I spent 40 minutes on the phone going over my case. Discussing these things makes me upset due to the issues I faced with the military and the VA not helping me. After she got all the questions answered I asked about the costs. I was told it was to be 33 percent or 1/3rd of the amount I would make. Obviously this was the most amount I d ever heard of so I told her that. They would not negotiate on price. I was crying and upset about the whole ordeal because this situation I experienced ruined my life and then I had to explain the whole situation and get worked up. Then I find out how much they are taking advantage of veterans and I couldn t stand it. Veterans, there are cheaper options out there. They do not deserve our business. We risked our lives for this country and not for others to take full advantage. Good luck

For veterans fighting their VA claims: Not bad since my case wasn t taken but do your research. CCK won t take your claim unless you have some really jacked up stuff going on so perhaps consider looking at many other law firms first before even calling them. I am at 90% and have pending claims to potentially get over the hump to 100% and even then, they didn t take my claim. Easily a mid-range 5-figure backpay.

Do NOT HIRE CCK if you have ANY PENDING CLAIMS with the VA. They will take your backpay from claims that they did ZERO work on, while taking forever to do what you hired them for. It took them OVER A YEAR to submit a TDIU claim on my behalf; and by the time they did, I was able to get MYSELF from 80% to 100%. They still had to audacity to take my back pay from something that I did prior to ever hiring them. The VA wont even think twice about sending them the money and they, as a greedy law firm, will be more than happy to take what they havent earned.

I have to disagree with the bad reviews. Veterans law group in La Jolla California had my case for 5 years and did absolutely nothing. I switched to Chisholm and Chisholm and they won my case in 2 years. Receiving my 100% now and they are working on the back pay. Remember folks theyre dealing with the VA. The VA system is Delay, Deny and Hope You Die! Dont give up because thats exactly what they want you to do. I want to thank everyone at Chisholm Chisholm law firm for doing an outstanding job!

I heard nothing but good things about them. I reached out to them before I was denied and they were very helpful. After I got denied, I tried to contact them again via internet and 2x by phone unsuccessfully. The times I called on the phones, everyone was busy and they were supposed to be returning my call. Never did. I then remembered I had their email address still. I sent them the denial letter and proof. But not one contacted me back still. I just went ahead and filed my supplemental claim on my own.

ZERO STARS. Definitely would never recommend. Its true the less your case is worth, youll receive bare minimum service if any at all. In almost a year they sent out one letter and it wasnt even to the VA. They called twice in almost a year, but I did all the calling to get any sort of status on my case. However, Every time I called, they have the same canned response, OH Well pass that on to the team The team never calls back - rarely if ever. They claim the team is formulating some plan regarding your case, but in almost a year, this supposed team never relayed to me what that plan was???? Absolutely no noteable or ANY progress on my claims or appeals within one year. There is, has been and continues to be a severe lack of communication between Attorney staff and Veteran regarding case status. In summation, I learned money talks and since my case didnt involve large amounts of money to be made representing me. This is most likely why my claims and or appeals DID NOT receive the urgency or legal attention in almost an entire year. Extremely Dissatisfied to say the least. Had an interview scheduled with this firm, but the recruiter never called. I had to block off time for nothing. On top of that, the job posting had a very low salary. Unprofessional and disrespectful of candidates time. Do not recommend this firm.

I am trying to work on a non-profit status situation with an existing non-profit. I am not sure if I just submitted my information on the wrong site, but I was suddenly hit with text messages about starting a new non-profit, then emailed, then called by someone (not from the US) about starting a non-profit. When I said that wasnt what I was looking for, this person asked if I needed help with (lists other services) and I said no, and said again what I needed help with. She said okay and hung up. It is just strange, I am glad to pass on information if this person was using the Law Firms name, but this is not the experience I expected.

