Food is great and i see the intention, however by the time i got the food it was cold. Make sure you take about two hours of your day to dine because that s how long the take for everything. Atmosphere is amazing and it s clean but the other attributes of this place really make it a hidden gem and make it keep it that way. I hope to see some administrative improvements.

This is a scaming place. Look out for unknown menu with different price on wine that shows up on final bill. Manager is arrogant when you dispute the charge. States owner agrees with his tactic.

We just had the most god-awful time at this restaurant. Staff was rude. The food was awful. I ordered a hamburger medium and it came out over well done. My brother ordered a steak and it came out well done and he ordered medium as well. The real problem when it was time to pay the bill and they charged us $80 for a bottle of wine that was listed as $40 on the menu . This guy who was this really big scary guy came out and told us that it was too bad that the price was wrong in the menu and we needed to pay the $80. He was yelling and screaming at us and scaring my 99 year old mom.. Stay away from this place.!

First time visiting and we will definitely be back as this place is a hidden gem! My husband and I stopped by for dinner on a Friday. After reading the reviews, we made a reservation for 6:45pm but it wasnt necessary because the place wasnt busy yet. The restaurant is beautiful, service was quick, attentive, and thoughtful - and the food....oh, but the food is amazing! I started off taking pictures but as the meal progressed, I forgot all about it because I was super enjoying the meal. I ordered an Italian margarita (which was huge and only $6!) and my husband ordered a 5x5 draft beer. Both drinks were tasty and on point. We next ordered their goat cheese appetizer and it was an explosion of flavors! I didnt remember too take a pic until after wed finished. Next came the chicken saltimbocca that we shared because the portions are large! It was so very well prepared and positively delicious. We ended dinner by sharing a very generous portion of tiramisu, which is truly the best weve tasted. Please dont hesitate to go. This is a stellar establishment in every way!

There was no wait on Wednesday evening at 6. The interior was very nice and comfortable noise level to enjoy table conversation. Our server was nice but forgetful at times. They only had one chianti wine, of the 2 offered, in stock, which is odd, and only 2 bottles of that. The goat cheese appetizer was excellent, but $5 for a small loaf of foccacia bread was a bit high, and we had to order 2 for our table. The wedding soup was just ok, very little broth. The house salads that came with the meal were great, and the house dressing was excellent. But we were told that starting tomorrow, salads would not be included with the meal. The salmon dish was very good, but the shrimp carbonara dish had way too much heavy cream in the sauce. The chicken marsala was ok, but the pasta was so overcooked. When you tried to twirl it on your fork, it would fall apart into small mushy bites. We didnt get to order dessert. At 8.15, they turned on very bright spot light fixtures to encourage everyone to leave. They close at 8. It worked! We still had to ask for our bill. We were disappointed, we were invited by one of the couples as this had been one of their favorite restaurants. I doubt we will return.

This place was a horrible experience. I have been to this restaurant many times and this was by far the worst service I had. I arrived before closing time and they gave me a table but told me I needed to order right away which I did. I hadn t even received my food as the owner walked by yelling 10 minutes till you need to leave and then yelled music off . We finally received our food which was pizza and it was all burnt. Our waiter only showed up twice to take our order and bring the food we even had to ask for our bill. The last straw was when the owner turned off the light in the middle of us eating indicating us to leave. This was outrageous to receive service like this at high quality Italian restaurant. Afterwards I went to provecho y salud which was way better service and atmosphere plus they didn t turn off the lights on us. Highly recommend.

We would be regulars because the food is amazing! Its beautiful and you can tell the owner loves the place. We expect the wait times for the food but we can sit there for up to 10 minutes just for someone to get your drink order (it happens so often, we just went ahead timed it). Whats worse is that you can see staff standing in the hallway conversing, and yet you cant even get a glass of water. The first time we went we thought, oh well its kind of busy; couldnt see our waiter anywhere on the floor and when we asked a passing waiter for drinks, they said it wasnt their table but that they would tell our waiter... Then our waiter came and asked us again, it just seemed petty. The second time, we took the family and everyone in our party of 7 commented on how the waitress just disappeared so you cant even wave for help. The third time we went we sincerely wondered if this was one of those theme restaurants where the staff is rude... Like for fun. This last time we went we were seated and felt forgotten. By the time the waitress came we had our drinks and meals ready to order. Not once did she come by to ask how everything was even though she passed by us several times. What I did notice was that they are very quick to clear empty plates and cups. Were patient people, and the food is incredible. I didnt know if it is worth the terrible service. Well hope they read this and when we go back to have a better time.

