I went to pickup a DoorDash order and the lady with the long blonde hair yelled at me multiple times demanding that I pronounce properly the name of the client s order. Then she tells me to wait for the order and immediately she starts ignoring me. I spend 15 min waiting for the order and it never came out. The whole situation felt discriminatory and racist.

This place is good just not quite 5 stars good. Its what I wanted it to be. Comfort food, I ordered the chicken fried steak (regular size) mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Everything tasted homemade the portions were perfect I still had room for desert. For desert I ordered the banana pudding. I would recommend it however, next time I go I will order one of the pies. I also ordered the sweet tea, its Texas style not southern style if you know the difference. Definitely give this place a try when your in the mood for some down home country cooking you wont be disappointed.

I needed to take a second to shout out this place, what an amazing find. Our waitress Jennifer was so on top of what we wanted and needed and how we wanted things cooked. Our food came out perfect, we were so happy with our meal cute spot for a quiet date night. The prices are on point and the food size were incredible. If I could give 10 stars, I would I recommend everyone who loves home cooked meals to stop by and try anything on their menu. We got the brisket stuffed baked potato, the fried pork chop and the Southwest Chicken, and every single thing was delicious. My husband and I went there last night for a quick bite and we are going back today and bringing the kids with us, it is a quiet and family atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: there were families sitting and enjoying their meals in a nice, quiet setting, bring a coloring book and it would be perfect to enjoy

The manager had a horrible attitude. Expected a $100 tip. Told my grandmother the tip she left wasn t good enough and she needed to give her $100. Had to ask for refills multiple times before receiving them. Food wasn t seasoned. Horrible experience, do not recommend waisting your money here!

Just got home from dining at this place. Disgusting! Not only was the food not very good but had to fight the roaches away. Grossed out by the roaches peeking out from behind the trim on the wall along side the booth we were sitting at we only ate 10% of our food. When we pointed out the uninvited guests to the waitress she acted as if it were no biggie and said she doesnt understand why they were there because they had the Orkinn man come out regularly. Lie! We were given a $4 discont off of our $50+ ticketeven though she saw we barely touched our food. I told the manager discretely on the way out and he got a bit of an attitude and told me that it was a big restaurant. Ive been to many much larger restaurants and didnt have to fight off any bugs from my food. Until today anyway. If I were a roach Id move to a restaurant with better food.

Even though it was lunch time I ordered The Large Chicken Fried Steak with Grilled Zhuchini and Mashed Potatoes followed by the Pecan Pie with Ice Cream. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this country cooking restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the staff. The service was exceptional, with our server going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious - it truly tasted like a home-cooked meal. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. I especially loved the fried chicken and mashed potatoes - they were out of this world! The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. We had the Hamburger Steak & Chicken Fried Steak and there was seasoning with EVERY BITE...both the brown and white gravy was on point. If you are looking for Southern home cooking look no more! We met a group of my family to share some good news. We reserved a table for 10 at 7:30 pm and over half the party didn t arrive until after 8 pm. The waiter was extremely understanding and worked with us to get everything we needed for everyone that was coming. There is a lot to offer and we tried a lot of different meals. The baked potatoes were a bit dry but everything else was as good as you can expect from a local diner. I was told the grilled cheese was really good and the banana pudding was the best I have had in Houston! Really glad we chose Neal s to share our news!

The food was good and plentiful, but nothing fancy. The gravy smashed. Just good Texas cafe food. The service could have been better, but maybe they were understaffed. The place was noisy, but sadly that seems to be the norm now. I get that carpet is expensive and takes a lot of maintenance in the food service industry, but put some sound dampening on the walls and ceilings. But yes we will return when were in that neighborhood. Kid-friendliness: There were lots of locals with kids there Wheelchair accessibility: Looked pretty ADA compliant. The food was EXCELLENT. I had chicken fried chicken and my husband had chicken fried steak. Both were fresh (not from frozen) and tender. The food was good. (We had the fried mushrooms and the Rio Grande Burger). The service was excellent. We were there with our toddler granddaughter. Our waiter was very attentive to the needs of a toddler. He made sure her food (chicken tenders) came out first, put on her favorite Disney movie on the TV, and gave us two cookies for dessert, one for her and one for us. It was clear to us that he knew many of the customers there. Highly recommend just for the attentive service. Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly. Really enjoy going to Original Neals restaurant. The one thing I recommend is they take a little bit more pride in the ladies restroom. You know us women we judge everything by what a restroom looks like.

The food was lacking in flavor. My wife had fried okra, mashed potatoes, and grilled shrimp with herbs. The portion size was good for the price. I will say I was slightly disappointed in the service when I picked up the food it seemed like i was not acknowledged when I came into the establishment. The food was hot when it was picked up. I didnt see many people in the restaurant so Im unsure if thats telling or if it was just a Sunday evening and people were at home. Overall not a horrible experience, but it wasnt really one that would warrant going back anytime soon.

Neal s is reasonable with their prices. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. The lunch special of the day for 9.99 can not be beat. Most recently, I had that fried pork steak with cream, gravy, potato casserole, and corn. It is only 10.99 at dinner. Comes with one of three daily desserts. Atmosphere is small town. Other customers are not the friendliest during lunch.

I had dinner here with my mom for Mother s Day as per her request. I drove from Clearlake to meet my family here. I ll tell you what, this is the best home style cooking I ve ever had (besides my own moms of course.)Lol! So the only bad thing I can take away from this visit is the fact that now I have to drive all the way to Tomball to eat at my new favorite restaurant

We took our great mother here for Mother s Day! The chicken fried chicken is seriously the best here! It actually has flavor, and comes to the table hot! My two girls loved their kids burger meal, and ended up finishing that, and moving onto my plate! The large peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream . Delicious!

Had the Lunch special today. Chicken fried steak, Mac n cheese, green beans, and banana pudding for only $10. Everything was good our waitress was super awesome and sweet. Told her this was our first time and she welcomed us and served us the kindness. We will definitely be back.
