If you live in the Houston area and need a headshot (and quickly!), look no further. Im never really excited about having photos taken but Aric made the process comfortable and easy. I was able to check availability and book online, and received confirmation of my appointment right away, along with directions for finding his home studio and guidelines for what to wear for the best results. I enjoyed sitting with him while he edited and explained the process. It was interesting and hes a genuinely nice guy with a great artistic eye. My photo was available to download within a couple of hours after the shoot. An overall great experience!

I was easily able to schedule an appointment online, I received an email confirmation immediately, I received an email reminder, and Aric called me on the day of the appointment. Aric did an incredible job on my headshot. I selected the alternative backgrounds, which I thought was well worth it. The whole process took less than an hour between the pictures and the edits. Within an hour and a half of leaving, I received an email with a link to all of the pictures for me to download (different backgrounds, different sizes, and different resolutions). The quality was amazing.

Its extremely interesting and its cool to know what he did to get to the final product. I was facing a very tight deadline and I was so lucky to find Aric. I called him and within 30 minutes I was at his studio creating this masterpiece. He had many styles on the wall to show the range of what he could do. He was not your basic point and shoot photographer what was done should have taken days or weeks. We talked about my needs and what I wanted he came up with the perfect solution and took many shots while having a very easy conversation with me and put me at ease. Next thing we were going through the photos, selected a great shot and he amazed me with how quickly he could make all the adjustments that you would want while capturing a very real image. I called at 10 met with him at 1030 and by noon I was back at my office and my final images were in my email ready for my magazine article and new business cards. I am very impressed with the service, speed, and talent that Aric provided. I highly recommend Aric for any of your photography needs.

I just had an excellent experience with Aric. It was my first professional photo shoot and not only did he explain well all steps, but also was very gifted in using todays equipment, be it lighting or software to correct imperfections like shadows, wild hair, unshaved hair, dry skin, etc. to make my portrait exceptionally professional looking, adapted to my style and of this time, not the classic photoshoot of your parents. I found his price very competitive (I did shop around), he is not imposing (some photographers do not let you the option to allow them to use your portrait in their advertising) and he was very helpful in choosing tie/jacket to ensure best rendition. Your professional image shouldn t be taken for granted. They say image is everything and your image tells a very important story. I chose Aric @ Solaris to take my headshots after a I started new job and needed a photo for the internal and external announcements. Not only was I able to book him within 24 hours, my much needed headshot was ready for me to share with the world an hour later. I was able to sit with him while he meticulously touched up my photo, removing stray hairs, odd wrinkles in my clothes and glare on my glasses. Hes skilled with Photoshop, and was able to take my feedback during the process to make my picture what I wanted it to be. I pointed out a few things during the process that I thought could change, and snap, he does it beautifully - it all looks natural and beautiful. After we were all done, and I was happy with the photo - he got the finished products to me within 15 min of me leaving the parking lot with a very kind personal email thanking me for my business. I couldnt recommend Aric more. Ive only had the pleasure of one business headshot - but I will definitely be coming back for any other applicable service because the personalized experience was worth it.

Arik is the best!!!! He made my teen daughter feel very comfortable which helps make great photos. She had a bad experience with another photographer for a senior photo, so we retook photos when she needed some for sorority recruitment. The setting at Rice is great and made for truly stand out photos. Arik is truly an artist with an eye for color and lighting that will make a great photo. The retouching is mot just removal of a blemish here and there. He removed a stop sign from the photo. Her skin looked flawless and coloring was great. My very picky daughter was very happy with the results and all the people who saw them commented on how great her pictures were. Aric is amazing. I HATE most photographs of myself (as I told Aric multiple times), and I was dreading getting a headshot done. All of my fears went away the moment I stepped into his studio. We trekked from central Houston, and boy was it worth it. He took a ton of photos, and he narrowed it down to two different smile types to choose from. I will start off by saying I have never been happier with a service experience. At 830am on a Saturday morning I booked Aric on a Saturday morning for an appointment two hours later. He called to confirm the appointment, and the studio was set up and ready to go upon my arrival at 1030am. Arics experience was immediately obvious during the photoshoot and after quickly getting more than 10 high quality shots, we went right over to his computer, picked the best one, and I got to watch as he touched up the photo. The attention to detail he paid during the touchup to aspects I would never think about blew me away, and it was a wonderful experience getting to watch him work, progressing the headshot to a state I am ecstatic about. His passion for his work was obvious by the detailed and energized explanations he gave of what he was doing as it unfolded on the screen. He was happy to make the single suggested modification I could come up with at the end, making the change in all of about 15 seconds. I was out the door at 1130am and the pictures were in my inbox at 1140am, three hours after I booked the appointment. All of this, and for a lower price than I could find elsewhere at other professional portrait studios. In summary, the appointment setup was beyond convenient, the appointment itself was an unexpectedly fun experience, the product was great, and all of that for a lower price than I could find elsewhere. I will recommend Aric to anyone I know looking to have a professional headshot done in the greater Houston area.

Arics style is very unique; both in customer service and during the actual photograph session. I have had two separate sessions with him, the first one was for my 6-yr old (competition swimming) shots where he was just a shadow in the background capturing the most spontaneous shots. The second session was for kindergarten graduation pictures (at his studio) where we were greeted and made feel right at home from the second we walked in. He turned on the clown Aric in order to make my daughter laugh and to capture the perfect picture. We all three sat together to decide which shot was the best, he asked if I wanted any editing and had the photograph to me the next day. It does not get any better nor more personable than that. Sometimes you get kids pictures can be a chore for the parent; thank goodness he made the session a great experience. Definitely 5-stars but only because I cannot give him 10! Aric has photographed two different events for our family. Both times we have been absolutely blown away by the beautiful images he created. It is hard to pick our favorites because they are all amazing! He arrived early and was completely set up and ready to go before his scheduled start time. All of the required family pictures - grandparents, aunts, uncles, this group of relatives, that group of relatives - were taken quickly, pleasantly and professionally, leaving a nice window of time for the relatives to relax while he took some amazing pictures with our children. It is hard to explain how gorgeous and amazing these pictures are. He has the ability to just look around a room and create amazing images from whatever is there. For the candid pictures, Aric is a photo ninja - he slips around the room catching great images of people unaware they are being photographed. The pictures tell a great story - a daughter straightening her dads tie while in deep conversation, grandparents stealing a quick kiss from a grandchild, people laughing and talking with loved ones. The posed pictures are great, but the candid photos are the ones that make me teary with how sweet and beautiful they are. Aric did an amazing, outstanding job both times, far exceeding our expectations. When we have another big event, we will call Aric again without hesitation.

I usually take terrible pictures and Aric was able to position me and talk me through what I needed to do so he could capture the right shot. Aric did such a great job capturing the best parts of my wedding...I was having wedding day nausea. He was able to take great photos w/o being seen (like a ninja). He had great and unique ideas for staged photos and used the most flattering angles. He was able to lighten the mood (again, I was very nauseated) and help me relax. He did a great job...I will definitely have him do my next wedding (just kidding :D ) But I will definitely be choosing him to do any other professional photo sessions.

I had a head business headshot session with Aric and I must say that he far exceeded my expectations! The process was very easy, just setup an appointment online and prepay and your done. The photo session took less than 10 minutes and Aric has a personality that makes you feel at ease. I would highly recommend him for business headshots to anyone I know! We had an Amazing experience with Solaris Studios. Setting the appointment was easy and conveniently online. Aric the Photographer was truly AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable, fast and accurate.
