Having twins, boy and girl, is always very difficult for both of them to agree on a cake each year. We had a big celebration for their 15th birthday, Quinceañera. At the cake tasting Danny made sure we had such a great time but hard decision due to to all the flavors tasting amazing and the icing delicious and unique. We decided on 4 flavors. For the decoration we wanted to make sure it worked for the both of them and chose a Mexican theme cake with vibrant colors- Irene and her team perfected it. Thank you Irene for making my twins dream cake and bring a taste of home to all my family. Stunning work highly recommend. Great staff!

purchased a birthday cake there...lady gave to me without a box; it was cold and rainy. I asked for a box and was given a box with no lid and it was way bigger than the cake so it slid around and got scuffed up. Very disappointed.

Located on the historic Main Street of Lewisville, this is a great family-run bakery shop for special occasions. Irene worked with me to design a custom cake for a friend s birthday that was 70s groovy theme . The cake exceeded our expectations and was a huge hit. Her prices were fair and the service was amazing - you re greeted with warmth as soon as you walk in. Would definitely recommend!

Recently had gender reveal custom cake from Irene s bakery Here are the things I loved - 1. Cake was delicious, exactly as what we tasted before ordering 2. They were able to accommodate us 4-5 days before the event, which was awesome and we really appreciate that! Couple things I was expecting better given reviews and cost 1. It was gender reveal cake and disappointed that the pink inside was very light and was hardly visible; Gray kinda looked blue which was confusing. Being a professional bakery, I would definitely expect these things to be better. 2. A minor miss - The balloon was missing from the design we selected which was their original design. Will definitely recommend this bakery for the love of good cakes, but make sure to double check little details specifically if it s for an occasion!

Local business with great cakes and cupcakes. Everyone at our wedding enjoyed the churro cake and guest continue to enjoy the cupcakes we share. We absolutely love the churro. The other flavors like lemon, strawberry, pink champagne, and Mexican Chocolate are all delicious and light. They use a butter based icing but it is not overly sweet. When we did our tasting for the wedding they were supper accommodating on short notice and did an amazing job aiding us through the tasting process. -Thank You so much!!

First time ordering from this bakery and unfortunately, probably the last. I ordered the red velvet and the strawberry cupcakes and it didnt taste like red velvet at all. The cake didnt have much flavor, except for a hint of cinnamon, which is not even in red velvet cake. The frosting was tasteless and very greasy. Actually left my lips and mouth greasy. The frosting on the strawberry one was the same...very greasy. The strawberry cake was a bit dry and had that food coloring/chemical taste. Not a good first experience at all.

Im in love with this bakery! Danny and his wife Irene who run this shop are so sweet and kind. There cakes are honestly the best Ive had. The cake we got was moist, fluffy, had a amazingly light/refreshing flavors and the icing was nice and airy. We got strawberry as our top layer wich had real fresh sliced strawberries baked in and vanilla and raspberry cream as the bottom tier and both were soooooo good! They nailed exactly what I wanted our cake to look like.

Irene and her husband were a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was scheduled at The Olana originally for 5/2/2020. It was rescheduled to 7/26/2020 and we had no issues with the bakery on switching dates. Anytime I spoke to Ms. Irene she was pleasant and once it was time for the wedding she had everything ready to go for us. The cake was DELICIOUS!!. We saved our top tier. A lot of our guests were asking if we took cake home because they wanted more :). If you are looking for a wedding cake vendor or just some delicious treats to munch on Irenes Bakery is the place to go!

I really like the cake design they made similar even better than what I show them but unfortunately the cake didn t go well as expected. It was DRY, looked like brownies bt didnt taste good . In 10 inch,cake 2 layer cake we hardly found cream in cake. Their were 20 people in party none of my friends liked it really disappointing ,have to THREW away. Ruined all mood. I was searching for a bakery that I could trust for all of my special family events. With my ideal cake photo in hand, I contacted 10 bakeries. I eventually decided on Irenes. This was my first baby shower for my only daughter, and I needed something memorable. Irene was quick in replying to my email, and answered every one of my many questions. I ordered one marble cake and 25 matching cupcakes in 5 flavors. The cake looked exactly like the picture I had sent and she added the babys name as I requested. She even opened early so I could pick up the order and make it to the party location on time! If thats not service, I dont know what is! Everyone at the shower raved about the beauty and the taste of the confections. On April 18th I also ordered a specialty cake for a family member who is an electrician. Again, Irene was able to fit me into her busy schedule and again made an amazingly detailed cake that looked exactly like the picture Id sent. Everyone laughed at the electrician spool cake and it was truly the hit of the party. You have to see the attached photos to appreciate the workmanship. It was the best strawberry cake Ive ever tasted. In June 2019 I came back to Irenes for my granddaughters 1st birthday, and again Irene went out of her way to create a work of art. She even included a free smash cake so Genevieve could dig into her own cake. The photo op was amazing. I cant say enough good things about Irene and I will be using Irenes Bakery for all of my special events from now on.

