Food was DELICIOUS, and mango margaritas are to die for!!!! Ceviche El Viejon was over the top!!!! #Kudos Weird to have disposable silverware and towel paper rolls in the table. Not really quick service, but friendly and helpful. Im not from the area, but worth the drive. Ill be definitely back!!!!

I went with my wife we only ordered natural oysters and an old molcajete 6 beers the bill $185 because they included without prior notice 18% tip almost $25 dollars and terrible service the food was very good but the abuse without consent of the clientele is also optional no forced what a shame

My first time in that place. The food is delicious. At first the service was bad. They didnt pay attention to us afterward and were very attentive. Very delicious drinks. The only thing I didnt like. It was that the restaurant charges 18% gratitude. And also leave more tip. Without knowing it. I think its not fair that you decide how much to tip. Maybe I would return but I wouldnt pay the 18% that the restaurant charges.

Personally, the food is good, I ordered the red ceviche and it is good my wife ordered a mezcalito but it was not mezcal at all, it was whiskey with pineapple water, I give the service three, the waitress was not attentive, our bill was four We ordered separately, they included 18% of tips

If youre looking for a good Mexican seafood spot, this is it! They have great drinks, amazing sea food, and the atmosphere is nice. Music makes you dance in your seat. Our server was great and helped me select food when I was indecisive. The prepared oysters were chefs kiss.

First time at el viejon,they accomodate us as a mid large group of my family,service from Estefania R was amazing ,food was one of the best in seafood i have had .Manager stopped by to check on us.Music was just right to enjoy and to carry a conversation,we are returning to el viejon soon ,they have earned our business.This a place i would recommend to anybody that wants to have great food,best and friendly service .Manager at the end thanked us for stoping by as we were exiting.100% Recommended

I went in on last week and order 2 margaritas and two 9.99 specials. My food came out to 51.00 which means my margaritas was higher than my food lol but anyways I see on my bank statement that I was charged an additional 20.00. So 71.00 was charged for me getting lunch at this place. I called to get it resolved bc they stole from me and still nothing. I don t stay in the area, was just out there to go to bank so I couldn t just go right back in there. So initially this was a bad review but the owner called back and apologized and refunded me with no problem!

Second time coming to this place. First time was great, but I cant say the same for the second time. Everything was great until we were about to leave. It was the ticket with the gratuity on it already. I asked the server to take it off because it is optional, for a party of 3 people only. The gratuity is 6+ either way it goes my server Francisco Start of being very unprofessional. Tell me why Im taking it off thats mandatory. First of all its not mandatory Its optional. He started being very sarcastic with me. In front of my group very unprofessional. I told him let me speak to your manager. He came and followed me to the front and stood there. Waiting for the manager with me and he keeps harassing and telling me things. I dont have nothing to say to him. No more I need to speak with the manager Allen. The hostess told me he left already. So there was no manager on duty, no assistant manager on duty. So I left there I was still very upset. I called other locations to get a manager. The only location that called me back was Irving. I told him the situation In an hour and a 1/2 later, Allen calls me back. At that time Im gone. Get nothing done and there was nothing to do definitely not coming back with this attitude of customer service. So if you dont tip them what they want, you will be harassed..

Honestly was disappointed, for a seafood place the best food was the carne asada. Fish tacos were pretty lackluster. Aguas frescas were watered down and tasted like powder agua fresca. I expect it to be made from scratch in a restaurant. I dont think Ill be going back.

I have had my eye on this place for awhile and wanted to give it a try. We showed up early for lunch and were seated immediately. We got our drinks and chips pretty quickly. The chips were in the shape of small taco shells, which was very convenient. Our server, Luis G. Did an outstanding job. He was very attentive and helpful. My partner order one ceviche tostada and I ordered a plate of the tropical ceviche. We were brought packaged crackers but I preferred using the chips. There were about 8 different hot sauce options on the table. The ceviche was very fresh and tasty. It was a nice, light lunch. I would definitely recommend this place to Mexican seafood lovers!

