What should be discussed is how you don t pay your employees or just pay them whatever you want. You don t pay all djs I m still owed and so are your bartenders they just quit this week and so did I I have so many messages and different ppl coming forward about not getting paid and she decided to block all of us instead of paying ppl. If you didn t have enough money why open a business? The owner is very messy and money hungry. Wouldn t recommend eating drinking smoking or working here. Black ppl gotta do better. I m also being told the alcohol bottles are being refilled so whatever you ordered might not be real alcohol.

The owner is Ms. Nicole and she took excellent care of us. I came on a Monday evening and she had closed, I mean this lady was in her car. She saw me pull on the handle and she told me the bar was closed. I said, oh nooo!!! I have friends coming. She didn t hesitate to OPEN back up. That shows dedication and customer service at the highest level. She called the DJ back and we had a party party. I can t wait to return. It s very nice and clean and wonderful seating areas.

It was hot the AC was out.. front door wide open n fans blowing more heat. I went on a Friday and it seemed to be a slow night. I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar, right across from a previous patrons empty cups and huge hookah. They didnt bother to clean up after I sat down. Customer service? Where? Oh dont mind me. Ill just sit here with an empty $7 beer while you play on your phone, see review photo. Their DJ was the only saving grace.

You got to watch the manager here, sister will charge you twice for something you already paid for. She charged me twice for a margarita. I had the receipt and showed her where I already paid. She quickly apologized but couldnt refund me money for whatever reason. She said next time I come it would be on the house. Im not sure how she will honor or even remember what she said if I come months later? Other than that everything was fine but thats a big deal.

This PLACE IS A SCAM ! I bought a total of THREE drinks & my total came to $70! I Asked the waitress the prices she said each drink is $14 but what confused me was I got. Double shot and a single shot but they re the same price? BUT THAT ISNT THE WORST PART , My husband consumed his DRINK AND IT WAS NOT LIQOUR IT WAS AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE NEITHER THE OWNER OR WAITRESS COULD EXPLAIN ! The waitress handed me DIRTY WATER! I took the drink back they begin to deny and tried to have me taste test the liquor I told them to try what they gave me and then they realized what they given me wasn t liquor and couldn t explain what happened the owner proceeded to address me that she doesn t sell fake liquor well I said it clearly wasn t liquor and your staff cannot explain it instead of just refunding me and apologize she begin to argue and deny ! Even though her staffed admitted it wasn t liquor I was served ! I will REPORT TO BBB AND complain to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT this place should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! I could ve been poisoned and or given anything that NOBODY COULD EXPLAIN SAVE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER COME HERE !

Contacted the owner before me and my group of friends went to let her know we were coming when we got there the manager had a bad attitude was upset cause our group was taking up the seats. Told her I talk to the manager, she was like Im the manager you didnt talk to me I told her ok I guess it was the owner she said she wasnt told about us coming. Only had two waitress so service was slow. The dj didnt get there until late then he didnt read the crowd nobody was dancing he didnt even try to get us dancing the food truck wasnt set up to serve we decided to leave and go somewhere else will not go back overall bad experience

Dope duck off spot! Small inside, but still enough space that people werent on top of each other. I can appreciate the different levels of booth/ table seating, the plexiglass around the bar, and the food truck outside. They have hookah also and the drinks are STRONG, lol... Food Truck was Delicious I bought two plates to have for dinner, lunch and dinner/lunch again! Portions were full and food was seasoned to perfection. Prices were very reasonable. To give an example, I paid less than $30.00. Chef Shorty provide exceptional customer service. I will definitely be going back to his Food truck! See pictures below. Plate 1: Grilled Salmon and Garlic Parmesean Pasta Plate 2: Grilled Porkchops and Garlic Parmesean Mashed Potatoes(these were the highlight of my night) lol 3 piece of Garlic toast were added as well. I visited this location last night i opened a tab my ticket came out to be 84 dollars with 15 % percent of gratuity which brought my total to 101 however i had an open tab i told a friend to order a corona on my open tab another lady helped my friend by adding to my tab however it wasnt the original bartender . Later when i got home i realized they charged me an additional tip for the bartender that only handed my friend a corona a fee of 3 bucks on top of the already 15% gratuity i think this is very unethical and i will never open a tab or pay gratuity at this establishment. The crowd was very nice , the dj was Amazing as well but I m disgusted with the waitress at the bar

This place is so beautiful. I love the layout and the decorations. Drinks are tasty, good size and price. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ill be back. I hadnt been to this place since it was renamed The Corner until recently and had a BALL! The bartender HE(to be clear not all of their bartenders are friendly) but HE WAS AWESOME! The manager was just as sweet and attentive and so was the waitress. I enjoyed the decor, the drinks and the food. Hell when the Dj arrived he paid homage to DMX to start and it was on from there. I will be revisiting The Corner again! P.s. the seafood baked potato was quite tasty as well.

Walk into a bar stand at the bar for approximately 6 min and the bartender doesn t even acknowledge you. Ask the guy to help us he tell us she will help us. Stand there another 4 min STILL DID NOT HELP US! And she wasn t helping anyone just having a conversation laughing with another customer. Mask pulled down as well. We did them a favor and just left, guess they didn t want to be bothered. Bad service.

I am very unhappy with my experience. How do you make it mandatory to order food with your first drink. How do you not accept cash. How does a bartender make your drink and then let you know that there will be a mandatory food purchase with the first drink. I am all for supporting a black owned business, but I am not for a business taking advantage of people. Nice place, very clean and the food was probably good, but your not going to MAKE me purchase anything. Anyone can open a business, but everyone can t run one. Very unhappy

The Corner is a very nice clean establishment the staff is great, good drinks etc. Its definitely a spot I would recommend and come back to. I live on the other side of town literally so its worth the drive. Next Wednesday Ill be back!

I really, really, really like this place! A very nice atmosphere with elegant decor! The owner and staff are the best! I am usually a home body but since I found out about this spot I am now a regular at theCorner! Lol!

The live music was top notch. Loved it. As soon as I walked in the door I started grooving. Bar tender was on point. The environment was cool, the place is a bit small tho, with the popularity that may become an issue. Will definitely go again.
