Ive heard a lot about this place (all good) but was really underwhelmed when I tried it last night. There were only a few people a head of us but we ended up waiting an hour total for our order because it looked like online orders were being prioritized over the people ordering at the truck. I understand food needs to be prepared and isnt ready immediately but communicate to your customers how long it may take. Other people around us were getting irritated because of how long they had to wait as well. I was willing to wait because, again, Ive heard really good things about this food truck. Finally got the food and was so disappointed. I ordered the chicken entree. I got 5ish pieces of veggies, rice was dry and not flavored and only had one sauce. Portions are not worth the price, the wait also isnt worth it either. Maybe it was just an off night last night but overall, I dont think its worth the money or wait to try again.

If I could rate no starts I would. Eaten here a few times now food was decent. But this time I ordered the Chicken entree add shrimp on June 7, 2024. Today on June 8, 2024 I am sitting in Medical City Denton with B. Cereus after being up all night throwing up my food I had eaten. B. Cereus is reheated rice syndrome. Doctor told me certain bacteria s grow when rice isn t stored or cooked properly. Which is what caused me to have moments out of both ends of my body. A $250 co pay to the er and several fluids. I m starting to feel better again. STAY AWAY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU ALSO WANT TO GET SICK! It s not fun at all I had soiled my pants and didn t even know or feel it.

The young gentleman was not welcoming I understand he was the only one working but when we came to visit from Kansas I really wanted to try this food truck and he never greeted us and we stood there for 15-20 mins and we decided to leave. Update: I sent an email to the support email from the owner response to see if they will refund me what I spent on the veggies. If they dont I will be contacting my bank. I do not want to physically come by your truck and order again, I just want my refund! ----------- They charged me $14 plus tax (total of $15.16) for a shrimp entree, which is supposed to come with mixed vegetables and two sauces. Instead I was given a bowl of shrimp with no mixed veggies and one sauce container, which is supposed to be $11. When I came back to ask where my mixed veggies were the rude guy at the front asked me how much I paid. I said around $15, including tax. He said thats the price of a bowl of shrimp and if I got it with mixed veggies then it would have cost around $20. He said I ordered a bowl of shrimp. Uhhh no sir you are wrong and you clearly dont know how to count. $15ish is the price for an entree that is supposed to come with mixed veggies per the menu!! I was confused and wanted veggies so the cook said hed make me veggies, but the second cashier charged me a SIDE of veggies which ended up being an additional $4.50 plus tax (total of $4.87). I am so upset that I was charged for an entree price of shrimp and got a bowl of shrimp instead, then had to pay extra for veggies. I will be disputing this with my bank, you scammers!!

Confused by the various less than 5 star reviews. My experience was incredible! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I ordered the filet mignon bowl with cream sauce and my friend ordered the chicken fried rice with cream sauce. Both were prepared within 10 minutes and tasted as if we got the dishes from a full service hibachi restaurant. I m kicking myself because I always look this place over when I m at Eastside, that won t happen again!

After a couple of recommendations, I finally had the opportunity to FINALLY try TSH. Incredibly friendly staff, great turn around service. Unfortunately our order was missing 2 of the sauces, the rice was soggy and cold. The chicken entree had steamed rice, no veggies (ordered with hibachi rice with veggies). Now lets talk about the shrimp dippers...they are DEEEEEE-LICIOUS! Based on other reviews and what the individuals who recommended TSH to me, I will go back. I believe someone was just experiencing an off day and I get that. We all experience off days in life. Ill update my review in the near future after my next visit.

they no longer offer the chicken dippers, so I opted for shrimp instead. I *literally* asked if they devein the shrimp. They said yes, they do. Got home, bit into one-- vein. Tore a few more open, because maybe it was a one-off. Nope. Every single shrimp had veins in them. I spent $9 and I had to throw my food away tonight.

The crispy tofu bowl is PERFECTION! I m obsessed with their crispy tofu, I ve tried to recreate it at home, but it never comes out as good as it is at The Saucy Hibachi. The hibachi sauce and the cream sauce are both great! Service is good and you get your food in a decent amount of time.