Hello, just to ask your waitresses to be honest, we went to the new Arlington branch and the girl who served us. At the time of giving us the ticket. He had already given us the tip included, he put almost 30 dollars as a tip. My mistake was that I didnt see it until I swiped the card when I realized that I had paid quite a bit for what. We ate as a family of 2 adults and 3 girls, I paid almost 140 dls and I still tipped him thinking that still. Or I gave him no tip at all $15 more I didnt complain at the time because my husband didnt let me, but this girl did abuse me for 45 dollars and she never took things to us on time The breaded fish dish that one of my girls ordered had a very strong flavor and no one liked it, it stayed there. The nuget kid menu super hard Shrimp cocktail Seafood grill Wings 3 fresh waters 2 beers $140 included almost 30 dollars of gratuity without warning plus 15 dollars of tip that I left

This is the place to eat of you love seafood. Seafood served anyway you can think of. The fish soup was my absolute favorite. The fish and shrimp tacos were a hit. The seafood molcajete is a mix of all seafood. The lunch menu is 10.00 and has a good variety of plates to choose from. Not worth it for how it looks in photos or videos! The prices of the dishes are above the clouds. To say the least, the apettaicer are more expensive than the regular dishes. The rocker brought us everything that was the opposite of what we asked for. My husbands beer looked like it was expired because it didnt taste good and didnt smell good. Anyway, I dont think I will return to this restaurant. The shrimp cocktail never had any flavor and the Ceviche Viejon dish has very little value for what it is worth.

Superb atmosphere with the excellence of latin cuisine. We had the grilled octopus and it was cooked to perfection and not chewy. Our server was Mayela and could not be any better; out of 10 she was a 20. Definitely will comeback. Prices were competitive with the market. BTW, you will get a Mariachi band. Honestly the food is very delicious. The bad thing is, how all the Mexican restaurants in Texas abuse prices, they are always digging their teeth into the Latino race. It is exaggerated that they charge you 3.5 dollars for a frosted glass, 26 for a prepared beer (plus tax). In American restaurants you will never see such abuse in prices. I didnt even order food, just my wife, even so it was 130 dollars for some beers and my wifes dish, (as if I had gone to a first class restaurant, more expensive than the Texas Rod House, than the Esfera in Dallas , that the restaurant 506) another thing that bothered me is that they charge you the tip and 18% is super unpleasant and in bad taste. Everything is very delicious but I will never return.

Tried the food from here twice, first time asked for corn tortillas, they gave me flour tortillas, today I asked for the salsa on the side, it was no salsa for mi molcajete dish at all!!! The Huachinango was dried and overcooked, shrimp cocktail from the first time was good, Molcajete azteca taste good but the salsa its super spicy, this is why I asked for the salsa on the side... without the salsa isnt the same. I will make sure to check my food before I leave the restaurant next time!

Old and very poor quality seafood In addition to being very expensive Bland Micheladas Poorly made Curious cold tortillas Old beef - tall, corrosive, etc. Crooked tables and dancers Slow Service The only good thing is that they have moderate volume 99.9% Not recommended

Terrible experience. We had server Jose Luis, who rarely ever checked on us I d like to state. The meals themselves were not the worst. It was the service that was upsetting. Please do not go here unless you want your money stolen. Towards the end of our meal my mother kindly requested a coke to go. before server jose luis put her soda order in she then continued to ask if we could get the bill and if he could kindly separate into 2 payments. He denied and claimed it was impossible because he had already let the transition went through and it had to be paid as a whole. After all this he finally put our to go order in. Us expecting separate receipts as our coke was ordered after our prior order was finalized were shocked when only being given one ticket. If you are unaware no matter how small or big your party there is a gratuity tip included after $125 have been ordered. We have no problem tipping whatsoever we usually just leave it cash or in all honesty depending on the service too. The fact that our server lied about our order just to force a tip out of us was upsetting to say the least. We would ve honestly had no issue the tip was only around $20 but his behavior was just unprofessional. i hope this problem gets resolved in the near future for other clients.

I posted a comment on the Instagram page of this restaurant and I found it it has been deleted by the account owners so Ill leave my review here, to start off, a place that sells seafood should never have any food expire. The side effects of the food and items served can be serious. I was given an expired sauce that was BUBBLING. It smelt horrible too. The waitress also never asked to refill drinks and forgot to bring chips in several occasions. Now I didnt mention the service part in the comment I had left because I genuinely hoped this restaurant could improve but seeing that they have removed my comment, I thought Id mention it as well because expired food being served to customers is a concern, nothing should be served expired, ESPECIALLY at a seafood restaurant.

The food is horrible, our bill was more than $100 dollars and unfortunately its not worth it, you couldnt put your fork in the fish and the molcajete meat was so burnt that it was impossible to chew, dont waste your money and time!

Wait staff was excellent. Paula spoke no English but we had no problem communicating and she brought Fransico over and he was awesome as well and extremely bi-lingual! (Hope I heard his name right, I m hard of hearing! They ve recently opened and honestly they did a great job. They ll even cater to vegetarian! We had a great experience! Be careful with the sauces if you re sensitive to heat but worth the risk! We always look for original and different and this made our list!
