Kyle legit gave me and my wife the best customer service. Our fries were cold and I told Kyle. He maid the entire order over so everything came out fresh. People like Kyle are hard to find in food service nowadays. Also he was wearing a hairnet on his beard before he came and talk to me lol

The 6 pieces of fish and 6 shrimp. Ok taste. The fish was heavy coated. Very hard to chew. The shrimp was tiny. Breading was thin barely covering shrimp. I only come once every two months. I cant afford to buy food out and drive from Dayton Texas to Humble Texas.

The incredible staff at this LJS makes it one of my preferred spots! Their willingness to go the extra mile with menu recommendations and attentive service is truly commendable. Vegetarian options: I had hush puppies, coleslaw, fries, and a refreshing Dr Pepper. However, its worth noting that the fried items might not be strictly vegetarian, as they could be cooked in the same oil as fish or chicken.

Even though we were there 10 mins before closing, they were ok with cooking up fresh fries and fish. Could tell they were tired but the drive thru lady took time to chat and make sure we got everything we ordered. Makes a huge difference getting it fresh vs. sitting under a heat lamp for sho!!

Traveled from opposite side of town when found out about this location(all other closed down). I was very excited to as met another person drove from Conroe. This place is filthy. It needs to be closed for a month and deep cleaned. Food was well below LJS quality. The fish and clams were burnt. The oil they use was so old it left and acrid taste on everything.

Drive thru order #10. Received wrong order and quickly reversed and honked a few times. No response so I walked in and let them know about wrong order and commented how small the fish size was, the chicken was bigger. He said thats the biggest fish they had and give me an extra lol. 3 of these tiny fish portions barely completely 1 of what I had before at other locations. I should have just asked for a refund.

I came and there was a sign on the menu saying their speaker is not working and to say hello so someone can take your order. I said hello because I was waiting for a while and a lady said hold on in a rude tone. Once I started telling her my order I could barely hear her the speakers volume was so low. I knew it wasn t going to go well because she didn t take my order right. After that I ask what was that? Because she said something I don t know if she said to pull forward or said the total of my order but she didn t say nothing after I asked her what she said. Again pretty rude for no reason. I pulled up to the window and she didn t even acknowledge me or say hello. So I just drove away I wasn t going to be treated unfair and deal with that. It was some middle aged lady and she looked like she didn t wanna be there. I definitely won t be coming back.

I really wanted to like the food. The outside looks run down, the fish is half the size as it used to be. I got some big 45$ box for the family and it ended up basically in the trash. The fish was super dry, the coleslaw was sour and after that no one wanted to touch the food. It was late that day like 845pm so I didnt want to go back. Avoid it all the way!! Dont make a $45 dollar mistake.

On Saturday February 17th, 2024 around 2:30 pm I came into the Humble, TX location.. I went in with my family and it was really busy. The Cashiers name was Leslie and she was really busy on the front line and she was working really hard to get all of our orders out. The manager was done taking orders for the drive-thru and walked to the back of the store and left the front Cashier by herself for 5-10 minutes when business was really busy. The manager then came back to the front and started screaming at the Cashier because she wasnt getting the orders out fast enough. The cashier tried to explain to the manager that the monitors went down and that she had to manually print off the receipts from the register so she could know what order to send out. So because of that it was taking longer to get orders out. After that the manager snapped and got really disrespectful with the Cashier and accused her of pushing the wrong button on the monitor. The Cashier tried to defend herself and tell the manager that she didnt push the wrong button and then the manager yelled at the Cashier and screamed YES YOU DID. The Cashier was taken back for a moment because of how disrespectful her manager was being towards her.. and I could tell that she was hurt or maybe embarrassed by the disrespect in front of the customers. The worst part about this situation is that after being disrespectful to the Cashier.. the manager then got upset and said Stop crying. Do you really think our customers want to see you crying like a baby. I felt so bad for the Cashier after her manager disrespected her like that. The cashier was so nice and gave us a wonderful experience. She was really working hard at getting all of our orders out and keeping a positive attitude after being disrespected like that. I feel as if the Manager of that store acted in a completely unprofessional, disrespectful way. Something NEEDED to be done about the way she treats her crew. I tried to console the Cashier after everything happened with her manager and she still proceeded to tell me that everything was okay. Leslie was so sweet and so kind..and her positivity was about the only good thing I can speak of about my experience at this location.

This was my second visit on a Saturday to this location. We pulled into the drive-thru and was told immediately that the drive-thru was closed to come inside to order. There were 10 people ahead of us. We ordered two fish and shrimp platters with two fish and two drinks. The cashier had an issue with adding the separate sides and an order of 10 jumbo shrimp. There had not been an issue with our orders. We were staying at a hotel and tired from a long drive. When we sat down to eat. There was only one platter, and the two fish container only had one. The cashier repeated the order. We were extremely upset and to tired to drive back.