Definitely a little surprised at my experience considering all the great reviews and how pleasant Irene was on the phone. My family and I went In for a tasting at my scheduled time of 11am. Owners husband was extremely nice however they didn t have anything ready. The cakes were dry like they were cooked days prior and not fresh at all. This was my first tasting I ve scheduled for my wedding cake and I was in complete shock that s how a tasting goes. I would think that if I was interested in spending almost $800 for a cake I would be served something fresh. The owner Irene was there and never came out to say Hello or anything. I understand she was busy making a cake for a deadline but it takes 15 seconds to say hello and thank people for their time. Also the place is not the cleanest, the son was decorating a cake while on his phone then wiped his phone off on his apron. Phones have so many germs I was shocked to see that being done. Needless to say I will not be back and hopefully going forward Irene can have a little more respect for potential customers.

My daughter was having her 10th birthday and I ordered a cake 4days in advance and was told by an employee to pick it up at noon on the day of her birthday even though her birthday was at 1pm( I dont know why was told like that???) Making story short my daughters birthday cake was not there so Ms. Irene was very apologetic about it and she came up with another solution by making a small cake in a short period of time and with the same design I asked for. Though the birthday party was late but my daughter had the blast. She enjoyed the cake. Ms. Irene also made sure that the money we paid as a deposit was enough because of our experience and she gave us free cupcakes. Even my husband was very happy with Ms. Irene quick thinking, she didnt just give us a refund but was able to make it up. P/S The only lesson I can give from this experience is when you want to make an order make sure you either go in person and talk to the owner(Ms. Irene) or if you call demand to talk to her so you can be at ease . Irene s Bakery did the greatest personal cake for my daughter and her husband at their wedding. They wanted a cake shaped like a shoe box, for them to cut. The cake was perfect and delicious. I have purchased cakes, cupcakes, and cake balls at Irenes and was beyond satisfied with everything. The first cake was key-lime, and it was a smash hit at a birthday party. I then called Irene one afternoon desperate for cupcakes and cake balls the next day. She was so sweet to me and got them ready by 10am the next morning, and they were amazing. On top of that, the people here are as sweet as the desserts. Highly recommend! Edit: recently got a happy retirement cake and gave pretty much no direction. Chocolate cake, cream cheese icing, maybe some flowers . Irene took that and made the GORGEOUS cake in the photo. So pleased!

Delicious and beautiful! I asked for a Van Gogh inspired cake, Starry Night inspired with a sunflower accessory. That is precisely what she delivered! We added the small cake candelabra. Overall delighted. The chocolate cake was moist and airy, the frosting not too sweet. Most importantly the frosting did not stain! Just perfect and the pricing very reasonable!

Buyer beware. The cake is horrible and the owner is horrible as well. The frosting was greasy, tasteless, and left a film of slime in your mouth. The cake was dry, like day old cornbread. I couldnt even identity the flavor. Took the cake back in to let the owner know we werent happy. Long story short my palette is messed up, because she makes the most amazing cakes ever. Oh and by the way, I am crazy. Let me put it in prescriptive, my mother baked professionally. I walked out leaving the cake in the bakery. We paid $40 for a cake 1) we couldnt eat and 2) it is in her bakery. You sold a product and received payment for in item we didnt get. Sounds like a rip off to me.

Waited 45 minutes for two salads and the Salad with the avocado literally had half an avocado with the peel on it still on it and chunck of peel in the salad and the medium rare steak salad had burnt steak that was dry with no red or pink to show. At this price extremely frustrating. Never again!

I purchased the pink champagne cupcakes as I have had them at another bakery and they were delicious. Reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try as it was local. The cupcakes had no flavor and the only thing you could taste was a greasy fattiness from the frosting. I didnt even finish my cupcake and threw the rest away.