The place is very nice but the service was very slow, the drinks were very bad, I ordered a soup and it literally had no flavor, almost water, they served it with a coffee spoon and not with a soup spoon, I asked for the largest size and it was like a quarter cup I even looked at it and it made me laugh, I gave it three stars because the only thing that was delicious was the salmon

Our evening was problematic from the start. Reservations we made ahead of time but proper arrangements were not made to accommodate our group. The service was lacking all the way around. We had one server/waiter who did take time to refill out drinks but that was the only hint of anyone checking on us thru out the evening. 2 of our guest ordered first,they are older and it took over an hour for their meal to arrive,no explanation as we did inquire about the long wait on 2 occasions. Their food was not hot it was not warm it was cold and some of it had to be sent back. We did have a party of 10 and the tip of course is included but I felt cheated and uneasy about the tip but paid it any way. Everyones food was pretty much cold or luke warm. Have been to Collettis on several occasions and this was the first time this had happened. I was certainly embarrassed and left thinking what is going on due to no answers given. We had 2 guest from out of state who were attending that evening which we had shared with about Collettis and what a nice experience it would be. Unfortunately it was the complete opposite.

We got there an hour or so before closing, we where then guided to table that wabble like a seesaw. Then it took about 5-10 minutes for a server to get to us. We told them about the table and we were able to get another table, however the server didnt even get our drinks or order. We again waitied about 5 minutes before the owner/manger pass by and saw us not getting any help so we get the server 2 minutes later, we order our drinks and food, one of the drinks had to be changed since they were 86 on hot tea. Then they took about 15-20 minutes to let us know they were 86 on both of orders (a burger and a pasta). We just left after wasting about 40 minutes in this fiasco. Would not recommend.

First time there and the atmosphere was great, the food was amazing, and our server was sweet (shout out to Alyssa), but the wait was...antagonizing. There was an expected wait to be seated (for 2 persons), but about an hour wait for our 2 cups of soups first to arrive and then roughly another 30 minutes for main dishes to arrive, albeit there was a big party present before we got seated. Alyssa was sweet to check in on us, and very apologetic for the wait. Would like to go again, but will maybe avoid Saturdays or when large parties are present.

Just wow! We were Bird Festival visitors looking for a dinner place. From first to last bite? Scrumptious!! Light-as-air garlic baguette, basil tomato soup with swirl of cream, crisp side salad with tangy sweet house dressing. Saltimbocca with chicken, prosciutto, fresh sage, artichoke in a lemon butter wine sauce. Perfectly seared jumbo scallops on spinach bed with almonds, roasted tomatoes and habanero apple onion sauce. We decided on Collettis for dinner. Never have been here before. We were so surprised as soon as we walked in. The décor was outstanding. We were greeted by a young lady who showed the four of us to our table. A very nice young man welcomed us to Collettis. It took us all a few minutes to chose our entre. The meal came with a side salad and bread with garlic butter. We each had something different. Two of us left with a doggie bag. We met Jo the owner. She is a very proud and gracious owner indeed. My husband & I are in the area for a couple of weeks on business. We visited Colettis based on its excellent online reviews. It did not disappoint! The atmosphere, food & service was excellent! We had a wonderful evening. They have a fairly extensive menu with many delicious sounding dishes. However, we were really craving their brick oven pizza which was very good! We started with the fresh fried mozzarella & ended with the espresso gelato. Everything was perfect! Its a place you can dress up for or go casual in shorts, jeans, etc. There was a mixture of all types of attire. Its a great atmosphere for anything, honestly... Family outing, GNO, business dinner, etc. Very nice atmosphere for a romantic night out as well. Its quite a large restaurant with ample seating indoors as well as a fairly large patio. They also have live music on the weekends. We were very impressed & felt that the prices were surprisingly low compared to other similar type restaurants. The quality of food reflected a much higher price than what was listed on the menu & thats always a pleasant surprise. We definitely plan to go back before we have to leave! Dietary restrictions: They do offer some gluten free & vegan options.

My chicken parm wasnt what it used to be....I asked Marcus whom is part of the wait staff. He stated the chef is now pan frying the cutlet. This definitely changed the original taste and presentation. The change in preparation leaves much to be desired. This doesnt work for the food. We got 2 pizza pies, started with bruschetta and my partner had a chocolate martini. Bruschetta was fantastic, pizza is perfect and my partner said the chocolate martini was the best he d ever had! Let me start with saying I haven t gone to this place on a few years because the food quality lessened in my opinion. I tried it again recently and not only did the food quality stay the same but the service was horrible. Our waitress was inattentive and dismissive to our group. We even asked other staff if they could get the manager and they refused. At that point, it s not even worth the trouble, so I just take the loss and move on. I am genuinely disappointed as it used to be such a good place to enjoy a meal. That said, I won t be coming here again and neither will anyone in my group.

This past weekend my girlfriend and I chose Colettis to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, and we couldnt have picked a better spot. We chose to sit outside on the patio and listen to Los City Boys, which is an awesome band! Dez, who was taking care of us, was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive and welcoming and accommodating and polite and professional, without being intrusive. Will definitely ask for Dez next time we go! The patio atmosphere is perfect for an evening outdoor dining experience: the building blocks the sun, and as night sets in, the patio lights come on, and the mood is set. And I dont know how they do it, but we did not see one fly or mosquito the entire time we were there. Dont forget to try Colettis delicious cheesecake!

