If you ve never taken a Segway tour, I d highly recommend this one with Aaron. He is full of Galveston history and knowledge and it was a wonderful way to explore the area. We had an absolute blast and will take this tour again when we visit again. It was a first for our teens and they picked up the Segway s with total ease as having previous hoverboard experience. It was really great!!

Went to Galveston for the first time ever with my boyfriends family and we did the 2 hour tour with Willy D. THE BEST EVER. He was so funny and went above and beyond for us during the tour. Such a fun sunset tour and an unforgettable experience. Will definitely be coming back!!

This was an amazing tour! We had a group of only six of us, and while we signed up for the history tour, it was absolutely customized to the things all of us wanted to see! We were able to enjoy murals, some trees, history of homes, fountains, the ocean walk, hurricane heights, the historical square - it was truly so much fun! Definitely suggest a tour called a little bit of everything . As far as the Segway, I had never driven one before. The tutorial and training made me comfortable; if teenagers could do it, so could I! By the end of it all, I felt like a pro - it s very easy to learn so don t be deterred if you ve never done it! The audio piece made it easy so you could hear everything and not miss out on the experience. We will absolutely do this again when in Galveston!

Awesome experience! Four seniors, two of whom had never been on a Segway, enjoyed an amazing experience with SegCity Tours of Galveston. Our seasoned and patient guide/trainer, Dee, made the event even better. She spent time with each of us to assure we all knew how to manipulate and felt comfortable on the Segway -- and several of us needed the detailed lessons. We took the history tour and learned a lot that we did not know. From start to finish, it was just fun and enjoyable. Dee took several photos of our group at key landmarks so that we would have something to remember our day for years to come. Money will spent!!

One of the highlights of our trip to Galveston! Dee was amazing when we called to get info on the tour & check out the Segways. Aaron was our tour guide & he was very knowledgeable about all things Galveston. At the beginning of the tour, he asked the group what we were most interested in & then made sure to cover those things. He was also extremely patient with our 12 year old daughter s questions & he had a great sense of humor. We will be doing this tour again. I can t recommend this business enough.

We ve lived here on the island full time for almost six years and have seen the tours in progress. We finally did the moon Magical History Tour today and were fortunate to be the only two! Asa Hall was fantastic, patient and had a calming demeanor for a nervous rider (me). It s really a lot easier than you think it would be, just don t overthink it. All you really have to is stand and shift your weight backward and forward. Turning is a breeze. Definitely a must for any age! Note it s best to pay extra for the go pro and water and be aware that your legs might be heavy after. Lots of great local info re structures, tree carvings, art and Galveston history. Highly recommended!

We ride with Dee EVERY YEAR when we go to Galveston! I learn something new each time we ride! She makes each trip unique! Really appreciated the new addition of headsets so you could hear every word she said, even while we were rolling! This time however, she went above and beyond to make it a super special ride as this was the first time our teenage grandkids could ride with us! She took the time to stop and take the best cool pictures for our family! I will cherish them always! They are still talking about how much fun they had! We did the historical Galveston tour with Asa and the ghost tour with Tyson. Both were great. It was hot but your moving so its tolerable. Both tour guides were so smart, fun, and informative. You will learn so much about Galveston and its history. I highly recommend it. This was my 3rd time and I will def go again sometime.

We booked the two hr historical tour and it was fun. Me & my mom were from out of town so we really enjoyed all the facts and scenery. It started to rain during our tour and we had to pull over a few and wait. We did not do a full two hrs tour it was an hr and half. The guy was kool no problems.

Unreasonable price for the quality of the tour. The facility was filthy, the guide didnt even come to the door to greet us or say hello, the toilet flush didnt work. A simple courtesy could have been to provide bottled water after charging 56 dollars to customers for one hour of random turns and twists. The bottles of water were additional charge and they were not even chilled. The helmets were not a good fit, I tried at least 4. That is unsafe for the rider. The guide barely providing any historical references during the tour. We had told that most of the ladies are older and have never done Segway before so we need more support. There was only one guide for 10 of us and no one was watching the people left behind. A lady fell very badly and had a concussion. The guide didnt immediately offer any help. He was just watching what was going on. They didnt even have a candy or something in the event such incidences happen. The tour itself was enjoyable to a certain extent but the above mentioned problems left me disappointed.

We loved our tour guided by Willie D! He made all of us first-time riders feel comfortable and took the time to ensure we were able to maneuver like pros before starting. The tour was very historic and Willies great sense of humor simply leant to the fun we had. We cannot recommend this experience enough. This was well worth the $75 or so per person. Never had the chance to ride a Segway until now and my wife and I loved it! Our tour group was only 4 including our guide (who did a great job) meaning it was very personal, at our pace, and allowed for lots of questions. We learned a lot about Galveston and were able to cover a ton of ground effortlessly, leading to us seeing a LOT of different places. Again, highly recommended!

