Can t say enough good things about this space. Affordable, friendly staff, & facility is well kept. They do a fantastic job of fitness equipment updates and upkeep, and they have quality equipment brands (Arsenal Strength, Rogue, Eleiko, and a few reputable names). Even as a non GP resident, this gym, though out of the way, is my first choice for a workout location.

I really appreciate this gym. I love the staff and my kids love it but one hour of care for child care is insane! I had to pick my children up today and in the baby room there was only one other child there. At the start of summer, it was extremely busy but as I suspected, the summer crowd simmered down just like the New Years crowd did. It was difficult to get care but I understood it completely. It is upsetting that they will just cut the care hour down to one hour instead of figuring out if there is a pattern and adjust the staff to accommodate if there is a trend for the moment. Being rushed to get your whole stretch/warmup, work out and then cool down in within one hour when you can t get to the gym every day and on top of that, you have limited hours just because you have kids is shattering. If you take a group fit class, you wont even have time to arrive early to get settled or have a moment to unwind. What s the point of this gym for parents? It s a complete slap in the face and it s really upsetting and it s 10x worse when the kids care is not even close to being full.

Before signing up for your membership, make sure you know the care hours, arrive early and even then you risk running out of care because it is always full. Additionally, on the tour they tell you that it is 2 hours of care, you have to buy extra passes (apart from the $50.00 membership fee) and now in summer they say that it is only one hour of care the care is always full because There is a maximum of 5 children in the baby/toddler area and without forgetting to mention that all the employees always give a different version regarding the services and the care employees are rude.

For anyone with a disability or recovering from surgery, this is the place to go for accessible swim and fitness opportunities. They have a zero entrance pool entry to the ramp that leads to the vortex pool for water walking against a current and to the aqua aerobics fitness side of the pool. There is a pool lift for access to the lap pool lanes. There is a jetted area in the vortex pool but the water isnt warm like the Jacuzzi, which sadly doesnt have a lift to it for those who cant use the steps there. For equipment, there is a section right outside the swimming pool area where there are machines like you would see at a rehab place for physical therapy, which includes a wheelchair treadmill, recumbent stepper, recumbent elliptical, and two upper body ergometers (aka arm bikes). This place is serious about inclusion.

We enjoy it. I sometimes take my 1 yr old to the daycare there. My only complaint is that some of the baby toys in the daycare room are visibly dirty. Ive worked in a few gym daycares so I can immediately tell when wiping them down at the end of the day is not a priority. Some of the daycare staff seem great with the babies though.

I am so glad I decided to pick this gym to workout at and the membership is amazing. Now that I am back in full effect I cannot wait to hit the gym. If you live outside of the Grand Prairie the membership is costly but it s worth it. My teenage son loves swimming so we are hitting up the indoor pool so he can relax. I am so glad I chose to homeschool him because the swimming fits our schedule. My old gym is always crowded even when you go early After nail shop day its fitness time

This is our 2nd year of having and paying for our family annual membership pass. We initially signed up because they had pool hours in the early morning for our toddler, not even a month into our membership they changed the hours on us. We really signed up for the pool for our little one. We continued with our membership for another year but the inconsistency of the pool hours are so frustrating. I spoke to the supervisor and she confirmed they change at least 4 times a year which was never told to us before. We have a toddler we don t have others kids in school to know when there s are school breaks and be on the lookout. It s really frustrating and not sure it s worth our money to continue our memebership. The supervisor also said they need to change the hours to accommodate the newer memebers but what about the memebers that have been there for more than a year. The inconsistency is so disheartening. Let s not start with the worse parking that isn t ideal when you have a toddlers in tow.

The Epic stands by its name. Its DEFINITELY and epic place to be at. They have everything from a family friendly swimming area to a gym to rental areas to host your event. We rented the Warehouse spot for our daughters graduation celebration on June 1st. Meghan was the coordinator for that and was the best person to help us. From the beginning she went above and beyond to make sure we understood what all entailed in our rental agreement and the services provided. She was the sweetest at making sure everything was ready for us upon arrival. I would definitely recommend the Warehouse venue for your event and I would definitely like to rent it out again. The only down side is the hours of operation for it, I think it would be awesome to extend the ending hours even if its just by an hour later. But the view you get is amazing. ~Lea

The worst part of this place is the management staff-they need to be fired. The GM Chris doesn t care about anything and lets his staff do and say whatever they want to whomever they want. They have a high turnover rate and the only people that stay is the management that should all be fired. They have a manager named Robert who they put in charge of purchasing equipment. He buys unnecessary equipment and makes excuses all the time about his shortcomings. I ve attempted to schedule an assessment with him on more than 3 occasions and I never heard back. But If you like the smell of chemicals in the air while you workout look no further. Robert mops in the middle of the day during one s workout so you can get a headache by the time you re done. If you ever need to make changes to your membership rest assured it will not get done. You will get excuse after excuse. Karen should also be fired for being bad at her job. She ll annoy you to death and is one of those people that needs to have the last word in. She also has a mom complex. Always feeling the need to tell people what they need to do. They cancelled my membership without my permission and overcharged me while I had the membership. I encourage anyone that has problems to reach out to Grand Prairie City Council.

Just the other day my friend drop a weight on his toes and it bruised immediately. Having that ice I think would be an amazing feature. Please consider this!

We went to the pool area by the gym for a birthday party and my kids did not want to leave! Lifeguards were very polite and there were people in the parking lot driving around to drop us off at the right place so we didnt have to walk. It was very warm, they have a kids splash area, slides, a pool with basketball hoops, a hot tub and a little lazy river. And i loved that there were so many family changing rooms with showers in them! Very convenient!

If I can give zero star, I would. It is unacceptable that the EPIC rented out their only futsal court to a local soccer team to practice during the time slot which supposed to be the weekly open play (Wednesday night 7:30pm-9:45pm) for all members. Here I am with my two kids and several other kids just sit there without a clue until I asked the coach and he told us that he rented the court. I went to complain to the front desk and all they can tell me that the athletic director rented the court out and tell me to fill a suggestion form. There were no notes or prior notices to us. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate to members who went there for the open play. I guess they value money more than members. The facility is nice, but seems like customer service take a back seat to $$$. PS: Got email & phone calls from the athletic director apologized for the situation and promised that EPIC has changed the rent-out policy. Updated to 3 stars for the customer service efforts.
