Best classic feel here. The environment was welcoming, and the drinks were awesome. Dont bounce around to find the strongest drink. Stop in here and stay awhile.

Visiting from out of town, walked in because it had been recommended as a good place to try. Ask for a drink menu, and they said they didn t have one.. they had nothing else to say, but continued to talk to previous guests there. We stood there for several minutes and were never acknowledged so finally left.

Had a terrible experience, racism from the patrons and no repercussions of actions. Caucasian male at the bar yells and openly talks/jokes about black voices/face. I asked to speak with the owner about the open racism at the bar and she replies with confusion and says the guy normally doesnt do that(audio attached). If I was to openly speak about any race I would be removed but this bar decided to do nothing about the malicious actions from this male

If we could give this bar a zero for the late night service we would. Day service was amazing and hospitable. Im from out of town and was recommended this bar by the bartender down the street. A women passed out on the floor unresponsive from the bar and when I questioned the gentleman sitting next to her, the bartender Katie responded she was rolling around, she was fine. The women and husbands / significant others thanked me for being a gentleman. The reaction of the rest of the bar was to ask me if I was with her, my immediate response was no, I dont know this woman. You would think lady to lady, there would be more respect and concern. I, personally, would not come here if your safety is a concern. Ive been a chef for 10 years and my fiance is a bartender. If she or I, or anyone in an establishment where were from reacted to that situation the way she did, she would never have a job in hospitality for the rest of her career. Completely unacceptable.

OMG how much fun is this place! This circular bar can do no wrong and neither can the staff that works it! Such fun people and such great deals for happy hour drinks! We literarily broke out into dance when Madonnas Hung Up came on! Thank you for letting us be ourselves between this bar and NotsoH there is nothing that can compare to a Downtown Houston day of day drinking - make Warrens Inn your stop as its an inevitable part of your pub crawl.

Warren s is a great spot for cheap, strong drinks and no-nonsense, straightforward service. Not exactly a dive bar but it s close. A comfortable, anti-fancy, come-as-you-are type of place you can slip into like your favorite slippers. No lines, no cover charge, no pretentiousness but also not overly warm and fuzzy. Historic in Houston s bar scene, Warren s is a get what you see kind of place. Rules: bring your ID, don t walk in just to use the bathroom, and know what you want. There s no trendy seasonal cocktail menu and it s a relaxed slow pace here. Don t be that impatient guest waving their credit card or chasing bartenders They see you and will get to you soon. At Warren s, be kind and cool and you ll be treated even more kindly and cooly. Alternatively, if you play stupid games you ll win stupid prizes.

Came in here a couple hours ago, asked for a non alcoholic beer (because I dont drink) bartender tells me she doesnt feel comfortable serving me because I look drunk. I was maybe tired from traveling all day but was definitely not intoxicated in the slightest. Read the reviews and apparently shes just racist and probably thought I was Hispanic. They are clearly buying their reviews. Avoid this place! Avoid old cat lady with glasses behind the bar as well. She has no place in customer service.

if i could give this place 0 stars i would, me and my friends came to this place after having a great night only for us to end up fighting with not ONE but TWO people that worked there, we have never experienced a racist encounter until we stepped into this old hole in the wall place! If your a person of color please do not walk into this bar. Even some customers who were sitting at the bar told one of my friends that the old lady (who was the bartender) was very much racist. I hope this place gets shut down! Seriously the worst experience ever.

This was my favorite place. I hadnt been in many many years, but we were in recently and I ordered what I always used to order, a Grand Gold (margarita on the rocks with grand marnier), but was told they dont have the fixings for it. Ordered a Hendricks Gin Tonic instead. Although very strong, it was a Bombay (not a fan). The juke box seems to have been updated (though thankfully still had some really old classics like Cab Calloway).

Yes, it s a Houston staple, yeah they are some solid pours, but the rude staff isn t cute anymore. Particularly the older female bartender with the glasses. She was so unpleasant and wouldn t even serve water because according to her the time doesn t change for them until everyone has left. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Great little hole in the wall place. Have to apologize about the little jukebox war we were having. Didnt want to listen to religious country music while trying to decompress. (Jesus take the Wheel, etc) so our choices may have been a bit heavy handed in response. Great drinks and atmosphere. A must visit if youre looking for a mixed drink bar.

Been coming here for years. Dont let the negative reviews fool you. This place is an institution for their DRINKS! Be an adult & just order your drink. Dont get in your feels if they take their time. Just start a conversation with a new friend or play on your phone. You will get your drink and you will definitely get your moneys worth. Had my wedding after-party here bc you can beat the available space, drinks, and vibe!

It is what it is. I would go to this place 25 years ago... and I walked in the other night and it was EXACTLY like it was back then. Nothing had changed. 25 years ago this was one of the oldest watering holes in Houston, now its a landmark. The owner and staff arent there to be the trendiest place, they just serve drinks. This place has been popular with downtown locals since the rebirth of downtown, and the old timers. If youre looking for something different that an actual bar, look elsewhere.

Bar was rather empty - 4 people. The bartender spent his entire time talking to two people with his back to me. He never turned around to see if I wanted a second drink. Once he glanced at me but did not engage. Never even looked at me when he served the other patrons what appeared to be a free drink (none for me). Hard to ignore a person at the bar for over 10 minutes when the bar is the size of walk-in closet. But the bartender did indeed accomplish this feat.

Was at La Carafe and had an amazing time enjoying the history of the place and the bartender was amazing with conversation and showing us around. Headed to Warrens because he suggested it because we enjoyed our time with him. Noticed the mask policy on the door. I put my mask on and my friend was wearing a mask. I got to the bar, and took it off to sit down. There was 2 females to the left with no mask and 2 males to the right with no mask and a female behind the bar with no mask. The very large/tall female bartender with a mask came quickly over and told me to put my mask on. I asked her even while Im sitting i need to wear one? And she replied yes in an unfriendly tone. I wasnt going to argue because I was out exploring the town I dont know much about. What I do know about Warrens, Ill never be back because of this experience. I respect business policies 100 percent. I dont respect unprofessionalism, bias or prejudice.
