We had a new waiter called Cam attend our table and ordered our meats, towards the 3rd round to order our choice of food, we ordered premium chadol only for Cam to come back 30min later to tell us They ran out of beef . When Cam could ve came and told us sooner but instead was prioritizing a certain table when the restaurant was slow and ignored us majority of the time. By far the worse service I ve had from this Gen KBBQ.

Just came here to eat with my family a few days ago and I had Kyla as my server. Ive had her multiple times and she is always great to us. She remembered some of our orders so it was nice to see that she was observant. Food is always good and they have so many new drinks. She convinced us to try the premium menu and it was very delicious. I know these kids work so hard and off of tips and we take care of her so therefore she always takes care of us.

Not sure what was the staffs deal today 09/19/2024 but our server and host had attitude problems. First of all, we get sat by the red hair girl who s the host. Our server, Kyla, doesn t greet us at all and plainly asks what do you want to drink? we tell her, then asks if we like rice and salad and that s it. She only brings those two and drinks but none of the side dishes like kimchi, mashed potato, etc. In the corner we see our host walking by giving us side looks a few times. Kyla hardly checked up on us, only came and asked us what kinds of meats we wanted twice, neglected our grill (as it was burning) and brought our meats very late, even after we asked for the check. We also noticed she was being more friendly with her other 2-3 tables but us. We didn t come in with an attitude, we thanked her each time (the only times) she brought us something. We had her as a server in the past and she had a good attitude, but I am not entirely sure what we did for her to treat us this way and single us out this day in particular. Sadly, it ruined my experience and appetite (because I genuinely love this place) but I won t be returning anytime soon.

We visited a few months ago during Memorial Day weekend and frankly one of the worst Korean BBQ we ever have. 1. Several appetizers we wanted to order (hence choosing this restaurant) were not available. My son was so disappointed and we were charged the same AYCE price regardless. 2. Japchae and tofu soup - they are a joke. I don t expect authentic, but they are not japchae or soondupu. Big disappointment for my husband and we would rather not ordering it at all. 3. It was not that busy during our visit (late afternoon on a long weekend yet only one row of tables were filled). However, the kitchen can t seemed to fill up orders coming their way. We repeatedly placed the same order numerous times after kept waiting for so long, yet the order came only twice during our entire meal. Some of the meats were seasoned really well and delicious, others were mediocre and quality not good. After kept waiting for so long for our meat orders, we fed up and left. I heard good things about Gen in other locations from friends and saw good Google reviews here, so planned this restaurant as a highlight of our mini staycation. It was a big disappointment and we would rather stop by McDonald s across street from NASA. Definitely won t go again when we visit the area and probably not even other locations after having such a bad experience.

This used to be our favorite spot since it first opened but unfortunately the service and even the restaurant has gone downhill. Their ac is leaking, them knowing it leaks on some tables and yet they still sat us down where it was. like nobody wants dirty water on their plate. We also went on a Monday, for the most part it was slow and so was the waitress. She was just sitting down talking to other workers really disappointed

We love coming here for dinner but the last three times have been very disappointed as they always run out or don t have what we like to order! The last two times we called in advance to make sure they had what we liked available and they told us yes and as soon as we sat down we ordered and they told us they had ran out. Came to a korean BBQ restaurant expecting to eat some real korean BBQ. The proper banchan (side dishes) were not offered. And the selection of some of the side dishes were quite poor. The kimchi which is a staple on any korean establishment was sub par. Lesson learned, do your research before coming to a restaurant for the first time.

Wow , where do I begin. Several items are not on the menu. The service took forever to get our meats. I actually timed the spicy bulogogi to 23 minutes. The server kept on telling us that everyone in the restaurant ordered the same thing. What so bad about this excuse the restaurant was not halfway full of customers. This is the second and last time we visited this location. The restaurant seems to always be short on staff. We ordered several items which we never got. Instead, we got items we never ordered numerous times. Its very frustrating. Dont bother to visit this place . You are already paying a good price just to get very low quality service. Its not worth your money. Just go to to the downtown location or the one on the west side. This location is just an imitation of those locations...

Had a blast here. You won t leave hungry. Dinner is about $40 per person all you can eat. Includes steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, & sides. There s more available but for the 40 bucks it s worth it. It was our first time here, and we were delighted! The table-top grill was a new experience for us, and Amber, our server, did a great job of explaining everything. I ve been here several times and I ve noticed over time that the service has declined. Food is excellent as always but today I had several set backs in my dining experience. Our server was extremely nice but he did get a few things I said wrong and brought a different item instead or brought less than I asked for so I had to ask several times. I asked for sauce about 3-4 times and then got the wrong one after I finally received something and had to ask someone else for the correct one. There were few instances where we had to pause eating to wait for refills. Overall it was good but I hope next time it s a lot easier to get what you ask for.

First time coming here, and Quyen was amazing to say the least. Had so many questions and was super helpful throughout the whole meal. Our server Cam gave us a great service; very quick and attendant to his tables, replacing the grill at the perfect time each time. My brother always gets excited when he has him at a table. The plates of meat are delicate and delicious; the lunchtime menu is really affordable for the quality of food youd recieve. The dining room is very clean and the booths are big so you can privately hangout with anyone you want. This is my new favorite spot for lunch!

Food was delicious. We had a group of about 12, and it felt like the service was spotty. Took a while to get our orders,to change grills, and some food would never arrive. Waiters were friendly despite this. Vegetarian options: Very limited options for vegetarians. We had one in our group, and the only options are some of the appetizers, and a soup. Although we never recieved the soup despite asking twice.

My husband and I took two Gen Z young men to Gen Korean BBQ. Tried several beef cuts: bilgogi, teriyaki beef, and beef belly in red wine. Then we ordered garlic chicken and Korean fried chicken. The waitress, Jen, was awesome and switched out Barbecue grill after we cooked up the beef. You wont be surprised to cut your meet with scissors after reading this -- its the way to do it Korean style. Atmosphere was great. K-pop music was not interfering with the conversation. Good Korean BBQ spot. The bulgogi here is much tastier than I have had at others. However the beef short ribs were not the best I ve had, but still good. The garlic pork belly was also a highlight. Service is top notch, very attentive.