We took the 2.5 hour Magical History tour of Galveston. My husband and I have both done Segway tours in other cities, and while we had a nice time, this one just didnt stack up. This was our boys first Segway tour, and they described it as fun to ride the Segway, but the tour part wasnt great. Our host seems like a super nice guy, but the tour itself was definitely lacking in any detail or real history. We got a lot of looking at old houses, but not much info about the history of the town. There were a few super interesting tidbits (serial killer, mafia?!) that I would have loved more detail about. The entire last 45 minutes or so was just driving along the seawall, with no history at all.. In addition, the communication device was just bad. If you were at the end of line (there were 9 of us) you couldnt hear the host at all. Our host did try to remedy the situation by getting us all together whenever he told a story, but at one point, he was explaining that we needed to line up two-by-two to get through a tight stoplight, and we couldnt hear any of the explanation. Thankfully, our boys, who were further up in the line could tell us what was happening or we could have had a safety concern. Overall, the Segways were fun and it was a nice way to see the island, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Took my daughter and two of her friends today for the haunted tour. It was so much fun, Dee was wonderful and very informative. I made reservations with Dee she was knowledgeable and informative on the different tours which help me make our decision on which one to take. Showed up all reservations were there and met Asa. He was so great, professional, knowledgeable about all the history, and just a cool guy.. My party of 4, aged 10-38 loved everything about the 2 hr tour. This was one of the best tours I ve ever had. We did the sculpture tour with Antonio! Hecwascsnacubg, interesting and so knowledgeable about Galveston! Not only did we see numerous tree stump sculptures but he included history and the historical district housing as well as a few mansions!! This was a while island tour of history, facts and fun all rolled into one. I urge you to ask for Antonio because he was terrific!!

We were in Galveston on a gloomy day, but the Segway tour made it a perfect day! Asa gave a very interesting and entertaining historical tour. I have done a lot of tours in Galveston, but I learned so much on this 2 hour historical tour.

This is our second time to go to the Segway tour and they accommodated us since I m prego with twins to use golf cart instead of segways and they took me and my husband around and told us history of the area I had the beat time on this tour prolly my most fav if u want the best experience you need to take this tour last time we were here we did the segways and that was super fun we will be back to do this again next time we come to Galveston!

I have teens and they all loved it. The guide was really informative. He showed us a little of everything. I think this is what the kids liked the most. Best part is it got them off their phones for a while and they got some fresh air.

Booked this tour for Haunted Legends but as it would turn out it was more of a generic vague version of all the tours they offered. Our guide was patient and helpful in teaching us to use the segway but the tour itself was very disappointing. Our guide spent too much time discussing government conspiracy theories and Hollywood stars who have enough money to pay off judges.

We loved it. Took us about 5 minutes to get the hang of it, after that it was great. Explored all of Strand, through the city streets viewing historic homes, down to the SeaWall to Pleasure Pier, and then back to the Strand for ice cream.

You have got to do this! This business staff was professional, safety minded, patient while teaching how to ride and teaching safety. The girl in the office taught each of us to ride then another man took us on the ghost tour. I had no idea the tragic events that have taken place in Galveston. He gave us breaks when we needed it and kept us safe at all times. This is a FAMILY thing to do. If you are like us and travel with teenagers - you will be so happy to bring them in this !!! Usually we get this is boring, boring, boring. But not with this! Our 16 year old LOVED IT! IM DEFINITELY going to be a repeat customer. A+

Awesome experience! Segways always looked very tricky but I was very surprised at how easy they are to ride! In minutes I had the hang of it. Lile is the best; she was super cool and made the tour very enjoyable. I learned a lot about Galveston and as time went felt even more comfortable on the Segway! I definitely recommend SegCity to everyone. Cant wait to ride them at other places across the state...I kept telling her that I like NEED to get me one. They are a blast I swear!

It is a little pricier than other activities in Galveston, but the segway tours really educate you on the history of the town and the historical buildings/landmarks in the area. Our tour guides name was John Paul and he was fun to follow around and ask questions. If you can balance yourself on 2 legs, you can ride a segway!

Very phenomenal segway tour. Asa was our guide today and he was very easy going and knowledgeable about the city. He knows how to get first time riders confertable and confident on the segway. He is a very professional tour guide knowing several facts about galveston and answered all questions we had fully and clearly. He has a passion for segway riding and he really wants you to be able to enjoy your time out. Again, Very pleased with our tour and it s a must do if you are in galveston for a vacation!

Very dishonest company. On December 27th we paid for a tour. It was supposed to be 73 and sunny but the weather changed in the morning to 48 and rainy. My husband, daughter and I were the only people on our tour. The very nice guy with the braid called the owner Dee s husband to ask if we could have a refund and he said YES. Dee was supposed to show up because she was doing the tour. She didn t show after a 1/2 hour and we were told that the charges would be reversed as soo as she showed. January 2nd I called and talked to Dee who said the charge was reversed but she would do it a second time. Here we are January 8th and my credit card company said they never reversed any charges. Can we say completely dishonest? Yes we can!!!

Amazing! We did the history tour and it was great. Our guide Dee showed us all these amazing spots. Gave us great local insight into island. She told us about the amazing history. Showed us some of tree carvings on the island. Im so glad we did this on the first day here. It changed our plans completely and I think our trip is a million times better for taking this tour.

We had a lot of fun and guide knew a lot about Galveston history. Reason for the four stars is we paid a higher price for the full tour only to find everyone else paid for the shorter tour and stayed with us the whole time. :(

Dee was fantastic and very patient and concerned with everyone safety. She was informative & knowledgeable of the history of Galveston & we really enjoyed learning about the citys past. We (two 14 year olds and myself) had a blast with John Paul as our guide on the 2 hour history tour! It was worth the $$! He made it a lot of fun and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. We enjoyed hearing about things we never knew about Galveston and hearing stories about several of the historical sites and homes. This was the most fun part of our vacation here and I would recommend it as a first day activity while vacationing so you can get great ideas on places to eat and other sites to visit while in Galveston.