Ordered Cremini Shrimp as you will see below only 3 Shrimp, also 3 slices of mushrooms in it as well for $17. We called because thats pretty high for pasta and what was supposed to be a shrimp with mushroom dish it was not! You can see even the sauce hardly covered the pasta! STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I had this dish over a month or so at lunch time and had 6 shrimp and much cheaper so why would anyone expect less protein for dinner. You paid for more pasta and it was bland as can be! We called to place order and they said very busy and 25 mins but they were empty and my husband said when came to pick up he didnt even need to give his name because he was the only order. Food tasted great, the pizza was fantastic, but the portion size of their soups and the service was terrible. First, we were told that they were out of pizza plates and that she hoped the appetizer plates would be ok. Whatever, that s fine. Except I then saw another table seated after us with pizza plates . Not a big deal but odd. When I asked for a pizza box for my left-over pizza, she said we only give pizza boxes for to-go orders except I literally watched the couple next to us, who dined in, get a pizza box for their left-over pizza which was clearly not a to go order. Then we got a bowl of soup to go that I m not kidding, was MAYBE 3/4 of a cup. It was also $6. We asked the waitress if it was maybe mistaken for a cup of soup and she said, no, that s a bowl and just walked away. I later learned that our waitress was handling a big table, which was likely the reason for the strange behavior: basically she was too busy and taking shortcuts. I get it, handling a big table is not easy by any means, but that doesn t justify providing sub-par service to everyone else.

I had chicken marsala, which had more of a heavier brown gravey to it. It was good, but I prefer a lighter sauce. He tried the lasagna, which wasnt spicy enough for him.

My first time there. First the waitress only offered the salads with only two salad dressing choices. Soups were not even mentioned. I ordered the grilled chicken fettuccine. The sauce was very bland and tasteless. I was disappointed and not likely to return as there are other good Italian restraints in the valley.

Collettis is a great place to take a date or for anniversaries, the atmosphere is nice, and prices are actually pretty good for the high quality food that is served there, I highly recommend to stop by and visit. Parking: The only thing is you have to park across a semi busy street in order to get to the restaurant.

Everything was great, i had the the soup, though with the exception for the tomato basil soup I brought from the restaurant to take home for a family member it gave her several food poisoning, never had it iccur before.. It was horrible. I has the same, but she had it worse than I did. I do not know why it occurred. I did not bother to call the restaurant to inform them or if anyone got sick from it. The food took awhile to get to us, it wasnt busy at the moment. The restaurant seems like a popular place to go to. Not sure if I return.

The margaritas were good. My husband had the chicken Alfredo..the sauce was tasteless. I had a salad with the calamari for a meal..the salad was good but the calamari was super super salty and the dipping sauce was super salty too...it use to be so good there. We were with two other couples and everyone got their food and I didnt get mine until 10 minutes later even after asking for it...they lost my business

Went to celebrate my nephews RN graduation last night. Party of 15. Our server, Marcus was outstanding! Made us feel welcomed and comfortable! Before we could think of it he was already placing it on the table (bread, butter, salad dressings, water, etc). We were very very impressed with the quality and quantity of each dinner plate. I highly recommend you trying Collettis and pray you get the same service and satisfaction as I/we did. Thank you Marcus for a job well done!!

Unbelievable cheese cake with berries. Great wait staff and delicious and savory meals. I had the tortellini and my husband had shrimp with creamy mushroom sauce. Everything we had was amazing , but that cheesecake .. OMG decedent, rich, sweet and by far the best Ive eveeer had.

Came to enjoy a nice quiet dinner with some coworkers. We had a nice time. The food was delicious. Our waiter Ronnie was awesome. We had some margaritas. Oh my goodness....I recommend the coconut margarita. Overall experience was wonderful. Would come again.

I was not impressed with the food nor the decor. My cocktail tasted like a lemonade Capri Sun and food was a small portion that was overpriced. The same for the appetizer. The service was great but the quality and quantity of the food was overshadowed by that. I wont be returning unfortunately. Olive Garden would have been a better choice.

After going over the reviews, Ill keep taking my $$ to McAllen as much as I want to support Harlingen/la feria there are no great places to have a nice dinner...like Santa Fe, or PRIME, The Patio there is nothing remotely to those here in the Harlingen/la Feria..

Please dont show up here in the evening if you expect to relax. They will literally take the food from under you so you can leave...make you chug your drinks so they can clean the table and get you out!! I understand when people are dragging behind when the restaurant has been closed for over 30 min but this was 5 min after 8 and they close at 8. Mind you we got there at 7:25pm, they made us order drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert all at once with the excuse that the kitchen was going to close at 7:30. I could go on and on about how horrible our experience was but i think this is enough!. Never going back!
