From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff at check-in. I was also thanked for being a Marriot Bonjoy member. I chose this hotel for the key features of an indoor pool, fitness center, free breakfast, and free parking. This location delivered. The pool was refreshingly cool and very clean. We enjoyed it twice during our stay. The fitness center looked like it had everything to get a decent workout. Our room was spacious and spotless, although the A/C had a slight odor. It kept the room cold and we travel with candles and air freshener so it wasnt a big deal to us. Breakfast was great, included waffle machines. I felt that my car was in a safe location. The hotel s location was perfect for our activities in Houston and Galveston. We have never been to Webster before. It had everything we needed or wanted for our weekend here. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

After staying at a Marriott in Kansas City and now this one, the difference is blatantly clear. The staff have never once said hello, good morning etc, in KCK they always said a greeting. The room here smells of mildew every time I walk in. I dont think the toilet is secured to the floor as I feel it move when I get off it. The bed has a visible sag on one side where I assume hundreds have slept. The side door is SO janky and barely works to the point that Im now writing this review. Fix that stupid key card device.... The only bright side I can say in comparison is the gym is nicer and the breakfast was better, otherwise Id rate this place lower.. Now I have to give the other hotel a 5 star review due to this comparison. Walkability: Close to food and retail Food and drinks: Close by

Rude night shift staff worker. Loved the dayshift staff. Poor excuses for the ONLY laundry room in the hotel not working. When I tried to address the staff about his attitude with me he continued to be salty. You would think they would have the laundry room posted out of order instead of wasting guests time with no solution. Exhaust fans in bathrooms are for show only. They do not work in any of the rooms our party booked. Super disappointed in the night shift customer service.

Front desk staff was a bit off. My husband went to check-in and the front desk agent, instead of greeting him, thought he was a delivery boy. Excuse me?! They then proceeded to ask my husband for his passport. What?! Isn t it customary to ask for just ID or more simply, a drivers license? Then, as he walks in with our service dog (who s wearing her vest and ID clearly visible) and gets asked if she s a service dog. You just checked us in and you saw in the system notes that we had a service dog. What s happening?! The next morning I asked for straws (for our toddlers) and was rudely turned away by another front desk person saying if they don t have any in the breakfast area, then no. Only to turn around and run into a kitchen attendant providing me with several straws. The dissonance was evident. Other than those 2 team members, service was good, rooms were clean, spacious, stocked no other complaints or issues. Location is great too! 8 min from NASA Space Center and 30min to Moody Gardens in Galveston. Great restaurants around and the mall is just minutes away.

Wish I could give zero stars. Made a fully paid and confirmed reservation for a room on my wedding night. When I get there I m told by the front desk agent that they overbooked and don t have the room I paid for and reserved available and instead offer me an inferior room. I declined and chose instead to cancel my reservation and went elsewhere. Management refused multiple times to give me a refund despite overbooking which is 100% on them. Nothing but greed. Refund didn t happen until I filed a dispute with my credit card company and luckily they had my back unlike Fairfield. What a pathetic excuse for a management team.

My hubby got us a room for three nights here and it was pretty nice! The breakfast was yummy and Pedro, who works the night shift at the front desk, was super friendly! We were running late for check-in and called him with a heads up so they wouldnt cancel our booking. Pedro was so nice about it, really kind and helpful! Weve stayed at lots of Marriott hotels around the country and he made us feel the safest and most looked after by far! Most night shift front desk employees lack customer service skills but that was not the case with him. We asked to change rooms because the one we got first smelled strange, and then we also needed towels that werent in the new room we got assigned. Pedro was really understanding and sorted it all out without any fuss! Some of the other front desk people should learn from him because they werent as nice or attentive, sadly. Overall I would recommend this property as it s very conveniently located near NASA!

I had booked our room for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids, which room showed 2 queen beds. No issues here. However when it came time for us to shower, there were only 2 towels. I asked the young man at the front desk for 2 extra towels, but his response was not welcoming. It seems I disturbed his interaction with his handheld device. With an unpleasant look he asked what did you need? Not how may I assist or help you? After I asked for the towels he said two more?!?! I responded - yes please, we are 4 in the room but only 2 towels in the barhroom. Reluctantly he said Ill check and see what I have. We did get the towels. The morning or day staff was much better, they greeted with a good morning and smile when we came down for breakfast. There was a college/school staying here during our stay, arrived in 3 different coach busses. This made breakfast challenging as food ran out quick, with a line of people. The room walls were almost paper thin, we could easily hear what was going on next to us, as well as while we walked down the halls. Overall, the hotel is well kept, no issues here.

