Liked the area but its needing some love. Bathrooms next to us at site 22 havent been cleaned in months, so for sure the grass wasnt cut either. Worst part was leaving and the dump station was full and had to find alternate means. We had another party arrive day after us and the main gate was down and no one there to let them in. Luckily we had the code or no telling how long they would have waited.

We stayed at Cedar breaks campground for 2 weeks. The sites are spacious but not level. It s Electric and water with a dump station by the entrance. Theres a picnic shed , bbq grill and fire pit. There s a security gate so you must have code to get inside. There are bathrooms but I did not use them. The picnic area by the lake is nice and there s steps to get down to the water.

Nice campground, however, it has gone downhill the past few years. They need to start upgrading. ie. Trees needed trimmed for bigger RVs, Camper parking pads are starting to deteriorate, grass needed mowed, needs at least 2 dump stations, need to spray for mosquitoes like they used to.

Just spent 5 nights in Cedar Breaks COE campground in Georgetown, TX. Site 10. Level and spacious. Not all sites were level. Park is open to day use, which added to traffic at check in when the boat parking was full. Campground is gated with a code sent to you by email. Bathrooms were COE clean. Water pressure was great in shower, but it was push button. Hot enough water in the summer heat. Very quiet mid-week. Cell service for Verizon was useable. Although treed, Starlink 3rd generation worked well for streaming. Georgetown offers many opportunities for shopping and a variety of local and chain restaurants. Toilets: The showers were useable. The water pressure was excellent. The temperature was warm which was ok on hot summer days. The shower was operated by push button. They were not dirty, but definitely a campground shower with some daddy long legs etc! Dog-friendliness: My dog enjoyed walking the whole campground loop of about .75 miles

This Corps of Engineers park is a short drive from Georgetown. It definitely lives up to its name with the scent of cedar everywhere. We had a great site that was surrounded by cedar trees that made it feel very private. The bathrooms were clean and also offered showers. Each campsite has a nice small pavilion covering a picnic table. It was a great place for enjoying the outdoors. Access to the lake was not available in the area I stayed because of a steep cliff.

I love this park. A large group of us were here for the eclipse 2024. The park is clean and the hosts are helpful and friendly. Two issues. There were some little dogs in the trailer behind us that barked for 6 days and no one did anything about it. That won t always happen. Many of the sites are very un level. My 30ft Class A s front tires were about 7 inches off the ground when I leveled. The shorter rigs didn t have as much trouble as I did. There are more level sites so be careful when you book if that s an issue for you. I was in 037. The view of the water was beautiful The bathrooms are older but clean and the shower was warm.

Great park, nice hosts. Not every site is flat so if you have a big RV getting it level will be a struggle. The web site has picture of the structures that basically look the same. What really matters is that parking spur, but dont have any tips on how to pick one out that is as flat as you might need! Sorry about that. Its why I gave it a 4. Nice hiking trail near by.

This is a nice campground on Lake Georgetown. The sites are large and well separated, and many of them are on the lakefront. Each site has a shelter and table, a fire pit, and a barbeque grill. In fact, this would be a 5 star campground if the restrooms had been cleaned in the last month. Scum on the walls and floors, dead insects, scraps of toilet paper. Still, a nice place to camp. Just not a nice place to use the facilities.

The park is pretty nice with large sites. I give it one star because the bathrooms are deplorable. The mens urinals are caked with dried urine, and the showers barely work. The sinks are too small to use, and the water fountains are shut off. The sites have water and electricity but NO sewer. If you are planning to use the bathrooms, be prepared. The Corps of Engineers should be ashamed of these bathrooms.

The park is very nice. There are a few RV sites that are pretty level but most slope. All have covered p patio and table. There is plenty of wildlife to watch. Now to the bathooms. We do not use them but always look before we post reviews. The bathrooms are very outdated and not cleaned well. The floors and walls are always dirty, the rooms always have an oder. Its surprising as this park Nine Sets of Park hosts living here full time. With a staff that big, this park should have bathrooms that are spotless at least once a day. This could be a 5-star park if they would just clean the bathrooms better.

We always enjoy parks built by the Army Core of Engineers. Cedar Breaks was clean and for the most part well maintained. The only small issue we had was one of the two showers was broken. Also, it looks Ike the urinals have not been cleaned in a long time. The park was priced well and staff were polite.

The campground is beautiful, sites atop a cliff, amazing sunset views. Sites were mostly level and paved. No sewer hookup but has a functional dumpstation. Playground: Didnt see any playgrounds Toilets: The 4 star comes from the bathrooms; urinals reminiscent of a stadium, gross, metal and smelly. The showers, only 1 worked and they are on a push-button that resets every 10 seconds with no temperature control, slightly warm though. Picnic area: Picknick areas along the lake were very nice. Likely better when the lake is full.

It feels kind of unfinished, maybe because it is? Also its Texas. Theres not a whole lot in the way of flora and fauna the land offers. But watching the birds play in the strong winds coming up the side of San Gabriel Dam makes it worth it. Idk if thats technically part of the park, but their behavior is fascinating. Vultures, I think. Just walk out on to the dike road and watch em.

Like most COE parks, it is in desparate need of maintenance. If you allow 5th wheel trailers in these parkes, you really should trim the trees at least to the point where it wont do damage to them. Also, I understand enforcing parking rules, and i agree with it, but there are also rules for barking dogs, and they should be enforced as well.

Beautiful lake and campsite and one of my favorite spots to hike, BUT if you plan to camp know that there is no water access to the lake from campsite and would not recommend a tent. We grilled and got harassed/annoyed by at least 4 raccoons they are ballsy and will just run up to you. Went to throw our trash & food away, there were at least 20 surrounding the dumpsters. Came back to the campsite and they ransacked our belongings. Couldnt even enjoy our dinner or overnight stay, left our tent and bedding behind and got out of there asap due to raccoons growling at us the entire night. Not worth the money and did not feel safe. Very unfortunate and disappointing experience for our first camping attempt. If you have a camper Im sure its more enjoyable and less of an inconvenience.

Its about a 3.5mi hike to the falls. The entire trail is gorgeous, peacful, full of shade. Wear good walking shoes. Have some water and your phone. It gets quite rocky, but its manageable if you take you take your time & watch your foot placement. ENJOY!!

Yelled for Mike. Mike did not come. Yelled again. Still no Mike. How dare he not realise I was being run over by a parked car. Terrible near death experience. Would not recommend.

This park has always been a favorite of ours. It is close to so many things, yet far enough away that you feel like you are vacation camping at the lake. Cedar Breaks is just one of the few camping locations around Georgetown run by the Army Corps of Engineers. There is also Jim Hogg Park that allows RV camping. Russell and Tejas parks allow tent camping only. All of the parks have day park areas, and all but Tejas Park offers boat ramps. The sites are well maintained, and staff are fabulous. We invested in a park pass as we visit so much. Cedar Breaks is harder to get into the others. We usually have to plan pretty dar in advance unless were lucky and there is a cancelation.

This place has camping, boat ramps, and covered picnic tables with about 10 ft trails that lead to lake Georgetown. I love to come here with my pup. They have bathrooms, but no showers. I also highly recommend getting the year pass that is only $40.

Went on Memorial Day with 2 veterans and a handicapped pass. Would not let us park in open spots said lot was full. Not a way to treat veterans on Memorial Day
