Food: Ordered the Trinity. Ribs and sausage were dry and tough. Service: Not as attentive as other visits but was okay. Atmosphere: We sat inside and were overcome with flies. We finally had to place napkins over the food tray to keep them off of the food. Flies and food do not pair well. Parking: Nothing to add.

Followed my nose here from my hotel down the street. Thought it was going to be a basic BBQ place and at my own fault I shouldve researched the menu before visiting. 95% of options on the menu just had way to many ingredients for my taste. It was way over complicated when all I really wanted was some southern BBQ. I wound up getting a side of pulled pork and some type of potatoes wedge as the side. The potatoes were good & salty, the pulled pork was just fatty as can be (not in a good way). I left hungry. My service from the server was not great. I asked for my check and he completely forgot about me for 20ish mins or so until he happened to walk past me for another table. The atmosphere was great and would be a totally fun place to have some drinks with friends & vibe to music. Thats why I would go back, not for the food but for the vibe itself.

Love the outdoor seating along the river. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Mixed reviews on the food. The jalapeno and cucumber margaritas were heavy on ice and light on alcohol. The giant pretzel with queso was fabulous. The Korean beef taco with kimchi had good flavor but was dry and needed another condiment.

Came here with a larger group and were excited when we saw the menu and different wood type smoke choices and also liked the location/setting right on the river. Bottom line - Sub par tasting and uninspiring BBQ dishes that were served cold, especially the 3 different taco dinners we had. Margaritas were also terrible. Two people had burgers, and said they were ok.

Wow, this place is soooo expensive for what you get. We ordered the smoked fish dip, which didnt have any smoke flavor...it did, however, have an off-putting fishy aftertaste. The sandwich was barely bigger than a slider. The bill was large, though. **The last time I was here was with company from out of town. We wanted to take them for real Texas BBQ and had heard this was the place. It was awful...to the point of being inedible. Sadly, not much has changed.

I felt compelled to write this review immediately after my meal because it was truly so so good.. First and foremost, my server, Paris, was an absolute delight. Despite being relatively new to the restaurant, she was incredibly attentive and kind. When I requested an item from the DoorDash menu (chips and queso) that wasn t on the printed menu, Paris didn t hesitate. She cheerfully said, Oh, let me check, instead of simply dismissing my request. Her willingness to accommodate didn t stop there; I also asked for toreados, which weren t listed on the menu, and the kitchen graciously fulfilled my request. The chips and queso was super tasty. The highlight of my meal was the chicken sandwich. While it s very simple, it was the best chicken sandwich I ve ever tasted. It was cooked perfectly. I elevated it even further by adding some queso and toreados, which made it absolutely perfect. The accompanying chips were equally tasty. I will definitely be returning.

The brisket I had was supposed to be lean was supposed to have no fat on it. It had more fat than it did meat. The sausage was an elk sausage with jalapeño it was OK, but it was way too dried out not good. My girlfriend had this taco with rabbit meat and other stuff in it, and it was too dry and seasoned way too hot, the server was not great. She was too worried about the way. She looked rather than helping us. I would never come back here again. I would not recommend this place. I have way better barbecue. I m not from here. I was at the Fort Worth suit today and that s why I came over here to try it Was a waste of money !

We ordered 3 dips (queso, salsa and guaca) with chips. The dips were good but we got like 15 chips for the whole table. I probably had one chip cause I didn t want to seem greedy. I ordered the brisket stuffed peppers and they tasted fine but the meal was for a small army of ants it was so tiny. No respect at all! The waiter I guess came to serve our table when we first got there but didn t say anything. We thought he was trying to get by our table, who s this guy and what s he want. I blurted out. Then we looked at him and 6 words came out of him - what do you want to drink . Alright I guess we re starting now. It was just not a great experience and maybe it was an off night or whatever but I stilll give the number of stars I gave above and stick to that and I won t go back. I d rather go to Arby s - yuck! Oh and it was so expensive! I mean I don t mind spending good money but only if it s worth it Yah mean? I ll throw away money at Arby s and then not eat their food instead of go back to Woodshed in Fort Worth by the Trinity River. Get outta here

