I did a self tour on the Elissa ship. It was interesting to know this is one of the last 3 ships that still sail. It sails for 2-3 hours in April.

The Captain and Deckhand of the Seagull II dolphin tour were fantastic. It was a lot of fun and they really helped make it a special experience. We saw lots of dolphins and got a very long and wide modern and historic tour of the entire harbor. The museum was very cool, a semi-interactive look at some old seafaring immigration life. The person at the desk, Sage, was helpful and informative and helped answer all of our questions about the Elissa. This entire experience was worth every penny and is good enough to be repeated.

We did the self guided tour of the ship today followed by the harbor tour. The ship its self is a great tour spot and since our first visit the renovations are complete. About 40 min of exploring and learning about the ship. Then the harbor tour was super informative and well lead by our guide and captain. As well as we got to watch a ton of dolphins surfing a cng ship.

Great experience here! Our server was wonderful (I wish I remembered her name. Lighter complexion, black lady, curly hair). She was knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. The food was fresh and hot. Ceasar salad was great, the crab cake entree was delicious-a bit salty but it was mostly in the blackened part. TONS of fresh crab on top of the crab cake! The cream sauce was delicious as well. The lobster bisque was super tasty and had lump crab in it as well- a little salty as well.

It is a must see if you go to Galveston. It is an old sailing boat, from the late 1800s. You can climb aboard and tour the entire boat. The crew and captains cabins can be seen; his office and the paperwork that was done for transport and trade manifests. It is a very interesting visit. It is definitely one of the things to see and do in Galveston.

We took a tour of the harbor on a blustery day with the waves a bit more powerful than usual. The captain handled the boat so well that I really did not notice it too much. We saw a pod of dolphins, including a calf (baby dolphin). We learned about a few WW1 and WW2 vessels as we passed by them and also learned about the various cruise ships that come to the port of Galveston. (We also learned which cruise ship is known for partying and which one is more refined. ) The captain was so informative and also very funny as he told stories and provided information about the sights in the harbor. I think we will make this an annual event!

It gets kinda hot below deck (but we did go in the summer after all) but they do have fans running down there. They also had some old books/documents out on the tables that were cool to see. The nearby gift shop was also nice and had reasonable pricing as far as gift shops go. IMO, its a must see while youre here as its a port city.

We bought combo tickets to both the Elissa and the Ship to Shore immigration museum. Both were quite well done, and the museum in particular told the story of immigration to Galveston. I do wish there had been some staff on the Elissa to answer questions (we saw literally nobody on board) but overall I recommend both destinations.

Nolan & Brian on the Seagull 2 were amazing tour guides. They answered all of our questions, talked to our kids that had a million things to tell them about our trip & told us some really awesome facts about the history of all of the things we got to see. My kids have already asked if we could come back & we definitely will
