For the size you cant really find one near by, the ice area smells horrible like an area been walked by thousands of people with foot odor. The staffs are ok sometimes when asked questions the response always you can send email to that person posted there. No announcement to email if the center be closed to special events. Sometimes showing up just to be told no classes today.

Hockey locker room bathrooms are disgusting. Try and hold your breath the entire time youre in there. The toilet stall is also lacking a door. More often than not there is not adequate parking. If both rinks and the courts are being utilized you will have to park at the school across the street. When that fills up, you have to drive to NRH and park there. Hockey players must check in before every game. Theres only one place to do so and you wait in line behind people wanting to buy Brahmas souvenirs. Locker room numbers are almost never posted on the screens. Doors on the benches could really use some WD40. If youre playing after a kids tournament game, the ice will be terrible even though it was zammed.

We were there for a gymnastics competition. Nice, large facility - easy tobsee your gymnast feom the bleachers. Looks like they also had 2 sheets of ice in the building - there was quite a bit of hockey playing going on at the same time, in different parts of the complex.

Great place. Id definitely come here more often for public skate sessions if they had some sort of monthly program. Skating once a week would be $60 a month. If I could use it as a sort of gym for $60 a month, Id be there 2-3 days a week. Too expensive for me at the moment.

We have tickets to bring our kids to their first game. The tickets say 7:30, the website for the Brahmas says 7:30 but the Nytex site says 6:30 on their calendar. We tried calling the center...No answer for front desk, no answer at ticket booth (3 hours before supposed puck drop) and no answer at the bar and grill attached to the center. Very...VERY disappointed thus far.

The only reason for four stars is that the smell from the hockey players locker room will make you nauseous as you walk into the volleyball arena. They have a restaurant and bar since the Brahma s play there so that s a bonus. Overall a good experience.

I wouldnt call it an upscale facility, but for what it is and the events that they host here, what a fun place to go! There are at least 2 ice hockey rinks, a half dozen volleyball courts, and even a full service restaurant complete with outside patio seating, and the restaurant also has a full view of the smaller ice rink. I gotta admit, one visit and Im hooked. Go Bramas!

Some roided up guy in a black truck saw me putting it in his dumpster, sped through the ally and cussed me out telling me how illegal it was for me to use his dumpster. Clean up your trash then you piece of trash! After reading the other reviews I m guessing it was the shady owner

Okay this is more for people attending Volleyball Tournaments at Nytex! The floors are great! There isn t a net between the courts so quite a few jump balls from balls being on our court from other courts. They have a full restaurant that you can dine in That is amazing. The bleachers are great and you can bring in Stadium seating, no lawn chairs allowed. tons of seating to watch your court. The best seating arrangement we have had! The concession stand had fruit and yogurt but also the regular concession foods, pretzel, nachos. Chips/ candy. They did have Gatorade and water for sale too. It does get COLD bc it s next to an ice rink. I took a blanket and I was happy to have it. Overall this has been my favorite volleyball tournament facility mainly bc the seating is ideal and having a restaurant is super convenient.

Beware if you pay and they dont have your size skate cause youll be out $20 through no fault of your own. Tough luck! No help from anyone. I noticed the extremely low ratings of this ice rink after my bad experience too little too late. When does it ever make sense for a business to take $20 from someone and then not provide the necessary equipment for the activity and refuse a refund due to their lack of proper equipment?

Ive waited a while to write this review because I didnt really want to do it, but it needs to be said for the owners to take into consideration. I know this rink is a training rink and more about hockey, or so Ive been told by the children that work there. This is the most dangerous rink Ive ever been to for public skate. Not just once but every single time Ive been to this rink, the person who is paid to monitor during public sessions is distracted by friends, a boy or girlfriend, phone, or just not aware period. There are mini hockey players going every which direction and flying over the side rails while people who are new, are desperately hanging on to the sides, but all at risk of getting a blade to the face. Teenagers sit on the rails and people in general are skating whatever direction they choose. Being a well-trained figure skater growing up, I really never fall, but even I was mowed down by a little hockey player. Funny? no though people laughed, I was injured at the time and the preoccupied skate guard never even noticed. That occasion and every other time Ive attempted to skate at this facility, the staff, kids at the front say, well...this is a training rink..? or, oh yea, thats her boyfriend. Shes been told about that, Ill let her know to watch better...? Im thinking, ..I just told you I was injured because it is utter and complete chaos and the response is basically...oh well. Not even an apology. I was dumbfounded at the response or lack there of. The people that work the counter could absolutely care less... What they need to understand is that, while this is a training rink, it is also a place that offers public skate. That means offering it responsibly so that no one gets seriously hurt! It really stinks to have a place so close to skate at, but then have to feel anxious with worry about one of your family members being seriously injured because of the lack of attention given to these issues. Its not convenient, but we now drive to Euless to skate and for anyone else having the same issue here, check out the Dr Pepper Center. It truly is a much safer place.