The food is truly a horrible joke. The menu is so confusing and the waiter we had was horrible. Don t let the allure of the live music and nice atmosphere fool you into thinking this place is great, because when you take those things away, this place is nothing more than a one star restaurant with horrible food and customer service. The waiter came up to our table and said nothing for about two minutes straight. My sister asked him if he was okay because she didn t know if he worked there. He just stood there, staring at our table of people ..He finally said what do yall want to drink? So incredibly strange and beyond rude. Never experienced that before at a restaurant. He kept asking the same questions over and over and over which made us all feel like he simply wasn t listening to us. We kept repeating ourselves for the simplest of things. I truly want to expand on the quality of the food, but it would take so incredibly long to explain how each plate was absolutely horrible. We had a large party. This place is not kid friendly, so don t expect a kids menu because they don t have one. Their portions are fit for mice and their prices don t match their potions or quality of food. The food was such a JOKE. This place is an overpriced disgusting cockroach infested joke!!! We just donated $200.. ha

What a fun place!! We were visiting from out of town & so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant! The only thing I would complain about is the parking. They are situated in a corner and several businesses around them do not allow you to park in their lots there was valet parking, but we didn t see that until we were already in the restaurant. That put us going into to restaurant backwards, so we had to go around the building, only to be sat by the same hostess who told us to go around the building. It was a bit pointless, but not earth shattering, just good info to know. The food was fresh & hot. The smoked hummus was unexpectedly delicious! Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the drinks and made a great suggestion for margaritas. All in all a wonderful trip and we will hopefully visit again soon!

We dined there Friday June 7th-signs all over saying they have cool air, so we chose to dine inside to escape the heat. The window units used couldn t keep up with the summer temps but the biggest problem was the flies everywhere. Flies landed in my margarita so I couldn t finish that, then they landed on our food so we didn t finish that either. The food wasn t what I d expected for the price, even without the issues of the fly infestation. I mentioned the flies to the waitstaff and they just said yeah I know

Today was the worst restaurant experience I have had in a long while. Service was terrible, we waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and greet us. I ordered a mimosa which came out in a small plastic glass and was 90% orange juice. I ordered a water along with it that never came until I asked to send the mimosa back. We had to stop the waiter from leaving our table again to order appetizers. The food was terrible. The ribs and brisket were the worst we have ever had. Incredibly dry and flavorless. The bulgogi tacos were a disgrace I can t believe they let them leave the kitchen. They arrived with the meat thrown onto the plate, a small portion of watery kimchi, and three corn tortillas haphazardly thrown on top of everything in a stack. I would not even serve this is my own home. Will never be back.

We were looking forward to trying this place. It always looked so appealing next to the Trinity River, but I understand now why locals say it s not good. Very disappointing. If you re just looking for a drink with your dog in a small gravel area this is ok. It is very small though. No where to properly walk. If you want good food I honestly would not come here. It s way over priced too. We had a full order of ribs, nachos, the pork flatbread, and tea. The ribs were incredibly dry and tasteless, we didn t even finish them. The pork flatbread was a joke, didn t finish that either, it was a hunk of cheese with a tiny sprinkle of dried out pork, cilantro and an apple slice? It was not appetizing at all, no one liked it. Such a weird take on food too. Perhaps they re trying too hard to be different. The nacho chips were greasy and stale. For all of that it came out to just a few bucks shy of $100. Can t imagine the price if we d bought alcohol too. Aside from the food being gross, there were flies everywhere landing on people s food. Nothing around to deter them. I usually give places a second or third try, sadly I do not plan on returning here sorry.

I ll start by saying the brisket had great flavor and was NOT dry at all and it was really good, the spicy sauce was amazing not too sweet not too tangy and had great flavor, I had the bulgogi tacos as well and they were good but for the price of them I didn t get a lot I figured they would have more of a portion then they did, I didn t give a 5 star because online ordering anything is really hard there s no description of anything at all you are just guessing or you have to select each item you want to look at to see what is on it furthermore getting to the place I walk through the door and was directed by staff to go to the bar to find my order after waiting for a minute or so she comes back to me and asked me what my name was for the order then hands me my food which is no big issue but I think it could be better for customers to know where their food is going to be when they walk through the door all and all I will definitely eat here again and I will recommend this to anyone I know in the area!!! Good food definitely and the price is decent!