Frequent traveller for business and pleasure - Worst stay in any Marriott property ever. Room was dirty and smelled of mold, made me sick. Staff wouldnt move me and was pretty rude about it. I would have left, but I was there on a contract and my client paid for the room. Only upside was that is was walking distance from some reasonable restaurants. The best thing about this stay was when it ended. Keep looking.

Dear Marriot, Get better staff! My family checked in from Cypress, TX to attend a volleyball tournament nearby. Upon checking in we were asked if we needed the rooms cleaned the following morning. I said yes and we were off the next morning at 7 AM. The tournament ended around 2:30. When we got back there we were met near the elevator by housekeeping. However, they were not in our room but in a room across the way. When we walked into our room it had not been cleaned. I asked 2 women on the floor if our room was on the list to be cleaned soon. They both told me, No and showed me the list. We went back down and figured we could just go to a late lunch while we requested (yet again) housekeeping. The receptionist at the front assured me they would be up while we were gone to restock and clean. We came back an hour later and still - not cleaned. Finally, after a 3rd request, someone came to clean. This time we left to shop at the Baybrook Mall. When I arrived after hours at the tournament, an hour at lunch, and 3 hours at the mall---- I was looking forward to a hot shower and the bed. The room was hot, stuffy, and dusty. Nonetheless, I jumped in the shower. To my surprise, NO conditioner, not towels, and I was having a sneezing attack. Out of all of the hotels in this area, we chose Marriot and unfortunately, it was a huge mistake. I called the front desk to speak to a manager. I spoke to Toy. She showed no empathy AND she accused me of requesting conditioner already. I told her my husband was bald and my daughter had box braids so there was no way. Never again. Please address this with your staff.

I have never had this awful of a customer experience at a Marriott property. I would say I was greeted with scowls, but I wasn t even greeted. I was just glared at. The gal who was mocking someone as I walked up to the counter, rolled her eyes when I gave the name for the reservation and said to her colleague oh it s THAT one Often times I get into a location before my employer, they add my name to the reservation so I can check in before they arrive. This has never ever been an issue. They refused to accept the request to add my name to the reservation and told me I needed to call my employer to verify. I explained that theyre on a flight and had just fallen asleep and they told me they did not care and they would not honor my boss s request. So here I am, having driven over night, with no where to sleep before my flight. I do my best to be patient, understanding, and be as little of an inconvenience as possible. I don t want to be a nuisance, I just want to sleep. I get that a last min reservation made to check in at 8am is probably annoying on their end. But the company is loyal to Marriott and has ambassador elite status specifically because we travel and work awful hours and the perk of giving them 10s of thousand a in business every year, is that we re able to check in at odd hours.

Erika, did the date change over and over, never breaking her super nice, helpful attitude. I can only say that I would have a hard time dealing with myself. Thank you, Erika. The stay was great, the rooms were very clean. The breakfast is a WARM breakfast with different options daily. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese omelets. Thats in the two mornings we were there. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Both Erikas and Ashley, the manager, were so accommodating. With us doing all the date changes and being difficult, they still made us very happy customers. Definitely be back.

Beds are always the most important feature if you want to sleep. So it s an above average mattress, but we booked a king and upon checking in was given two queen beds. Not cool. But we were give 2 free waters. . Breakfast was okay. Covid changed hotels breakfasts forever. So it was a cut above continental. The place was nice and clean. Staff was nice. My sleep was interrupted by a customer. Let s call her boom boom Betty. She was above us, and the smell of Swisher Sweets fouled the sir in our room. Her door slammed all night every 60 to 90 minutes. I passed her when I checked in, and she smelled of pot and cigar. So I maybe got 3 hours of sleep due to the business activity of boom boom Betty. She s probably the one that stole my king sized bed. I m sure she got more use out of it that my wife and I did. I ll be looking at a better part of town when I find another Marriott. The cheapest turned out to be the one sought out by the Swisher sweet girls. I just hate being sleepy during the family funeral this morning. I learned my lesson.

I have stayed in multiple Fairfields across 43 states over years and this one takes the prize. Modern state of the art furnishings supplemented with enough parking space, next to mall and shopping area (Location Matters!!!), good breakfast options, spacious lobby, value for money are couple of differentiating factors/USP for this place. Nicely appointed, modern, and clean! Feel is typical of new motels nothing to share that s not standard. But they are doing it well and offering friendly service. Large lobby dining area with coffee and tea all day. Pool and workout areas were not in use during our visit.