We had a pretty good time ice skating! We went there to skate for two days in a row. On the first day, we asked for some sharp hockey skates, But they were not sharp. You couldn t really brake so all we could do was skate in circles. As an experienced skater who didn t have their skates with them, it was very frustrating. On the rink there were a couple of figure skating classes going on during the public skating hours. They would mark up some lines and curves on the ice for the figure skaters. Since everyone is going in circles, it was pretty dangerous when a figure skater would suddenly weave into your path. They made very unpredictable moves and took up a lot of space. They would also play their slightly annoying routine song on the main speakers. It seems like they shouldn t be allowed to do these things during public hours. On the second day, it was a Wednesday so we got half off! When we went to get our skates we said that the skates yesterday were dull so could we get some sharp skates. They handed us our skates so we put them on. However one of my skates was very dull. Even when I would skate slowly, it would slip. I asked for another pair and I got a better one. Overall I was very disappointed in the condition of the rental skates. And that the figure skates could have there classes during the public skating hours. Maybe they could rent the whole rink like all of the hockey teams!

I don t think they provide a good learning experience for the young kids. The fee for classes is reasonable but the coaches don t really care about the kids. Most of them are very indifferent about their students and they look frustrated and tired. I am not sure if they like what they do and as a result, it looks like they don t really care if the kids learn. There are some 12 kids in their Basic 1 class for 6 yo first timers and just one coach who literally can t care less about them. Unfortunately there are not many ice skating classes near Fort Worth but this one is definitely not a sports class that I recommend.

Staff was super friendly, food and drinks were great and not tremendously over priced. 4 stars not 5 because we had to ask 4 people about our seat locations and the parking situation is rough. Also went for the gun show. Parking was also rough for that event. They really need more parking if hosting multiple events or groups at the same time.

Parking is an absolute nightmare at NYTEX, they had multiple sporting events running simultaneously. We were there for hockey, they stacked 3 teams into a single locker room and failed to post locker room assignments. Holistically this is a decent place, just poorly designed and based on feedback from other parents who have been here multiple times events are poorly scheduled causing parking issues and over crowding.

There are a number of shops & kiosks inside for food & clothing. What I saw appeared clean. I believe there are 2 rinks. It looked as if the facility is kept very busy. There were all ages there, from about 5 or 6 to the teams I saw play (maybe 19 to 25). I saw some older patrons bringing in equipment bags even at 9:45pm. The staff was friendly & helpful. I dont know all the attributes but it appeared a nice place for ice skating.

I end up at this sports center a lot for my kids activities. First, they dont allow outside food or drinks. So if youre attending a 6 hour tournament, you have to pay 3.25 for a small water. If youre like me youll just sneak you food and drinks in because I wouldnt trust buying food or drinks (even if they are prepackaged) from an establishment with such disgusting bathrooms. I mean they are absolutely filthy. Also bring your own kleenex because they are always out of toilet paper. The building smells like raw sewage. I would NEVER buy food or drinks here. If they dont care about their deplorablebathrooms they wont care about how your food is handled. I cant wait until the day that I never have to enter this building again. Until then I will not pay a dollar to them and I will continue sneaking my food and drinks.

Thus place desperately needs to be cleaned and upgraded. The restrooms are disgusting, toilet seats broken, trash overflowing, etc... There is potential but needs some TLC.

Great hockey leagues for adults! Ice can be dicey at times but thats all the rinks in Texas. Drinks and pizza at the restaurant are awesome and the pizza is so good that you took order it to take home. You can also watch beer league games from the bar/restaurant.

Great facility! Went to see friends son play some hockey! Could use a pass through window for restaurant into the one rink though.

Nice facilities. Ice could have been cleaned during the day. It was a little rough. And although there was plenty of signage for the wearing off masks, about 1/3rd of people didnt wear masks. For indoor activities like this they need to tighten this up.

We go there frequently when we dine in or pick up pizza at Zuroma. Facility is top notch, plenty of parking. Not into ice sports per say but its a very nice Sports Centre.
