We all know why we come here. This neighborhood bar probably has the strongest drinks in Houston. I like to think of myself as a heavyweight when it comes to drinking, but even after two drinks here - its a done deal for me. The uncles are in full effect and if you are an attractive girl, prepare to get hit on. All in all the vibes are great, the drinks are strong and this is a decent pregame spot to begin the rest of your night.

THE BEST BAR IN HOUSTON. Now it is small so you have to get there before the crowd so that you can get a seat but other than that it is a great place to grab a cocktail. They call it DAVEN-POUR cause they POUR THE DRINKS. Very REASONABLE pricing.

Very very hole in the wall bar but the cocktails are great. They do not skimp on the quality. Parking is rare as there is little parking around and towing is enforced. I would say try it during the day as the nighttime crowd is usually rowdy.

The pour is sick. My favorite bar in the River Oaks area hands down. Free parking Wednesday night and I came on a Friday and I parked easy for free. The bartenders are hands down tipsy class A and understand the assignment. Love the vibe. Class and character for the people. Never ratchet. This is the filling station. The service sucked today 10/18/2023. Ive been patronizing thus establishment for 15 years. I came in and sat at the bar for 5-10 minutes- no bartender in sight, but maybe he was handling supply.. When the bartender funally showed up, he was very short and seemed impatient. I thought maybe he was having a bad day,, but then another black couple came in and I heard their conversation and he was very short and slightly disrespectful with them as well. I hate to play the race card, but it was out of line. Im a straight black male and about I t my business, so I know I will be labeled as the angry black man.

I had Andel Envelope than I tried piggy back both of the Alcohol was smooth I like the Angel envoy more and next I mma try the blue labeled they range there liquor from the top shelf being the most expensive to the bottle shelf being the less expensive and soon as you walk in the scotch is first on the shelf as you walk towards the back by the restroom the bourbon and whiskey is at the end. The bathroom was also clean which I m grateful and love cleanness but both restroom are unisex one one the restroom have a wine handle which I thought was very cool and fancy that and the bar was the best thing that capture my eyes also the bartender was amazing and friendly like me lastly it have a good truck and the food was great Parking: You can park anywhere and will not get towed please they have security that drive the tennis cart.

You got a love Davenport if you ve never been there, you definitely should go if you like good martinis or just a regular cocktail, Davenport is definitely the spot I mean your max should be at least one if you re not a drinker and two if you are a drinker nevertheless, it s a great neighborhood location for after work happy hour birthdays through the week on the weekend. Just hanging out with friends coming by having a good time conversation space on the seating it s really nice they just upgraded to a new color which is fuchsia Which is a beautiful color to actually fits the environment and the vibe is just really nice to always have great music playing so always you know kind of loud but it s pretty cool spot on Fridays. It gets really crowded and Saturdays and Sundays. I think the weekends are just really nice and it s just a good place to hang out if you like smoking, you can smoke outside they don t allow you to smoke on the inside which is great for me. I don t like smelling all that never to last. They got great drinks. If martini is your thing, you re definitely gonna love this spot because you can not go round with the best martinis made in Houston Stop by if you re in the Richmond Shepherd location there s a lots of eateries around so they don t sour food, but you can bring food in there if you want or have it delivered to you at Davenport s while you enjoy a cocktail they will allow you to bring food inside so it s really a cool spot and it s a right across the corner From thrill Burger and if you don t like burgers, you got salad and Chinese food and pizza all over the place nevertheless, stop by if you re in the area it s a great spot to just hang out for an hour or two you definitely enjoy it.

Theres a Hibachi Food truck a stone throw away from the front door thats sooooooo worth patronizing and Davenports lets you bring your food in. I was there last night with some friend and order my favorite chocolate martini that I rave to other about and it was not good. I asked the bartender did they change something about the drink that was when I noticed the cheap liquor that was used for my drink and others. He said Godiva liqueur was discontinued, but the replacementis cheap. First, the chocolate garnish goes away, now the bait and switch. Let me guess, someone thought they will never know. It was like watered down chocolate milk. When I saw the Juarez and Taaka Vodka in heavy use I was done. Yall can keep the cheap liquor and headaches that will surely follow. Google recipes will save me.

The Davenport is definitely my go to place for nice drinks and laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are great and very attentive when you need a drink. The decor is great. There is a lack of seating which isnt too much of a problem as long as you get there early and not with a large group. I havent had much of a problem accommodating parties of 5 or less and before 9:30. Usually a rearranging of some chairs solves the problem. Luckily for this bar they allow outside food. Which is great if you want to pick up something on your way or if you are lucky to catch the tamales guy. I definitely recommend them. Overall you really cant go wrong here. Laid back 30+ crowd with no drama. Everybody seems to be there for a nice low key evening filled with great drinks.