I was very disappointed in this place. Never been and should ve looked at the menu before coming because if I had I wouldn t have went. The tacos I got only came with meat and sour cream and some kind of sour stuff and I had to ADD a side which was the elite corn and it WAS NOT cooked all the way and instead of tajin it had paprika and it was just awful and my husbands fried chicken was nasty. The mash potatoes were bland with no salt or pepper and just burnt cheese on top. My friend got a burger and it was dry and gross. My sister got the same tacos and corn and she didn t like it either. And both kids got a cheeseburger and they were better than all of us adults food we ordered. I will never go there again and spend 150$ on wasteful food.

Updating my review yet again to reflect the sharp decline in quality we have noticed with each subsequent visit. I came in yesterday with a group of 8 people for brunch and service was terrible despite only 1/3 of tables being occupied. After waiting 45 minutes, we finally ordered our food. 40 minutes after that, our waiter came by to let us know that one of the dishes we had ordered was not available - at this point we had been at the restaurant for an hour and a half. Why did it take 40 minutes for him to realize that something we had ordered was unavailable?? We asked if our food could come in to-go boxes because most of us had afternoon plans and had not planned on being there for two and a half hours. By the time our food arrived in to-go boxes, we had been seated for almost two full hours. Our waiter never once apologized or gave any explanation as to why service was so slow. We were not looking for a free meal or anything special - just a simple, So sorry guys, we are short staffed today on waiters, or Kitchen is understaffed, so sorry for the delay, to make us sympathetic. Instead, he didnt say a word to us and would not make eye-contact for the rest of the meal (because Im pretty sure he screwed up and didnt get our ticket in after we ordered and was embarrassed). I swore off Woodshed after my last visit and only came back because someone else planned this brunch. But I am so disappointed because Woodshed used to be a Fort Worth favorite of ours and now it has been officially demoted and we will not be coming back again.

Told 20 minute wait- lots of open tables and seated after waitstaff finished tier 440 minute girl chat; food came an hour after ordering and was good but cold brisket and chips were stale. We ve been previously and enjoyed the restaurant- but probably won t go back after this visit. We d intentionally taken guests from Kansas tonight but sadly disappointed.

Genuine smokehouse BBQ place. Food was excellent, both mains and sides. The brisket was especially good with a tasty rub on the outside and a really nice smoky flavor throughout. Service was just OK, we felt a bit abandoned after the food arrived and finally had to ask another server for a check, and there were only half a dozen tables occupied at the time. Aesthetics were a bit rough; zip ties hold the curtains back, but we were there for the food anyway. Pricing and portions were good.

Took my son & his friends here last Saturday. The food is ok & overpriced. After eating a few bites of my food, a huge 2 cockroach ran across our table & almost across my plate, then back underneath the table. After telling our waitress, she said she would get the manager. Thinking he would comp a meal or offer us free dessert after this disgusting experience, he only tried to catch it & told us their exterminator had been having a difficult time getting rid of them. And that in Texas they call them water bugs. (What? So this isnt a one time thing but you have a restaurant full of these? And it was not a water bug, we looked up pictures online & it was a cockroach.) Absolutely horrifying! When he couldnt find the cockroach, he told us to let him know if we saw it again. That was it for me. I couldnt sit at a table with a huge, fat cockroach climbing around under it. I understand that bugs can be a problem at restaurants especially in places like Texas. This could have been handled so differently. If youre looking for a great place to eat, I would look elsewhere!! Parking: One valet on duty for the entire restaurant. No other options for parking & the cost is $10 + tip. He was hustling & working hard but they really need more than one on a busy Friday night. We had to wait about 5 minutes for him to take our car & about 10-15 to get our car.