I drove about an hour to get to this location Long John Silver because the reviews said that the place was clean and food was hot and good. Well I was very disappointed. I went through the drive thru and the food was NOT fresh. It was hot but the flavor was horrible. Just Extra Salty old cooking oil. I could Not and Did not eat my shrimp because the smell and the taste was Old and Rotten seems the fish and shrimp was fried in a bunch of bad old cooking oil. The fish was very soaked in old cooking oil the color was dark and the fish and the shrimp was not Fresh at All. The cole slaw was brown and it looks like it was old leftovers from somebody else leftovers and through it in the trash. I basically wasted $16 dollars and I was very disappointed and will never return again..

Ive been here a couple of times. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. A lot of restaurants dont have malt vinegar available, but this place gets me and my intentions when I eat fried fish. The batter was great, very crispy, and not soggy. The sides were delicious. I always get fries and coleslaw. Every time I go, this place is busy, which speaks volumes for their business. I need to try more of their items, but Im kinda stuck on the fried fish. I did try their fried clams today. They were not bad, and Im glad I tried them, but not for me. They have cheesecake factory deserts. Maybe Ill try those next time.

I visited this location earlier this afternoon. Kyle who took our order was very pleasant and kind. The food received was not up to par. My fries were cold, my mom food was cold in entirely. I asked for new fries no problem. My mom asked for who food to be made over. She was not rude about it. They made it right and we were grateful. A older female employee I believe to be the manager. She proceeded to sit across the room and complain to another employee about my mom saying the food was cold. Not only was this unprofessional, it s no way to treat a customer. This lady kept looking in our direction, making eye contact with me all while talking about my mom. This was an unfortunate experience and this employee should reevaluate working in customer service.

Long Johns have fallen off. This location specifically is very very very slow. Especially the drive thru. Be prepared for 10-30 minute wait.Just depends on time of day. They Told us they were making our food fresh! Which I think they did, so Plus side it was hot. However the food was dark brown, very over cooked! Hard and tasteless! The fish is super small now?! Why? Why was the shrimp over cooked? Breading was thick and hard! Long johns is supposed to have a light crisp brown color, tender and tasteful not the opposite.what did y all do to the breading? Who authorized an Increase in cook time to the point the food is burnt? Where were the crumbs at the bottom? The hush puppies were cooked fine! I have fond memories of LJS as a child. When moving back to TX I knew that I d definitely be ordering from there. Location: old, run down, potholes- not attractive to potential customers at all. But I guess it will be shut down soon: especially w/o any upgrades. Staff: professional and friendly Food: always been the best part of LJS. There is a signature taste about there fish and hush puppies that s just However, I went thru the drive thru today at 6pm and I must say that I am terribly disappointed. There was no one there. It s the height of dinner time, so why is my does my FOOD taste old and like it was reheated. May have been left from lunch or maybe it was the oil used (I did have to wait a bit). As a long time fan of LJS, I regret to say I will not be back to ANY of its locations. Will just have to start going to that other place.

I don t know if long Johns is cutting corners to save money or this location. My fish was so small I remember them being way bigger back in the day. The two prices I had barely made up for one whole piece of fish! Rip long Johns I ll probably give it for more try because I used to love the food. It is sad that they will shut down in a more couple years, no doubt bout that.

I was surprised to find one of these still open. I walked in and was taken back in time by the smell, just like I remembered. Staff was friendly and the food was what you would expect, it has not changed. Satisfied with the prices, amount and flavor. I will definitely be back if I am in the area.

The food looked like it had been sitting out for a long time and they just refried it or the frying oil was not clean. The hushpuppies were inedible. The grilled shrimp was good. Sad because with a little TLC and a good attitude this could be a cute little nice place. The decorations were cute so I give them a good atmosphere, just fix the food.

It was absolutely horrible I will never go there again we used to love long John silvers the fish was so overcooked it was so dried out ask them to remake it so did several other customers because the fish was basically burnt and dry and brittle when the girl brought it to our table she practically threw it on the table very unprofessional I think her name was Mandy I believe the restaurant was so dirty the table I had to clean it before we could sit down I stepped right out of my flip-flop because it stuck to the floor where the floor was so dirty Is very extremely disappointed my husband Ordered a 2 piece fish dinner and we added 2 pieces of fish so we could have a 3 piece dinner almost $6 for 2 extra pieces of fish that was burnt Bad food bad service filthy restaurant

Giving a 5 star because I had two request one my food made fresh (I ll wait ) and 2 patient with my questions everything was good I wasn t a fan of the grilled shrimp seem like they put the shrimp on flat top grill not a lot of flavor but my 3 yo ate it up and the fish hush puppies was on point I also went in 20 mins before closing and everything was still how I asked over all I will be back world to the wise when getting you meal ask for the food to be dropped fresh and wait for it you will have a different opinion about ljs

The service was Great friendly and helpful staff, Fish and chicken cooked just right. The only small negative of the restaurant is that once inside you can tell the decorations plus the booths and table are outdated. But, I came in to eat not for the how the place looked.
