Kids really enjoy this total pay house. Things to keep you children entertained for longer than parents and grandparents can last. Mid week is less busy, closed on Monday and Tuesday for only larger school groups. Well worth the daily rate. The yearly membership helps keep it open and adds up grades. Come and watch your kiddos light up and use their imaginations.

We recently hosted my sons second birthday party at Galveston Childrens museum and it went better than I could have planned ! We love attending the Galveston Childrens museum with my 5 and 2 yo boys. It does not get as crowded as the Houston Childrens museum which makes it easier for my little ones to run around without fear of being toppled over. I also feel many of the activities/displays are geared towards younger children which is perfect for my kids. We decided to have my sons birthday party there because we were looking for an inside party location that would be fun for my sons and keep them busy. From the moment we arrived to set up, the staff was prepared and ready to help. Abi and Amethyst brought a cart to our car to help bring in the party decorations and supplies. They then helped us quickly put all the decorations up providing suggestions for where decorations usually work best in the space, but they were completely open to my ideas. They have everything you might need or forget to bring including a piñata rope and stick! After the party reservation time had passed, they helped us move all food and decorations I still wanted to use outside to some picnic tables they have under trees. They told me not to worry about throwing away trash or decorations I didnt want to keep. Anything I left in the space they would clean up! I should mention, included in the price for the party is all day passes to the museum for all guests. This means even once the party room reservation time is passed, you and your guests can stay in museum for the rest of the day if you want to. Abi and Amethyst surpassed my expectations as far as party hosts go. The museum is such an enjoyable experience for anyone with small children. And they went above any beyond making the party experience enjoyable for us. I would host a party here again in the future.

My grandsons 7th bday was held here. What an awesome place. Thanks for the experience as we had the place to ourselves for 2 hrs on a Sunday morning. The young lady I believe Tena is her name, she runs the show and let me tell us what a fantastic job she does. We actually swapped phone #s for our love of cats. She also volunteers with animals. I signed up. We will definitely be back and to tour the rest of the property

This was a great place to explore while in Galveston. It gave us a break from the heat and the workers tried very hard to keep everything clean and tidy. The light up dance squares were a bit broken, but still a highlight. I would recommend the bug smashing game for young and old. The art supplies were a bit limited, but still very tidy.

We planned a small birthday party for one of my children at the museum and found the entire experience to be a delight. The party coordinator, Tara, was an absolute joy. I was alone the morning of the party and she helped me to bring in and set up all food and decorations. I could NOT have pulled it off without her help. The museum itself is incredibly kid friendly and interactive. I really appreciate how accessible the entire museum is to children of all sizes and abilities. In other museums we have been to I feel like the noise and sensory / digital overload have been high. This museum felt (to me) more hands on and LESS digital. Every guest walked away saying they could not wait to come back and that the drive to the island from Houston was totally worth it, to make a visit here. Wonderful little spot for toddlers and early elementary kids. Great value and cannot wait to come back.

My child enjoyed it, but the cost was pretty steep for an adult just to walk thru and watch their child play with things. Also, its placed in the Moody Mansion basement where the kitchen used to be before it was destroyed by a hurricane in 2008¿, so its very run down looking, and kind of smells. Most of the items appear like they were just donated by local daycares, and some didnt work at all. As a tourist, it definitely felt like a money grab.

We stumbled upon this gem when we were doing a tour of the Moody House. It is actually in its basement area. It was really great for after the Moody House tour for the kids to get their wiggles out.

Great place for toddlers to learn and have fun. Lots of creative activities, affordable membership, and lovely staff. They rotate and update the little stations over time. My 2.5 year old asks to go every day.