Extremely professional law firm. These attorneys have argued Veterans cases all the way up the court system, and have a track record of fighting hard for Veterans benefits. My military medical record is over 2,200 pages long and I am only 50% service-connected. CCK has been pouring over the entirety of my records for months, and they are committed to getting me to TDIU. I paid them $6k to represent me before the Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. If you have over $2M in assets the government wont fund your day in court so I paid. They won a remand and that was the agreed upon metric of success and end of their agreed upon duties. However the VA denied grant on first review. I sent in documentation and asked for options. The clerks refused to let me speak to a lawyer. They would only say go somewhere else. Now sometimes on appeal you can argue ineffective counsel and you have to get a new lawyer. So I can understand if they might not be able to continue representation. But to refuse to go over options after charging me $6k is just piss-poor customer service. They technically met their obligations but they suck. Not recommended!

We began our quest to get help for my father in 1996, after he was diagnosed with Mycosis Fungoides, not to mention the many other medical issues he suffered within his body due to his active-duty station of Fort McClellan, Alabama; however, to no avail, but After almost 24 years of denial letters for service connection; after doctors and other law firms turned him away; after many letters to the Presidents of the United States; Texas Congressmen and Senators, the White House Veterans Committee, after 2 days on Facebook, after going viral we received a call from a Texas State Representative and a special visit from CNN Jake Tapper s, reporter Kim Berryman, we took the advice of a young man from Facebook who told us to call Chisholm Chisholm and Kilpatrick, they will help your dad. I was reluctant at first, as many law firms turned us away, but CC&K took the case in 2017 and 3 years later, June of 2020, my father received an approval letter for 100% service connection, in addition to SMC rating increases. Although dad had been placed on hospice, I can t explain the joy I heard in my father s voice: That s a special kind of law firm God sent to us. I hired Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD in March of 2021 to assist me in dealing with the VA. At the time, I was rated 30% PTSD. Through their diligence, investigations and thoroughness, As of September of 23, I am now rated 70% PTSD and 100% with Individual unemployability and dependents educational assistance benefits. I am receiving benefits at the 100% level. Throughout the entire time we were working together, Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick were professional in their correspondence with me and they always kept me informed of what was going on with my case. A full five stars and more if I could. In 2019 after trying to manage the maze of paperwork the VA has I found CCK. Right away, they took command and relieved me of quite= a lot of stress. I flew out of Thailand during Viet Nam and the VA was not giving us the benefits that others were receiving. CCK and their associates took over my case and fought for me until the Pact act was signed into law. They then resubmitted all of my claims and I now have =e the 100% that I deserve because of agent orange. Every time I called them someone on my team would take the time to answer all of my questions. I retained them from 2019 thru Feb 2024. I can not tell you how happy I am with CCK and recommend ANY vet who is having problems to get in touch with them. Oh, I forgot to say, all of this (the untold hours they put in) all of the paperwork, EVERYTHING was done for a flat 20% fee based on my back pay from the VA. After fighting with the VA for 7 years, I contacted CCK to see if they could help. After reviewing my C-file and other information concerning my appeal at the BVA, CCK determined they could help and decided to take up my appeal case which was at the BVA. While working on my claim, CCK kept me informed of all and any updates concerning my appeal. They submitted documents and arguments to the BVA and kept me updated on all the evidence that they were submitting on my behalf. After several months, I received a full grant of my appeal from the original submitted claim date! I have an appeal scheduled for January 3. That I have the upmost confidence with the evidence provided. However, I do not have a Representation for this appeal. I called Chisholm firm In hopes for assistance with representation As my appeal date is two weeks out. Unfortunately, I was told on the phone by a rep. That they normally need about two weeks to prepare. When I was told this, I got excited because I didn t see an issue. Toward the end of the conversation, I was told that I would not be able to secure a representative From their firm such short notice. I was very confused as I was just towed that they needed two weeks to prepare. I am currently a Disabled veteran and waited over a year for this appeal to happen, And as I said the evidence is strong. You can trust them. They are very good at what they do. I was encouraged to apply for disability, and did so on my own, but I was turned down. I was in a deep dark place, depressed, and feeling hopeless when I found CCK. It took them a couple of months to get back with me. I had given up when the phone call came. They said they wanted to try to help me if they could. If you aint got nothin, you aint got nothin to lose. It took them several years and I went through several appeals. But I finally got the relief I so badly needed. The first round came when I found myself thinking they had probably given up on my case. But no, they never did. I couldnt have done it without them. They know what they are doing and they know how to navigate the system. Be patient. They will help you. These things take time. CCK is the real meal deal. The only thing that would have made my life easier during the process would have been phone call every month or two to let me know they had not given up on me or my case, so I didnt have to worry so much. It is hard not to wonder if your case is hopelessly lost and youre never going to be helped. Just keep in mind that no news is good news. And eventually it might be very good news. CCK knows how to get results!!! Be patient. Dont freak out on them because it takes a long time. I am so glad I didnt.