You know how when you order ANYTHING with a protein it s always some sort of miniscule sliver???? Well they don t do that. I even got what s typically considered a luxury protein: shrimp. I ve eaten more than half of my $13 portion and there s much more shrimp left than anything else which I personally reeeeaallly appreciate. And the shrimp is cooked/seasoned perfectly which seems to be really difficult for most restaurants I order from. So good and always worth the price and wait I love saucy hibachi so much.

I am an Uber Eats driver and as far as customer service goes, every time I ve gotten an order here which has been quite a few times ( even if I have a pickup before this one ) I have always had to wait. The fact that they seem to wait to make the food until I arrive, is unacceptable. Having to wait 10-15 minutes for a pickup after being told 5 minutes affects me as a driver and I m sure customers when they get food late. They need to do better.

Ive enjoyed Saucy Hibachi several times through Uber Eats. Finally went there tonight after work, to grab some food on the way home. I had the Wagyu Beef 9oz this time. Full of flavor in every bite! I had the terriyaki noodles with it, first time having them and I will definitely order them again. Shrimp dippers are a must, they are the best! Joseph is a great cook/cashier. Very friendly service.

This was my first time coming here.. I was in the mood for hibachi late at night so I found this hidden gem The shrimp dippers was to die for it was so crispy and the sauce that it came with just made it perfect. I wish I didnt eat it so fast. The chicken bowl was just enough to make me full. The only thing that I would say was it was a lil salty. So please ease up on the seasoning or what ever you guys use. Also the wait time for the food was longer than expected..but i cant say much about that because at least it was fresh...so if u do visit please expect for food to take maybe 15 to 20 min or longer depending on the order. Other than that I will definitely return to give it another try. So if u hear a ease up on the salt please... that might would be me lol. Thanks for being open late!

We savored every bite of the hibachi tofu fried rice, fish hibachi fried rice, and chicken hibachi rice we ordered for takeout. The flavors were superb and exceeded our expectations, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Bringing the food home to enjoy in the comfort of our own space was an added bonus, making for an overall wonderful experience. Fast food of hibachi: Meat was cooked right, but next to no flavor other than salt and pepper. Rice was overcooked and mush with over-powering green onion flavor, and like the meat, no hibachi flavors. Ordered from every food truck in the square simultaneously and Hibachi took twice as long, 30 minutes to deliver utterly ordinary and over-salted yet somehow bland food. At least 5 people who ordered afterwards got served similar meals first a full 15 minutes ahead of us. Nothing special here and not worth your dollar.

It was my first time trying the food. What can i say, it exceeded my expectations by a lot!!! We were at Eastside bar last night with our pomeranian. I could tell she was hungry. I went to the Saucy Hibachi food truck and asked if I could just get a small bowl of unseasoned chicken for my dog. Girlfriend and I have been going here for years now, since we were in school at UNT. Somehow, even during record inflation and ballooning food prices, theyve managed to keep their menu priced more than reasonably for the large portion sizes. The food is always delicious, with lots of options. The thing that made me write this review today though was the customer service we received from Marco. We ordered our tofu entrees with white rice instead of hibachi rice, as neither of us eat eggs. When we discovered our food had hibachi rice in it, my girlfriend went and told Marco about the mix up. No questions asked, he made us two new entrees and walked them over to our table, and apologized sincerely. Feeling bad, I went back to the window to order a drink so I could leave him an additional tip. After handing me the drink, he told me to not worry about paying. This has been our experience every time with the guys running this trailer: always great food with even better customer service.

The food was pretty good! I got the marinated filet mignon with fried rice entree. The price really isn t that expensive as other reviews say, unless you get the waygu, but you can t blame the restaurant for the price because that cut of meat is expensive anywhere you go. The portion was enough for two people, my boyfriend and I shared the meal and we still had a little left over. The only issue I had with it is that the filet mignon was not marinated as the name says, it just tasted like meat. That s the only reason I m giving it a 4 star review. The sauce made a huge difference, I really liked the cream over the hibachi. I personally don t like egg yolk so maybe the fried rice wasn t the best idea for myself. My boyfriend loved the fried rice though. The vegetables were okay, it was mainly zucchini but I m not complaining because it was at the bottom of the container so I didn t really notice it. The employees working were very nice and answered all the questions I had. I would recommend this place and I probably will be back again, I might not get the filet mignon though.

