I recently saw a post in this group that recommended Besas Italian Restaurant. We were doing a family dinner tonight with 9 people and the place we originally picked happens to be closed on Saturdays. So I dug through the posts and found the recommendation and I am so glad we went. It was the best Italian food I ve had since our summer trip to Italy. I look forward to becoming a regular and think you should run, not walk, to try it out!

Just went up north to Connecticut and this pizza reminds me of the pizza up there, its that good! The wings were also amazing super fresh and amazing sauce. The costumer service was amazing everyone was so nice. Its super well priced. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Im out of town, so I didnt know anything about restaurant, sad but I was not impressed. I was so looking for some good Italian. The pasta was angel hair as requested. Thank you! But the sauce didnt have a taste. The bread was very stale. Didnt care for the dressing. My fault, I should have requested Italian or ranch.

Pizza is kinda my thing, I have to say this may very well be the best pizza I have had in 10 years. When a basic slice of cheese pizza is the perfect crisp to fold ratio. Has the cheese pull and a crust you want to finish, that s the sign of true greatness. The sauce is not too sweet or too much of it which is a lot of pizza shops down fall. This is just about as close to perfect as possible. If you haven t tried it this is your new pizza place. Trust me!

Bess s is one of our new favorite date night places. The food is absolutely delicious. Something as simple as their spaghetti with marinara was somehow so good compared to other places. I got the Bess s special and it was very tasty. Their chicken parm has a beautiful crust that was as equally delicious. I highly recommend coming here.

Nice place. They had me order at the counter and get my own drink and refills from a public facing drink dispenser. When my food was ready they brought it to the table I selected. You can tell a real independent Italian pizza place in Texas because they have soccer playing on the television and the staff love it. I ve only seen this in Texas but I ve seen it multiple places. Enjoyed the calzone and it wasn t a long wait.

Ive been here a lot of times in the last few years. Its one of my go-to restaurants when I dont feel like cooking something at home. I ordered food to be delivered from the restaurant today and they delivered the food for my family and me. I opened the bag in the kitchen and saw the bag had leaked through my living room, dining room, and was now leaking in my kitchen. Come to find out, my food was opened and pouring out. I call the restaurant and they promise to deliver a new entree for me. The owner of the restaurant came about 20 minutes later with the food, asked for the proof, and upon showing him the proof, was irate because he felt it wasnt a big deal. He exchanged a fair share of words, then told us to never call him or his restaurant again. He left, then turned around and came back to my door and tried to get me to open it for him(I didnt) then he left.

I ordered catering for a large group meeting and cant say enough good things, from the Great service to how delicious the food looked and tasted. Highly recommend the Lasagna, made with fresh ingredients and hot out of the oven; was served with homemade rolls. I will definitely be ordering from Besas again soon. I called in an order today and I ordered the Chicken Artichoke but when I got to work and opened it I received Chicken Cacciatore and I am not a fan of mushrooms. The chicken was tender just very bland and I would like to have more sauce it was kinda dry. The inside of the rolls were good, not garlicky like I wanted but good, I picked the inside out because the top and bottom were hard.

Some of the best Italian food I ve had in my entire life! Chain restaurants shouldn t survive against restaurants like Besa s! The fresh rolls brought out were soft warm and garlicky, and then we had the manicotti which was so rich and creamy I ate every bite. Great food at a resonable price. I enjoyed the Stromboli, the best Ive had in the Dallas area. It was fresh, filled with cheese and meat. Ok ... big surprise. I went here a LONG time ago and I didnt recall anything amazingly good or amazingly bad about it. I usually go to Salis to be honest. One day I wanted spaghetti and Salis was closed (think they arent open on tuesdays). I decided to do an order from Besas. I got the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs and the spaghetti with meatpacking and mushrooms. Hands down one of the best spaghetti Ive had in the north dallas area. The buttermilk salad dressing is exceptional.

Delicious food but there was almost nothing on the menu that didn t include pasta and sauce. Don t go here if you re conscientious about healthy eating. However, I had the salmon piccata which was delicious and it seems too be pretty authentic. The restaurant is owned by an Italian family, but I ve never been to Italy, so I leave that judgement to those of you who have. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant. It s basic diner table and chairs and the building itself is old and in need of an update.

Very friendly family owned, casual Italian cafe. We just spent 3 weeks in Italy, so we were looking for a more real authentic mom&pop Italian family owned cafe near us. Besas staff is great, very good table service, polite, helpful. The food is good, more an American-style Italian food...at least the entrees we had. I dont know if the guy who waited on me even had a clue of what good hospitality looks like because he didnt show it except thank me as I left the place. This guy frowned so hard when I entered the restaurant I almost left immediately, when he asked what I was there for (its restaurant that sells food). I was insulted at this point. I was then asked if I wanted it to go or dine-in, and regrettably I said dine-in. I selected a seat near the front to clearly be seen and there was only one other couple in the place. He asked for my type of drink I wanted, then went & got it and also brought some dinner rolls that were so stale I could hard bite it. I asked if the Spaghetti was made with Italian sausage, he said no! Guys this is supposed to be an Italian Restaurant. I shouldve taken this second mishap as another opportunity to leave. But I didnt I ordered anyway giving this place yet another chance. My order came and the food was hot and horrible. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce. It was made with angel hair pasta - not spaghetti noodles and whatever was in the meatballs was definitely not real ground beef or Italian sausage. The sauce was completely bland and void of any Italian spices. What you see in the photos was what I put on it in order to not waste it altogether. Then I choked some of it down & hoped I wouldnt vomit it back before leaving the place. I only asked for a to-go carton to take this mess with me in case I had to go to the hospital afterwards. Obviously I will never eat here again, you do not get to treat me with disdain & serve bad food. This place should know they are an insult to all Italian Restaurants. Generally Italians are kind & the best at hospitality & great tasting food. Parking: Be very careful walking up from the parking lot the steps are made awkward and not handicapped accessible even though there is a railing the steps are too wide apart.

Stromboli could use more meat since it was a all meat one. More cheese than meats but it was good. Salis in Garland has been hard to compete with for us. The portions and filling seem to me larger than most other places serving same foods.

My wife and I love Besas, we go there often and its about time I wrote a review. The service is always great, the wait staff is always polite and friendly. The food is excellent. I recommend the Chicken Pesto, Chicken & Sausage Rigatoni, or Stromboli/Calzone. But honestly their pizza is the best, thin crust or thick crust you cant go wrong. We like it with extra cheese.

Went to lunch with the birthday club. This was my first time here. Everyone did a great job. The food was delicious, our waitress did a wonderful job. My family and I have been going to Besas for years. Its a staple in our home. Whether pick up or dine in, you are treated like family every single time you step foot in the door. Ive been here multiple times over the past 8-10 years or so, it was great food then and still is now. Staff are friendly, owner is very welcoming, and the pizza is absolutely amazing. Such a nice family-friendly place. Youre almost always greeted by one of the owners and they work hard to get your food out to you in a timely way. My young kid says this is my favorite restaurant! because of the friendliness. My kids love their pizza and we enjoy the salmon piccata. Prices are reasonable and great that its BYOB. Only way it could improve is if they offered gluten free pasta. Parking: Plenty of close by parking. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly and kids love the pizza.
