To many irresponsible owners don t give their dogs shots, and have dogs with kennel cough and other Contagious diseases. Especially the older folks that don t have healthy dogs and up to date with their shots. As well as new pet owners taking their puppies with no shots is crazy. Won t be going back. To many aggressive dogs and irresponsible owners.

Such a great park to take your fur babies! There s enough shade and benches where you can sit and relax while your dog explores or plays with other furry friends! Majority of people are very good about cleaning up after their pets and are very friendly! There s a separate small/large dog enclosure in case you don t want your little dog to be around larger dogs; even so, many dogs are well behaved and haven t encountered an issue, as I like to take my little Westin on the larger dog side since the space is bigger and absolutely loves to play with bigger dogs! There s also a water faucet in both sides with dog bowls so you can keep your pet hydrated or refreshed is you decide to bring them out throughout the day

Great park for dogs. Exception .owners do not watch their dogs to make sure they are not acting out. My 7 month old poodle at 42 pounds was being humped by a dog relentlessly. She s a puppy, not in heat. I finally had to get the owner to get her dog off of mine. Owner was rude and did not like me calling her dog out. What are the rules in the park, as it appears to be social hour in lieu of the owner taking responsibility for their dog.

Best dog park in town, best dog park around. This bad boy has two separate areas, one for small dogs, one for real dogs. Both are huge, containing a field and a small forest. On top of that, theres a trail in the back that stretches on for miles! (It doesnt loop around, I tried). The park is always clean and well maintained by staff. The people are friendly and ettiquet is upheld. Last person I seen that didnt pick up their dogs poop got their leg vigorously humped by a giant mastiff named cookie. There was no date prior. I love going to this park with my little dog but at the same time stressful because there is an area with large dogs and people take their small children and instead of carrying them they let them walk and there are many dogs that like to jump and it is very dangerous for children and I dont understand why it is for dogs there are parks to take the kids

For some reason, the people with big dogs think its ok to be in the small dog park then act surprised when the small dogs bark at their big dog. Some small dogs dont like big dogs which is why they are separated.

I go to this dog park daily! Overall a very nice park with pleasant people. It can get dirty because of irresponsible owners thinking they don t need to clean up after their dog. Clean up your dog s poop!! Otherwise it ruins the park and you won t want to go. Be aware that there are some regulars with aggressive dogs and little control in the later evening. Even if they seem friendly at first, things change fast with certain dogs in particular. No restrooms unfortunately. People also bring young children and let them run, then get mad dogs chase or jump. It s a dog park, kids should be controlled or not come.

10 years ago, I rated this park as 5 stars. Over the last year or 3, maintenance and landscaping have diminished greatly. Frequent water leaks cause the water to be shut off regularly and occasional swampy areas occur. The signage is faded, and zero improvements have happened. Due to poor maintenance, water ponds anytime it rains in the big dog side, causing people with big dogs to bring their dogs over to the little side. This causes tension and danger. Im hoping Arlington Parks and Recs focuses some attention. Its long overdue

I take my dog here at least once a week. They have two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Both areas offer large space to stroll with your dog offleash. There are often other dogs at various hours for your pal to have fun with, and the people are always nice to talk to. If you are looking for a trail, there is almost a trail available with a pretty long distance.

Great place. The only thing I didnt like is people too busy on their phones and not watching their pets. They take a dump and leave it even after the park furnishes plenty of bags. This place is definitely hit or miss. Today was bad! There was a bad dog fight, and the owner that allowed his dog to attack another dog tried to flee and leave. But police were called, and the situation was taken care of, I hope. Even though the other dog almost had his ear ripped off and he was a sweet heart. You take a big risk in the big dog side. The small dog side is a lot better. But Dixie-Blue enjoyed the small dog side drama free.

This is a really good dog park. I just moved to the area 3 weeks ago, and this was my first visit. So much room for the dogs to run and play. A large water bowl and fountain is provided for the dogs. Grassy areas, and also wooded areas for dogs who like to stay in the shade or hunt. My only complaint is that there is not a number posted for aggressive dog behavior. There was a dog harassing my golden retriever, and the owner didnt even know where his dog was for about 30 minutes. The dog owners need to be attentive to their own dogs and remove them from the dog park as soon as their dog becomes aggressive. Other than that, I highly recommend this dog park.