Getting food again and I can t believe they re open till 2 AM on Friday .that s so perfect for my situation. My food arrived earlier than expected. It was beyond incredible but they forgot my rice. I m going to forgive this because of the high quality of the food.

We had never been here before and just asked simple questions about the menu in which we got very rude responses too. It made it difficult to know what to order cause he clearly didn t care enough to answer our questions and was rude the whole time. I ordered the crunchy tofu with some steamed rice and the tofu was good but it was very sparse and the sauce was unflavorful. We also ordered the waygu sliders and they were disappointing for the price.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! We come here regularly for date night. The price is decent and the food is absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed getting to know Kevin and his team, and we have always had fantastic customer service! We highly recommend checking out The Saucy Hibachi, our favorite is the filet mignon entree, the noodles, and the chicken dippers are soooo good! Theyre worth checking out, weve never had a bad experience, and we love when they add new things to their menu!

I called placed a pickup order and when I got to where my gps took me I was in front of a bar. Being that I m not from the area I called to ask for better directions and was hung up on. Pretty disappointed. Got food here, it was way over salted and super over priced. They also gave me the wrong sauce. The rice was over cooked and clumped together in a congealed mass. Ended up just having to throw it away and for this price pretty sad. I wont be back and I wouldnt recommend anyone else come here either.

I really love their food, but I ordered through UberEats tonight and received no sauce with my order. I got the filet with veggies and rice, and the jalapeño chicken dippers, and picked three sauces for my order. I m bummed because that s one of the main reasons I ordered from them- I was daydreaming about the hibachi and ginger sauces. Oh well.

Went to get some dinner tonight here and ordered the chicken bowl. I mustve looked lost because the cashier tried to charge me extra like I wouldn t notice before I had to correct him and tell him my actual order again which was the chicken bowl. This place smells amazing, but taste horrible! You can t even access the actual flavor because it s always heavily salted (had to throw mine away) so BEWARE. Maybe ask for no salt and see if that changes anything. The customer service is subpar as well. No actual greeting and lack of customer service skills, not sure if it s because I m darker or what. This place needs to step it all the way up!!

Their salmon is sashimi grade so they said I could get it cooked however I like. I got it medium well (basically how you re supposed to cook salmon so it isn t overdone) and it was super moist and flavorful! Better than some salmon I ve even had at a steakhouse. They also let me get like one of every sauce without an upcharge!

Tried it and wasnt too impressed. Tasted bland and dry to me. Ordered the chicken bowl and tofu bowl. The amount of chicken and tofu was not good. You only get like 6 pieces then its mostly rice. Ordered through Uber Eats tonight. Ive really enjoyed the food since I discovered this place, but there was a hair in my marinated filet entree tonight. My hair is long and blonde while the hair I found in my food was short and dark. I get that things happen (I work in the food industry myself), but I hope you guys will take better precautions to avoid this in the future.

I ve had my fair share of food truck meals, but this takes the cake. I ordered the filet mignon bowl with my fried rice, and my pupils legitimately dilated the same way I first fell in love. My sister and I made multiple visits here and used Door Dash just to receive salty and mushy rice more than once. I thought the first time was an accident but when it happened again and again... I realized it was no mistake. My sister also once ordered the large noodle bowl and got hurt to see a small amount of noodles. She expected the same type of portion you d get for a rice bowl but nope. We have never returned and won t. I get sick to my stomach now at the thought of Saucy Hibachi. Should be Salty Hibachi.

Ive been seeing the 5-star reviews lately and wanted to try this place. I finally got my opportunity last night when it was my turn to cook and I pulled up Uber eats to make things easier on myself and my family and I saw it listed as one of the top eats and decided to take the plunge. Before I could practically blink an eye, my food was on my doorstep in Providence Village (it was probably actually 30-40 minutes but seemed really fast coming from Denton). My dog smelled it first and from his reaction, I knew we were in for a treat. I got the small chicken bowls for my daughters and the steak (filet mignon) entre for myself. Everything was fantastic, especially the beef. It was beyond tender and flavorful and the portion size was excellent for the price. It was more than enough for my dinner and lunch. We will 100% be back. Cant wait to try the wagyu if the filet mignon was that good.