Food and location are awesome. Service is absolutely terrible. The host was rude and our server forgot about us. Never gave us more water, asked how the food was, or picked up our plates. We got some food to go and waited for forever while everyone around us got their food. We really wanted to like this place but Im not sure well be back. Very disappointed overall.

Though the presentation was nice, the chips were bland and sandwich just Ok. Id give another item a try and would definitely come back again.

So I dont blame our bad experience on the waitress. It was busy and she still attended our drinks with no issue. On a Thursday night at 9pm though it took over an hour for food to come out. I ended up voiding our ticket and leaving we waited so long. Atmosphere is cool, margaritas are great, but wont go back because of the wait for food.

Had the brisket, hickory smoked, so has a sharp smoke flavor. It was very tender, good smoke ring, and just juicey enough to be good. Also had the Thai corn on the cob. Really enjoyed it. The place was busy, so our wait to order was a bit long, but food came out in a reasonable time. We sat out on the patio which is dog friendly. Others is our group had the chicken fried steak, which he said he enjoyed and liked the jalapeno gravy, but was not impressed by the potatoes au gratin as they werent sliced potatoes, and just what he called soggy mushy hashbrowns in a skillet with cheese melted on top. Another had the elotes and said they were very good. Another had the pulled pork sandwich which he said was good, but he was taken by surprise by the spicy kick the bbq had when he took his 1st bite.

I guess ultimately this first visit to one of Tim Loves restaurants did not meet our expectations. The place was packed and very noisy at 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon the tables are very close together. The service was slow which could mean too few bartenders because drinks were slow, too few kitchen staff because food was really slow. The person that took our order wasnt the same person that brought our food and we had to ask for a replacement of something that had been spilled on me by the person who did bring our food. With the exception of the beef rib (which was great) everything we got seem to be overpriced for what was received. $7 for a little cup of chips? $8 for a cup of beans? $16 and $13 respectively for an UNsmoked, fruitless Smoked Old Fashion and small pre-mixed margarita Perhaps our expectations were just too high. We may try one of the other ones sometime, but highly doubtful will be back to this one. Parking: Restaurant is near an area where people Park and walk by the river so there was very little parking available. A large chunk of the parking was taken up by valet.

Ordered to go so I can t comment on the service or atmosphere. Ordered some of lamb brisket, regular brisket and a beet and barley salad. The salad was great, the quarter pound of lamb brisket (sold by the ounce) I ordered was literally 2 bites but flavor was good. The regular brisket however was the worst I ve had at any bbq place in Fort Worth. It was very tough (like eating a piece of roast beef), but the flavor was ok. I don t like writing bad reviews, but at over $50 per person, I was seriously let down.

I had the whitefish dip with bread and chips it was fantastic, but spicy, but delicious. He has Brisket,2 shrimp and potatoes salad which was all $7 each, all good except the brisket which was very bland, rubbery, chewy no taste.Best of all was the Blueberry Cobbler ice-cream, just fantastic

Wow amazing. I had guests out of town and I just got a brand new rescue puppy. They listed here as dog friendly, boy are they friendly. Great service and the food is so delicious. We did a smorgasbord. Fish dip, potatoes aioli, brisket beef and lamb, ribs, shrimp, and potatoes salad (not a big fan of the potato salad as kinda bland). The beer draft menu was excellent and the Smokey Marie cocktail was so ridiculously good. Everyone was exceptionally nice and friendly. 10/10 I would come here regularly. If you want their s mores it needs to be a nice day as it was raining today and fireplace was out.

We had some time to kill after a conference, so went here to grab some lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised with the selection and atmosphere of the restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Large variety of drink options, as well as the food. we started off with the crispy potatoes based on the recommendation of the waitress and they were perfectly cooked and great flavor with the two sauces that came with it. We stuck with the sandwiches, ordered the pulled pork as well as the butcher sandwich. Both were very large and flavorful. I actually preferred the butcher sandwich with the varieties of meats. We will definitely come back when there is warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors even more but there are heaters and blankets available when the weather is a little bit cooler.
