you must keep them on leash. Picnic area: There is a covered picnic area as well as u covered tables. There s a grill for public use and plenty of trash cans around the park.

Fun for kids. I certainly took advantage of the swings. Playground: All skill levels welcome! Toddlers have a play area, too. Good for balance coordination, cognitive learning, depth perception, climbing ability. Also has a walking trail around the play area.

This park has a fun playground, with a walking trail & practice field. Everything seems new or in good condition. Theres a gazebo with tables, and a few other picnic tables under the trees. No public restrooms. Several benches around the playground but not along the walking trail/practice field. Playground has two play structures, one for older kids, and a separate one for toddlers & preschoolers to climb safely. Theres a spider web for climbing on the big kids side. Great photo op! This playground has quite a few swings, all in good condition. Swings are old school but still very popular.

My kids really enjoy playing at this park. I love how its tucked away in a neighborhood. There are lovely trees everywhere, and each time weve been, the squirrels have been really active and running around, which is fun to watch. There are also great sticks and plenty of field for kids to play in, if your kids are like mine and have to run and sword fight at the park! Its never been busy during the day when we have gone, which I love!

Its adequate enough to keep the kids busy lol. Would suggest bigger shading over the playground in addition over the benches for us parents to rest easy. Would also recommend more swing sets for the younger pickles out there. Love the big open field for picnics, sports, kite flying...etc. Playground: One of the pros of the playground is its cushion base. Away from bug infested mulch or rough sand otherwise. Picnic area: Plenty of open space for the picnic area. Barbecue included despite its limitation. Just bring the food.

This park has somthing for everyone. A small playground area for the little ones with a few different types of slides and spots to climb. With 2 areas a caregiver might need to stand to keep toddlers from falling. Theres a great playset for the big kids with multiple slides, 6 if I remember correct. A obstacle course climber, and a huge rope climber. Theres plenty of shade and a decent walking path with exercise stops that surround the playground.

This was my first visit to Redbud Park in Hurst, TX. My wife discovered it one day, when she was attempting to take a shortcut that didnt work out. I went with my Stepdaughter and her 2 year old son, and was pleasantly surprised. It is hidden away on a large piece of property along a flood water drainage ditch. It has first rate playground equipment that can be enjoyed by children of all ages. Except for the swings and an adjacent, large playing/ball field, the playground is marvelously shaded by some large trees. The ground level of the main playground is coated with a rubbery, bouncy surface to protect little ones in case of falls. There is a nice off-street parking lot, sidewalks, seats, picnic tables, and a drinking water fountain. There are also adult exercise stations scattered around. It was a gorgeous, breezy day today, and it was great to sit in the shade and watch the children playing. If you are looking for a close, safe, quiet park, suitable for active kids, as well as family outings, check it out!

I love this park but unfortunately the area around it I feel has kind of gone downhill. I had one episode a few months ago where a guy tried to break into my car while I was there... its a great place for the kids to play as far as the things they have at the park, I just dont feel the safest there anymore. I have been going since I was a kid and they have redone it all which is really nice I just wish the area was what it used to be. But I feel that its not just the park, its Hurst in general that I have noticed has begun to have many issues.....

Two things that the City of Hurst does very well are the fireworks and the parks. This park along with most of the Hurst parks was newly renovated recently and looks great. It has lots of activities and things for all kids to enjoy. Love that Hurst really does a nice job when it comes to entertainment. Now if we could just get them to leave the waterparks open later.