Only complaint is the complimentary breakfast wasn t great, the buffet had eggs, sausage and waffles which tasted okay the problem is that when I arrived for breakfast at around 8am there was hardly any food left and breakfast is from 7am-10am.

Great location!! So close to EVERYTHING- Baybrook Mall and awesome restaurants, i.e. Cheesecake Factory, Perrys Steakhouse, and Yard House! Hotel stay was great, only negative thing was the thermostat in the room did not work properly. So thankful for the employee working Friday night that came to the room to try to fix the thermostat. He also acknowledged the existing comforter that was dirty and removed it after trying to fix the thermostat. Later on he brought me two comforters so I was able to stay warm for the night.

The hotel and staff itself is perfectly fine, but Ill rate any hotel with 1 star if they still offer that plastic breakfast. We live in a world with climate change and this hotel still uses one-time plates, cups, forks and knives for breakfast instead of reusable and creating tons of wast. This is just ridiculous! Get rid of that plastic-breakfast as fast as possible and youll get 5* for a good hotel besides that. The US is the only country in the world where this is still happening. Change it!

Rooms were clean, stayed in a 2 queen bed room. They let us check in early! The kids got use of the indoor pool, which was very cold, but they had fun, at least room was warm. Breakfast served from 7am-10ish am, was really good yet simple. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast, cereal, yogurt plus make your own waffles was good, everyone enjoyed breakfast. Texas shaped waffles were good. We will stay again.

Im calling this location the above and beyond hotel because their staff does exactly that! I had not been to Houston in forever and so much had changed. We were there for a funeral and we had less than an hour to get dressed and get to the church. The gentlemen at the front desk was so welcoming. He learned why we were there, offered his condolences then offered to look up the church, he then printed the directions for us so we wouldnt lose any more time. I wish I had gotten his name because he was wonderful. When we returned to the hotel, we didnt see him at the desk and no one was standing there so we didnt get to ask but he worked on Thursday night 9/16/21. The next day was the burial service, again we were in a rush to eat and pack our bags and check out. I watched this kitchen attendant, I think her name was Ki-ki, as she walked around making everyone feel welcome. She offered to throw peoples trash, give them refills, she even made waffles for some of the guests and took it to their tables! She really wowed me! Although we were in a big hurry to leave, I had to take the time to thank her myself for her exemplary work. Whoever hired these amazing employees, should feel proud to have them representing their hotel and the Marriott brand! I look forward to returning soon! Btw, the hotel is beautiful and clean. The pool and work out area are fantastic and its great that they have opened up the hot breakfast again, yay!!

The pictures do not do the hotel justice! The hotel staff was polite and professional. The room as we entered it smelled like fresh cucumbers. It was clean and bed was nice and comfy. Everything about the hotel was perfect. They had morning breakfast which included; self made waffles, sausage patties, bacon, omelets, biscuits and gravy, cereal, juices, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal. They also had a pool. Gym, and laundry (no detergent available.) In conclusion, I definitely recommend this hotel. I will be returning for future houston visits

Miserable receptionist and pregnant lady that was there. Not welcoming & unfriendly. After reading all the good reviews from non colored people, I feel that people of color are treated differently. My experience! The whole Dairy Queen that s in the side of hotel can see right through your room. Asked for extra towels because they only gave one and never received it.

We stayed here back in January for a night before heading to our cruise in Galveston. We chose this hotel because from what I could tell, it was the newest one in the area. It was very nice, and everyone I spoke with was very friendly. I actually realized once we got on the ship that I had forgotten my pillow in the room, luckily we hadnt sailed away yet, so I was able to call and they still had it, they held onto it for the week while we were gone and I was able to pick it up when we passed back through. Theres plenty of restaurants nearby, and its convenient to Galveston. Im actually looking to book here again for our upcoming cruise in December

If I could give them a ZERO I would. I have a complaint case against Josie (the rude lady who answers the phone) and to the General Manager (Mr. Martinez) at this location. They were both extremely rude and disrespectful to my elderly mother. I ve been a Marriott rewards member and Marriott Credit Card holder for years And have NEVER experienced this at the many locations I ve stayed at. We ve always made reservations with our points and/or paying out of pocket and had my mother or kids stay under our reservation by faxing or calling with their information. Mr. Martinez the disrespectful General Manager basically told my mother that couldn t be done and she couldn t stay there. Are you kidding me? Let s she say this isn t the whole story with how horrible my mother was treated. Watch out for the rude customer service at this location. I or my family will NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION.
