One of my favorite bars in the city. I love the atmosphere and the people- very few will be honest enough to tell you that they can make what you would like if you wish. I love that they really are honest if they can or cannot.

One Armed Scissor is a Tier One spot for any respectful and reasonable guest to enjoy great company and libations. The bartenders make amazing cocktails - I m certainly quite picky about my Manhattans. The environment is very friendly, laid back, and inclusive. Living downtown, this has quickly become one of my favorite spots to visit. It s hard to find a place that s both unpretentious and high-caliber. It s obvious that a lot of thought and care are put into everything here. I d use the utmost caution when reading any negative review of this bar. The staff are not only great at their jobs, but also very patient and welcoming toward all - even those who don t deserve it. 5 stars!

Very cool location downtown. The cocktails were amazing, and we weren t expecting the fire on the Baxter (very cool). My girlfriend and I have the smallest complaint and that is that we thought there might be more atd-i related decor/maybe some music playing. Maybe we should have requested it! We drove a little bit to head into Houston just to check the place out after wanting to go for a while. It s hard to fault the business for this as it might have been something we put in our own heads prior to coming. Will visit again when we re downtown for sure.

For a Friday night it seemed a little slower when I was there however, as it was the last stop that wasnt a bad thing. I had a ton Collins which was good. I did like the more relaxed environment of it. Seems like a good place to stop and have a druken discussion of movies, comics and what not. Especially since they have some pieces that remind me of my childhood. Ill definitely be back, I can see this as a good first or last stop on a crawl.

I highly recommend the gin and bitters-infused tonic. I didnt have anything else on the menu, but the quality of that cocktail alone gives me confidence that everything they offer is probably pretty good. And $8-12 for a cocktail where they pay THIS much attention to each ingredient that goes into it isnt bad.

In town on business, found myself wandering downtown and came upon this place. Cool vibe, unpretentious. Awesome bartender (sorry, forgot her name) who suggested and made an excellent cocktail. Chatted with a couple of cool dudes, one of which turned out to be the self proclaimed OG , Mr. Molina himself. Laid back guy, who even comped me a shot of some pretty damn good tequila (damn if I forgot the name of the tequila too). But as OG Molina kept having his bartender serve him up some different drinks, he went from cool, to downright ornery. Other than that, a good visit.

Absolutely fantastic & complex cocktails! Also, this bar is like a relaxing oasis in the middle of downtown. We ve been meaning to try this new spot for a while and finally made it out here! I highly recommend the Trinidad James cocktail. Great service, drinks, and ambiance on par with Anvil and Better Luck Tomorrow in my opinion. We ll definitely be back!
