A lot of people just hanging out inside. I asked the lady multiple times how much the order is. I ended up getting charged $26 for one bowl with three pieces of goat and like 4 plantain. I ll never go there again. Way too expensive for the amount you get and customer service is subpar. I don t even think this is a restaurant. It s a cover up for something else they are doing out of there.

Food was so fire, I woke up the following morning and decided to review it! I ordered pounded yam, egusi W/ red stew on top And Chicken meat! Delish is an understatement! It took about 15-20 minutes to prepare. The presentation was nice, It was incredibly flavorful, not too spicy (could ve been spicier but I m a spicy addict) and super fresh! The portions are plentiful! It came with 2 wrapped pounded yams, 2 thick chunks of white chicken meat, 1 leg and a decent amount of egusi! I figured I d have some leftovers but ended up devouring it all! Although the food was amazing, The highlight of the experience was definitely Miss BOLA! It just dawned on me that she indeed must be Miss B, but she was delightful, confident in the food, and assured me that I would enjoy it enough to return! She didn t lie! Don t believe me, try it for yourselves, you won t be disappointed!!!!

The Food is good, but they are always late they open up when they feel like it, So they dont really care to serve the community, they just want money! How do you open up at 12 and still be late? They lack organizational skills, and professionalism. They need to be more serious about their business, and not have customers outside waiting on them.

The smell of the restaurant is as unwelcoming as the staff. I cant even rate the food because the cashier was so rude and uncooperative I couldnt get my order in. I for some reason couldnt get the simple stew and swallow I ordered, but got a lot of attitude and eye rolls in the process. Ill never ponder giving them my money again, because these dummies obviously dont want it, and I dont know what the point of a business is outside of that.

I came in 15 mins to closing. They still had some Jollof rice and meat pie left. The stewed chicken was really great. I has been craving Nigerian food for some weeks, being 9 months pregnant is pretty difficult trying to cook at home. My son loved talking to the grandma that was there. They are very nice and respectable people. The Jollof rice was good as well and very seasoned.

Mama B, your food is great but your service is very poor. You don t have a working system on how to take accurate orders and payments. Several times I make a catering order and when it s time to pick up, you say you forgot. Please Create a system that works so you won t keep disappointing your loyal customers. To stay in business for long, create a system that works & improve your customer service. Get someone professional to help you take orders, enter it into the system so your business can thrive and do better. Your customers can only excuse this poor service for a while but if something isn t done, they will take their business to more organized restaurants. I hope you accept this constructive criticism so your business can live long.

The $160 full tray of chicken was tough and way over cooked. The flavor was okay. The rice Jollof and the fried rice were okay. The $60 tray of plantains were in small bits instead of nicely sliced halves. Maybe that is totally normal, but not what I was expecting. The bean soup was amazing, delicious. Ordering was a bit difficult and took a bit too long and the prices of the trays changed several times while ordering. But she did give me the quarter tray of beans for only $20 so that was nice. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. For the price I would go somewhere else.

On top of that they were accepting cashapp, zelle and only cash for payment. Thats frustrating too with all the technology that is available.

I ordered egusi with fish. I specifically told them I wanted no tripe in it, and they said theres already no tripe in it. Why, then, when I got home did I find multiple flabby, nightmare-inducing slabs of tripe in my egusi???? I had to dig that and other mystery pieces of meat out before I could eat. The fish was hard and dry, clearly overcooked. The egusi base was decent but very greasy. The fufu looked and tasted recycled. The price is even higher than others in the area who actually know how to cook it.

The first time goat in egusi was tough, I thought maybe it was just a bad day. Nope....beef in egusi was tough this time. Ogbono beef tough to and tasted horrible. Nothing was fresh. Taste several days old. Way overpriced and too spicy. Never again.

Where do I start It was Nasty! I ordered the Jollof rice with goat meat and FuFu with Egusi soup. The meat was tougher than tough, like you couldnt even swallow it. The Jollof rice was scorched and when I brought it to their attention, I was told that it is supposed to have a Smokey taste. Now Im not new to eating this food as I have literally been eating it for over 35 years and NEVER had I had any that taste this bad! I knew it was bad when my dog wouldnt touch it. There are alot of wild animals in my neighborhood as my home backs up to a open field. I set it out overnight and neither the opossum nor the coyotes touched it. It was horrible. I was not fresh at all, I would say it was made days prior to its toughness. We literally left and went to McDonalds. I only gave it a star because I had to and the plantains that came with the Jollof was decent. Definitely a waste of money.

However, going into the building there a Huge sign that said free WiFi....NOT FREE.Next, each entree on the menu was $12 but when we got the receipt we were charged $15!!!! where the extra three dollars came from, We have no idea. We did not get to see the receipt until after we paid and that s how we saw that we were overcharged...SCAMMED. When my friend commented on the price, the girl who rang her up just ignored her and proceeded to ring her up. Ofc the wait was hella long also . Lasty, they were not serving half of the things on the menu!

Most disrespectful restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is below average. The service is absolutely horrendous. After paying $16-17 for a plate of rice. I was told to shut the f up twice and hung up on twice. The fact that this place sells any food is actually insane. If I could give 0 stars 10 times I would. Absolutely disgusting service, environment and food. They need a full semester class in customer service. Clearly needs better training for the kids on the phone masquerading as customer service. Surprised the business has not been run into the ground. Yemsade has better food, and better service. $11 rather than 16-17. Thank you for the two absolutely disgusting experiences with your restaurant. You will not see a penny of my money ever again.

My brother and I had to order the food bulk, we got a full tray of Jollof Rice for $40 and 1/2 tray of Stewed Chicken( huge pieces) so tasty for $60. The rice has this wonderful spicy smoky flavor that just takes to another level, I think she cooks her food with firewood. That definitely makes a difference, takes you back to grandmas cooking. Love love Mama Bs, God bless this business in Jesus name Amen

This was the worst restaurant experience, EVER!! Everything that I tried to order was unavailable so I ordered Jollof with Goat and Pepper Soup. I took it back home for my husband and I to enjoy. After eating half of the pepper soup, my husband warned me to never return to this restaurant. My husband, being Nigerian, stated, There is no way that this pepper soup is supposed to have this amount of pepper. I can handle the spice but she intentionally added extra pepper to this soup. She is a wicked woman for doing that. Maybe she thought that the soup was for me I too felt very uncomfortable while I was there waiting on my food for over an hour! I gave the 1 star because the husband was very pleasant but the others there were VERY RUDE! I definitely will not be going back

The worst service I ve ever received. They were out of everything we ordered. We finally settled on what they would bring us. 3 of the same entrees. They were all brought to the table 20 min apart. All 3 were so spicy that it was s joke. We are not sensitive to spice. As a matter of fact I encourage spice most of the time. This was a different level. They Over spiced the food to run us off. We ordered stewed goat. One would think just from the nature of the name Stewed goat it be tender slow cooked maybe even stewed but the meat that was in the dish was so rubbery and that it wasn t even a real cut of meat. it was the trash and the trimmings. Mind you we were the only three customers in the restaurant at the time. Also the only three customers not African in an African restaurant. There s no doubt in my mind that all this was intentional because we were not one of them. Which is sad because we were looking forward to a new experience.