My dog loves this park but whenever it rains they close it for days. No consistency on how long they keep it closed. It rained 4 days ago and just drove there and it is still closed. The ground is dry as a bone but the park is still closed. 11/22 once again I drove to this public park Ill need to find out it is closed. It hasnt rained in a week. I shouldnt have to call ahead to see if this public park is open or not. Once again Im going to have to drive to the dog park in Grand Prairie.

DO NOT TAKE A SMALL DOG HERE. Too many larger dogs/puppies in the small dog area. They play extremely rough with smaller dogs, even aggressive. The picture for the Small Dog area is really a large dog. Wife picked up our dog from a large dog being aggressive with our very small dog. When my wife picked up her dog, the large puppy lunged at her trying to get at our dog and she fell down. She discussed it with the owner who told her the dogs are only playing and used very disgusting language to my wife.

Asides from the occasional over protective owner that feels extra entitled and yells at everyone else, I love the community here. The people are so nice and it doesnt matter if its your first time there or not - you and your furry companion will be treated with warm welcomes. For the most part, the majority of the park is clean and just about everyone picks up after their dog. I imagine the majority of what isnt picked up is because the owner simply didnt notice. Anyways, fun place. I highly recommend it!

Really nice park it has a walking trail and wooded area thats enclosed in the park so dogs feel like their in the woods. My only issue is only old people come with their dogs and they dont take care of them. Dogs will be jumping and dropping my dog to the ground and the old people wont say nothing. Nice park but older people that come here are not good dog owners.

This is probably the best dog park Ive been to. The fenced off-leash area is amazing. Partly wooded so the dogs (and people) can actually feel like they are out in a woodland while half is cleared for some serious running. Clean and the guests always seem friendly. There are also some fairly nice paved walking paths.

Weve just moved here and we like this little park. A real bonus are the trails around the park. I only wished there would be a dog wash/spray down station outside of the park to get our happy dogs somewhat cleaned up before they jump in the car. Its a large, beautiful, wooded space, with plenty of grass to run and do their business. The bag dispensers and disposal cans help thoughtful owners keep it clean. Dogs whose owners just dont care have some privacy in the woods. Most dogs are friendly and get along well; a few a grumpy enough to be avoided, but basically a safe space for dogs to be dogs. Two ways for improvement: 1) the watering fountain is great but too often turned off, it would be good to add this status to the rainout line so owners know to bring their own. 2) closing the park for wet or muddy conditions cuts out energy-burning time; owners dont need a well-groomed and grassy space, we want the mud. Id be happy to help spread grass seed on rainy and muddy days to do my part to replenish turf.

I am giving this 4 stars because my dogs absolutely are crazy about this place. If I mention dog park they go crazy and I cannot get them leashed up fast enough and in the car. They will not calm down until we are in the car driving to the dog park. As soon as you are enclosed in the fence you can let them loose. It is completely fenced with a forest area with lots of trees. After rains it can be muddy and slippery. Take my advice do not where sandals. Wear tennis shoes. They are open until ten pm each night. If you go in the evening make sure you spray with Off. Mosquitoes are really bad in the evening so cover your arms and legs. My dogs love to run here so it has become a daily stop. The regulars that come here are very nice people with very well behaved dogs. And to my surprise this place is very busy at 0630

Great well-maintained dog park. Usually lots of dogs for our dog to play with with wide-open space for dogs and seating for humans.

I have been to this dog park for more than once. It seems odd to me that the pen area for small dogs are bigger than large dogs, and at times I see owners letting their large dogs into small dog pen. I have a small chihuahua mix and gets annoyed when their large dogs come near my dog. I prefer the Central Bark in Grand Prairie, they have better lighting and more appropriate sized pen for dogs with equipments for them to go through and climbing up & down.

One of the best dog parks in America that weve been to. Half of the park is in forest and the other half is field. There are benches and lighting at night in a of the park.

A very nice huge dog park nearby the Arlington Animals shelter. They could keep more lights in the night.

My rescue Rottie Loves this place. She runs and runs and runs. There are nice trails in the woods w benches to sit on. Many caring dog parents take their fur babies there