After 2 years of fighting with VA to get my husband compensation for heart and other health issues and receiving nothing but denial letters I called CC&K. Do not use them - I received a denial from my Veterans Appeal. My attorney notified me that she was not certified to do federal appeals. That I must find a VA CAVC Attorney. This law firm has these attorneys. I have 120 days to appeal or I am done. I contacted them, filled out the intake process, sent them all documents and then they wanted a letter of termination of my current attorney. They email we can t help you. No reason. Told to go to DAV in KY. 214 miles one way. They can t help. So why did they tell me to go to the DAV.

I trust CCK and would strongly recommend you give them your case. Before I was doing ok on my own, until the VA began deferring my claims and handling them ham-handedly, which suggested dishonesty. I didnt know what to do. How to act. I was furious about the sudden malicious treatment of my case. But I was scared too. It was like they were prepping my case to go into a void, stripping me of my current benefits, and making it all disappear into the dark. As I said, before this turnaround I did manage to get some benefits on my own through research. And thats how I already knew about CCK and other info services for veterans on the internet. Prior to CCK, I used VA Claims Insider. But they dont do anything that you cant do yourself. In fact, they only offer guidance, and you still have to face the VA alone. I would give 10 stars if I could. I first contacted attorney Christine Clemens when she was with a different firm. She listened, for well over an hour, to me crying and ranting and really dejected. Then she asked me some questions and agreed to take my case. She advised it could take a long time and it did. She changed firms and gave me the option of taking my case elsewhere but I had no interest in a different attorney. CC&K was very good at keeping in touch with me over the years, checking in, checking up on me, explaining things when I needed. They didnt give up on me or forget me. I had found the VA very difficult to deal with, and in trying to they exacerbated my condition. CC&K pushed the Veterans Administration to resolve the case and copied me on all the correspondence, I would have give up years earlier if not for them. Then, finally a month ago I got the response I was waiting for, that I deserved! I am still ecstatic. The firm was paid directly by the VA (they work on a contingency basis) and considering all their efforts the fee was reasonable. I would highly recommend this firm if you are having trouble dealing with getting your rightful benefits from the VA. For years I tried to handle my own medical needs by applying directly to the VA Claims. However, I finally realized that after numerous rejections, somehow, I was not communicating effectively with the officials at the VA. CCK Law claims to care about serving veterans but they don t. They only take on cases that they can make a lot of money on. My claim is pretty clear cut, winnable, and important to my lively hood, but because it hasn t been pending long enough, their 20-30% payment wouldn t be enough for them to help. Very disappointed. They didn t ask for any evidence to review, only a decision letter with dates so they can see how much they d make off me. Spread the word, Don t waste your time with them.

i have been working with CCK Law since i was first denied by the VA after filing in Feb. of 2014. CCK has instrumental in getting all my claims approved and also some others added that i was not aware of how to apply. currently at this time i am now rated at 100% TDIU totally and permanently retroactive to the day i first applied. I hired CC&K based on the reviews I read on line. It was truly a very good decision! The VA denied my initial claim so I tried again via my own route. A VA outside contractor was assigned my followup claim with a 3 minute phone interview (I documented the length of the call via Verizon billing) which was denied. The contractor was a nurse practitioner. I immediately contacted CC&K which reviewed my file and decided to take my case. I am a former Lance Corporal in the Marine corps I fought in the battles of Marjah and Nowzad and was hurt when my position was attacked with 107mm rockets. My brain injury progressed to the point I couldn t work regularly in 2016. I ve been homeless since 2018 due to the Va refusal to help me.