3 month prior to the event October 21 I placed the order with Irene husband, gave them the picture of the pink cake requested for same cake just different color and the toper will be different. I was told the roses would be rosette My $400+ cake . I was very clear on the order this cake was to be purple and silver, I got gold, missing ribbon, detail on the crown was a rush job. I was suppose to pick up cake at 1:30 I received call from Irene husband if I could pick up cake at 3:00 as they were behind on order. Then another call came in to pick up cake at 3:30. I was suppose to be at the venue at 5pm in Pilot point. While arriving there the cake was not ready they said little minor details on the cake. waited about 20 mins when the cake was brought out I was shock at the detail of the cake yes it is a pretty cake but I was charged $400 + as I wanted the cake to look like the pink one and I was told It would. I read reviews before ordering my cake and saw a weeding cake disaster with color and though surely some miss communication. well here I am dissatisfied with this order. The pictures were off due to the gold trim, no ribbon, and no silver glitter sprinkle as order and no pearls on the crown. this cake was done in a rush, as Irene did say she stated to make the cake pink. I wonder? why not review the order before starting to make the cake. I was totally over charges for this cake. I would like to get some type of refund or compensation back, I will follow up with another review/ comment and let you all know if they called me to offer me a partial refund or some type of compensation. ****************************************************************** I am not trying to hurt your business this is a review to allow everyone know my experience with you. Every experience is different, and no I should have not be the one to ask you to correct the cake at the last minute, I order the cake 3 to 4 months in advance, it should have been perfect. Yes the cake is gorgeous and it tasted great but it is not what I order.

I order my wedding cake here. We set up a time with the owner to go over the cake design and flavor. I told the owner the main colors white, silver, and dusty pink/ neutral pink. I showed her the colors. The day of my wedding the cake was like a Neon Orange! It was ugly. I called her next day, she did not refund me a compensation, she offer me cake! What the heck, I dont need another cake! Damage is done, pictures were taken, it was ruined. If she had a problem getting the right color why she didnt call me? Never coming back.

VERY small cupcakes. About 3 spoonfuls of actual cake! Offensive to charge almost $3.50 for mini cupcakes. To the owner You had the right to decide to buy them or not was distasteful. Then to wrap it in a thank you, I hope you enjoyed them its very transparent your attempt. Also transparent is your extra wording attempt to try to justify the price. Youre doing that because you know they are extremely overprice. Home made ...gourmet . Of course they are home made no ones buying factory bought cake! Gourmet? Ive grown up with bakers in my family and cake is cheap! Bread. Its just sweet bread. You and others overcharging send people to Walnart and Krogers because they have VERY good cakes for $6 and $7. WHOLE cakes. Oh and VERY good, home made cupcakes of various flavors. Ask me how do I know.

I would not recommend this bakery! Even providing them with a picture my order was wrong! I ordered 20cupcakes with 2 color frosting and a large cake in the shape of a cupcake for the top. I was quoted $120 and the use of a tower to display everything to rent. After paying a $60 deposit I received a call that they misunderstood and they need to charge me more for the cupcake on top because its a cake not a cupcake!! I already knew it was a cake but they did not!! I told them I do not want to pay more so there way for helping me was to give me One jumbo cupcake with crapy detailed that fell off on the 10min drive from the bakery to my house which I paid $20 dollars for to go with the $60 deposit I already put down. This was their way of working with me! Which is what I was told after standing in the bakery for 15mins trying to understand how there was a disconnect when I provided a detailed picture and I received crap. And I was also told from I am assuming the owner that since she did not take my order she did not know what I wanted. So even with a picture she still did not know what I wanted. NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE THEM!

The key lime is my favorite flavor! The cakes, cupcakes and cake balls are amazing!! The cake balls I bought for a gift and my friend was truly grateful since not only were they delicious they were also beautiful decorated. I have gotten Irenes cupcakes in several occasions to take to my church meetings and are always a hit! The peanut butter and coconut are crowd pleaser. I literally just let there. I work 3 minutes from the bakery so I decided to stop by and try them. I got the red velvet cupcake and the key lime. First off the Key lime cupcake itself was either dense or was old, and it didnt taste like much of anything, but the frosting was good. The Red velvet was HORRIBLE.. it tasted like that dreaded purple or blue icing that comes on birthday cakes. Now maybe some people like that but i would prefer not to have a lingering chemical taste as an after bite. The cake part was much more moist than the key lime though. But again the frosting alone was good. I guess this place specializes in Good Frostings... It wasnt worth my $6, but ill live. Lesson Learned!!!

My husband ordered a cake for my birthday. I always ask fora white cake with white butter cream frosting. My husband tried Irenes. He paid $60 for the cake. When it arrived, it was pretty boring looking. Poor attempt at a bluebonnet. The frosting looked off white and definitely NOT butter cream. It had a chemical tasting cinnamon flavor. My husband immediately called the bakery and was told, I never have complaints. Its an Italian Butter cream frosting. I looked up recipes for an Italian butter cream frosting....there is no mention of adding cinnamon to the frosting. Her response was I will give you 20% off your next order. Seriously? NEXT order? Then she said she ould give us half of what we paid for it. I then tried the cake. OMG it was disgusting. Under cooked cake? You can not even handle baking a cake? The cake was YELLOW too. Not white as ordered. The owner did not want to hear any other complaints. She said all her customers LOVE her bakery goods. YOUR cakes SUCK!
